The Island Lodge: "Perfect Place for relaxing holidays"

Review by: sissou01 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and everything was perfect. The rooms are beautiful with a nice view on the Mekong river. The breakfast is just delicious. The pool is perfect if you want to relax with the view on the Mekong river. The staff is really friendly and the owners will make everything for you to just feel like being at home. We did some excursions with the hotel and it was also very nice. They have bicycles with child seat, which is perfect. We will definitely come back. Sylvia"

MesaStila: "Amazing Place !"

Review by: Muhamadian R | Source: Trip Advisor
"I was hesitant as the location is rather far from our base of stay in Yogya but saw the review and decided to try it. I was so glad I did, it’s such as unique and amazing place. Nestled in the middle if coffee plantation and surrounded by 8 mountains. In the morning we walked around the surrounding villages and feel so peaceful, the people are extraordinarily friendly and we feel at home. It’s not cheap at all but the stay was well worth it, I wished I stayed more than 1 night. Will return and stay longer God willing. Uploaded pictures that will say more words than I could write."

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Must-visit restaurant in Siem Reap for affordable price"

Review by: xiefaliang | Source: Trip Advisor
First of all the location: this restaurant is in a dark and isolated village in Siem Reap, and it might be difficult even for taxis to reach it. Recommend keeping a map with you (or google maps) in order to find it more or less easily or help the taxi driver to do it. Went there right after Christmas and only had to wait a few minutes to get a seat (no booking, but it's better to have one). The restaurant has two floors, so you can dine downstairs indoor or at their al fresco terrace. They offer a tasting menu of 5 or 6 courses for 24 or 28 USD that changes every 10 days, the food is amazing! Their style is French-Cambodian, and the chef will come visit you at your table at the end of the meal to offer a plate of fresh fruit after the dessert. Must note that the restaurant is open only from Tuesday to Saturday, so it will be a pity to go there when it's closed (also because it's a reeeeeally dark street haha). Enjoy!

Inle Princess Resort: "Wish we could have stayed longer"

Review by: freckles99 | Source: Trip Advisor
The leg rowers skillfully guide your long boat into the dock and you are then transported to serene peaceful surroundings. We were welcomed by the local Burmese cats in the lobby. Magnificent creatures and very friendly. Our mountain view room was everything you could want, right down to the free mini bar. The property is gorgeous, the meals in the restaurant are delicious. Unique breakfast additions on the complimentary buffet. We sat on the decking gazing over the water and watched the sunset which was beautiful. Our next day we indulged in massages by two skillful young ladies which were heaven. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone. The only regret we had was not being able to stay a couple more days to really relax and enjoy it.

Satri House: "One of the best"

Review by: 2fromaus | Source: Trip Advisor
We really loved this hotel and definitely one of the best we've ever visited. From the staff, to the rooms, to the gardens, to the food, to the amenities... They were really polished in every aspect. We can easily imagine spending a relaxing month pottering about the town and surrounds of Luang Prabang and staying at Satri House. There is a lap pool and a main pool which is a very calm and cool place to enjoy a book and a snack or a beer. The room was a suite (4.2.1) which was beautifully appointed and very spacious overlooking the main pool. There was plenty of storage, a sitting area, a large bathroom, desk, etc and good wifi. We wondered if it might be a throwback to 1920s Indochine.

Rachamankha: "A most enjoyable stay."

Review by: Graham M | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I spent four nights here recently with my wife, son and his girlfriend. We had two deluxe rooms next to each other, but not adjoining. The hotel and it's staff were superb with a ""special mention"" for Paul Walker, the General Manager who could not have been more helpful and charming. The atmosphere is calm and serene, as is the Chinese inspired architecture, and is totally conducive to relaxation which, in our case, is exactly what was needed. The location is in the old city, but a short Tuk Tuk ride from the Night Bazaar and Worouot market. I would not hesitate the Rachamankha to anyone considering it."

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "take me back to the 4rivers where the everything is green and the staff is pretty…awesome"

Review by: Alex V | Source: Trip Advisor
"Never would I ever have expected to find a 5* service in such a remote place. It is so remote that after you step on the boat in Tatai village, you won`t set foot on land for days. And that is mostly because the resort is 100% floating. Which makes it even more awesome. The staff there is simply amazing. The kind of service you would get in a top quality hotel in Europe. They will attend carefully to your every need. Even though you won`t need much being there. You are surrounded by a clean river and the river is surrounded by untouched jungle. Maybe one of the last virgin forests in Cambodia and the whole world. You can take a kayak and discover for yourself, or take the guided tours to the waterfall or to the mangrove forest. You can read books, swim in your own huge river kind of pool and enjoy the delicious food carefully prepared by the Filipino chef. Oh, and one more thing. Maybe the most important one. If you are into protecting the environment and having an eco holiday, this is the place for you. The management there is going over their head to keep almost everything clean. And by that I mean not polluting. The garbage bags are biodegradable, most of the buildings are made from recycled materials or using a clean technology, they strive to use mostly solar power, and even the toiletries that they provide are specially made not to disrupt the balance of the surrounding ecosystems. To sum it up, it`s a gem, one of a kind. It`s a floating heaven."

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A royal and magical experience at the blue mansion"

Review by: colouringmymap | Source: Trip Advisor
"Cheong Fatt Tze mansion was on top of my to do list when I was doing my Georgetown itinerary. And I thought why not stay there. I agree it's a bit pricey. But if you want to get the real feel of the jewel of Kedah i.e. our beloved Georgetown, you should stay for one night and you will definitely not regret it. I stayed in a room called Chang Yu. It was my fairy tale come true day. I won't say that the room and amenities are very fancy and royal but the feeling one get is amazing. You get a free tour of the mansion as a plus."

Tugu Bali: "Authentic Bali"

Review by: astridfashion | Source: Trip Advisor
"This hidden juwel is decorated with the most beautiful antiques from Ancient Indonesia, lots of lush greens and an extremely helpfull staff, and the best in room dining experience - really amazing - order the nasi campur, and you will be happy. I stayed in a small villa with a private pool and was happy."

Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Hidden Gem"

Review by: CareyPearson | Source: tripadvisor.com
"My husband and I stayed at the Cabochon Hotel over the Easter Weekend in April 2015. We found the hotel through The Secret Retreats website, and this being our first trip to Bangkok and Thailand, we decided to try something a little different from the standard Hyatt and Four Seasons of the world. Our experience with Cabachon started before we even left home. I had a couple of questions in terms of transport from the airport and booking at a restaurant we had been told was a must. I emailed the hotel asking for advice, and had a response within a few hours, not just with advice, but a restaurant booking confirmed at an exclusive restaurant over the Easter weekend on the date/time we had wanted - WOW! (...) The location of the hotel is great, located close to the sky train and shopping area's, easy to catch taxi's and massage parlours and great restaurants within walking distance. It's definitely our hotel of choice for Bangkok, and we'll most certainly be back."
