Mume: "A modern take on local flavours"
After soup dumplings galore and night market snacks Mume offered a fine dining version of Taiwanese flavours and it was nice to experience the variety. The setting is sleek and minimalist but the service is warm and welcoming. We sampled a range of dishes from the menu which offers snacks, small and big plates including oysters, warm sourdough, potato with Taiwanese bacon, Ox tongue and crispy Amadi. I normally ignore dessert but they were intriguing and lighter with peach sorbet and crispy almonds and cucumber yoghurt mousse. Totally deserving of all the positive reviews. We have been to babe a few times now, and it never fails to impress- Creative and delicious. Food wise, it is Amazing attention to every tiny detail. Michelin starred Chef Ramsey's always comes up with a unique menu. A world class restaurant right here in KL. "It is a must to visit Cuisine Wat Damnak during your stay in Siem Reap! The food was great, a mixture of local and french style. The atmosphere was stunning, we sat on the first floor and enjoyed our meal. We were supposed to sit near the window, enjoying the moonlight and clear sky in Siem Reap. The waiter helped us to change the seats while it suddenly started to rain and a few drops started coming from the roof top. "My wife and I took a 3D/2N river cruise with Wow Borneo in February 2017. The boat was clean and comfortable. We had the superior cabin, which included a double bed and private bathroom. All the guest cabins were air conditioned. 3 meals a day were served on the main deck. The chef aboard was excellent! We certainly never went away hungry. The crew and guide were excellent. Our guide spoke excellent English, which was a major help since we speak very little Bahasa Indonesia. She was also very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and also the local culture. She had a really sharp eye for spotting animals on the shore as we passed. Of course the main attraction was the chance to see Orangutans. We were not disappointed. We say them every day of the cruise, and at one point saw 6 in one location. There were also numerous monkeys and birds. This was the best tour we have been on in our year in Indonesia. "Having enjoyed our river cruise from Bagan, we were whisked by a small boat to arrive at Yandabo Home and a warm greeting from the staff group. A real achievement to create this boutique hotel here, off the beaten track. Simple bedroom with a high quality bathroom and products and food well presented. Friendly staff took us to visit the local villages with tea and biscuits on the way on the boat back a nice touch. Thanks to all the team. This was our second trip to stay at Sea dance resort and it did not disappoint! Such a great vibe, beautiful pool and surrounds and the food and cocktails are to die for. The Hotel Tugu was the best surprise of our two week trip to Bali. From the second we walked into the lobby we were greeted by the most friendly, helpful and beautiful staff. We had just left the Ritz Carlton and already this place was running circles around the staff from the Ritz. It was one beautiful surprise after another. From the room, to the services to the good, proximity to the beach to the furnishings. Hotel Tugu is a gem and not to be missed. The hotel manager is lovely, helpful and has the staff well trained and lovely. Don't miss the Japanese restaurant with a view of the ocean. Cheers to hotel Tugu for making our trip. If you have an appreciation. For aesthetically pleasing things you cannot miss my this. If you're looking for something special, unique and authentic then Tugu is it! A truly wonderful experience all round. Our accommodation was lovely. We stayed in the Dedari Suite and we're lucky to have not just a plunge pool , but an extended view through reeds across a pond and beyond to a nearby temple. We could even get glimpses of the surf! The staff were amazing, the gardens and buildings incredible. A wonderful way to immerse yourself in Balinese history. The attention to detail is everywhere, right down to the metal elephant door knobs in the public restrooms. Trying one of Tugu's cultural banquets is highly recommended. The recently opened Ji restaurant and bar is also destined to be a winner. Good food and drinks in a very quirkily exotic bar.The Cabochon Hotel: "Great central Bangkok hotel"
Small and secluded, this boutique hotel was a lucky find. Situated in a lovely area of Bangkok, the hotel has beautifully decorated rooms and a fantastic rooftop pool (see photos) Staff go out of their way to assist. Reasonably priced.
