The Village House: "Hidden Gem"
"Being a local, coming here felt like an 'easy escape.' Not much travelling needed but gives every good feeling a getaway would. Room is clean, tastefully decorated. The place felt very private which is perfect for if you want to 'escape' from people and just have a me time with yourself and your partner. Food is decent but don't expect much. However, having a quiet dinner by the pool and a rustic wooden decorated place helps a lot in adding the 'taste' to the food - in a good way. There isn't really much to do there - but that's what getaway are all about - you really just want to spent time in the room, doing nothing. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Stayed May 2016, traveled as a couple"Samanea Beach Resort: "Samanea. Lovelier the Second Time"
"I fell in love with Samanea two years ago. So many improvements have been made since. The villa, service, staff, food are delightfully better. Still, the best part is the serenity Samanea offers. The view is as breathtaking as I remember it. The sunset is simply spectacular. It’s family-friendly,too. A family brought their infant with them, and another had a toddler. Seeing them added to the natural beauty of the place. It says a lot how amazing this place is. Over-all, Samanea is a must-see, must- experience destination. When you leave, you’ll find yourself promising to come back. And you will. I did."Sea Dance Resort: "romantic stay in paradise"
Sea Dance was a romantic place to stay for our 5 nights in Koh Samui. It's about a 7 minute drive from Chaweng but the property itself is tucked away from the main road and major downtown areas. We enjoyed the cooking class, the friendly staff, the free kayaking, the swing on the beach, our private pool and the main resort pool, beautiful ocean views, and live music on 2 of our 5 nights there! The staff are all very friendly and professional.Satri House: "Escape into a world of tranquility!"
"Traveling in Asia can be stressful, so I was grateful for this all too short escape from reality at The Satri House. What a treat to be greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival! The staff really make an effort to make you feel at home. I chose economize by taking the local transportation from the Luang Prabang airport rather than the hotel pickup. This proved to be the right choice, as the airport is very organized for tourists with a set price and individual drop off at your hotel. My room was very comfortable, with fresh fruit and plenty of bottled water. Although the mini fridge was'nt stocked but you can order drinks.. As others have noteted, the walk into town was easy and enjoyable, taking you past many interesting sights. I would recommend to travelers who like to explore that you take your time and wander some of the side streets along the way... There is a fantastic 'hidden' restaurant just across the street. 'Manda de Laos'. Highly recommended for that romantic get away or restful retreat. My only regret was that I only had 2 nights to enjoy this wonderful place!"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "An amazing experience"
We really enjoyed the 5-course and 6-course menu at Cuisine Wat Damnak and were thrilled to taste the Khmer cuisine with a touch of French. It was delicious - from the taste from the kitchen to the dessert we experienced different flavours, but never too strong. The price for the menu and wine was a great value... The setting beautiful and loved that the chef himself came to greet us. We will be back for sure...Tugu Lombok: "4 thumbs up (mine’s and my husband’s)"
"We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This is the best hotel we've visited so far. Surprises at every corner! Food was delicious. They event cooked a meal we requested, that was not on the menu. Try order ""ayam taliwang"" from the kitchen (not in the menu book), it was delicioouuussss! Thank you hotel tugu lombok for the memorable stay."Inle Princess Resort: "TRADITIONAL AND BEAUTIFUL"
For the more traditional stay this is the place for you. The rooms are adorned in cedar and their is an outdoor shower that is just divine. Tea and coffee making is included and they have great wi fi as long as a storm doesn't interrupt the feed :) . The staff are so courteous and will do anything to make your stay the best possible experience on the lake. The pool is large and the spa is excellent and very reasonable in price.Villa Song Saigon: "Awesome Hotel"
"Awesome hotel 20 mins from the city and right on the river, but with a free shuttle to the city. Staff where fantastic very friendly, Restaurant was awesome for Breakfast and Dinner, great pool and the room was awesome very comfortable quiet great view of the river, ask for the Villa Song Suite no 26 was perfect.. Will go back again"Inle Princess Resort: "Go on, splurge,on the lake villa!"
"Immediately, the door opened and I was speechless, the huge windows made me feel like I was floating on the lake itself...simply stunning. The complimentary mini bar was a pleasant added touch as I sat back on my private balcony to watch the sunset. The room was immaculate and spacious. The bathroom complete with outdoor shower was clean and well equipped. The resort is in a secluded corner of the lake and you really did feel like you were far away from the hustle and bustle of the jetty town. The boats themselves must switch off their engines before approaching the resort which makes for a charming introduction to the brilliant foot steering of the local boatmen. Breakfast was made to order and the food generally was of a high standard. I loved seeing the two Burmese cats making themselves at home in this little piece of paradise. Inle Lake was really one of the highlights of my trip, in fact, I could have spent a few extra days here just enjoying the lake life. Trekking on the furthest reaches of the lake would be on my to do list when I return."Maison Polanka: "Total satisfaction"
A calm oasis after a day visiting temples and museums. Helpful and responsive staff, always obliging and willing to go that extra mile. Food is always fresh and delightful. The gardens and the pool are are so beautiful and relaxing. The office staff are particularly efficient in suggesting and arranging tourist activities and guides
