Satri House: "Unbelievably beautiful"
Stunning boutique hotel with a beautiful decor and excellent staff. Highly highly recommend for a luxurious stay. The breakfast was delicious with a good selection and the rooms were comfortable and cozy. No complaints what so ever.Manda De Laos: "special spot in special town"
Favorite of many good ones in Luang Prabang. Built around a UNESCO protected fish pond, with wood decking and a lounge area. Beautifully lit at night. Sensational Laos food with French touch. Lovely French hostess. We recommended to two sets of people we met, all of whom enjoyed it as much as we did.Tugu Malang: "Flawless and one of a kind."
"Tugu is absolutely soaked in colonial era charm. It comes through in the way they support you throughout the visit. It's in the architecture and extensive art collection. It's all through the menu in the restaurant. It's in the amazing choices of furniture and design. We were given the exact suite we asked for. The tub was beautiful and nicely proportioned. The linens are really comfortable, and high-slung bed is interesting. We spent a lot of time relaxing at the hotel, because it was just that nice. (...) By all means, stay at the Tugu and really explore the place. It's got all kinds of interesting nooks and crannies. Check out Mount Bromo too - and bring your warmest clothes... it's really chilly up there in the morning. Tugu has fast internet, which is good too! Of all the great things which could be said about the hotel -- it really is the wonderful people that make the place great. Friendly and genuine."Mathis Retreat: "Fabulous"
Just a little out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud this hotel was fantastic. Tucked back off the street the entry isn't that inviting. But once inside, you see the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the rice fields and the thatched roof open air restaurant. We stayed in a bungalow with a private little yard (#7) Just behind the beautiful pool, an across from the restaurant. The room was very large, high ceilings, roomy bathroom. We loved it!! It has a shuttle into town and back. It was always great to get back to this beautiful place for a good meal, peace and quiet. It felt like we were coming home. Book this place. No worries.Slow Villas and Spa: "Wonderful honeymoon get-away"
"My wife and I spent two nights on Gili Air as part of our honeymoon and were very happy with our stay at the Slow Villas. From the welcoming folks at reception to the lovely spa staff, everyone was very nice and accommodating. The island can be quite rustic (i.e., intermittent power loss, transportation by horse-drawn carriage, etc ) but the Slow Villas provide a more modern, luxurious option (private villa and pool) with its own rustic charm (outdoor bathroom, mosquito net, etc). Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting to the island. Stayed September 2016, traveled as a couple"Reverie Siam Pai: "Oasisd"
We’ve stayed for 2 nights @ Reverie Siam Resort and all of us truly enjoyed it. We booked a Villa Family which was enormous in size. The Villa was well maintained, clean and equipped with a super comparable mattress. 👍👍👍👍👍Tugu Bali: "Excellent property with excellent team"
"Tugu Bali is exotic experience. this is not modern multi story sky scrapper with typical stereotype ambiance. Its just different. It offers that serenity. you get chance to experience local culture and local recipes and most importantly, if you are looking out for total relaxation, this is the place for you. Most impressive part is the hotel staff. the whole team is courteous and make you feel special. They take extra care to meet your every expectation. They are too good. Food quality as well is very good, though the variety is bit limited."The Apsara Rive Droite: "Schönes Hotel in zentraler Lage mit super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis"
Stock buchen"Labyrinth: "Fantastic Dining Experience"
Fantastic experience and very unique concept to local Singaporean food. I rang the restaurant 2 days earlier to check on the menu and mentioned we were celebrating my partner's birthday and the restaurant served us a cake with a candle at the end of the meal! That was really unexpected and a very pleasant evening. Thank you JosephMisool Eco Resort: "Wow"
This place was amazing. It's truly hard to describe the beauty of this place, and what they went through to make it available to the (discerning) masses. Everything was perfect, from the check-in, to the food, to the rooms, to the scuba-diving / snorkeling. I couldn't dive due to a lung issue, but trust me, I saw and experienced just as much. Even got to see some manta rays at the top of an underwater mountain. Calvin, who headed up the diving / snorkeling trips / PADI courses, and has a marine biology degree... very helpful and great instructor, with the added benefit that he's an actual scientist. Even gave a preso on his work with the manta rays. And I'd like to give a shout-out to my snorkeling guide (Nelson i.e. "Son") as well. He's a local, and used to live on a pearl farm... he dove down seemingly without effort 20-30 feet deep to search out cool things to see. I'm not even sure the guy needs scuba equipment. And the reefs in their 1000 km square "no take" zone were in amazing health (which is surprising given all the press about the decline of reefs in other parts of the world right now) - we saw tons of stuff. My favorites were the nudibranches - I saw about 5 or 6 kinds. We also saw a herd of "bumpheads" that apparently National Geographic was trying to get pics / videos of a few weeks before but couldn't find. The amount of biodiversity is truly astounding... the fish stocks and schools were absolutely amazing. Corals too. I also liked the "eco" theme of the resort - they really take it to heart. Our room had air conditioning, but it was only within the mosquito netting above our bed - I thought this was a clever and very energy efficient way to do it, because you really only want it at night when you're sleeping anyway. Also, they're trying to figure out how to do solar, just working through the details right now. One piece of advice: Just bring adequate cash to tip with (preferably IDR, but they can exchange USD or Australian $$ pretty easily) - and not because they expect tips (they don't) but you'll want to tip everyone when you're done, just because of how well they treat you.
