Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "The Rocks CNY"
This is our 3rd stay at the Sea Dance , which speaks volumes. The staff at Sea Dance are so welcoming the food is sensational ( must do Sunday brunch ) Truly a wonderful place to stay even better with the addition of a Spa We plan to go back very soonLocavore: "Amazing"
One of the best, if not the best restaurant in Bali. Unbelievable taste combinations, presentation and service. We ordered the seven course tasting menu but were actually served 19 courses of snacks, palate cleansers and extras. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. We celebrated my birthday and they exceeded all expectations. Bravo Locavore!Locavore: "Lives up to its reputation"
Fine food, delicate flavours, perfect preparation, beautiful presentation, impeccable service. We had 5 courses with matched alcohol (note not wine but you could have wine if preferred). A must for those who love fine food.Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazingly relaxing holiday"
"We stayed one week at Slow Private Pool villas and had the most amazing and relaxing time; just what we needed. The staff went out of there way to help us. Slow has the most helpful and accommodating staff. The Slow Spa is wonderful. Gili Air itself is already a perfect island getaway with a tranquil vibe and Slow Villas only enhances that feeling. Fabulous holiday! We will certainly come back."Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Excellent Modern Thai"
Tucked away a little the restaurant is in a side street in the bottom floor of an apartment building. Friendly staffed showed us in and made sure we got the menu's with 3 choices, A la carte, a fixed price 4 course menu choosing from the menu or the 6 course tasting menu. We choose the 6 course menu and enjoyed the journey through some amazing Thai dishes that had some modern touches or tastes. Each course allowed you to enjoy the Thai flavours but with a twist or addition. One of the best 'Thai' meals I have eaten. So an excellent range of dishes, friendly service and a nice comfortable ambiance to wrap up an amazing meal.Satri House: "Why weren’t we warned"
"We stayed here specifically to have some R&R after a hectic week touring in Vietnam. The reviews specifically state that this is a quiet retreat full of peace and tranquility. We were aware that we were visiting at the time of New Year celebrations - indeed we thoroughly enjoyed the carnival atmosphere in the town. However we were dismayed to find that our ""quiet"" retreat at Satri House was some 100 metres from a large festival site pumping out very loud house / dance music (noise) all afternoon to at least 19.30. This continued for every day of our stay which ruined our intended relaxation before our move onto Cambodia. Our complaint to the Manager fell on deaf ears and no compensation was offered which we find unacceptable. Such a shame as the Satri House has much to commend it. Front of house reception were excellent as were the rooms and the food. However there is much room for improvement / training required for the dining staff! We would suggest anyone wanting to stay over New Year or at any other times when the site is in use think very carefully before committing to stay here."Villa Mathis: "Contents"
Excellent Hosts (Frederick and Vivi are engaging, friendly, volunteers and make it very personal stay) - Very nice hotel: modern and local - good food: French chef with original local specialties - Good atmosphere! Thank you :)Rachamankha: "Beautifully Antique hotel with friendly services"
We enjoyed the antique furnitures and room, brilliant breakfast and excellent services. The room was tidied few times a day and we got welcome drinks and no insects wander in the room. Definitely recommendedThe Cabochon Hotel: "An oasis in the middle of chaotic Bangkok"
The Cabochon was heaven. The hotel is wonderfully decorated with antique items and gorgeous little nooks and crannies that make you want to photograph everything. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, catering to anything we needed. The breakfast was scrumptious - great way to start your day touring around Bangkok. The restaurant served the best food we had during our entire stay in Thailand.David’s Kitchen: "Must try in Chiang Mai"
Davids Kitchen is located 15 mins drive from the old town, but it definitely worth a visit if you are in Chiang Mai and for special occasion. You would be amazed by the garden when you first arrive. The food is fantastic and staffs would give you great recommendation if you are not sure what to order. David was also in the restaurant and making sure every guest is enjoying the dinner. We also got a little sweet surprise at the end of the dinner. Would definitely come again.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
