Tugu Bali: "Hidden gem in Canggu"

Review by: Shawn W | Source: Trip Advisor
Hotel Tugu is a magical place, with an amazing location and fantastic decor / atmosphere. This is the perfect place for couples looking for a few days of quiet and calm. We enjoyed a moonlit dinner at Tugu's beachfront garden and also had a fun cooking class with Daisy! Highly recommend making Tugu a part of your Bali trip!

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Quintessential plantation experience through the ages"

Review by: Andy G | Source: Trip Advisor
"Nestled in a beautiful forested valley, surrounded by tea gardens and overlooking the river Rung Dung this is and idyllic location with views of Darjeeling, Sikkim and the Himalayas. Accommodation in large suites within tea plantation managers bungalow - all wonderfully decorated and furnished in mid 20th century style and with spectacular views. Meals (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner) are all included. A rotating menu of different cuisines (including traditional Raj period meals, Bengali, Nepalese, Bhutanese and international, etc. are served. All offering multiple course, veg and non-veg options and all cooked to perfection offering exquisite tastes - some of the best food I've tasted anywhere. Plenty to do too - the tours of the tea gardens and factory (including tasting if the various teas the estate produces) taken by the manager or one of his assistants - teaches even the most experienced tea connoisseur everything they could ever wish to know about the propagation of tea, it's harvesting and transformation (different techniques) to produce white teas, first/second flush, monsoon, autumn, oolong and green teas; as well as the history of tea growing and the estate. There's also a wonderful lodge/camp on the river (about a 2 hour walk from the main bungalow); trips to Ghum, Darjeeling and Kalimpong. The entry/exit roads are rough as you drop into the valley from the main road - and it's about 2 1/2 - 3 hours transfer from the nearest airport or station - but well worth it Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Tugu Lombok: "Amazing holiday at Tugu!"

Review by: Katy B | Source: tripadvisor.com
My boyfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time at the Tugu Hotel in Lombok, it is definitely the most relaxing, rejuvenating place either of us had ever been. The setting on the beach was beautiful both day and night, the accommodation was light, airy and beautifully clean and the service was fantastic. We found the staff always smiling, friendly and helpful and we even got a free upgrade while we were there simply because they had a better room available. The food was delicious, always fresh and a good mix of traditional and western food was available.  We will absolutely be heading back to Tugu at some point (hopefully soon!), it really is an amazing place! Thank you to all the staff there who made our stay so wonderful.

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magical stay"

Review by: Mariken v | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 2 nights at Tiger Mountain but it could have been much more. Superb stay from our first pick up and welcome to our goodbye. From Pokhara it is about 40 min drive up the mountain on a typical Nepali road but then you arrive in an tranquil oasis where you will only hear the birds. Lodge is located on a mountain with sweeping views over Pokhara valley on both sides. Rooms have amazing views towards the Himalayas, perfect for sunrise watching (they will serve coffee/tea and cookies at about 5.30 in your room to accompany the sunrise) Upon our arrival, the lunch table was set on the terrace with a view to the Himalayas and we were served delicious Nepali dishes. Tea was served in the afternoon with home made snacks. Followed by happy hour at 6 and diner around 7.30. Again with delicious Nepali dishes. Had amazing jackfruit curry, some sort of stir fried ferns, spinach dish, home made chutneys, water buffalo curries. I think I would have exploded after a week at the lodge as I had to finish everything. Quality of the food is fantastic, all organic, grown in the area, fresh and everything home made. Even the herbal tea came from their own garden. In the morning there was home made yoghurt with homemade muesli, homemade jams & preserves, honey from Pokhara, homemade bread. Yummy. The lodge offers guides to take you for walks according to your liking. We did a village walk around the hotel and the next day a ridge walk where we had beautiful views over the rice terraces, villages and Himalayas. The guide took us through villages and explained about village life. Staff at the lodge is fantastic: friendly, helpful and offering great service. There is a swimming pool with again magical views, certainly in the early morning you can see the Himalayas reflected in the water. It is a shame it is so far away from Hong Kong otherwise I would be back for a relaxing long weekend. And there is only wifi in the lobby (if it is working, this is Nepal) so relaxing is really good as you can't connect to the outside world! Show less Room Tip: Room 11, a triple room, at the end of the resort with uninterrupted views. Room 10, double room, abo... Stayed: April 2017, traveled with family"

Villa Song Saigon: "Heavenly place!"

Review by: 92fmb | Source: Trip Advisor
Excellent option when visiting Saigon: you have the dynamism of one the most vibrant cities of Asia with the quietness of the hotel by the river, Villa Song. Service was excellent (recommending the Vespa Tour and some outstanding restaurants). I will come back for sure.

Tugu Lombok: "Sehnsuchtsort"

Review by: Koelschkultur11 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Wir hatten 4 wunderschöne Tage im Tugu auf Lombok in der Bagavatgita-Suite. Der direkte Zugang zum Strand ist toll und auch das nächtliche Bad im eigenen Pool. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und romantisch. Trotzdem waren unsere beiden kleinen Kinder immer überall willkommen. Ausgezeichnetes Essen. Herzlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team. Ein Highlight für die Weiterfahrt war das Übersetzen nach Gili T mit dem hauseigenen Holzboot. Stayed August 2016, traveled with family"

Tugu Malang: "Excellent service!!!"

Review by: Jens L | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Tugu hotel is a hotel, but at the same time it's also a museum. We stayed here for 2 nights and we had an amazing experience. Because of the low season we could choose our room. The staff was incredible. No question was ever too much to answer and everything was arranged with a smile. Every staff member knew our name and the small talks during breakfast and dinner gave our stay a personal touch. When you stay at the hotel you get a free tour of the hotel/museum and a good explanation of all the artifacts. For us this was a nice bonus, because it helps you understanding some of the history of Java. There are spa facilities and we've booked the 4 hour couples retreat. It was very relaxing: massage, bath with fresh rose petals, scrubbing, manicure, pedicure, washing en drying our hair, tea,... and after all that (really took 4 hours) there was a 4 course dinner, again with some personal touches (all included in the price). What can I say about the food? One word: super! There are so many things to choose from for breakfast and dinner. Local food, street food, western food, chinese food,... Last but not least is the Tea Time Experience in the afternoon. Every day between 16pm and 17pm (or 18pm) you can enjoy a nice cup of tea with fresh made Indonesian snacks. If you stay at the hotel you should certainly try it once. Kept all things in mind this hotel is one of our top 3 of all the hotels we've been in the world! I certainly hope to visit this hotel in the future during one of our next journeys. Thanks to the staff for making this a very pleasant stay. Joni & Jens (J&J)"

Rachamankha: "Absolutely perfect!"

Review by: cminchina | Source: tripadvisor.com
"This is a beautiful, wonderful oasis. Every single detail has been thought through in this serene, beautiful place. It whispers luxury, but - as a welcome change - doesn't shout it. I want to package it all up, and take it home! We lived in China for many, many years, and being here felt like coming 'home', only better. The Rachamankha has the ambience of a very old Chinese courtyard home/hotel, but with the convenience of a new one. I thought it WAS old, but learned that it was built in only 2004! The ornamentation (spectacular screen doors, statuary in every courtyard) is all old, though. And stunningly beautiful. You will also see a smattering of gorgeous Thai antiques adorning the walls and public areas. Don't miss the library. Or the pool. Or the outdoor, covered 'lobby' lounge area. The only disappointing thing about this lovely spot is that you have to leave it to explore the many attractions of Chiang Mai. But they're all close, and you've got this oasis to return to at the end of your day. Oh, and (I almost forgot to mention, because it really goes without saying) the service is wonderful -- unobtrusive, attentive, and friendly. Sigh. We're checking out this morning..... Enjoy!"

Supanniga Cruise: "An Amazing Way to See Bangkok"

Review by: Kwin T | Source: Trip Advisor
If you'd like to see Bangkok's river (Chao Praya) with a touch of class then this is the cruise for you. The Supanniga is a smaller yet more upmarket vessel. Excellent and friendly wait staff, and a delicious six course meal complimented by downtempo jazzy soundscape offers the classiest and most relaxing way to see a side of Bangkok you won't soon forget.
