Cuca: "Dinner"

Review by: Stephen M | Source: Trip Advisor
We had dinner at Cuca our first night in Bali. We stayed at the Kayumanis Jimbaran and the restaurant was literally next to the resort so it was really convenient to get to. We both had the chefs tasting menu and a few cocktails. The presentation was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The value for the tasting menu is incredible. The rice tempura soft shell crab and the meat and potatoes were our favorite dishes. We would highly recommended!

Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful Land"

Review by: DrFWM | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel is an absolute haven. Mrauk U is an incredible destination but can leave the traveller feeling a little worn, dusty and disorientated. The Mrauk U Princess Resort provides a calm, orderly and natural space to gather your thoughts and feel gently pampered. The food is very good and given the difficulties in sourcing ingredients such as wheat and coffee, provides an almost miraculous feat of delivering crispy, fresh croissants for breakfast every morning (make sure your come after 7.20am when they come out of the oven) with excellent coffee. Local food is also good, with delicious soup noodles for breakfast, and good salads and curries at night. The rooms are large and comfortable. I had a very small accident, entirely my own fault, but the hotel staff were responsive and professional, providing very good, simple but thorough medical care. One of the more remarkable experiences was hearing the wealth of sounds through the night as the environment is very natural and not subjected to the chemical exposure that many tropical resorts use. The result is a nighttime symphony of frogs, crickets, and cicadas.

Anopura: "5 star Oasis"

Review by: CBRadio2000 | Source: Trip Advisor
"In a quiet, rural valley down a country road only an hour by car from Jaipur lies the most beautiful and rather unexpected oasis, which is Anopura. From the moment you are greeted at the front door by the perfectly groomed male staff with a small glass of fresh pineapple juice, you realise you are in a very special place where the service is discrete and perfect. The beautifully designed garden is perfectly tended and groomed with a square pool at its centre, which trickles refreshingly as you bask in the sunshine and peace on a comfy chair or bed, away from the bustle and noise of town life. The food is excellent (if a little European on our one day there) and Ishwar, the manager, is always ready to chat and answer your questions. The room was one of only two (!) at Anopura and we were the only guests, which suited us perfectly. Ishwar took us on a most enjoyable and instructive walk past the temple and through the local village, led by gorgeous Latika, the hotel's resident golden lab who kept us both amused throughout our stay with her love for life and great affection for the guests. Every detail in Anopura's design has been carefully thought out to ensure your stay feels luxurious and yet very much still a wildlife lodge. As we sat by the pool in the evening, enjoying the heat of the firepit before dinner, we were treated to a jackal repeatedly barking the other side of the hedge at the bottom of the garden, echoed by the local dogs sounding the alarm. Our only regret was that we had not booked for more than one night - a real gem of India."

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Must visit"

Review by: Travelmun | Source: Trip Advisor
"The moment you step into the place, you know you are in for a treat and then the food starts coming and it taste like heaven. All the dishes were explained nicely by the waiters and the quantity for the six course was just right. They even did a vegetarian menu for my wife and as per her, it was the best vegetarian meal she ever had. Ps: do try their cocktails."

Satri House: "Une merveille"

Review by: toclem | Source: Trip Advisor
"This hotel is a pure gem! The hotel building and rooms are extremely beautiful and very well decorated. The staff is charming and extremely professional. We've also had the opportunity to try the restaurant which serves delicious Lao dishes. In brief, everything was just perfect! We would definitely recommend Satri House."

Jings Residence: "Fabulous peaceful retreat in Pingyao"

Review by: Westedge2004 | Source: tripadvisor.com
A superb hotel - with attentive staff, very well appointed rooms and food second to none. The traditionally laid out courtyard, with room off it, provides a serene haven for recovery after a long journey (you must have travelled a long way to get to PIngyao!). The staff - led by Imam - are quietly attentive seeing to all of your needs. The room are well appointed and comfortable. If you can, eat in - the standard of food is the very highest. I wish there were more places like this!

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Blissful stay"

Review by: fourviolets | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a straight five star stay with lovely accommodation in scattered lodges around the grounds, bird watching and treks available, and a wonderful veranda to sit and look at the Himalayas (if they are clear of mist....) We had mosquito nets (not actually needed) over our beds and hot water bottles can be requested! The food and hospitality are excellent. The staff are permanently on their toes. We loved our little lodge so much we could have just sat in there all day listening to and watching the birds. A local lady came and did a Reiki massage in the room. Bliss Stayed April 2017, traveled with friends"

The Village House: "Tranquil"

Review by: DoreenAmyO | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you're looking for bright lights, loud music and alcohol till dawn forget the Village House!!!. If on the other hand you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from all the hustle and bustle this is the place. We spent 3 days here and it was amazing. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. Rooms kept spotless and food very very good. Yes its off the beaten track and the beach is different, not that good for swimming and very hot with no shade, but once back in the Village jump in the pool...problem solved!!!! Would we stay here again....most definitely. Thanks to all concerned for making out stay a good one. Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the pool."

KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "A secreat retreat"

Review by: Patmag2014 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Our couple experienced once again a too short but unforgettable week-end stay in Khwan Beach, right by the beach of Maenam Though they added 4 new villas to the 3 ones thay had only for our first visit, it was very much unbelievable to find such high quality of personal service repeated in a larger boutique hotel and such in-villa service, delightful and with exceptional decoration ( no wonder they call themselves the first Gallery resort in Thailand ) We had again all our wishes coming true as they advertised on their web site. Privacy still at its optimum in spite the 4 new villas, with a sensation of being at home with a rare view over a river, beach, ocean and the island of Koh Phangan !!! And no one to look at us in our private garden and amazing swimming pool. The whole staff is super, special thanks to Gaelle and Nittaya We will be back again soon within few months, we highly recommend this secret retreat!!! "

Inle Princess Resort: "Well-appointed hotel with a sensitivity to its environment"

Review by: menagLondon | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel manages to provide a high standard of accommodation and service in a simple, rural part of an emerging nation. Our room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable with a gorgeous lake view deck. The hotel's isolated location meant we, unusually, used the restaurant on each of our three night stay and really enjoyed the food. The service in all respects was marvellous. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The lack of tv and patchy wifi are simply not an issue - the surroundings and potential to tour the lake are what we visited for. It's a beautiful area where tourism is helping a fragile local economy. This hotel tries hard to boost that in a sensitive way.
