Mathis Retreat: "Love this place!"
Visited for the 2nd time. And still love this place! Really small boutique feeling with all you want in holiday. Nice rooms, nice breakfast, nice staff, nice pool and perfect rice paddy view! Definitely would recommend to my friends.Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A cracking place. True hidden gem"
"No point in rebooting all of the positives from previous reviews. Hard to fault this place. The food is simply superb. The staff are friendly and thoughtful. The pool is beautiful with wonderful ocean views. Rooms clean and comfortable. If you like swimming in the sea, this is not the place for you. If swimming in the sea is not your thing, then you must come here. A great team will welcome you with open arms. Location is a little off the beaten track, but it is very possible that you won't want to leave. Thanks to Poi, Faith and Helen and the team for looking after us and our two little girls for the week. It will live in the memory for sure and we will be recommending to friends for sure."Hotel Tugu Bali: "A slice of Balinese paradise"
Bali is quickly being taken up by new large resorts and modern villas, they of course have their place and their charms. If however you are looking for a true slice of Balinese paradise look no further than Tugu in Canguu. An amazing stay in a truly beautiful hotel, authentic Balinese architecture, furniture, decorations and landscaping. Their breakfast menu was superb, we could not get through it all in the four days we were there. Their cocktail menu was fantastic and lounging by their pool was bliss. The location in the middle of up and coming Canguu area is excellent located for stopping off at some of the more quieter beaches and should you wish a more chilled beach club to have fun in, The Lawn is only a few minutes’ walk away. The staff, led by Ari and Jenny were some of the most genuine, friendly and attentive I have ever experienced. My family and I were so impressed. I couldn’t recommend this hotel any more - believe all the other five-star reviews before this one and trust the many others that will follow.Jing’s Residence: "an excellent experience"
I highly recommend Jing's residence. Situated in the heart of the old town, it has kept the atmosphere of times past.Service is very good and the chinese breakfasts are for a european, an experience to be tried for your delightMaison Polanka: "A wonderful, elegant upscale boutique retreat property."
"We stayed at Maison Polanka in the Khmer House for eight nights in December, 2016 and all of the previous reviews of this accommodation were spot on- it is a beautiful oasis in Siem Reap! Maison Polanka is located just behind Wat Polanka, in a quiet back street not far from the centre of town (about a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride). The accommodation is within a lovely garden setting within a secure walled compound. It is comprised of five guest rooms, a nice open-air dining area a small massage hut and very welcoming swimming pool. The Khmer House is separate from the other rooms, has a large bedroom and living area, a large balcony with chairs, a spacious bathroom and a large open sitting area below the house- it is well worth the extra expense if you want to enjoy the luxury of a private space. Breakfasts were good, with a choice of Continental or American, including fresh fruit juice, cut fruit and bread basket. We ate several meals in the restaurant ( both lunch and dinner). The food was well presented, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff of Maison Polanka were professional yet charming and went out of their way to assist us in every way. Francis, Cathy and their support staff ensured every detail of our stay was perfect- from organising our tours of Angkor Wat and surrounding temples to making reservations at restaurants and the circus and reconfirming flights. Additionally, every time we returned from a morning or afternoon out, a member of staff was there to greet us with a warm smile and a cool refreshing towel. The extra touch of providing guests with a local mobile phone is also a great idea- the Maison a Polanka numbers are keyed into the phone ( so you can call if you need any assistance) and you can also use it to make local calls (to book restaurants or call a tuk tuk). We had a great time with one tuk yuk driver that the hotel uses ( Mr Lay) who speaks very good English, was very helpful and very keen on explaining almost anything about Cambodian life! All in all we had a wonderful time at Maison Polanka and I can highly recommend it as a special place to stay in Siem Reap. Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"Mudanwan Villa: "Will want to go"
Where a family can get together but also memorable childhood fishing fun is the most important can not go after it may have been drinking also can eat hot springs drawback is that the road has been too far away after the first bitter Gan certainPindaya Farm House: "Fantastic"
It was our last day in Myanmar just before flying to Yangoon and back home. It was exactly the place we were looking for after visiting and staying at different hotels around Myanmar. The location and the big hut are magical, look and feel as if inside a legend. The warm hospitality and the great food made us feel at home. unfortunately we stayed there 1 night only. Could stay there for a week.Sukoon Houseboat: "Perfect luxurious houseboat, great service, food and location"
We booked the suite at the back of the boat which was very quiet. Babu the waiter was fantastic. The food was really great, had the best momos (even in Nepal/Tibet they are soggy and poor quality). The little motor boat to take us to and from the shore was perfect. Definitely take a little Shikara for an hour's boat ride. Take time to relax and enjoy the houseboat though. Good book and some Kashmiri tea, perfect.tugu lombok: "A slice of tropical paradise"
"In a 3-week adventure around Bali and Lombok, the Tugu Lombok was our absolute favourite place that we stayed, hands down. The resort is stunning, the grounds are impeccable, the rooms are extraordinarily beautiful. The beach is white sand and turquoise waters. Every meal we ate (in both restaurants) was absolutely delicious. The breakfast spread is fantastic (with a particularly amazing fruit plate) and the assortment of snorkelling equipment, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards is a great way to pass afternoons on the water. Things are laid out so that you never feel crowded. But by far the best thing about Tugu Lombok is the staff. Everyone, from Sharon, the GM, and Henry, her right hand man, to the spectacular restaurant staff, spa team, housekeeping staff, and security, were the epitome of hospitality. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and polite, and everything they do is heartfelt and done with a smile. They anticipated our every need before we even expressed them and made us feel enormously welcome during our entire stay. We can't recommend this spot enough to anyone travelling to Lombok (and even if you're not, you might want to change your plans to include the Tugu). One small note on rooms - we had read through previous TripAdvisor reviews and decided to take the overwhelmingly consistent advice to splurge on a Bhagavat Gita suite and we were completely blown away by the beauty and design of these extraordinary villas. "Amata Lanna: "Perfect"
We stayed here 3 nights in January & it was lovely in every way. The staff were so helpful, the rooms lovely and the bed very comfy. It's close to the road and there is some noise from that in the morning, but it's otherwise very peaceful. Breakfast was good. No complaints, except the endless rain, but I can remember blame the hotel for the weather.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
