Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "An excellent experience, faultless"
"This was a fantastic experience, both in the camp itself and in the National Park, with excellent, knowledgeable guides. If you are a keen photographer, ample facilities are provided including bean bags for game drives and guides have a good appreciation of vehicle positioning vs the sun and game. First and foremost, the main reason that I imagine most people have arrived at this page is that they are looking for a good safari guide in Yala. You will not be disappointed. We saw a LOT of game. 5 leopards in total, a sloth bear, 2 tusked elephants (very rare in Sri Lanka) and countless other species. The guides were very enthusiastic and clearly love their work. The commentary on the typical behavior different animals we saw was informative and at times even entertaining, these are really nice people. The experience in the camp was also fantastic - the food was the best that we had on our trip to Sri Lanka, the tent that we stayed in, ""Leopard"", felt very private and to reiterate other reviewers' comments, the outdoor shower under the stars was a memorable experience. Other guests were similarly enthusiastic about wildlife which led to a calm and suitably quiet environment when we were close to game."Tugu Bali: "Art, History and Romance"
"We stayed for 2 nights and we're completely amazed by the special atmosphere of the Tugu Hotel Bali. This small museum of Indonesian art and history left us mesmerized. The lovely staff of the hotel made us feel at home and bringing hospitality to the next level. Our suite was wonderful, on the second floor with a huge Balinese style tub and great ocean view. Very rustic appearance, but with all modern conveniences and a very romantic and confy bed beautifully crafted . The natural beauty of the property gardens make it beautiful during the day and enchanting at night. We enjoyed the lush breakfast, with a wide variety of freshly made juices, that could be served anytime and anywhere we wanted. Every Thursday night the hotel has a cultural evening, with traditional dances what allowed us to know a little bit better the Balinese culture."Rachamankha: "Incredible Hotel Stay"
This hotel is absolutely beautiful and it was the best place we stayed at while in Thailand. It is centrally located to many city attractions and it is within walking distance to several spas, restaurants, etc. The hotel grounds are meticulously maintained and it has a magical feel to it while you stroll through the various buildings. The breakfast is very nicely done and there is a patio so you can enjoy your meal on the terrace. The rooms have more of antique feel with a modern twist - lots of nice amenities including a canopy bed, Molton Brown products, and good A/C. The only challenge I had during my stay in Chiang Main was that I got a lot of bug bites - please note the hotel also provides free bug spray so don't forget to use this religiously if you are prone to bug bites (I made the mistake of going without it for a couple of days). I would highly recommend this hotel to others who go to Chiang Mai...you won't be disappointed!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "history"
"If you want that historical experience then this is the place to get it. there is no luxurious Hilton Hotel room but the charm & historical feeling is all worth it. The room is enormous & the bathroom although has modern shower taps the decor is from the era long gone. service is great & the food was good as well. Breakfast was included & consisted of buffet of fruit & cereals & a la-cart hot breakfast & first time I had a hotel say to me after I had finished my breakfast ""have you had enough, would you like some more?"" The house is also a museum & has daily tours & is very interesting to learn about the history of the house. its close to a lot of attractions including the wharfs & a short distance to all the famous Panang street wall paintings & art. Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"The Cabochon Hotel: "Urban Bangkok feel — Hit it twice this so far"
"For those seeking to experience the vibe of Bangkok as a psuedo-denizen for a couple of days -- that is, to live/to sleep amid that ordinary urban street mix of local food vendors adjacent to gleaming skyscrapers, [and, with some solid benefits such as a being near a handy supermarket, the Skytrain Phrom Phong stop, a hip juice bar, and a small city park] the Cabochon offers this kind of feel in the Thai metropolis. It's not on the famed river, and it's not super luxury. Rather, it's under-the-radar subtle. Hidden down a small alley from that urban mix, the colonial-era building is a sweet spot -- surrounded by lush foliage and filled inside with Asian collectibles. Venture out into the Bangkok chaos, and return back to the chill of the Cabochon, where the genuinely warm staff will greet you with smiles -- more smiles when you order a couple of rounds of mojitos. Relaxed without anyone in your grill. Clean, more than acceptable, not over-priced. And best, it is super understated."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "My experience at 4river floating lodge"
This hotel is excellent! Staff are very friendly and the view are spectacular! I visit the hotel for 3 days and i would say it was the best 3 day of my life. Everything at 4river is excellent and good price!Le Calao: "Lovely place, delicious food"
Oh yes, and a great spot, excellent cocktails and perfect service. We’re just back from a wonderful dinner there, and very pleased. We had exclusively Lao food, and loved it. Good luck with the new endeavor.tugu lombok: "A slice of tropical paradise"
"In a 3-week adventure around Bali and Lombok, the Tugu Lombok was our absolute favourite place that we stayed, hands down. The resort is stunning, the grounds are impeccable, the rooms are extraordinarily beautiful. The beach is white sand and turquoise waters. Every meal we ate (in both restaurants) was absolutely delicious. The breakfast spread is fantastic (with a particularly amazing fruit plate) and the assortment of snorkelling equipment, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards is a great way to pass afternoons on the water. Things are laid out so that you never feel crowded. But by far the best thing about Tugu Lombok is the staff. Everyone, from Sharon, the GM, and Henry, her right hand man, to the spectacular restaurant staff, spa team, housekeeping staff, and security, were the epitome of hospitality. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and polite, and everything they do is heartfelt and done with a smile. They anticipated our every need before we even expressed them and made us feel enormously welcome during our entire stay. We can't recommend this spot enough to anyone travelling to Lombok (and even if you're not, you might want to change your plans to include the Tugu). One small note on rooms - we had read through previous TripAdvisor reviews and decided to take the overwhelmingly consistent advice to splurge on a Bhagavat Gita suite and we were completely blown away by the beauty and design of these extraordinary villas. "Tugu Lombok: "Peaceful destination"
"We spent a wonderful 10 days at Tugu Hotel. We had booked last minute and stayed in a large villa. The villa was nicely decorated and furnished. The villa had a large semi open bathroom and a 7 metre pool in a private garden. There were views across the lawn to the sea. The were 2 outdoor communal pools in the very large gardens fronting the sea. The gardens have been landscaped and there is a super collection of Indonesian artefacts including statues, temples and various other objects. The menu has both Indonesian traditional dishes and western, We ate Indonesian dishes the whole time. The cooking is first class. Breakfast is served all morning and comprises of both local dishes and healthy western options. We visited the spa on a number of occasions and left feeling very relaxed. All the staff were fantastic from the people who cleaned the villa, the gardeners, restaurant staff and management. They could never do enough to make the stay memorable. They were courteous, happy and always had a smile for you. It was a truly wonderful holiday and we look forward to returning soon."The Cabochon Hotel: "Wonderful experience"
A great hideaway just off Sukhumvit with a beautifully curated experience full of curiosities, each room filled for a quiet browse. The things you discover. A step back into a indochin residence, sit back, with a cocktail or two, turn off the phone and relax before you venture out. Great warm and welcoming service, thank you. Very easy to recommend.
