The Apsara Rive Droite: "A real gem!"

Review by: Anna65Sweden | Source: Trip Advisor
The Apsara rive droite is a lovely small friendly and luxurios hotel. We loved it and had a river view room with a nice terrass overlooking the river. The staff was nice and especially the assistant manager who was so helpsome and kind. We borrowed bikes during the day and took the hotels river boat in the evening. We relaxed around the pool and most of the time it was peaceful and quiet. I was surprised to ser that there were small kids since I had seen on the internet that kids under 12 were not allowed! Of course it 's hard for young kids to talk quitely and not to yell and laugh loudly so I think it would be better in such a quiet place not to let kids stay there. When you travel without your kids you don't want to be awakened by other kids and you want to have breakfast and other meals in quiet surroundings. It could be old information but there still is information on certain sites that kids are not allowed. It's a super nice place and I really recommended it!

"What a treat ! Such a beautiful ,charming boutique hotel. We stayed here for 3 nights . Everything about this hotel has attention to detail. Our room was so comfortable, could find no fault. We could walk everywhere we needed to go. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We were out for most of the days but we loved going back to our hotel. I would highly recommend to stay here . Treat yourself ."

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Un délicieux séjour"

Review by: Stephanie J | Source: Trip Advisor
Living in Asia, we found this hotel through SHANTI Bali who organized our stay on the island. Travel and perfect organization from beginning to end, which ended in Munduk. Frame, home, architecture, room, meals, walks in the rice fields. EVERYTHING is able to Sanak. THE next "wasted away ALL" that the wi-fi jumps and there is no activity around bcp. To do to relax and enjoy the sublime and soothing views, all complete with a hot stone massage very successful. We recommend Shanti Bali travel and hotel Sanak

Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Rakkojae first 3 nights, Ritz Carlton last 2 nights. Cried the last 2 nights"

Review by: TheHungryHawaiian | Source: Trip Advisor
"Out of selfishness, I wish I could keep the Rakkojae a secret and post the stay as poorly managed, noisy, and uncomfortable. Or maybe that the Rakkojae reminded me of a fake Hollywood set for a Korean drama. Or better yet, that Rakkojae is located in a completely inconvenient location with zero access to historic areas and their iconic shop-filled alleys. Selfishness loses this one. The host was too nice to ever wish anything bad for them. Take everything stated and translate each into their polar opposite. That's Rakkojae. The stay carries a physical and emotional warmth that can't be described without using the word ""home."" A super nice, quiet home with heated jade floors, and served breakfasts causing one to reflect upon why one needs energy and brain robbing sweet carbos to start the day. How about fresh rice, cured fish, panchon with amazing kimchi, rice porridge tea and a different secret dessert every day. The Location If you arrive in the evening, your cab driver will wonder if your address is correct. Once you take a final turn down a narrow alley, you'll also begin wondering if you missed a digit on your address. But it's oh, sooo right. Once you start walking to any of the sights, you'll realize how perfect the location is for walking everywhere. Moreover, it's close enough to the subway for jaunts into the city. In the main city or otherwise, the street food alleys will help you regain your faith in the idea of street food. Unique, scrumptious, and absolutely no digestive drama -- other than various self-induce triggers from over-indulging. Kids OK? I have a feeling that if you have more than one child (we had our lone 8 yr old), and/or if your kids are typically loud and excitable, you might feel self-conscious because Rakkojae and the area is very quiet. The people are too nice to reject you for this, but you will be aware of how loud you actually can be. Ahhh. Peace and quiet. It's the price we parents often pay for having our bundles of joy. In fact, in the historic residential area you'll see more ""keep quiet"" signs than you'll ever see in a dozen libraries. It's not that kids can't run amok with joy, laughter while screaming their bloody lungs with excitement, but perhaps limited ""happy drama"" on the Rakkojae premises will allow one to blend-in a bit. Frankly, our child had no interest in running and screaming amok on site. It's so beautiful and peaceful that even a kid can feel odd belting the lyrics to Moana at 11p under such peaceful conditions. She saved it later for the streets. Sorry Seoul. Our last days at the Ritz Carlton in Seoul were fine. But all of us would have traded it all to move back to Rakkojae in a heartbeat. Go. I'm Hawaiian, so I don't promise anything, but the Rakkojae is a stay that will become part of your memory of the trip vs. merely being a cool place because they have bounce rooms for kids, mini bars and lots of people you could have met at some function back home. MOAAana!"

Tugu Bali: "Our new favourite hotel in Bali"

Review by: ShazstaD | Source: Trip Advisor
If you're looking for something special, unique and authentic then Tugu is it! A truly wonderful experience all round. Our accommodation was lovely. We stayed in the Dedari Suite and we're lucky to have not just a plunge pool , but an extended view through reeds across a pond and beyond to a nearby temple. We could even get glimpses of the surf! The staff were amazing, the gardens and buildings incredible. A wonderful way to immerse yourself in Balinese history. The attention to detail is everywhere, right down to the metal elephant door knobs in the public restrooms. Trying one of Tugu's cultural banquets is highly recommended. The recently opened Ji restaurant and bar is also destined to be a winner. Good food and drinks in a very quirkily exotic bar.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A Little Piece of Heaven"

Review by: Ann L | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I just spent 3 nights at 4 Rivers Floating Lodge. I wish we could have stayed another several days. The lodge is on a warm river which is delightful for swimming. The tent rooms are spacious, each with it's own private bath, complete with double sinks. The beds are comfortable. It is very quiet and the sunsets and night skies are awesome to see. Anna, the manager/owner is a wonderfully warm person, she learned our names immediately and checked in on us often to see if we needed anything. There are a number of day trips that one can do, we did the "Lost in the Mangroves" and the "Fireflies" excursions. We thoroughly enjoyed both. The staff are very friendly and do a great job. This is "glamping" at it's best! We especially appreciated the fact that the Lodge is doing a ton to support the local community (employment, sustainable tourism, educating the youth about the importance of nature, helping to build a new school building, recycling plastics and numerous other projects). We'd go back in a heartbeat! Thank you 4 Rivers Floating Lodge for a wonderful time...

Sukoon Houseboat: "Wonderful relaxing experience"

Review by: ElisabethDelhi | Source: Trip Advisor
The Sukoon houseboat is a super luxurious and comfortable houseboat. We had a wonderful time. The staf is super, very helpful and were really taking super good care of us. The breakfast on the sundeck was an absolute highlight. This houseboat is a bit away from the overcrowded part of the lake so you can really enjoy the beatiful view on the lake at sunset and sunrise!

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Serenity in India"

Review by: JulesJREE | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were privileged to spend 5 nights in the hotel and 2 nights on the Lotus Houseboat during February. Our hotel stay was truly perfect. It is a very relaxing environment and just what was needed after a busy stay in Mumbai. We were in one of the beach facing bungalows, called Virya (strength!). It was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed, quiet and efficient air conditioning and an outdoor bathroom. The food was lovely - fresh, colourful, healthy and tasty. Experiencing real Indian food on our trip was quite a revelation, particularly compared to the version we get at home! I also enjoyed the extensive a la carte breakfasts at the beachside restaurant - much nicer than a normal hotel buffet breakfast. The free yoga sessions each morning were enjoyable, and pitched at a beginner's level, so accessible to all. We both had spa sessions every day, leaving it to the on-site doctor to choose and schedule our treatments. I loved the treatment where oil is dripped onto your forehead - it was so incredibly relaxing. The beach is deserted, and great for long walks. The sea was rough while we were there, so not suitable for swimming. The pool area is serene, and the sun beds super comfy. We found the service throughout the hotel to be exemplary. We really couldn't fault it. Just a little thing to be aware of - the hotel does not serve spirits, and there is only a limited selection of wine and beer available with dinner - so do stock up on duty free before you arrive if this is an issue for you. If I were to rate our 2 night stay on the Lotus Houseboat, I would probably give it 4 stars. Overall, it was a unique experience and we are glad that we did it. The service was again, very good, though a little more formal than at the hotel. We had an on board chef, who prepared the most delicious food. Our cabin was spacious and luxurious. Having seen a handful of other houseboats drift past, I would say that the Lotus is one of the nicest on this stretch of the backwaters. Unfortunately, however, we were unlucky during our stay because there was an issue with the generator. As a result at night it was either like a sauna in our cabin, or very noisy. In addition, there were constant loud explosions nearby (from the nearby naval base?) throughout the first night. It proved absolutely impossible to sleep, and not at all the romantic, serene experience it could have been. The write up you are given in advance about the trips onto land should be taken with a pinch of salt. For example you don't visit an ancient sacred snake temple in the middle of a monkey forest - you are no longer allowed near to the temple. The reality is that you wander through some scrub land to the side of the road to feed some monkeys with vegetables. Not a big deal really, but just a case of over promising and under delivering in some areas. In hindsight we would have preferred instead to have spent more time relaxing on the top deck of the boat. If you do decide to overnight on the Lotus, it's probably best to book the boat on an exclusive basis, as we did. Sharing the limited space aboard with a couple of strangers could be a little awkward! Overall we really had a fantastic time, and would love to return one day. It's a perfect spot for some R & R."

tugu lombok: "Paradise!"

Review by: Alice C | Source: tripadvisor.com
We stayed here for 6 nights in December and had the best time of our lives. This place is amazing! The hotel and it's grounds are so beautiful. We stayed in one of the Amempang rooms and it was so luxurious and absolutely huge. I've never been anywhere like this before- it's absolute paradise. The staff are exceptional and all so happy, friendly, welcoming and eager to go the extra mile for you. My boyfriend proposed to me while we were here, and because he'd let them know what he was planning they set us up a private dinner in one of the beds on the beach and had it all decorated for us. When we went back to our room they had decorated that for us too! They had made animal arrangements out of the towels, lit candles in the bathroom and filled up the bath with water and flowers. They made our whole stay so special I can't thank them enough. We are coming back for our honeymoon!
