Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "One of the most relaxed places we’ve stayed for a while"
We spent six nights here in December 2015 and loved this place. It's not super luxurious (no aircon (not needed, great sea breeze!), no fridge in room, no wifi in room (but in reception and restaurant)), but very comfortable, and above all, just very relaxing. Our room ("baan") was right on the beach. It was great sitting our our open first floor porch reading and just watching the ocean. The 12km long beach was mostly deserted and simply stunning. The restaurant had a very relaxed and familiar atmosphere, beautifully designed with super friendly and efficient staff, dogs and cats lazily hanging out. The food is great, freshly prepared from local ingredients (locally made coconut icecream is wow!) that are freshly delivered from local producers every day. The various tours on offer are very much recommended, we loved the market visit, trying out local street food delicacies, and the island tour, exploring its unique ecosystem. This island and its resort are very special, way off the beaten track, and it hopefully stays that way!Maduzi Hotel: "Hidden oasis in a city center"
"If you appreciate quality in details - you will love Maduzi. It looks like everything is made of premium materials - furniture, decor and other elements of interior. We loved wooden floors (in contrast to carpet or tiles in other hotel rooms) - it looks and feels nice. Vanity table in the bathroom and jacuzzi and coffee machine - everything contributes to your comfort. It feels very private and personal. There is no large sign on the street and the hotel is kind of hidden. There are only about 40 rooms, so there is no crowd and it is pretty quiet and cozy. It feels more personal and it feels more like a home with a soul rather than a hotel without if that makes sense :) Breakfasts are amazing and completely different story from any other hotels breakfasts. If you do not care about swimming pool, but jacuzzi will be a nice plus for you - definitely consider this hotel. Room Tip: ask for a higher floor -"Sanak Retreat Bali: "Great bungalows in a splendid location"
We enjoyed a lot our stay in Sanak retreat Bali. The bunglaows have two floors and are ideal for families. The views are great anywhere from the hotel with a large and nice pool. The proposed hiking going to the waterfall is highly recommended with a very nice guide. Restaurant ok but not great. On the expensive side for BaliVilla Song Saigon: "This place is amazing"
"We have chosen this place thanks to TripAdvisor reviews and we were not sorry at all. It´s an old French villa next to Saigon river converted in a boutique hotel. The place is very relaxing, the staff is wonderfull and very friendly, the food is very good. They have a pier in front of the hotel and a speed boat that takes guests to Ho Chi Minh city several times a day. I highly recommend this place. It´s not the cheapest place in Ho Chi Minh, but it´s worth every $. Stayed April 2016"Mathis Retreat: "Perfect, Peaceful Stay in Ubud"
The Kenanga hotel was so beautiful and peaceful. I went there with a friend of mine over the holidays, and the staff was very accommodating. The lovely woman who owns the hotel was very sweet as well, and gave us great recommendations for good restaurants in the area. The hotel is located a little bit outside of Ubud, but close enough that it is only a short, inexpensive taxi from the main town center. There is also a free shuttle from the hotel to and from the center of town during the day. The infinity pool at the hotel overlooks the rice paddies, and the rooms were beautiful and very clean. The wifi is a little spotty in the rooms, but works great in the lobby, restaurant, and by the pool. I would definitely visit this hotel again!Sea Dance Resort: "More incredible than the pictures depict, Should be a 5 start resort!!"
This hotel was AMAZING! After staying in other "4 star" resorts on various islands and arriving to properties that did not come close to our expectations, we weren't expecting anything to write home about. Needless to say we were more than pleasantly surprised with the quality of this resort. The bathrooms are GORGEOUS, facilities are clean, and the pool was luxurious and beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they even brought us complimentary boozy popsicles while we lounged by the pool! If you want to stay somewhere that is far enough from the town that you can experience a hidden oasis, yet easily access the town for dinner/shopping/etc. with a $4 taxi ride, then this is the perfect place for you.Tugu Bali: "Magical grounds and delightful staff"
We loved our Dedari Suite with the private pool. Our favorite feature was the beautiful and peaceful indoor/outdoor shower - I've never enjoyed washing up more! The grounds were lovely, and the location right next to Batu Bolong Beach was great for surf lessons. Every single staff member was welcoming and friendly, and they truly went out of their way to help us get the most out of our stay. The Island Lodge: "Great time in “l’ile de la licorne"
"We really had great time in Island Lodge. It deserves its name of ""secret retreat"". The location is amazing and totally surprising. The hosts really welcoming. They have decorated all the rooms and hotel with great taste. We highly recommend the boat and bike tour that give you unique experience of Mekong Delta. The homemade food is delicious and worths also the trip. Perfect getaway from Saigon...book quick there is not a lot of rooms!"The River Resort: "Magical spot on the mighty Mekong"
This is a peaceful and tranquil spot, views of the river and surrounding mountains are stunning. Sunrise over the water was mesmerising. Chamapasak is a sweet little town and Wat Phou, an enchanting temple complex, is a short moped ride away. The staff were charming and attentive and helpful.Heritage Suites: "What a surprise"
"We didn't know where we going to be taken with a bit of a ride to get here on some back streets. As son as walked through the door we were greeted with towels and drinks and felt very much at home. We were upgraded to a better room due to it being low season so very nice. Service was impeccable and the place was spotless. We loved having the pool to come back to and yes we did swim au natural the night the manger dared us to being not many people booked in. :) We also had cocktails this night as she was doing a training for the staff so a very nice evening. The food was awesome could not fault at all. we would totally recommend this place and would happily come back here."
