Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Worth seeking out"

Review by: slmaleski | Source: Trip Advisor
Glad we found this! We stumbled onto Le Du on our way to another restaurant where we had reservations. It looked so interesting we made a reservation for the following night. Choose options for each of the four courses. Each is creative and well prepared. A modern take on more tradtional thai ingrediants with a french influence. Each dish is complex and the server carefully explains what is being served and how it was prepared. They offer wine flights, go for it. Each wine was perfect with the food that it accompanied. Hard to have made better wine selections. A generous pour of all four wines (four courses) unlike many wine flights. Easy walk from skytrain staion Chong Nosi. My ONLY critisism is that for the thrid course they only have one option that does not have a surcharge. It was fantastic, but would have liked at least one more no sur charge choice.

Tugu Bali: "Hidden Gem in Bali"

Review by: i_am_a_polar_bear | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at Hotel Tugu Bali for 2 nights and it was exceptional. The hotel is located in a very popular area of Bali (Canggu) with great night life, beaches, and surfing. The staff was very attentive and hospitable. In particular, Putu, was very helpful at reception. He would go above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. He would always greet us by name with a smile and arrange everything for us including breakfast, spa appointments, a shuttle to the airport, a tour of the hotel and even historical info on the antiques and artifacts on display.. The hotel is very unique in that it has a big emphasis on the atmosphere, decor, and mood. There is a large collection of antiques, but don't think that this means the hotel feels old. All the amenities are modern but the atmosphere makes you feel like you're in a tropical paradise. This is not your standard ""cookie-cutter"" style hotel. We stayed in the Dedari suite which is on the ground level. It is very spacious. It has its own entrance to a front garden before entering the room itself. It almost has the feel of a stand-alone villa. Unique features of this suite include a private plunge pool and an outdoor washroom. The bed is the most comfortable I have EVER slept in. It is bigger than a normal north american king size. I wanted to take it home. The breakfast options are amazing. And we had the option of eating anywhere on the premises. First day we ate on a raised cabana overlooking the beach. Second day we ate on a balcony overlooking the gardens. While in Bali we stayed at 3 different hotels in Uluwatu, Seminyak, and finally here at Tugu in Canggu. By far, staying at Tugu was the best. Highly recommend that anyone reading this should stay at Tugu Hotel. You will not regret it!"

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"

Wonderful location and impeccable service. The clubhouse offers good, locally Thai food and the breakfasts are great. The houses are clean, well furnished, and some have great views of the andaman sea Also great if you´re travelling alone. The best part was experienciing moonlight over the beautiful island bay. Simple luxury. Time to relax.

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Luxurious, Eco – Friendly!"

Review by: Joshua Y | Source: Trip Advisor
"After a month of trekking and sight seeing in Nepal. Tiger Mountain was a much welcomed stay. Marcus was an absolutely fantastic host along with his staff. Both went above and beyond to accomodate and ensure we were having the best of times. Definitely recommend to anyone travelling Nepal // January 2018"

Manda De Laos: "Very best in luang prabang"

Review by: ddmmBelgium | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is the very best restaurant in Luang Prabang for Lao food. We strongly suggest the signaturen menu. The taste is wonderful, soft , sophisticated dishes. Although iT was 1000000 Kip that is only 70 euro. Do make a reservation. The setting is wonderful, nearly outside on a beautiful pond and very quiet."

Jing’s Residence: "Do not miss this!"

Review by: Sallie L | Source: Trip Advisor
We spent two lovely nights at this boutique hotel while visiting Pingyao. It is beautiful, serene and wonderfully restored. Our room was not large, but very well appointed with a king platform bed, desk, armoire and mini-fridge with complementary drinks and snacks. The bathroom was perfect with a large shower with great hot water pressure. We ate in the restaurant our first night, and it was terrific! As usual in China, the food was modestly priced and the wine was fairly expensive. But we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! But the thing that make this little gem excel is the staff. We travel a lot and I don't think we have ever found a place where every staff member was so welcoming! Everyone spoke English and wanted to practice their skills whenever they could. When we went out, we were welcomed back with an opened front door. When we came in for breakfast (very good and a broad selection), we were greeted by name and asked how we slept. Everyone consistently had a smile on their faces! It was a joy to stay here!

David’s Kitchen: "So good in many ways!"

Review by: eupoo | Source: Trip Advisor
"Was so happy that I booked David's Kitchen for my mom's birthday. Everything was so great from the amazing menu, the delicious food, the ambiance, and the service. The menu was extensive but everything looked so good on it. I was sad that I was actually suffering from a stomach bug at the time because I wanted to eat everything. The lobster bisque is definitely ON POINT. I was weary to try because they're usually heavy and creamy and it was actually so light and even foamy at the top. A must try. The french onion soup doesn't have much cheese which I welcomed due to my circumstance, but would've preferred more if I was feeling better. The beef cheek is also a must try! Melt in your mouth. David himself also came to great us twice, our names were put on the table, and they also made arrangements for my mom's birthday. He even sent us a followup email afterwards. The attention to detail and personal touch was an appreciated surprise. The decor is also light and comfortable for a 'fancy' restaurant. It never felt stuffy in there and it had a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend. A must go in Chiang Mai!"

Rachamankha: "Breathtaking Buildings and Grounds"

Review by: Brishenv | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Rachamankha Hotel is the most beautifully designed hotel at which we have ever stayed - an architecture and design lover’s dream. People are literally taken aback when they drive through the gates and see the front entranceway with a huge fabric panel flapping in the wind. We stayed in a ground floor room with incredibly high ceilings, a huge bathroom, and big, stylish dark wooden furniture and doors. Rachamanhka has all your modern amenities but each detail is tied beautifully together by its historic Chinese and Thai aesthetic. In the courtyard just outside our room, the welcoming seating area as well as the plants, paths and pieces of art, worked together to make us feel calm and relaxed. This is the only time we’ve ever stayed in and ordered drinks just to hang out in a hotel’s courtyard! The pool was beautiful and perfect for cooling off after a long day in the sun. Or you can just lay in the poolside chairs and have a drink with a book in hand. It’s easy to walk to many things, or just grab a tuk-tuk for a quick ride. Highly recommend staying here if you want a relaxing, luxurious time in Chiang Mai. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"

Yandabo Home: "Zwischenstopp mandalay-bagan"

Review by: Josefine B | Source: Trip Advisor

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Perfect"

Review by: sixfingers | Source: Trip Advisor
A great place to stay. Views were stunning, hosts were really helpful. Tea tour, walks and toy train ride all great, and the Glenburn guides took all of the hassle out of it. Food was great too, and lots of it! Ride was long and bumpy, but drivers were safe and friendly. Picnic at a viewpoint was also a highlight.
