Mathis Retreat: "Peaceful and restful"
"I really liked this hotel, we booked under the name Kenenga boutique hotel. The staff were amazing and called us by name from the start. The manager Karin, who is French, was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and tours to do. The place was very clean. Just a short ride into the city centre, $6 dollars Australian. Very cheap. The pool was amazing and very clean. Breakfast was a delight and you could have as much as you wanted, very generous. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food at the restaurant was very good. They would book a restaurant for you and call a taxi any time you needed one. I had a very enjoyable stay here and would highly recommend it. My only criticism is that the locks on the rooms were very hard to manage, maybe they should think about getting key cards. Also the towels were very thin and need replacing. I think they could also upgrade their sun beds or put padding on them as a little too thin for my liking. But these are minor things. Over all it was a very pleasant stay."Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Exceptional!"
The team at Inle Heritage made my arrival in Myanmar so smooth and welcoming. The team patiently and wonderfully indulged me with all my cultural questions that I bombarded them with. Transfers were super easy and the tour of the lake was nicely curated. I am notoriously picky and there are two hotels that I have been mentioning in the same breath since my return; The Puli in Shanghai and Inle Heritage. Service was exceptional, very detailed and thoughtful. The icing on the cake is that the 6 bungalows and traditional Inthar restaurant are funding the cat + fish breeding, eco farming practices, and scholarships for 40 driven hospitality students each year. Like others have said this is not luxury and there are a little few missteps now and then from the students but it doesn't matter as it is all so personal, detailed and welcoming. From the moment of my booking Ms. Thant Zin Aye, the GM, was helpful and generous over email and in person when I arrived. Ms. Nang Khin May and Ms. Chaw Su Thet Htar were so sweet welcoming. Mr. Htun A Tint is a natural in this hospitality game and will go far! I have recommended this hotel to everyone and I would be there in a heartbeat on my next trip to Myanmar.Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Right next to Khmer ancient houses and historical attraction places"
I have spent few nights there with group of my friends from Australia and Phnom Penh. We've enjoyed our stay very much, real Khmer villa accommodations, great pool, great local foods and friendliness staff is another plus to make this property stand up the most popular in Battambang town. I have no hesitate to come back again with my family and highly recommended this property to all kinds of traveller.tugu bali: "Traditional old world Balinese style hotel"
"Drive through traditional villages and rice fields. Only 30 minutes from Seminyak. It is a lovely drive and sometimes people want to see the rice fields without spending a day driving to Ubud. Arrive at Tugu, lovely old world traditional hotel for a nice lunch. A couple of hours of your time well spent. Relaxing, peaceful and educational. "Mrauk U Princess Resort: "a remote gem of Myanmar"
"This little secret retreat is not easy to find... but the the cruise to access, the service at the property and the discovery around Mrauk U are exceptional. A truly unique destination. I recommend to take the cruise on Mrauk Oo Princess boat, as it is an experience in itself. The lunch on board and the views all the were surprising. The hotel has also a floating swimming pool in the middle of a lotus pond and about 20 bungalows in a vast garden. one suggestion: develop the river side, with a deck (maybe a lounge) to enjoy the river even more"villa song: "Postmodern Colonial Style Perfection"
"In district 2, Villa Song is perfectly located along the Saigon river with scenes of the rural outskirts and industrial trade by cargo ship directly before you, to give a sense of location and culture. Being slightly out of the centre of the city and right on the banks of the river, means the air there is a slightly more fresh. Villa Song is a mightily impressive building, reminiscent of a palatial colonial outpost, yet it is only a few years old. The service is exceptional and the catering is world class. The outdoor bar and dining area is truly lovely. You can only be made to feel special here and although we only stayed 2 nights, my Husband and I found this hotel to be faultless. A nice touch was the complementary mini bar, including water, juices, soya drinks and beer, and fresh tropical fruits. The fixtures and fittings are top quality too, solid and robust and classically designed...everything for your comfort. We adored our stay here."Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Amazing Experience"
This hotel gives the best experience during our April 2017 Kalaw-Inlay vacation. We ( husband and daughter ) stayed here for only 1 night and my 11 years old daughter request me to plan a 3 days stay next time :) Staff are very friendly and professional , especially on our arrival , Thant Zin welcome us with the warm and genuine smile and touring around hotel. Throughout the stay we experienced the hospitality of all. The bungalows are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. We had dinner & breakfast there, we were so content with the oven fresh breads and croissant and the quality of the food. All in all , we were so happy and surely will come back again with all family members. My love of nature is completed by the surroundings , mini organic farms, aquarium , authentic Burmese cat village, birds chipping around the hotel . Thanks for your wonderful service & experience , Hotel Heritage !Rachamankha: "EXQUISITE HOTEL"
My husband and I have travelled extensively and this hotel was just the most beautiful we've ever visited. As soon as you enter the courtyard, you can feel the calming effect of the style and decor which are so lovely. Our room was a deluxe situated on the second floor. The attention to detail in the room was stunning; a king sized four poster bed, high airy ceilings and antique Chinese clothes chest. It was immaculately clean and the toiletries provided in the lavatory were top quality products. There was a very large swimming pool with comfortable lounges and umbrellas plus it was tucked into a private spot and very quiet. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices on the menu. All in all, a five star hotel by any standard!!Dewakan: "Well paced degustation menu, creative"
My husband and I took an American guest to Dewakan. We chose the 11 course tasting menu. I was looking forwards to being delighted, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is quiet, and comfortable and we were able to enjoy each course and exchange views on the myriad of tastes exploding in our mouths. I especially loved the Yoghurt & Roselle, which I thought was so well done since each taste emerged one after another. The explanation given by the maitre d' on the ingredients and how to eat each dish added to the enjoyment of the evening. It was easy to converse, given the wonderful presentation. I did not care too much for the duck, which although delicious, was a little rich for my preference. The red snapper was very good, and a little less saltiness may have brought it up to the level of sublime. Anyway, we had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the experience tremendously!Mathis Retreat: "Mathis Retreat Ubud Bali"
