Stayed at hotel for 2 nights, the place is fantastic and unique, rice field right at the backyard, relaxing and refreshing. When we finished roaming around ubud, we always stoped by terracota restaurant at the hotel to get some desserts. And waht desserts! Must try the profiteroles. "We had a three-night stay at the camp and we couldn't recommend it more. We saw elephants, crocodiles, mongoose, wild boar, jungle cats and, most importantly, leopards! Saj is an absolutely brilliant guide, who has fantastic knowledge about all of Sri Lanka's animals and birds, and knew exactly where to go to find the leopards. We saw a huge male being charged by a water buffalo and a female relaxing in a tree. All the staff are great and the food is fantastic – my husband was in curry heaven! "At the end of a long, bumpy ride from Bagdogra you arrive at a beautiful tea plantation set on a hill with day and night views in all directions. Will, Faye and the rest of the staff could not be more accommodating. From a wakeup tea or coffee in your room to three wonderful meals a day it is a special place. The staff will take you on a tour of the tea plantation and villages, hiking to the river, tours to Darjeeling - you name it. You are met at the airport and returned after your stay. We stayed three nights which was minimal to take it all in. Guides tell us that after the monsoon season the place is green and the mountains in full view. "Manda De Laos: "Delicious"
"The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is delicious! The restaurant is developed around a natural steam with luxurious flora, palms and a lot of different varieties of trees that create an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere and is decorated with fine taste. The kitchen is Laotian with French/westerns influence. We have ordered le pate' Laotian, crunchy rice salad and banana flower salad as appetizers. Tanguy duck tamarind sauce, steamed chicken hormok style and buffalo steak as mains and choix banana as dessert. Every dish was delicious and I recommend all of them. The combination of many different flavors was fine and the result amazing. The portions were generous and the presentation impressive and studied in every small detail. One of the most beautiful places on this planet. no cars, no streets ... no stress . Great for yoga. The Resort is not easy to reach but it`s worth the effort. The food at the clubhouse is delicious. I am coming for the fourth time now.
