“I’ve been in the hotel industry for over a decade and I love sharing the world of Inle Heritage Stilt Houses with guests. Here, we strive to preserve Inle’s rich cultural heritage and help the region to thrive as a place to visit, work, and live.”

We Care

Established in 2009, the Inle Heritage Foundation aims to preserve, teach and promote the culture, traditions and customs of the ethnic people who live in the Inle Lake and Southern Shan State area. The hotel hires young local people and trains them to become skilled in the hotel and tourism industry. Additionally, they are taught about responsible tourism and sustainable development.

Working in conjunction with domestic and international experts, the foundation aims to teach farmers agricultural practices, which have no or minimum negative impact on the environment. Inle Lake’s water resources are regularly monitored and laboratory tested. The organisation also aims to focus on non-profit methods that will enable community members to become financially independent.
