Perfect boutique hotel. An oasis in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Newly built in an old style but you would never guess - very comfortable and well furnished. Good swimming pool on the roof. Very nice staff.Tugu Lombok: "It was a world away in Shang Gri La"
"We are very fortunate as we ended up at the Hotel, and they had extra space so they upgraded us to the ocean front Villa. It was you own world and steps away from the beach. Everybody went out of there way to please. When we left it felt like the Love Boat with the entire staff waving goodbye. The best experience was taking the Hotel's boat to go snorkeling at Gili Islands. We went early and were ahead of everyone at the best spots. Not to mention we had the Dragon Boat! Food was excellent, and a very relaxing experience. Not to mention the free Tea Service at 4:00 pm to just relax and catch up with staff on any activities planned for the next day or even a last minute dinner on the beach with massage..."bali jiwa: "Coming home"
"This was our second stay in Bali Jiwa Villa and it already felt like coming home. The surrounding is breathtaking, the staff so very warm and welcoming and villa full of beauty. We enjoyed every minute. You can easily go to Ubud for shopping or dinner. Most of the time we had dinner in the villa, which was lovingly prepaired and utterly delicious. This is a wonderful "boutique" hotel. There are only seven suites and they are essentially one bedroom apartments with excellent views of the town and river. The service was first rate and the breakfast was wonderful. Served on their rooftop restaurant, it was delicious and allowed you to watch the little city wake up. The restaurant on the ground floor has both indoor and outdoor service and the food is very good and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again and strongly recommend it to any travelers.Reverie Siam: "Paradise personified"
"Only stayed one night as we took a last minute motorbike trip down from Chiang Mai, but it was well worth the journey! Was in Pai in 2014 and visited the bar/restaurant before the hotel had officially opened and was curious to see how it all turned out. Let's just say it lived up to the expectation. Such a special place and amazing staff to top it all off. Regret only staying for a night but so glad I had the chance to visit again and celebrate our engagement here. Just back from a amazing trip through Myanmar using Myanmar Shalom Travel and this was our last hotel stop. It's an amazing resort in an place Inle Lake. Everything was great and the added feature to this resort is it's just off the edge of the lake where no long boats can use their motors (boats need to paddle in the last 100 yards) so it's also quiet. One of the nicest places we have ever stayed.Rachamankha: "Beautiful place to stay"
"On arrival to the Rachamankha it was hard to deny the breath taking architecture and clean calm appearance of the place. After staying at a friendly, family run guest house in Bangkok I did find this hotel to be a little bit sterile and cold at first. However, over the 4 days that I spent here I really warmed to the place. The location way great, being very central to the old town. Breakfast was excellent, with a really good range. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the facilities were very good, especially the pool. The room was also spacious and beautiful. A faultless stay. """The Blue Mansion"" was built by a very wealthy Chinese businessman in the late 19th / early 20th century, Cheong Fact Tze himself. There is a wealth of information about the house on hand, including a small interpretive display and guided tours. The house was restored by heritage architects over 5 or 6 years in the 1990's when it was in danger of being torn down. The small courtyards are a great place to lounge and soak up the atmosphere. Location is good - nearby Chinatown and the waterfront. Staff were very helpful and I was regularly given a friendly greeting by Shiro at the reception desk. There is a food court next door which makes a bit of noise at night but it didn't bother me much. Stayed December 2016, traveled solo"tugu bali: "The Secret Retreat!"
"This is our 2nd stay at Tugu. We enjoyed it so much we couldn't resist another stay. Although it is a little more expensive the Tugu ""offer"" is unique. You can lie in your own private space overlooking the sea without being annoyed by hawkers and just watch the surfers, or lie by the pool in privacy. The perfect getaway. We were fortunate enough to experience the cultural evening which presented us with 3 dances - so amazing and professional - a totally memorable experience. We used the hotel driver to take us to Seminyak on a couple of occasions - he was polite, courteous and perfect in every way. Thank you Tugu - your staff our amazing...well done Jenny. The food was excellent from starter through to desserts. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. The owner (David) walked around every table talking to the guests which was a nice touch. The restaurant was very popular on the night we went so the atmosphere was great. We stayed in Chiang Mai for 4 nights and this was the best food and atmosphere by far. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
