Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Beautiful green grounds and Khmer haut cuisine"

Review by: timbulktwo | Source: Trip Advisor
"The rooms are comfortable adaptations of traditional wooden houses, the lighting is a little dim but they are clean and comfortable, the grounds are green and beautiful. The pool is warm and welcoming. Free tea and real coffee are available on demand from the friendly helpful staff. Whatever you do make sure you get the set menu dinner four delightful courses (and if you are lucky an interesting and fragrant amuse bouche as a bonus) for just $12! We also really enjoyed a delicate duck soup for breakfast, though Continental (with eggs) and American alternatives are available if you want. The set dinner was the best meal of our visit to Cambodia."

Maison Polanka: "Eden"

"Do not miss ! The place is intimate, not only in the romantic meaning but actually great for families and friends - only a few rooms, so the atmosphere is always cosy and welcoming. Fantastic garden with a beautiful pool, the rooms are arty with a unique touch quite far away from typical 5 stars hotels. But the pearl of the place is just the people and the staff, the best service we had ever, after many years traveling all across Asia. Always of good advice and great attentiveness - smiling and cheerful!! We've fallen under the charm of the place and dream to come back !"

Villa Mathis: "A little gem"

Review by: TheoSalvador | Source: Trip Advisor
"Went there without knowing what to expect and what a great surprised! This property is one of a kind, few villas scattered in a huge tropical garden, we were staying in Villa des Rizières with friends and everything was perfect, the bedrooms really nicely decorated the lodging area to die for and the pool just gorgeous!!! The staff is really helpful dedicated and friendly... I strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting to be close to Semyniak and Canggu but in a quite and stunning environment. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"

Locavore: "A “must” dining experience"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I went to Lacovore for lunch to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary and were very glad we did, it was one of the best dining experiences we have had anywhere. The booking process is very professional with follow up emails about what to expect, dress standards and how long the booking will be held for should guests be late. I have a food allergy and this was also followed up and discussed when we arrived. We chose the 7 course degustation menu, my husband the meat option and myself the vegetarian. However there were 4 appetisers before the first listed course and a pre and post dessert appetiser providing 13 courses in total. By the end we were full but the course sizes were such that we weren't unpleasantly so. Each dish was described when it arrived and all used ingredients local to the area, Bali and Indonesia. The cocktails also utilised local ingredients. Every dish had the perfect balance of flavours and textures and was beautifully presented. The waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive, friendly and professional. While it is not a cheap dining experience it is a highly recommended one. Book early however to ensure a booking, even for lunch. Dinner is often booked out weeks in advance.

Locavore: "Amazing"

Review by: ryansg | Source: Trip Advisor
"Quite a different experience of food made with local ingredients, but in a modern way. When you first enter, you can choose from the 5-course menu or 7-course menu, but don't be fooled - there are many more appetizers and desserts that they sneak into the menu. There was also a vegetarian menu, as well as some raw dishes. I don't eat raw stuff, so the waitress advised that I could substitute the items from the vegetarian menu, or other items from the 7 course menu. There is no a la carte menu. As each dish is presented, the waitress will explain briefly about the ingredients and how you are supposed to eat it. I think there are already many pictures of the dishes, so I don't have to go into them in detail. Sufficient to say, each dish is made of a complex and interesting symphony of flavours, so your tongue in for a major treat. The entire 5-course meal took 2 hours, so be sure to budget sufficient time for this experience. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. To book, you can go through the website, and be sure to book 2-3 months in advance to ensure that you can get a slot you want. The restaurant is usually fully booked. Also, if you do book - make sure that you do not get your booking wrong. They are serious about charging USD60 per person for no-shows."

David’s Kitchen: "A delicious dinner"

Review by: Peter K | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and I visited David's Kitchen last night for the first time since we moved to Chiang Mai a few months ago. Our only regret is that we didn't visit earlier! Everything about the evening was excellent - the quality of the food, the wines available by the glass, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, and our chat with the proprietor David (who then followed up with an email of thanks this morning). We look forward to returning to experience the re-modelled dining room.

Villa Song Saigon: "The best hotel in saigon"

Review by: Stephen B | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is probably the best hotel in saigon. The setting on the banks of the saigon river is perfect plus district 2 is set in a peaceful suberb of the city offering a river taxi to the center. Fantastic food and staff made our stay very enjoyable indeed although it is very expensive for Vienam it is well worth it."

Jing’s Residence: "Superb accommodation, sensational food and Imam is the best!"

Review by: Carol_and_Michael_W | Source: Trip Advisor
"Jing's Residence is sensational in every respect. Imam who is the resident manager is a wonderful fellow who greets you in a personal and intimate manner every time you see him.....he makes you think that you are the only person/people staying there and he is there just for you.....and yes he also possesses a great sense of humour. Upon check in you are provided with all the information that you need and are served a cool ginger tea with dates.....what a great way to be welcomed. Nothing is too much for him or his team! Breakfast was scrumptious with their cappuccino nice and hot. Dinner was 1st class, we chose two dishes with rice and the duck with seasonal fruit (duck is my favourite) was actually bettered by the chicken with preserved ginger. We finished up with their handmade apple turnover which is a house delicacy and was outrageously good! The afternoon tea ceremony is not to be missed, it's served upstairs in the lounge area and the little tray of delicacies that are served with your choice of tea were yummy. Dates, bananas, apricots, a free mini bar with chocolate, soft drinks, beer, orange juice that was replenished everyday and the toiletries provided are a nice touch. The little gift left the night before was a surprise and then the addition of red Chinese tags on your luggage is a good reminder of your visit to this beautiful restored courtyard property. We had Imam and three of the team come out and wave us goodbye.....sigh I will miss staying there, it's a long way from Australia to China for a long weekend! https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g325575-d1536016-r376919666-Jing_s_Residence-Pingyao_County_Shanxi.html#"

Tugu Bali: "Charming Hotel – really makes you want to stay in Bali"

Review by: Cindy T | Source: Trip Advisor
This boutique hotel is Bali at its finest- excellent service, gorgeous rooms, wonderful food, and traditional Balinese antiques incorporated flawlessly into the property. We were warmly greeted upon arrival by Putu, who was more than attentive and helpful for the entire duration of our stay. He made sure everything was ready for us, including our drop-off to the airport, and even gave us a tour of the art around the properly. Our room was comfortable, spacious and charming, complementing the rest of the hotel with antique art pieces on display right in the room. Every member of the staff greeted us with a smile and accommodated every small request. Extra perks make this boutique hotel special- like the freedom to have breakfast wherever we wanted. We chose to have our breakfast in a cabana overlooking the beach and every detail was taken care of, plus the food was delicious! This hotel made our Bali experience thoroughly enjoyable and we would definitely visit again.
