The Hue House: "Delicious food and nice atmosphere"
This restaurant is only about a four minutes walk from the M Gallery Arts Hotel. The food was tasty and a little different from the Southern cuisine. We really enjoyed the experience and it was also very reasonable. Top marks to the chef and the waiting staff.muang la: "Special property is a special part of Laos"
"The resort is beautiful. Each detail has been well thought out. The staff is professional and wonderfully trained. The property is maintained well and offers ""serious"" food - all beautifully presented. My cottage/room was lovely. I enjoyed everything about the property and would highly recommend a visit. There is a great deal to do in the area and they staff have beautifully organized excursions on which you take a picnic lunch. Hair dryer, robe, safe in room, great laundry service, and great service in general - the staff are very sweet, kind, and professional. Again, each detail is beautiful and appropriate."Sandat Glamping Tents: "Loved it!"
My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves and try glamping. We absolutely loved it! We stayed in a rice hut (Barong) and it was amazing. Staff were really friendly and always happy to help. Although the location is a little far out, the shuttle service acted like a personal driver for us! The road leading to Sandat was a little bumpy, but not a big issue at all. Breakfast was great as well. The whole experience was lovely and the quiet of the surrounding rice fields really made out stay more relaxing. The only drawback would be the wifi which was a little temperamental.Reverie Siam Pai: "Best couple getaway in Pai"
This could be one of the best kept secret place in Pai. We stayed in a mountain view suite which is very spacious. The hotel is so lovely and the food at the main restaurant is so good that we were really reluctant to go anywhere. A perfect stay!Babe: "Wonderful"
"Probably our favourite restaurant during our travels in Vietnam and Laos. Beautiful setting, it is as attractive as it looks on the photos! Excellent service and fantastic food. We went for dinner and enjoyed it so much that we returned for our last lunch before embarking on our home ward journey. We had a la carte, great sausage and pork balls for starters and good chicken curry and stir fried buffalo. Also had one of the set tasting menus which was delicious. Interesting cocktails! Definitely the best in Luang Prabang. It's a little way from the centre of the town, but well worth the journey."Rachamankha: "Luxury Oasis in Middle of Chiang Mai — Superb Value"
The Rachamankha hotel is an oasis in the middle of Chiang Mai, Thailand. My wife and I stayed there for three nights as part of a southeast Asia tour. The hotel grounds are fabulous and peaceful. The break fast was outstanding and a great way to start any day. The value for the price was superb. I highly recommend this hotel.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Tranquility and service at its finest"
"I stayed at the lodge with my son and husband for three nights, and it was a highlight in our trip to Nepal. The location of the lodge is high in the mountains and away from the city. It is cooler than Pokhara City, peaceful, and the air is fresh. You will get to see magnificent views and its tranquility is simply inspiring. We stayed at cabin 7 and it was perfect for us in terms of privacy, space, and amenities. It has a balcony from where we could see the Annapurna Himalayas, beautiful sunrises, and get glimpses of birds, butterflies, and all kinds of insects (I got lulled to sleep by insect sounds in the evening). Our stay there was a relaxing pattern of glorious sunrises and sunsets (we were very lucky in this regard), nice but challenging hikes, and afternoons of reading, writing, chess and the Nepali game of “tiger and goats” (which the staff taught my son to play). We also enjoyed the pool (it is unheated but is a cool respite in the afternoon after our hikes), which has its own surreal view of Machapuchare and the Annapurna ranges. The staff members are wonderful. They are very attentive and accommodating and I really like how engaging they were with my son (who is 8 years old and very inquisitive). When my son found the library and the display it had, one of the staff kindly explained the specimens (e.g. snakes and insects) and tools (e.g. fish traps); and, I appreciate very much that the staff was quite knowledgeable (as affirmed during the hikes we had with him as our guide where he was able to tell us more about the people, places, flora and fauna, etc. in Nepal). You will definitely feel that Marcus and the staff members are doing their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. My family is vegetarian and one of the compromises we’ve long accepted when traveling pertains to food. However, the food we were served at Tiger Mountain Lodge was simply delectable! I cannot state this enough. Each dish was delicious and I went so far as to ask for a recipe from their kitchen. The juices were always fresh, the ingredients top-grade, and you know you’re not served anything from a can. Aside from the location, service and food, I also want to highlight their advocacy for responsible tourism and accountability to the community where they are (especially within the context of developing countries like Nepal). I am supportive of the various ways in which they lessen the impact they have on the environment (e.g. minimizing the use of water bottles, not using liquid shampoos, etc) and also how they are building relationships with locals and are taking part in improving people’s lives there. I would definitely recommend the Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge to family and friends."The Cabochon Hotel: "Romantic Colonial Hide-Away in the heart of Bangkok"
"Extremely jet-lagged my husband and I stepped out of our 20 hour flight from Los Angeles, and were met at the airport by the hotel's private driver. A 25 minute drive later, we were quickly checked into the lovely Cabochon. Immediately I felt better, surrounded by the cool marble, fragrant lush trees, and fascinating lobby decor of this renovated colonial mansion tucked down a small alley. We arrived rather early for check in, but they set us up with towels, exotic passion fruit cocktails and lounge chairs beside the roof-top pool and after a dip-- was immediately refreshed. Our room was simple, quiet, clean and romantic with high ceilings, and a columned balcony. Other than a few modern amenities (like powerful air conditioner, fast wifi, in room safe, and a TV we didn't use) it was like stepping into the past. The breakfast was delicious and we even had lunch there in between excursions. The proximity to the SkyTrain subway was very convenient and the fastest way to get around town, but the hotel is happy to call a taxi for you-- and give directions. As with everywhere in Thailand, the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and polite. You will be happy to tip for service. There are many extrodinary restaurants near by including ""Bo.Lam"" and ""Soul Food."" We throughly enjoyed our visit to Bangkok and it started with the Cabochon. Tip for all of South East Asia: Most people in the service industry speak english fairly well, but get a ""Directions Card"" from the hotel front desk and put it in your pocket for later-- it will have the hotel name/address written in Thai (not useless english) and is very valuable to get a taxi ride home at the end of your night out. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Reverie Siam: "Perfect Getaway"
Chose this hotel based on tripadvisor and was very pleased. It is truly a quiet, restful, peaceful place next to the Pai River and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Pai. The villa room was spacious and very quiet, with a huge bathroom and jacuzzi tub. The restaurant is the best in town--regardless of what you may see on tripadvisor! We ate all our evening meals but one on a 4-night stay and were happy with all of them. The made-to-order breakfasts were more than we could eat and very tasty. The only problem we had was with the internet on the last day which seemed to block most of the websites we use, including Fox News!Bali Jiwa Villa: "Paradise in Ubud."
Me and my wife visit Bali for the 8th time and after staying in most of the luxury hotels in Ubud that you all know I was looking for something real and special and then I found this hidden little paradise just 15 min thru rice fields and local villages away from the vibrant Ubud center. The villas are top end as it´s the service and the spot is just a magazine cover picture. Swimming in your private pool right in the rice fileds wathcing the ducks one meter away doing their job every morning. Everybody talks about sunsets near the beach but you have to watch sunset in Jiwa, wow. The food is delicious even the lunch menu is a little bit reduced but is plenty of places in Ubud. Even if it´s your first time in Bali or If you are a repeater as we are it´s a must to spend some time in Jiwa, for sure you won´t regret. It´s the perfect plae to explore Bali as base camp or just relax and do villa living for relaxing. Thanks to the staff and Barbara they made our stay in Ubud a real special one. If we go to Ubud next time for sure we will go back to our Jiwa home. Thanks and best regards.
