"This is beautiful place - the staff are friendly and speak good English- very quiet, food was great - $10 each for a 3 course lunch. Pork spring rolls and mango salad. $12 for dinner although we were away from the hotel for dinner the menu looked nice. Rooms are clean and well appointed. $85 for one night. A peaceful quiet place. Ideal for a couple. Drinks not cheap by Cambodian standards ( 2.50 for a beer) but it is so quiet and beautiful that it worth the visit. "That is really really nice place in term of pure natural views and fresh foods with low costs. The people there are so friendly and helpful. I went there so many times, including my honeymoon trip, whenever i want to kill work stress and stay in pure nature and enjoy local fresh foods. The chef there is also great. He can cook so many delicious foods and sweets especially ice-cream, my favorite sweet, with hygiene and fresh. Not only day time that i can go on many excursion places, but also at night time i can go to see amazing fire flies with romantic kayak for couple. whoooooh.... so many more! more than i can say! "We loved the Island Lodge. The resort is beautiful and serene, particularly after experiencing the bustle of HCMC. Our room was spacious with a generous balcony overlooking the pool and the river beyond. Great pool with plenty of loungers, shaded and unshaded. Attentive and efficient staff. The owner made a point to personally welcome us and was on hand to say good-bye. We highly recommend the spa- the herbal massage was possibly the best we'd ever had. We enjoyed our meals in the restaurant and thought the prices were reasonable. The only negative aspect of our stay is that it wasn't long enough. This was by far one of the best meals we ate in Thailand! The cocktails were exceptional, and the food was delicious! This is the perfect place to relax and unwind from the busy city life. Surrounded by beautiful views of the mountains and the forests and ricefields and plantation. The public areas are very well appointed, having taken pains to fill the clubhouse and the bar/lounge with vintage, period pieces. The staff is always helpful and polite. Excellent service by everyone. We even had a private tour of the coffee plantation where we were introduced to the flora and fauna of the place, the organic garden, the coffee area and once more given traditional snacks and more coffee and jamu. One can spend an entire day just lounging by the infinity pool by the jungle. Or playing billiards in the lounge. Or walking around the extensive estate. The spa/hamman facilities and menu are also top-notch. I can't say enough good things about the place. It is a very, very gracious place full of hospitality, warmth and the beauty of nature.
