Bassac Mekong Delta Cruises by Secret Retreats: "A must do in Mekong Delta"
We travelled on Bassac 111 with Annie who is charming and lovely, very clear with her instructions and information. Food is amazing, you never seem to stop eating and it is superb. Cabins are comfortable but compact as you would expect on a junk with only a small number. The trip to local village where Annie's Aunty lived was interesting, authentic look at delta life. Very relaxing on board, great views, peaceful and quiet. A highlight of our holiday.Maison Polanka: "Of excellence and sincerity"

Above all, the team at Maison Polanka exude sincere warmth, friendliness and passion for what they do. Thank you "Team Maison Polanka!"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "rejuvinating natural splendour"
"At this point in your travels this is the perfect place to be. Whether you've just completed your travels over to begin a trek or are in the middle of your journey you're probably ready for some clean air, beautiful views and sophisticated but understated pampering. The lodge itself sits astride a mountain ridge outside Pokhara allowing views to the north (Himalyas) and south (Pokhara). If your expecting ""bling"" (flat screens etc) forget it. If your expexting a proper mountain lodge then this is it. Beautiful architecture, natural building materials, total comfort, privacy and unbelievable scenery. I stayed for 3 days and never tired of the food, on the contrary I was left wondering what's next. Every meal has a local or continental version impeccably prepared and served. The chef and many of the staff have been at the lodge since it opened and have the food, beverage and service dialled in. I know this might sound a little ridiculous but I spent 3.5 weeks travelling India and Nepal and this was my favorited place to spend a few days. I guess it was just the perfect place at the right time. Next year we are hoping to do a 2 week trek, this is where we plan to start and end, I can' wait. "David’s Kitchen: "David’s Kitchen – amazing service, amazing food"
"We were in Thailand for our honeymoon and my husband planned a dinner at David's Kitchen for our one week wedding anniversary. The service was truly the best, it was amazing to have the actual David come and speak with us and congratulate us on our wedding! But more importantly (in my opinion :) ) the food was OUTSTANDING! The spicy fish salad with green apple - one of my absolute favorite dishes in Thailand (from our whole trip)! We also got the oysters which were so delicious! For dinner we had the Squid ink linguine with spicy seafood sauce which was cooked to perfection and the Braised Beef cheek slow-cooked in red wine with Paris mash, it was sooo tender and delicious. There was even a lemon sorbet pallet cleanser between courses...it was so delicious, we ordered it for dessert too! David's Kitchen is a must if you are visiting Chiang Mai - you will not regret it!! :)"Glenburn Tea Estate: "Magical Space"
At the end of a long, bumpy ride from Bagdogra you arrive at a beautiful tea plantation set on a hill with day and night views in all directions. Will, Faye and the rest of the staff could not be more accommodating. From a wakeup tea or coffee in your room to three wonderful meals a day it is a special place. The staff will take you on a tour of the tea plantation and villages, hiking to the river, tours to Darjeeling - you name it. You are met at the airport and returned after your stay. We stayed three nights which was minimal to take it all in. Guides tell us that after the monsoon season the place is green and the mountains in full view.Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Idyllic"
"This is our second time that my family and I have stayed at Sea Dance, Koh Samui and I can say with much sincerity that Poy and his wonderful staff have outdone themselves yet again. We stayed 3 years ago whilst still having that familiar feeling, Poy has added a lot of extra features to make our stay even more memorable. First of all, there were lots of familiar faces amongst the staff who made sure our children had enough to eat whilst our hands were always holding a delicious, refreshing cocktail. Thanks Kwan you are the best. The addition of the international menu ensured all our families taste buds were met. The buffet breakfast was awesome with so much choice with the hot food cooked in front of you. Secondly, the welcome addition of fun and friendly Faith ensured all our needs were met finding family entertainment for our children. For us, the location is idyllic being 350 meters from the main road you are ensured that your stay is a peaceful one whilst being surrounded by a secluded beach which makes it perfect for snorkeling and canoeing. The view of the ocean from the main pool is stunning with the water splashing gently against the oceans rocks make it a great back drop for spectacular sunsets. We stayed in a lovely villa with a plunge pool which was perfect for our family. The villa was spotless with housekeeping making sure it was clean every day. Thank you. A particular highlight was the band that played on Sunday afternoon whilst we ate a delicious seafood buffet. The atmosphere was amazing great tunes, and company with great cocktails. The band continued on into the night singing songs from all eras. For us, Sea Dance is a home away from home where you are treated like family and always feel so welcome. We will definitely return. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Muang La Lodge: "Très beau petit hôtel en bordure d’un affluent du Mékong et de sources chaudes"
"Very nice small hotel (10 rooms) next to a tributary of the Mekong and hot springs pool and water (enough) hot for locals and hotel guests, 2 small private pools of hot water, 1 beautiful pool with private access to a river island with bars, etc. etc.! Do not miss the excursions in 4x4 in the beautiful mountain wilderness hosting different ethnic groups organized by the hotel with local English speaking guide! The entire staff except 2 Laotian manager. "Sukoon Houseboat: "A superbly spiritual and idyllic destination"
This is a houseboat location on Lake Dal, Srinigar. It has been upgraded in the last three years and is an excellent experience for anyone looking for tranquillity in this kind of environment. Recent political disturbances will affect current travellers and will not be recommended by the UK foreign Office but once the troubles settle down again it will still be the perfect Kashmir experience. The service and courtesy is outstandingTugu Malang: "Unique, Stylish, & All-Time Favorite Hotel"
I love this hotel. It's an incredibly unique place that's adorned throughout with Indonesian antiques, and it also has an incredible antique shop for browsing or buying (not to mention a very large and well-curated selection of Balinese silver jewelry, both contemporary and vintage). The rooms are fantastic, filled with super stylish antiques, art, and fresh flowers. The hotel also has incredibly cool stationery in each room, reminiscent of grand hotels of the early 20th century. Melati Restaurant, part of the hotel, serves some of the best food in all of Java. This place is truly special and has to be one of my favorite hotels anywhere in the world.Hotel Tugu Bali: "hidden gem in plain sight"
"i am a vintage girl when it come to property, and i already known tugu as one of the heritage hotels in Indonesia. Never visit the other site tho, but the brand is all about antique and vintage Javanese set up in my mind. And the one in Bali for sure was stunning set up. With all old Javanese furniture in lashes green surrounding. As now, the area is becoming upscale and trendy and hip area, Tugu hotel is seriously get away from modern and chic neighborhood in just steps away. If you like vintage hotel, this is THE one."
