Nimmu House: "Wonderfull stay and rest in Nimmu House"

Review by: poppynho | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We had a peaceful, relaxing and perfect experience in Nimmu House. Welcoming staff (Alice is lovely, take care of everything), stunning old house which is still being renovated, tents are all comfort. Perfect place to rest and near not so far from Leh, and from there you can visit western Ladakh monasteries and go for trekking. Food is awesome (the chef works in a French owned restaurant in winter as far as I remember). Best nights we had in two weeks in Ladakh, without any hesitation!"

Mathis Retreat: "Peaceful and restful"

Review by: MalitaMelbourne | Source: Trip Advisor
"I really liked this hotel, we booked under the name Kenenga boutique hotel. The staff were amazing and called us by name from the start. The manager Karin, who is French, was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and tours to do. The place was very clean. Just a short ride into the city centre, $6 dollars Australian. Very cheap. The pool was amazing and very clean. Breakfast was a delight and you could have as much as you wanted, very generous. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food at the restaurant was very good. They would book a restaurant for you and call a taxi any time you needed one. I had a very enjoyable stay here and would highly recommend it. My only criticism is that the locks on the rooms were very hard to manage, maybe they should think about getting key cards. Also the towels were very thin and need replacing. I think they could also upgrade their sun beds or put padding on them as a little too thin for my liking. But these are minor things. Over all it was a very pleasant stay."

Maisons Wat Kor: "Lovely Small Hotel set in Lush Tropical Garden"

Review by: The_Grove1 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Hotel Wat Maisons is made up of three Khmer style houses with 12 bedrooms, set in grounds of lush tropical vegetation. The rooms are lovely and old-fashioned with dark wood furniture and feel very comfortable. The swimming pool is a good size and due to the small size of the hotel we had it to ourselves most of the time. There are comfortable sunbeds to lie on and admire the banana and frangipani trees. The restaurant has wifi but otherwise fits with the traditional colonial style. Dinner is a set menu each night, although the kitchen will serve western style dishes for those who do not want Khmer style cooking. The set menu we had consisted of five courses, was absolutely delicious and we felt it good value for $12 per head. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The hotel has a laid back style and, in keeping with this, breakfast is a leisurely affair - make sure you allow plenty of time before you are due to leave. All in all, this was a special place to stay and we really enjoyed our two nights here."

Satri House: "Perfect in every way"

Review by: mcmc1953 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Spent 4 days here exploring the lovely city of Luang Prabang. After a hectic 2 weeks in Vietnam this was a welcome oasis. From the moment you enter the property you feel a world away from the noise outside. Close by there is a temple so you can hear the soft chanting off and on throughout the day. The staff are attentive and helpful, the pool is lovely and the breakfast was excellent and the rooms gorgeous and comfortable. A 10 minute walk to the night market and chaos of downtown. We were lucky to be there for the beautiful full moon and end of lent celebration. What a sensory treat. We highly recommend!!"

tugu lombok: "Paradiso"

Review by: nikriot | Source: tripadvisor.com
This place stunned me. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. The staff was great and very helpful. Every single thing I ate at the resort was a total culinary pleasure. Breakfast on the beach, candlelit dinner on the rooftop, fresh juice by the pool. We went in the down season and it meant that we felt basically alone. Our room and private pool were so enchanting and the recovered and traditional artwork all over the resort really makes this place something special. Probably one of my favourite places I've ever stayed if you just want to escape. There is also a number of interesting things to do around the resort like visiting the Gili Islands or the volcano. A++

satrin house: "Beautiful hotel, Great service"

Review by: M H | Source: tripadvison.com
"We've stayed in a suite room for 4 nights here, and this was the main reason for our happy trip in Luangprabang. Everything is great here, great room, great service, great breakfast. It's a good place to chill and let time stop. The only minor draw back is the hotel quite far to walk from walking street (2-3km) even though hotel has a free bicycle for guests to use. I've tried once and found that cars in Luangprabang driving rather hectic (ps. I'm not a good cycling person either). The better choice is to take tuk tuk which was cost 20,000 KIP (sometimes driver called for 30,000 KIP) for one way. "

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A Step Back In Time"

Review by: Daniel L | Source: Trip Advisor
Recently visited Cheong Fatt Tze's Blue Mansion in Georgetown. All in all I was glad I went as I learned a lot about the original owner. The tour guide was a fascinating raconteur. I could tell she had told this story a few times in the 18 years she had worked there. The quality of the restoration is absolutely amazing.

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Exquisite!"

Review by: Kovit S | Source: Trip Advisor
"I was very impressed! And usually I’m not by most things fusion. But here you have some very regular Thai dishes that have been modified with a flair! Different, special, and high quality ingredients are incorporated, expect unusual and beautiful presentations yet many of the flavours are so true Thai originals, especially like the curries, here served as sauce/gravy. These flavours are distinctly Thai and have not been altered, and I find I difficult to get these typical flavours in most other Thai restaurants nowadays! We were a group of five so did get to try a large selection from the menu. Almost everything left me wanting more!! Location is a bit hard to find, tucked in little lane off Narathiwat Road also accessible from Silom. I would go again, and would recommend highly, especially for those looking for Thai food with a creative touch! "
