Tugu Bali: "F A N T A S T I Q U E !"
MAGICAL EFFECT! the first steps in hotel and already you whisper. The atmosphere is harmonious and deeply Balinese The owner, the greatest art collector of Indonesia has furnished hotel rooms of the unique art Tugu is a trip alone. The cuisine is delicate, the prices are right, very caring staff. Every Thursday night, traditional dance (do not miss) you have 1 minute walk to the Batu Bolong beach for those learning to surf, waves in the morning and evening are perfect to do again!MATHIS RETREAT: "Great views, great staff, great stay"
"Spent 5 nights here with our two kids (aged 2.5 and 9months) and thoroughly recommend it. Spacious rooms, beautiful views overlooking the rice fields, great pool, good food. Far enough away from downtown Ubud, but close enough to get there when needed. Staff couldn't have been nicer, and were more than happy to whisk our kids away to play - allowing us to relax at the end of meals. Thoroughly recommended. "Inle Princess Resort: "A few suggestions"
"I don't need to say much more about the quality of this hotel or the beauty of its location. Go to Myanmar. Go to Inle Lake. Stay at the Inle Princess. Here, though, are a few tips for those who do follow the directives above: 1. Take advantage of the complimentary shoe shine. 2. There really isn't any charge for the beer in the mini-bar. 3. The hotel leaves earplugs in the room (presumably for those whose sleep might be disturbed by frogs and lizards). You may not need the earplugs during the night, but hold onto them, because they are very useful on the boats, which have very loud outboard motors. 4. The boat tour of the lake is essential. Make sure to include a visit to a local market. The basic boat tour lasts for one day, but it is a very long day (especially if you start with the market), so you should consider splitting the tour and doing it over two days. 5. When you visit the village of the silversmiths, avoid the large shop at the entrance to the village -- the one with the tiny workshop staffed by ""brothers"" who play with their cell phones until a tourist boat arrives and a large showroom stuffed with overpriced silver that must come from China. 6. The artisanal workshops on the village side of the hotel are definitely worth a visit. 7. Eat the Shan noodles for breakfast -- order them the evening before."Reverie Siam Pai: "Small Luxury Boutique Hotel"
The hotel is low level and sits beautifully in the lovely landscaped grounds. We had a mountain view view room which was absolutely lovely and very peaceful. The bathrooms are stunning and the shower had amazing water pressure. The beds are huge with lovely crisp linens. The location is perfect, by the river and slightly out of town. There is a free shuttle which is excellent for when you wish to go into town. The staff were truly focused on the customer, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. The eggs hollandaise for breakfast were stupendous. As veggies the staff were always happy to amend the menu and we had no problems there but a little more veggie choice would have been great. The cocktails, restaurant area, swimming pools and riverside pavilion were all fabulous. We stayed 5 nights and by the end we felt like regulars...totally at home. As a luxury treat on our two week motorbiking holiday this place was a real tonic and we would absolutely come back/stay here if ever in this area again.Reverie Siam: "My three days of heaven"
While visiting my son in Chiangmai he decided to take me to visit Pai, where we stayed in this beautiful hotel. I have been very fortunate to have travelled around many parts of the world, staying in many five star hotels, but this hotel has to be up there with the very best. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean comfortable beds, too comfortable that I didn't want to wake up! The shower was very hot and powerful, in fact ***** star. The food was excellent, so much so that we ate every meal there. The staff were first class very attentive. This is a hotel away from the buzz where you will find peace and quiet to enjoy style and comfort.Villa Mathis: "Very good value for money in a high-end boutique hotel"
Tasteful hotel displayed along 5 "villas" (sort of open-air living rooms), each of them with its own swimming pool. Around each villa, there are about 5 independent rooms, mostly with open-air bathrooms (Bali style). Beautiful gardens.Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "really a good one"
it was a really good night out, the food was fantastic and really worth to have this kind of flavour experienceNeeleshwar Hermitage: "Outstanding"
This place is nothing short of top of the class! The food, rooms, service, amenities, beach and general 'vibe' (coupled with a near-perfect January climate) made for a perfect end of trip experience. If peace and quiet is not for you then the Hermitage is not for you. It might be 'off the beaten track' but it doesn't feel isolated. Terrific staff. Hard/Impossible to fault.Cuisine Wat Damnak: "An amazing experience"
We really enjoyed the 5-course and 6-course menu at Cuisine Wat Damnak and were thrilled to taste the Khmer cuisine with a touch of French. It was delicious - from the taste from the kitchen to the dessert we experienced different flavours, but never too strong. The price for the menu and wine was a great value... The setting beautiful and loved that the chef himself came to greet us. We will be back for sure...Tugu Lombok: "A magical place with beauty in every step"
"The hotel is beautiful, with lot of different areas to explore, relax and even work. All the areas are decorated with elegance, full of art objects. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was amazing with open air area. The hotel staff is very kind, you feel pampered every minute. "
