Satri House: "Wonderfully peaceful boutique hotel"

Review by: Millie M | Source: Trip Advisor
"Had a wonderful time at Satri house in late August for the first few days of our honeymoon. The whole hotel is full of the most fascinating antiques and curios, and is really beautifully designed. We stayed up in the Satri House suite, in the building where the prince of Laos used to sleep! The suite was so beautiful, and had a view over the serene swimming pool. If you are a fan of vintage and mid-century antiques, you will love it! Whilst staying at Satri House (due to it being the raining season) there were no other guests, so we were treated to the experience of staying in our 'own private mansion' with all of the fabulous and incredibly helpful staff there to cater for our every need. Just perfect! No matter the time of day or how late we had been out, we always returned to the hotel to find 4 people at the front desk ready to help us, and two behind the pool side bar, just in case we fancied ordering a drink! The food deserves special mention too. Dinner on the first night was delicious - lots of carefully crafted local specialities with 5* presentation. Although the hotel is set away from the main part of town, it's still within walking distance or a very easy 2 minute tuk tuk ride. We preferred being slightly further out as the peace and quiet was exactly what we wanted at the end of the day. "

Villa Mathis: "Excellent Villa, total luxury and fabulous helpful friendly staff – the best"

"We stayed as a family group of 4 adults. The rooms and layout are unique, not like any hotel I have stayed in. We had our own private chill out area and pool, total luxury, very beautiful tucked away in the gardens. very secluded but with access to main hotel pool and restaurant area. The staff were magnificent and the rooms lavishly designed, spacious with lovely bathrooms, very special. This is a honeymoon quality destination."

The Cabochon Hotel: "Elegant hideaway"

Review by: ColinM312 | Source: Trip Advisor
Loved staying in this hotel. Situated at the end of a lane off busy Sukumvit, it is a quiet oasis, tastefully decorated in colonial Asian style. The staff are warm and friendly. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is a rooftop pool with good views. The breakfast is very good. Highly recommended

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Hôtel Parfait"

Review by: dragava | Source: Trip Advisor
"Excellent hôtel-concept.

Tugu Lombok: "Fantastic"

Review by: Ian B | Source: Trip Advisor
"This has to be one of the best places we have ever been. So relaxing & looked after with great surroundings with also plenty of things to do with the kids. That is what a holiday is all about. The beach is so clear and perfect for kids as is not too deep! The architecture in this resort is breathtaking and the rooms are luxuries. When you walk in you will be amazed! Plus the food is very good, love the breakfast and everything is so fresh! We will be back! Stayed January 2017, traveled with family"

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "5 star accommodation with culture and heritage"

Review by: carolyncheah | Source: Trip Advisor
A beautiful property, rich with history, culture and heritage. It transports you back to a different era once you walk past its gates. The tour is a must to appreciate the history of the mansion. Heaps of beautiful settings for unique photographs. Strategically located in the heart of Georgetown and walking distance to the famous Penang Street Art. A brilliant experience for my teenage boys who who up until now have only been exposed to modern holiday accommodation!

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Exceptional stay in a very unique property"

Review by: Asdghik M | Source: Trip Advisor
"The property is absolutely beautiful and I couldn't stop taking pictures of all the intricate details. It felt surreal to wake up in such a beautiful hotel and I would definitely stay here again when I'm back in Penang. The room was spacious and comfortable with all amenities, a mini bar with free refreshments, daily fresh snacks like delicious cookies and other sweets, toiletries, big closets, a tv and a beautiful balcony perfect for enjoying my morning coffee. The breakfast was great with lots of choices. The fine dining restaurant Indigo is a must try! I recommend: the crispy duck leg and the coconut pineapple cake for dessert."

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Relaxing get-away"

Review by: traveltrotter2015 | Source: Trip Advisor
Rice and Zen is set in the most gorgeous location, amidst the paddies and lush landscape. Michael is a very attentive, yet discreet host and we had a lovely time exploring the local area and restaurants on the bikes/scooter provided. The pool is gorgeous and perfect for lazing away an afternoon or morning; the villa accommodation is well appointed and slept our family of 4 (kids aged 4 and 6) very comfortably. Many thanks!

Tandjung Sari: "Luxurious"

Review by: Bettyjane L | Source: tripadvisor.com
Unfortunately we only had one night here...it was so beautiful and authentic, the staff so friendly, perfect location and our room was a true haven of indulgence. The dancers, at the dinner show, were the best we saw and were truly amazing. Buffet dinner was good too.
