Mathis Retreat: "Perfect, Peaceful Stay in Ubud"
The Kenanga hotel was so beautiful and peaceful. I went there with a friend of mine over the holidays, and the staff was very accommodating. The lovely woman who owns the hotel was very sweet as well, and gave us great recommendations for good restaurants in the area. The hotel is located a little bit outside of Ubud, but close enough that it is only a short, inexpensive taxi from the main town center. There is also a free shuttle from the hotel to and from the center of town during the day. The infinity pool at the hotel overlooks the rice paddies, and the rooms were beautiful and very clean. The wifi is a little spotty in the rooms, but works great in the lobby, restaurant, and by the pool. I would definitely visit this hotel again!Mathis Retreat: "THIS IS IT!"
"No doubt you will have looked at about 20-30 hotels in Ubud on TripAdvisor and be completely exasperated by the process. Fear not! Your searching HAS COME TO AN END! This is the one! Where to begin. Located just on the outskirts of Ubud, it overlooks pristine rice fields with no other hotels in sight. From the front reception where you are greeted with a welcome drink and refreshment to the high quality rooms and the blissful infinity pool, there is little more you could ask for. Family rooms exist, and the presence of a few children around this small hotel does not distract from the relaxation. The restaurant on site is relaxing and has a high quality food menu that does not break the bank! (Very reasonable actually) The best bits - free to and from shuttle into Ubud centre every hour, tours available via booking at reception (including airport transfers) The 'could be improved' bits - very little, although the internet was a little slow... if you are dependent on this I suggest you need to rethink the meaning of holiday! ;o)"The Village House: "Relaxing and chill"
Seemingly in the middle of nowhere this hotel was a complete surprise to me. The staff were all incredibly friendly and really helpful with arranging things such as going to the national parks, when the shuttle bus didn't come the boss drove us himself. All the food was fantastic as where the cocktails, highly recommend this place.friendlyTugu Bali: "Like a honey moon again"
"This was our second time in Tugu and we were again mesmerized by the magic of the place and charm of the staff. With all the changes that is happening in Bali - we were here 4 years ago, Tugu is like a bubble of culture, peace and happiness. The rooms are simply palatial - don't remember seeing hotel rooms as large and majestic as these. They are decorated with astonishing pieces of Indonesian art and a bed so comfortable it was hard to leave the room. The menu of Indonesian food is simply amazing, a gourmet journey around Indonesia. If you feel like a western fare there are probably cheaper options in the area. I strongly recommend the spa and if you can, try Ms. Kadek, she is amazing! Above all the staff is what really makes the difference. It was great to see that many of them are still working there and they remembered my name after 4 years. Thank you Sri, Ari, Dewi, Wayan, Made Adi! They go the extra mile to make your stay the best one. It was like honey moon again."The Apsara Rive Droite: "Great hospitality, nice and cozy place"
Just got back from a 3-night visit in Luang phrabang. Stay here is fantastic. The place is very relaxed and cozy. Nice experience to ride a boat to downtown. The staff is great, especially Hann (GM) Who has excellent service-minded. I would love to go there again as the escape weekend.Tugu Bali: "Cooking class at Hotel Tugu in Canggu"
Best cooking class in Canggu! Good value for an excellent experience. I'm actually writing this review on behalf of my parents, who took a private cooking class (but were not guests at the hotel). The hospitality, beautiful setting, instruction and food were all outstanding. They learned the traditional preparation of three Javanese dishes from natural fresh ingredients down to every detail, like making milk from coconut meat. They made beautiful pictures and brought home the leftover food (which we all enjoyed) and the recipes.Satri House: "วิถีเรียบง่ายแต่แฝงไว้ด้วยความคลาสสิค"
Tugu Bali: "The Secret Retreat!"
"This is our 2nd stay at Tugu. We enjoyed it so much we couldn't resist another stay. Although it is a little more expensive the Tugu ""offer"" is unique. You can lie in your own private space overlooking the sea without being annoyed by hawkers and just watch the surfers, or lie by the pool in privacy. The perfect getaway. We were fortunate enough to experience the cultural evening which presented us with 3 dances - so amazing and professional - a totally memorable experience. We used the hotel driver to take us to Seminyak on a couple of occasions - he was polite, courteous and perfect in every way. Thank you Tugu - your staff our amazing...well done Jenny. Good luck with the Living Wall construction, we look forward to seeing it in the future."Manukan Island Resort: "Great stay in a hillside villa"
We stayed in a hillside villa. The villa was lovely with two balconies with amazing sea views and access to the private beach. It had all the amenities we needed. The staff are extremely helpful and polite and Ben made sure we had a great experience. The food in the restaurant was good and it has a nice atmosphere in the evening when the day trippers have headed back to KK.. There is also a house band happy to attempt any request you have.. Would definitely recommend a stay here.Muang La Lodge: "3 nuits à Muang La resort"
