Locavore: "amazing restaurant"
"e went for a lunch 7 courses menu. food was delicious. every plate presented was a big wow and then hmmmmm! service is courteous and efficient. sometimes hard to understand the ingredients and feel waiters are just reciting the names without putting too much passion into it. but they get things done. the cocktail pairing is left a bit to be desired.. some are a bit too strong compared to the food. suggest to order wine/cocktails a la carte worth every cent and every minute of your time. if you happen to be in ubud and some budget to spare, go to locavore."KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "A great place to stay at Koh Samui"
"I and my partner spent five days at Khwan Beach Resort and our experience was nothing but fantastic. This is a small resort run by competent, kind and diligent people (Gaelle, Nittaya, Sai and Margot) who will make everything to fulfil yur wishes. Located literally at a two minute walk away from Mae Nam beach, it is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxed holidays, surrounded by nature, nice villas each with its own private swimming pool, and (walking distance) close to restaurants, convenient stores, fresh fruit markets, etc. I will definitely return to this place. Mind you however that the resort has just initiated construction works for a restaurant which may cause some inconvenience during the day. Therefore, if you are planning to stay there, contact one of the managers (Gael or Margot) for more details "Goldhen Budha: "beautifuly untouched island"
we spent 5 nights in this beautiful island. We had a great adventure including excellent meals, great snorkeling in Sourin, swimming, sun bathing, day trips in the island, kind and helpful service, meeting and fighting new creatures and more. this is a true pearl outside the "wrong path" of tourism.Cuisine Wat Damnak: "A little overrated"
The chef was lovely. The menu is limited--there are only two pre-fix menus and you must choose either or leave, I guess. Haha, It was good but maybe a little too pricey for the small portions.Talabgaon Castle: "Treated like royalty in a royal palace"
"The first thing to say about reviewing Talabgaon Castle is that in order to differentiate these 5 stars from any earlier 5 star reviews, I should probably go back to the others and knock them down to 4 stars ... its just that good. The setting, the staff, the food, the amenities, the service ... all were top notch. We (as a couple) spent two nights here in January 2016. The staff were awaiting our arrival, and cool drinks and towels provided after the couple of hours drive from Agra (it is closer to Jaipur but we were going the other direction). Our bags were taken swiftly to our opulent room on the ground floor, and soon we were eating our first meal. This being the 6th day of our first trip to India, staying generally in upper market accommodation, we have become accustomed to good Indian food - but this took it to the next level. Flavours literally bursting. (...) For our final morning, the hotel staff set our breakfast table out in the courtyard of the gardens. In a nutshell - if you're able to stop over here ... even if its a little out of the way ... then do so. You will I am sure be as surprised, impressed and amazed as we were."Inle Princess Resort: "Wonderful hotel on edge of inle lake"
Lovely hotel. Room on edge of lake with lotus flowers directly in front. Room had large bath plus outside shower. Soaps, body lotion etc all luxurious. Excellent breakfast and good choice of food for dinner including an excellent set menu. Menus are consetina type but printed on both sides! Staff very helpful and friendly. Lots of celebrations of birthdays and anniversaries with all staff coming to table to sing with a lovely chocolate cake. All trips from hotel on long tailed boat, great fun.Thank you for a wonderful few daysRachamankha: "Delicious place and delicious food"
"Rachamankha is a beautiful hotel in Chiang Mai that also happens to have a very nice restaurant. We went there to celebrate some friends who was guiding in us in Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai during our stay. We went there early in the day to book a table for the evening. 5 persons having beer, water, wine, starters, main courses, desserts and coffee. Everything served with a smile in surroundings that were just as wonderful as the food. And we all felt welcome. I would go as far as to say; the best farang Thai food in Chiang Mai. Not spicy. I'm sure they would make it spicy if you want. And the Tenderloin were just perfect. If you want to experience a special place, go to Rachamankha. It's worth every bath. Stayed February 2017, traveled with friends"Supanniga Eating Room: "I Love Everything about this cozy little place!"
"Definitely a must try for call you Thai food lovers. Ivecwalked past this place several times and it's always packed with people and always a wait until today which I guess was my lucky day, so I took advantage of it and I'm so glad I did. Everything I tried was delicious and all the dishes around me looked so good as well. I'm definitely coming back for more. This is one place that once coukd never be enough. Great customer service Creative and tasty dishes Clean and cozy"MesaStila: "Must-stay resort in Central Java"
The title says it all: if you travel in, or through, Central Java, you must stay in MesaStila. The resort is beautifully set in a historic coffee plantation in Java's highlands. Expect complete tranquility and Javanese hospitality. The villas are set along gentle slopes within the plantation and nature is never more than a few meters away. The villas have been carefully (re) built in local style and are quite spacious. The various common areas are spread across the property and make for a spacious, tranquil ambiance. Service is highly attentive and yet not intrusive. Last but not least, don't miss out on the spa!Samuay & Sons: "Great meal well worth a visit"
We were meeting friends in Nong Khai and they asked us to go to their favourite restaurant in the area. We were not disappointed and can fully understand why they enjoy it so much. It's a narrow restaurant with a sort of mezzanine that allows you to overlook the restaurant and see the food being prepared and cooked from upstairs. It does not hold too many customers. The staff were very friendly, but the food is the real star of the show. It is fresh, tasty and well presented. A real surprise was the lovely desserts. I look forward to going back again for our next visit.
