Talabgaon Castle: "Gorgeous Polo Palace"

Review by: Laura C | Source: Trip Advisor
A trip through Rajasthan palaces would be an elegant and interesting adventure. Talabgaon Palace, located between Jaipur and Ranthambore is a not-to-miss gem. The small village on the way to the polo estate is charming and pretty. Like the other palaces I've visited, out party was greeted with cool drinks and warm washcloths. We were lucky enough to get a tour of some of the rooms, all of which are beautifully appointed with antiques and original works of art. Every room is unique and very luxurious. On the grounds is a very large swimming pool with a pool house, large grassy areas for dining, and a very large polo field. The Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth II have graced this swanky locale--for the polo and the luxury digs. We were treated a very delicious supper set up outside, just for us. It was the sort of thing you see in travel mags, but rarely does it feel like 'this is your palace' for as long as you are a guest. The manager Aditya Singh works very hard behind the scenes to provide you with a seamless maharajah-style experience.

Tandjung Sari: "Fantastic"

Review by: Jacky F | Source: tripadvisor.com
We stayed in the village bungalows with our two sons. Room was fantastic, hotel exceptional and staff amazing. Well worth the money. Great position in sanur. Beds amazingly comfortable and the feel of the hotel is one of classic old style bali. Truly enjoyed our experience here and will return. Jacky Fidler Darwin

Le Calao: "Superb."

Review by: PerthSpray | Source: Trip Advisor
We can’t praise this restaurant enough. It has only recently opened and there are a few minor details that need sorting (like no bread and butter plates for the delicious and generous servings of complimentary home made rolls) but the main thing is the food, and that is exquisite. The ambiance puts you immediately in a good mood and the staff are attentive without being over the top. The Lao menu is extensive and is quite difficult to trawl through unless you have a good knowledge of the dishes and how big or small they are. I had pork stew not realising it was more of a soup. My mistake, but delicious just the same. Two nights later we went again and stuck to the Western menu. My wife had a repeat of the French Onion Soup followed by the Mushroom Ravioli. I had the Pumpkin Soup and Roast Pork Knuckle. All dishes were beyond compare and a testament to the Chef’s expertise. A delicious red and white house wine each topped off a beautiful night and at a surprisingly reasonable price of US$70. Remember, the Ravioli is to die for.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Felt like home away from home"

Review by: HariniSri | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at Neeleshwar Hermitage last month (Spetember 2015) and it was an awesome experience. We arrived at the place in the evening after a long and tiresome drive from Mangalore Airport. With two young and cranky kids..we were exhausted. But the traditional and warm reception we got at the Reception hall certainly cheered our grumpy lot quite a bit. First thing, I noticed at this place was, how Eco-concious they are. They have a no plastic policy, they do not use garbage churning stuff. Their restrooms have cloth towels rather than paper ones. All fresh and white. Their place has so much of greenery. Lovely Hibiscus all around. They make generous use of the flowers to decorate the premises including their spacious beautiful rooms. When we reached our room, we were greeted by the mild fragrance of incense and flowers. Soooo relaxing.. (...) My younger 3 year old got sick one night and they made sure that we got the medicine we required, even during night with short notice. They made sure we got a see a Paediatrician early next morning. I am truly grateful for their help. Not to forget, at my request they gave me some Hibiscus cuttings to carry back home and plant. Overall, an awesome place. Will go again with friends and family. "

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Take the tour!"

Review by: Tia M | Source: Trip Advisor
"Beautiful building - thoughtfully and aesthetically restored. There are three tours a day, 11, 2 and 3:30. Make it your priority and if you are there on a Friday, it's your lucky day. You will see why. The tour gives you a good perspective of the history and the lifestyle of the elite of Penang."

Tugu Bali: "Amazing Hotel with the kindest Staff ever!"

Review by: mentkapto | Source: Trip Advisor
"I have always been passionate about learning and embracing the local culture whenever I travel and Hotel Tugu brought me the perfect balance between Western commodity and Indonesian Traditions The staff was genuine and friendly and they made sure all our stay was special and unique. From the setup for the breakfast on the outside area to the afternoon tea on the raised bed in the garden area it was all perfectly planned and executed. On our second night we had the pleasure to enjoy dinner while watching a Traditional Balinese dance performance. It was interesting to see such performance while enjoying some delicious traditional food in the majestic entrance hall. They also have a delicious Japanese restaurant next door with an amazing decoration and an original Chinese temple surrounding the tables area that was impressive. The Hotel is walking distance to the beach where we walked to see the sunset and see the surfers catching some waves while enjoying our Balinese coffee. Our room was on the upper floor with a beautiful view over the ocean and the most comfortable king size bed I have ever slept in. The room was completely filled with vintage and local items and a traditional bath tube for a late evening bath after exploring Canggu area. The swimming pool made the perfect spot for my girlfriend to read a book and sunbath. On our last night it happened to be my birthday and the hotel staff surprised me over dinner with a delicious birthday cake. If that’s not the ultimate definition of a perfect hotel, I don’t know what could be. Will be returning again on my next trip to Bali and recommending to my friends back home."

Les Maisons d’Itac: "Best place we stayed in the Philippines"

Review by: Andrea L | Source: Trip Advisor
"Me and my gf spent 4 nights at Les Maisons d'Itac. We were supposed to stay for 3, we loved the place so much we decided to stay 1 more night (we couldn't stay longer as the Mayson Ulisse was not available anymore, so we kept our travel plan on). What can we say? Bryan (who spoke italian, we're italians and we have very charming and nice conversations during our stay) has been the perfect host. Always ready to help, charmful and totally welcoming. We booked our trasfers to Bantayan and back to Cebu through him and it was just perfect! The food at the maisons is great, the location awsome. They have an amazing spot for snorkelling just in front of the resort that you can reach in a few mins swimming. What makes this place special (apart from the view, the nature around, the sea) is the SILENCE. In almost a month in the Philippines we never found such a relaxing spot, where you can fall asleep at night hearing at the waves sounds. A true dream come true. If you're looking for a place to stay around Moalboal (it can be reached in 25 minutes scooter ride from the resort, you can rent just asking Bryan) DO NOT HESITATE to book a stay at the Maisons. p.s: say hi to Itac and Stacey for us :) Ciao! Andrea & Marta Room Tip: Maison Ulysse is a must-to-try!"
