misool: "Phenomenal! The most incredible experience and marvelous resort"
"This is our favorite place in the world now! Raja Ampat is astounding and Misool eco resort is the true gem of the region! We were there as snorkelers and loved every aspects of our stay there. Everything was organized and personalized flawlessly, from the booking process and transfer from Sorong to our perfectly set snorkeling planning on a great variety of gorgeous sites, everything about our stay was indeed quite perfect! Our bungalow was impeccable and spacious, wonderfully appointed and located, with the best outdoor bathroom of all times, the food was incredible with a variety of local and international choices, the snorkeling sites were remarkable. And maybe above everything else, everyone at the resort was formidable, each and every person working there warmly and kindly gave us the best experience of our lives! We are traveling around the world for a couple of years and this is by far the most amazing location and resort we've visited! The conservation efforts of the resort are working, the area is thriving again, it's inspiring. To us, Misool eco resort is a true haven and bliss is what we continue to feel when looking back at our time there. We will return for sure and highly recommend them. Thank you all again for making our time in Raja Ampat so unique and unforgettable. "Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Priceless views and amazing service"
"You will feel like you have entered a different world altogether when you arrive at Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge. Firstly, you are treated to the most amazing views, which you never tire of even after spending days in Nepal. The Annapurna range in all its glory can be truly appreciate from the lodge, and you are not to miss the stunning picture opportunity of the mountain reflection on the infinity pool. The lodge itself is very comfortable and relaxing, you can do as much or as little as you like. The staff are incredibly attentive - each and every one of them. Marcus, the resort MD is so warm and friendly and so knowledgeable when it comes to Nepal, and most other things that it makes for a very wonderful stay all around. I would love to return soon, next time perhaps with the entire family when it is winter and there is good excuse to sit in the common area around the fire :) Best, Pramila"Locavore: "Diana"
I wrote a review two days ago and got the name of the restaurant wrong! Now I want to redress that. Restaurant Locavore was superb! We went for my daughters birthday and we all had such a great experience. The food was awesome; the generosity of courses was amazing and the staff were kind, friendly and completely professional. This was our second visit in two years and we look forward to visit number three next year!Inle Princess Resort: "Wow! A magical place to stay"
"This amazing lakeside hotel was my favourite hotel during our trip to Burma. The tranquil arrival by boat set the scene for a wonderful couple of nights stay. Hibiscus flowers decorated the bed and the towels in the bathroom. I loved the outdoor shower and nice to have the loungers to relax on to watch the sun set over the lake. The restaurant had a nice selection of Asian and European dishes and the wine list featured some local wines that were from a vineyard only a few miles away. A magical place to stay "Cuisine Wat Damnak: "my no 1 in Siem Reap"
Excellent food, excellent staff, nice owner who even walks up to the road to greet you there and walk you through the garden. Interesting fusion kitchen, nice but small wine list. Would go back there every day!Amata Lanna: "The Best Experience We’ve Ever Had"
My wife and I stayed at Amata Lana for 4 nights, and it was absolutely amazing. The boutique hotel is extremely authentic, beautiful, and clean, but that is far from the best part. The cherry on top of it all was the exquisite, friendly, and capable service we received. We saw the same smiling faces everyday, and Rebekah was the definition of a perfect host. She had great spa and dining suggestions, and never hesitated to go the extra mile and make sure our needs were met. We are leaving today and it saddens us greatly to do so. If we ever make it back to Chiang Mai we will 100% be choosing Amata Lana. Do not hesitate to do the same for yourself, you will not regret it!Mie Cafe: "A lovely experience"
"We chose this restaurant for its proximity to the Beatocello concert at the children's hospital. (Saturday nights - an extraordinary event put on by Dr Beat Richner in support of the children's hospital which he founded.) The restaurant is stylishly cool and modern, with a little fish pond running alongside the outside patios (into which my fork unfortunately dived.) The food is delicious, and the chef came out to talk to the guests about his plans to develop the restaurant. a very enjoyable evening."Jing’s Residence: "Great Property"
The highlight of our trip to Pingyao was experiencing Jing's Residence. The accommodations, staff, food, and service were 5 star all the way. Mr. Hadianas, the General Manager, and his excellent staff made you feel like one of the family. It is the ONLY place to consider when staying in Pingyao. Experience authentic old world charm while luxuriating in modern conveniences and amenities. A truly wonderful property. I highly recommend it.Arumdalu: "The best Belitung can offer"
On our first trip to Belitung, we stayed 2 nights in a hotel in the city before moving down to Arumdalu Private Resorts. We planned it in such a way that our trip ended in Arumdalu, hoping for a perfect finish to our long holiday. We were not disappointed. After an hour drive from the town centre, we arrived at the lush grounds of Arumdalu. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our villa was beautiful; spacious, very clean and well provisioned with useful amenities. There is a private pool (with warm and very clean water - non chlorinated!) to every villa. The food in Sahang Restaurant was delicious. The menu offered limited selection of fusion food, yet all of them were amazing. We took turn to try all the different items on it, and love every single dish. The view from the restaurant which opened towards the beach was simply beautiful. The best part of Arumdalu must be the private beach. It was truly private as the property was surrounded by virgin and lush plantation. The pure white sands, enormous boulders backdrop and clear blue sky made Arumdalu the ultimate relaxation spot. Some of the activities offered include: batiking (there is a resident batik craftsman), canoeing, walks and hikes to the windmill and big boulders scattered along the beach. A note about the batiking: children can also try the process and be as creative as they can, while adults can even order customised batik at very reasonable prices. The price of the villa was, admittedly, quite expensive. However, it includes pick up and transfer to the airport (which can be considerably pricey in Belitung), generous breakfast portion (we had 4 portions for us and the kids everyday) and amazing experience in Belitung. Arumdalu is definitely non-mainstream and only for the discerning travellers. Highly recommended and hoping we could one day return!Amata Lanna: "Charming oasis in busy area"
"Already fell in love with this historical building and courtyard at the time I arrived. Very lovely architecture with extremely welcoming staff assisting upon checkin. This boutique hotel has 12 rooms and everyone in the hotel tries to make you feel like home. Rooms and hotel area are spacious, very comfortable and clean. Location is perfect as it is just block away from the Big C supermarket, The night Bazaar, Saturday market and also very convenient access to major spots of Chiang Mai. And yet you don’t feel like being in such a busy area once you walk into the hotel - a great escape from the busy town. If you’re looking for an unique stay in good location, this is a place you would love"
