"Went here for my honeymoon and stayed for 2 nights. Really wonderful place and one of its kind experience.. luxury and comfort with the advenutre of being right in the woods! Go here only if you love to stay away from the noise of a city. The staff was also really wonderful and took really good care of us! Thank you guys..! The only issue i had was no air condition in the tents and its very humid there so had to move to a different room which had air condition!"Mathis Retreat: "THIS IS IT!"
"No doubt you will have looked at about 20-30 hotels in Ubud on TripAdvisor and be completely exasperated by the process. Fear not! Your searching HAS COME TO AN END! This is the one! Where to begin. Located just on the outskirts of Ubud, it overlooks pristine rice fields with no other hotels in sight. From the front reception where you are greeted with a welcome drink and refreshment to the high quality rooms and the blissful infinity pool, there is little more you could ask for. Family rooms exist, and the presence of a few children around this small hotel does not distract from the relaxation. The restaurant on site is relaxing and has a high quality food menu that does not break the bank! (Very reasonable actually) The best bits - free to and from shuttle into Ubud centre every hour, tours available via booking at reception (including airport transfers) The 'could be improved' bits - very little, although the internet was a little slow... if you are dependent on this I suggest you need to rethink the meaning of holiday! ;o)"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Fantastic!"
"We had a wonderful time at the resort. Beautiful setting, gorgeous views, excellent service and delicious food every day. Best place for relaxing including great Ayurveda treatments. Highly recommendable! Hermann&Monika Neumann"Satri House: "Lovely boutique hotel, close to town but far enough away…"
Loved this little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of Luang Prabang - but close enough to get to the night market and most everything else in 5+ minutes. Lots of lovely sitting areas, nice grounds, beautiful antiques and local flavor. We stayed here 4 nights and felt like we were the only ones here for the 1st 2 days... as more travelers arrived the tranquility stayed intact because of all the lovely spaces around the property. And even though it was quite cold in the mornings and evenings they provided space heaters in the restaurant, sitting areas, and an amazing fire in the main 'family' room of the hotel. The staff was wonderful and at every turn saw to our needs - including coffee in the room before the restaurant opened. LOVED that there were not TV's in the rooms - great way to keep the kids engaged in games and reading when we weren't exploring. The rooms are large and the beds exceptionally comfortable - the mosquito netting - which may be needed in the more humid/hot months was charming. And the food in the restaurant was delicious! Stay for an evening meal or 2 - you will not be sorry. And the breakfast - while not a buffet - was absolutely delicious! Eggs to order, amazing handmade jams and chutneys, delicious croissants and toast. If Asian breakfast is more your thing than they offer this as well. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Luang Prabang - from our ride around town this still seems the best place to stay with high marks on all fronts.Villa Song Saigon: "Fantastic"
We loved our 2 night stay at Villa Song. Room was extremely spacious with balcony. A major positive was the location next to the Saigon River - great location and only a short boat trip to the city centre. The boat ride on the river was in itself very enjoyable. Had an excellent massage at the spa. Without asking, we had a room made available through to our evening flight. Can recommend dining nearby at the Deck.Manda De Laos: "Make a reservation!"
Rarely will I opt for a set menu, but here it was so worth it. So nice to try all the different offerings. Service was wonderful and wine selection was good. Romantic setting but also appropriate for friends who just want to have a nice relaxed setting.Villa Song Saigon: "Classic Oasis in Saigon"
"Villa Song Saigon provided my family with a great two days in Saigon. It is a quiet and classic getaway away from hustle and bustle of the city. The staff was incredibly welcoming and took great care of my family of five. The breakfast was delicious and the river side location enjoyable. It combines classic architecture and modern amenities. If you are looking to be in the center of District 1, this is not the place for you. However, there is nothing in District 1 that can come close the the classic Saigon experience of Villa Song Saigon. Room Tip: If you don't like climbing stairs, choose a room on the first or second floor."Tugu Bali: "As Great As They Say It Is"
"Thanks to TA reviews we spent a day here that was unforgettable. Surrounded by the din of this busy area, it is an oasis of serenity and extraordinary hospitality of the staff. Get up at dawn and hear the birds on the property. It is a museum of artifacts- you need go nowhere else on Bali. We stayed in Rejang Suite with outdoor tin tub, view of water. A long way from USA but nothing like this in North America. We were given gifts when we left that were handmade. Amazing. "The Island Lodge: "The most caring hosts"
"The island lodge is a very special place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like welcomed guests. We did the bike/boat tour with Michael through the banana plantations and seeing the locals going about their daily life, not another tourist to be seen. Every body is very friendly. And the whole lodge is beautiful. We will definitely return to the island lodge if visiting Vietnam."
