Rachamankha: "A Jewel of Tranquility"
What a lovely architectural masterpiece, making a simple but classy and tranquil base during our visit to Chiang Mai. Beatiful rooms, lovely swimming pool, fabulous event dining room and bar. The buildings and the grounds combine together to give charming and interesting views of well considered artifacts and decoration. Teak doors and furniture within plain white walls. Ceiling fans in open areas and AC in the lovely rooms. Great en-suite.Tugu Lombok: "Number One in My List of Favourite Hotels"
"Tugu Lombok is the dreamed hotel for all who imagine a paradise with silent tropical white sanded beaches, wooden villa, just a few steps from the light blue sea. The resort is designed as a boutique one, a precious collection of asian art is arranged around the restaurants, the villas and the gardens. Walking around you are touched by an amazing culture, art and sence of luxury design. Each villa has a priveate pool and a beach, tropical shower under the stars. The honeymoon villa is the ONE! Tugu Lombok is a great place to propose to your Love! Or to excape for a romantic vacation... Room Tip: Villas at the beach side are amazing!"Maison Polanka: "Ideal base in Siem Reap"
"To us, Maison Polanka is the ideal type of place to stay. With only a maximum of 10 guests in luxuriant grounds of 6000 sq m, it provides a tranquil oasis to rest after the jostle of Angor Wat. This creates an intimate atmosphere where one gets the chance to interact with both staff & other guests. The Sala next to the pool is a very pleasant place to have a quiet dinner. Both dinners we had there and also the breakfasts were excellent. We went out to the nearby Marun Restaurant (where marginalized kids are trained to work in hospitality) because we wanted to support the cause."Satri House: "Outstanding hotel"
"Everything was impeccably done, from the service to the decor to the food. The hotel itself is stunning, and every nook and cranny is perfectly curated- it must be an interior designer's dream. Everyone who worked at the hotel, from the front desk staff to the manager, were incredibly gracious and welcoming. Truly one of the most incredible places I've seen, or could even imagine seeing. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Chakrabongse Villas: "Wonderful hotel"
"We stayed one night in this hotel. This hotel is really beautiful. It is authentic and well located in the city. I would definitely recommend it. The room is huge and you have a large terrace. The breakfast is really good and can be served on the terrace as well. The staff speaks a very good English and are very helpful. This hotel would be a bit more expensive than other hotels that we did in Bangkok but it is definitely worth it. We hope to come back in Bangkok and stayed there. Thank you again for the Thailand flag :)"David’s Kitchen: "Great place"
The reason David's Kitchen is so great is because of the passion and attention to detail that has been put into the restaurant. David, his wife and their staff are lovely. No stone is left unturned. The food is really good.VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Elegant hotel on the Saigon River"
"We stayed a couple of nights at this hotel and it is really special. Right on the Saigon River and in District 2 of Ho Chin Minh. The service was really good and the location is perfect. You can catch the hotel boat shuttle directly to the main district 1 if required. The area around the hotel is quiet and we found some really nice restaurants. This hotel is number one on trip advisor for a reason. "Locavore: "AMA…wait for it…ZING"
"I have reached 50 years old and I can honestly say that this was the best meal I’ve had in my life full of travel and restaurants all over the world. I walked in on my way back from the Monkey Forest, hot and tired, just intending to grab a quick bite and drink. I’m not sure why but I was offered the tasting menu - I said yes, unaware of the price but ready for an adventure. I ordered 5 courses between the regular and vegetarian choices. To my surprise, 7 beautifully presented amuse bouche courses came first - each exciting and delicious. Then a new chef came out with each course to explain it to me. Exceptional service! And the tastes made my mouth soooo happy. To my surprise there were 2 more amuse bouche dishes before dessert arrived. After almost 2 hours, I thought it would never end and I wanted it to never end!!! The last surprise was an entire flight of chocolates and jasmine tea. All of the food was meticulously prepared and incredibly delicious. Lunch cost about $90 CND, which is the priciest lunch I’ve ever had but WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOCAVORE Make a reservation!!!"Jing’s Residence: "Feeling Welcome In Beauttiful Surroundings"
Jing's Residence in the charming old town of Pingyao is one of a kind. It has all the attributes one wishes a hotel would possess, but rarely encounters in real life. For one thing, I was struck by the extremely appealing aesthetics of the compound, with its inner courtyards, its beautiful rooms/suites with all the amenities one would desire, its upstairs library with computers, its excellent restaurant... It is, however, the atmosphere of the place, the way you feel welcome and the sense that the staff cares about your well-being that really makes Jing's Residence such a unique and pleasing experience. My only regret is that, because of our tight schedule, we could not stay a few extra days and imbibe more of this relaxing, yet invigorating atmosphere.Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Get away from it all"
We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. There were only 4 other couples staying, we had the pool to ourselves most of the time, the hotel is surrounded by lovely gardens/plants/trees with a giant lily pond in the grounds. Food was very nice but it is cambodian only, if you want western then you will have to go into battambang. Unfortunately you cannot get away from the party/religious music that goes on at night and early morning from the village (April is party/wedding season) but keeping the air con on all night helps to drown it out. Also dont worry about creatures jumping on the roof in the night - not sure what they were but you get used to it. Lovely staff. Would not say this is a place for families just couples.
