Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Impressive, not only with the hotel but also what it stands for."
I believe the facilities and service is already spoken for, but what is really exceptional is the values with which it has been built. All the waste from the toilet is filtered by plants and then released into Lake Inle which it is built on. I had the privilege to see the site where food waste is being processed to make compost for the plants in the gardens, which happen to be the source of ingredients for the hotel restaurant. From my observation, the staff are treated very well and deeply respect the founder of the Inle Heritage Foundation, whose motto is people over passion, over profit. Although I mentioned that the services have already been recommended enough, the restaurant deserves a mention. I hate bread and I had the first piece of bread I like at Inle Heritage.jing: "We still dream about it!!"
Jing's Residence is a chinese gem inside the walled city of Pingyao. The hotel is located into a historic courtyard that was carefully renewed to maintained its original characteristics. By the way, attention to every detail is something you will definitely find during your stay there. The decoration of the common areas, the bar, breakfast and the room, everything is made to make you feel you are in a special place. They serve west and chinese breakfast every morning, try both if you can. If you have the opportunity try the local dishes, the food is absolutely fantastic. We made noodles class and also recommend, they offer other special activities such as origamis classes for adult and children too. We stayed for 3 nights but had a train only in the evening so the offer us a late check out (actually more than late, we left the hotel only at 8pm!) with no extra cost. This made all the difference in our trip. Staff was always more than friendly and helpful. and they also speak good english. It is expensive but worth every penny. We can't praise this hotel enough. #❤️Cuca: "I proud with their service. The front office staff are warmly and nice"
The best spanish restaurant. Many spanish visitor come to this place when visited bali. They serve us very well and clean are. You can enjoy the food on indoor area or outdoor area. I like the outdoor because the garden view are awesome and many lightning on the skyVilla Mathis: "un hôtel pleins de magie"
The Village House: "Our Borneo Adventure"
Stayed here for 2 nights during our adventure. Excellent accommodation very clean, Air conditioned. Nice and peaceful (until call to pray which is quite loud). Lovely pool nice and cooling. Lovely place away from all the hustle and bustle. Staff very attentive and helpful. Food was good breakfast pancakes were fabulous !!Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Luxury camping and safari experience"
"Staying at NRLS camp is a complete experience. The luxury tented accommodation includes a comfortable king size bed ( air conditioning available in some), with separate bathroom ( hot shower, basin & toilet)- it is well appointed & clean. The tents are private and set amongst the trees (we were visited by several monkeys- which were not annoying). Full board included all meals, snacks & drinks, which were served in a family/dinner party type arrangement- allowing us to have wonderful chats and conversations with other travellers. Food was mainly authentic Sri Lankan- beautifully presented & excellent quality. Staff were courteous & friendly. Of course, the highlight was the safaris ( two per day). Our guide was outstanding - knowledgeable about Yala National Park and the Sri Lankan wildlife, responsive to our questions, flexible with our requests and he offered helpful photographic tips too. The jeeps are clean & well equipped ( but as with 4 wheel drives expect to go over some bumpy roads & through water). During our 4 safaris, we were lucky to spot 2 leopards- one was a special sighting ( close up for about 15 minutes without any other jeeps present), several elephants and many birds. Unfortunately - no sloth bears sighted, but naturally there are no guarantees for wildlife encounters. Overall this was a fun experience & I would highly recommend it."Jing’s Residence: "Somewhere different with old style class"
A different location, a relatively small, old walled city and accomodation to match. The only downside would be Pingyoa has too many shops selling virtually identical goods! The city wall is well worth a walk around.Supanniga Eating Room: "Amazing food"
"The food was fantastic. My sister who's lived here for over 20 years couldn't agree more with the authenticity of the food and ingredients, some even pleasantly surprised us. The service is maybe a lack of English. But they are trying very hard. Much appreciated. I'd recommend The trio appetizers - Yum Mieng Yong, Ma hor, Khaotang Namprik Kakmoo, - Yum Crispy Leaf Fish, and Hor Mok Crab Meat. "Jing’s Residence: "Stay and be immersed in 1000 years historic China"
WHen I visited Pingyao, I felt like stepping into an Ip Man/Kung Fu Master movie. This hotel amplified that experience as, like most of Pingyao, it is a beautifully restored 1000-year old historic oriental masterpiece. It really felt like one was staying at Ip Man's place itself!...well in addition of the excellent breakfast, modern amenities like WiFi and television, cozy and luxurious lounge. Since this hotel is located at an unassuming street in Pingyao, it is also very quiet. If you can afford it, stay here when visiting Pingyao.Rahai’i Pangun: "Fantastic four days up the river in Tanjung Puting"
"What else can I say that others haven't already said? WOW Borneo does an amazing job making sure your visit to Tanjung Puting will be one of your most memorable experiences ever. From the amazing, spacious Klotok boat, to the tasty and abundant food, to the little things like passing out a cool wash cloth when you return from shore, these guys are really and truly committed to their work. One really nice example: at the start of the trip we changed our plans to spend more nights on the boat rather than stay for a night at Rimba Lodge. Our friends at WOW handled the change gracefully and promptly wired back the funds I had pre-paid for the hotel. My only wish, and it's small, was to get more local historical and cultural insight (in English) from our guide, Pretty - who to be fair is relatively new on the job. Despite this I always knew our needs would be foreseen and met, and I know my companions came away from our rainforest encounter with a profound send of new awareness and inspiration."
