Jing’s Residence: "Highly recommended"
Fantastic ambiance . Leave the hotel and you find yourself in a charming old town Personal attention of the staff High service level. They do their utmost to let you feel home. They really care. For us it was an eyeopener during our China trip.Flower Island: "Simply Amazing"
"If you are looking for a place to truly relax, that is off the beaten path, and want to be surrounded by friendly mellow guests and attentive, caring staff, then this is the place for you. Flower Island is not like the other crowded resorts in Palawan. This is truly a place where you will chill and relax. For those that can’t sit still there is snorkeling (great reef just steps from your room), kayaks, SUPs, pearl farm tour and trekking around the island to keep you occupied. Definitely worth the time and investment. I highly recommend this place!!"Villa Song: "Everything I hoped for!"
"Booked the Villa Song for our 3 night stay in HCMC. What a great choice. To be honest I found the city very over-whelming in terms of noise and people and pollution, so VS was an oasis of calm and peace. Our room was tiny, but wonderful and comfortable, and we had a little terrace overlooking the river. The breakfast was delicious every day, and we had lunch and drinks there at least once as well. Staff could not have been nicer - always smiling and helpful. We took the speedboat to the city with an awesome driver and a very nice Swiss couple. On the way back it was the awesome driver, the very nice Swiss couple and at least 6 other people. To say the boat was heavily laden and the journey was a bit nerve-racking would be a masterly understatement but we got there. :) Our last morning there was my birthday - I mentioned that to our waiter because I was ordering Mimosas for breakfast - and at the end of the meal I got a yummy little cake. I wish we had had more time to explore the area around the hotel - but maybe we will come back. The only thing that was bit of a downer was the polluted state of the river. There was always debris floating by and its dirty looking. Of course that is not the fault of the hotel, but it is worth mentioning. I still enjoyed watching it though."The Village House: "wonderful people"
"Most reviews describe the lovely setting and the tranquility of Village House but for me the people there are amazing. Ever friendly and helpful, they helped to make my trip to Sarawak the wonderful experience that it turned into! The food was amazing as well.... try the chefs Sarawak Laksa... You'll not be disappointed!! If you're looking for a base to explore the Santubong/Kuuching area, that is quiet and slightly off the beaten track but accessible to the outside world? Try Village House"Misool Eco Resort: "FABULOUS"
I can't say enough about this place or the people that run it and work there. The waters are AMAZING for snorklers. Everything about this place was perfect! It was an experience of a life time. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!Sukoon Houseboat: "Wonderful place but not now"
"This is an idealic place. Wonderful location beautiful scenery, and we were truly spoilt. Sadly you should not visit there for the foreseeable future, because of all the rioting of the local people. You can't go out, no shops open, people off the streets curfews, Internet constantly down and teeming with army and guns. The Sukoon was truly a haven in a very troubled times. Shangloo travel agency should never have brought us to Srinagar, knowing we couldn't do any of his promised tours. This was a very dangerous act."Chakrabongse: "Stay in a prince’s palace"
This was built in the 19th century by a Thai prince. It's on a busy street and right next to the river. Once you get behind the gates, it's your own private palace. Pool, garden, decks overlooking the river. I think there are only about 9 rooms. It's pricey, but worth it. Our dinner was about a 7-course meal (prix-fixe), each one a delicacy. Took off my shoes at the gate and wandered around the rooms and gardens for all three days we were there.Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "A must experience in Bangkok!"
The cruise was very intimate unlike the big party boats. Sit down dinner was awesome! One of the best tasting meals we had while in Bangkok. Would definitely recommend Suppaniga to everybody!Tugu Malang: "The best hotel in the world + Unique Indonesian Vibe"
"I have been in countless hotels of all styles. Tugu made it to the top of my preferred stays list impressing me not for a day or two, but for 20 days of the perfect treatment and incredible structure. They have a touch of kindness and detail everyday! Little fresh flowers in your room. Complimentary local fruits. Impeccable cleanliness. Gorgeous traditional decoration. Little message every night. You have a spa, with different types of treatment available. A temple, business convention center, 24 h international and local restaurant/ bar with more than 150 wines, bakery, event center, swimming pool, boutique, antiques shop, all surrounded by a collection of the finest Dutch and Indonesian artifacts. 49 rooms served by 100 happy smiley team. You will feel like a king. And they all speak good English! Go if: you like to stay in a place that you can feel like home. With kind helpful people. And different options for relaxation and meals. In a very traditional unique atmosphere. Don't go if: you are a lean freak and prefer to stay in an international chain with no personal treatment. Attention: you can ask for a tour in the hotel. For free! Visiting (and maybe staying) in the presidential suit is pure entertainment. Congratulations to all staff, but special thanks to Rachel, Richard, Ratna, Daniel, John, Aris, Wahyu, Handy and all the girls from the front desk. Never change!"The Island Lodge: "Natural elegance."
The Island Lodge is a luxury property in a natural location. The ambience is unique in the Mekong Delta. The pool, the food, the rooms, the staff, the welcome, the good-bye, the attention to detail in every regard are nothing short of spectacular. This is a 5-star resort in an otherwise humble Delta surrounding. Although the prices are considerably higher than the local competition, the value is definitely there. If you want to pamper yourself in every way, this is your destination in the Mekong Delta. Everything you need is available on the premises. We went on a boat trip to a floating market, and the Lodge provided us with one of their staff to act as our personal guide, without additional cost. Every detail is covered.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
