Amata Lanna: "Wonderful Hospitality"
My parents stayed at the hotel earlier this year for a few nights. Both of them are in their mid-seventies and still fit and able. However, they appreciate a little extra comfort and service, and this is exactly what they received at the Amata Lanna. They loved the amenities, the food, the location and most of all the staff. Keep up the good work guys!!!Sandat Glamping Tents: "Resort da sogno"
Grazie!!!!! Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "Dine in style on the river"
This is a wonderful way to see some of Bangkok’s major attractions at night as you pass slowly by sipping Tattinger champagne and eating delicious Thai food.Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Small Luxury Hotel Which Delivvered Great Service in Difficult Conditions"
"Considering the rain that this part of Thailand has had in recent weeks the level of service was excellent. The management team and staff are friendly and efficient. The quality of food is excellent and its presentation take it to the next level. Reception was happy to organise transport for us when we attended a private party and subsequently in the week when we visited Fisherman's Village. We were met at the airport by the owner of the resort Poy, and he regulalry puts in an appearance at the hotel. He can be justifably proud of his team, as they work tirelessly to .your stay is a happy one. We will be back, Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Maison Polanka: "A haven and a retreat"
Stepping back rough the private gates into this beautiful estate with its garden, pool and delightful traditional house and rooms, was a perfect balance for the busy town and temple trips. The team lead by Kathy and Francis were all superb and nothing was too much trouble. We took a package that included guide and transport. We used the massage facilities also. Cold towels on hand as we returned from our trips out, glasses of iced water by the pool was all part of the welcome. just 5 rooms in total meant that it was like a private villa. We stayed in the Green Room in the main house which has a large terrace with seating and fans and is the nicest room being the original sitting room of the house before it was a hotel.Flower Island: "Perfect away from it all"
From the journey to the Island and everything during our stay to the time we had to leave was simply amazing. The fantastic approach by boat, the welcome, the staff, the food, the serenity, the views, snorkelling, canoeing, the beach, the bar, the rooms and the dog. We absolutely loved the whole experience. No TV, WiFi, unless at the reception, traffic, hustle and bustle. A most perfect few days of sheer basic bliss in simple true rustic charm. Total chill out. We will be back, for longer next time!Cuca: "Great food!"
This interesting concept restaurant had Japanese inspired tapas. The food and service were excellent! We really enjoyed the broccoli Caesar, the ceviche, the meatballs and the meat and potatoes. Good for kids as well!Talabgaon Castle: "ABOVE & BEYOND our expectations!!"
"First and for most , sorry it's taken this long. We were there in late March 2015. We had the pleasure of experiencing the absolute grandeur of 'Talabgaon Castle' through our tour company 'Trinetra Tours'. Don't be put off by the drive to the place, as it seems endless. But, wait till you get there....... Words fail me about the grandeur of the place. This is somewhere you would go......just to 'chill' and enjoy the surroundings. We were a large group of 12 and every room was special. Mr Dalpat the owner, organized some Rajasthanie folk dancing for our entertainment, during dinner and it is something we still talk about. Thank you! We had a perfect night in every way. Staff and service could not be faulted and in short it's worth the trip. Do something different and experience the grandeur."Maison Polanka: "A unique experience, perfectly executed"
"My reviews reveal a shameless sybarite, happily wallowing in the decadence of suites in the top hotels all over the planet; the Amans, the Four Seasons, the Six Senses, the Belmonds. Siem Reap has most of these and visitors would be served well at any one of them in their visit Angkor Wat. For something wildly different and unique, however, book the ""Khmer House"" at Maison Polanka, the best of the five available rooms. This is a lush garden, about two acres, surrounded with high walls off a bumpy, unpaved back street not too far from the main canal road and the Museum (and the Aman). Behind the electric sliding door is a beautiful, cool and shaded oasis of grass, kept wet, with high trees and flowering shrubs. It is quiet and peaceful; there is no traffic noise Khmer House is a small, simple wooden, single room building on stilts in the center of the property. The large living room is underneath the house and the equally large bedroom with a sitting veranda is above. The bedroom is air-conditioned and has fans, in addition. See the website for photos. All this at less than half the price of the chains. Dining is under an outdoor pavilion adjacent to a very nice 50 foot pool, suitable for laps and cooling off after a visit to the temples. The menu, though limited, is varied and offers excellent suggestions for any palate. We were so pleased we ate all our meals there for five days, not venturing outside. I also attended the cooking school; one student and three cooks. Lots of fun. As it turned out, a great advantage of our booking was the superb service we received with our private car with driver and guide. Our guide, ""Pich"", is a certified, uniformed guide for Angkor Wat and accompanied us on all our temple tours for two days. She arranged for the tickets and the timing for our visits to avoid crowds. (We enjoyed the sunrise over the main temple.) She is an excellent, knowledgeable guide. The driver awaited us with ice-cold towels and water when we finished each temple visit. He was also available on call and waited for us on shopping and museum visits. a very worthwhile indulgence. The staff is small but attentive and anxious to please. Upon each return to the garden, a young women awaits with a cold towel at your room. This is not ""roughing it""; it is equal luxury in a different guise. A superb alternative to the usual."The Apsara Rive Droite: "Great Location! Great Hotel"
"We had a main floor room. It was large and so was the bathroom. Both the bed and the bathtub were high so there may be a problem for persons with mobility problems. Air conditioned plus a fan. Well kept and clean. The hotel was one short block from the main street where the monks come every morning. It was a ten minute walk to the night market and easy walking distance to many wats nearby. Also close to boats for river trips, especially sunset cruises. Breakfast for westerners consisted of juice, fruit, bacon and eggs, local french inspired bread and coffee. highly recommended. We got a great deal at US70.00 per night. Was worth more than that. Room Tip: All rooms face the river and a busy street which is not noisy after 10:00 at night."
