The food is stunning. the decor very modern. And, yes, as per other reviews, the tuna tartar is superb. We will be going back for seconds!

Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Perfect for a Bangkok break"

Review by: Ran13 | Source: tripadvisor.com
Perfect stay from beginning to end. Staff were incredibly friendly and always looking to assist. Great location, just off sukhumvit road and 5 mins from the Skytrain, yet feels wonderfully tranquil and cut off from the hustle and bustle. Have already recommended to friends visiting in the near future, and will most certainly be returning ourselves.

Chakrabongse Villas: "A real oasis – beautiful and worth every cent :)"

Review by: BendigoRobin | Source: Trip Advisor
"Chakrabongse Villas is a really luxurious boutique hotel. We were guests here for 3 nights in April, and we wanted for nothing. We were offered a welcome cocktail when we arrived late in the evening, and our villa was traditional Thai style, and it was well appointed, clean and cool. We had a lovely private balcony overlooking the garden, with fresh flowers, pool towels, daybeds and shade aplenty. Having large villas, lovely gardens and only a handful of villas, we hardly ever saw another guest! We enjoyed the pool and the activity on the river, which we were on the banks of. Grounds are very private, with locked gates. Staff are unobtrusive but efficient, and the clamour, heat and bustle of Bangkok stops at the gates, and you enter a true oasis of calm and luxury. The riverside restaurant is also lovely and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast there each morning, with exquisite service, lovely food, and tourism advice as required. We took their longtail boat tour through the canals one afternoon, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was reasonably priced, too. One night we ate at the restaurant for dinner, and really, we were treated like royalty. A treat for the soul, and lovely, simple set menu, deliciously prepared. It was my husband's birthday one day, and they gave him a lovely gift. Add all of this together, and you have an exemplary service provider. Expensive but as i say, well worth it. Congratulations Chakrabongse crew, keep up the good work! Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"

Le Passe-Temps: "Little French Paradise"

Review by: Kenjical | Source: Trip Advisor
"During out stay in a close lodging we came here regularly for family lunch and dining by the beach in this little paradise. Very nice food clearly ahead of anything around with variety. Green curry - my benchmark - is very well cooked. Delicious Paneng and TKK. Warm and friendly service. Kids friendly - can spend hours chasing hermit crabs next to you without bothering. Beach and horizon view at high tide is the cliche you are looking for, quietly sipping your chilled Chardonnay while waiting for your starter of fresh spring rolls, feet in the sand and sound of waves in the ears. Also spent Xmas Dinner. Nice buffet in family spirit in a welcoming atmosphere. For those who: - look for a nice lunch/dinner in Krabi far from the crowd. - have a sense of elite and exclusivity without superfluous sophistication. - are not afraid of being surrounded by (quiet and not too vocal) French. - don't mind a slight communautarian skew - are OK to pay more to get more. Still overall very reasonable."

Misool Eco Resort: "🌴☀️🐟 Рай на земле 🌴☀️🐟"

Review by: 2707792015 | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "THE highlight of our trip and one of the most unique experiences we have had to date"

Review by: esquire84 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We recently spent a night at Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris, and the entire experience left us awestruck and amazed. To place things in context, this is an actual campsite that is located next to a national park full of leopards, elephants, crocodiles, deer, wild boar and other forms of wildlife. If you're looking for a sanitised, 5-star luxury resort with all the modern conveniences that accompany such indulgences, this is not for you. If you have a sense of adventure and wish to be close to nature, however, you will find that Noel Rodrigo's has everything you will ever need. Our host and wildlife guide for our stay was Pradeeth. He is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife in the park. He was also responsible for ensuring that our stay was comfortable and that all our needs were being met. From the moment we set foot in the camp until we left, we were made to feel like royalty. Pradeeth was supported by a team of discreet but attentive staff. We didn't manage to catch their names or speak very much to them, but this team of employees are the ones responsible for ensuring that everything in the camp runs like clockwork, and a big shout out goes to them. We were also introduced to Sajith who, much to his chagrin, has been promoted to management and no longer takes drives into the park as often as he used to. He did manage to sneak a drive in with us in the afternoon, thankfully. Sajith and Pradeeth are extremely knowledgeable about the park and it was awesome having them by our side during the drives, pointing out things we would otherwise miss. From the distinct call of a distressed deer sensing the presence of a leopard (those calls gave us an indication of where to head towards) to the paw tracks left by a passing porcupine, they made the park come alive to us, and made us attentive to even the smallest of things. Despite being a campsite, and sleeping in actual tents (think: glamping), Noel Rodrigo's had everything we needed. The accommodation was comfortable and the tents came fully equipped with safe deposit boxes, cupboards, flushing toilets and hot showers (on demand)! There is no air-conditioning, but all rooms are equipped with fans, and it does get cool in the evenings. Besides the wildlife and game drives (more on that later), the other highlight of the stay was the food. We were treated to scrumptious spreads every single meal. Beer, wine and gin & tonics were also readily available at NO extra cost. Everything was covered and there were no hidden costs. We dined al fresco every meal - literally out in the open, under the spreading canopy of a huge tree. Dinner was served under the stars, and the dining area was lit by hurricane lamps and candles. It was really special. The game drives were awesome. It could be because we were there during the off-season, but we mostly felt that we had the entire park to ourselves. We were fortunate enough to see 2 leopards during our first, afternoon drive. Pradeeth insisted that we woke up at 4:45am for our second, morning drive so that we could be the first to enter the park. This sacrifice paid off as we spotted another leopard that morning, and it was no further than 10 metres from us! Besides leopards, we also spotted elephants, deer, wild boars, peacocks, jungle fowl, mongoose (mongeese?), hares, kingfishers, crocodiles, hornbills, storks.... I could go on and on. The other thing that set Noel Rodrigo's apart was its emphasis on eco-tourism. We had the honour of being the first two visitors to take part in their new tree planting campaign (ask them about it). We were invited to plant a tree at the camp at the end of our visit in order to reduce our carbon footprint. It was a special gesture, and made us feel that we had invested a part of ourselves at the camp. We promised to return to see our wood apple tree. It also shows how the folks at Noel Rodrigo's genuinely care about the environment and nature. For this reason alone, you should consider Noel Rodrigo's over all the other safari options at Yala. We will be back soon. And until then, we sincerely hope that Noel Rodrigo's continues the good work it is doing over in Yala."

Misool Eco Resort: "Most incredible scuba diving"

Review by: Nigel H | Source: Trip Advisor
"Where to start!!! Misool is truly unique! You arrive on a fast launch, to a wonderful tropical island, you are greeted on the jetty by all the waving friend staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The island is set up wonderfully for scuba divers, fully equipped dive centre with nitrox that is free to qualified divers, you can hire equipment or take your own. A dedicated area is available for you to work on your camera equipment. You could do 4 dives a day if you wish too. Dive sites are accessed by fast boats, many sites are only 15 minutes away or less. All dive sites are wonderful! The corals are in pristine condition from down deep right to the surface. The fish life in variety and quantity is truly amazing! The Maldives 35 years ago was fantastic, Misool today even beats that NOW!!!! Why? The team at Misool and their wonderful Rangers and their Charity have a huge No Take zone and this is paramount in protecting the area. You can stay in a very comfortable water bungalow, near the dive centre and restaurant or you can stay in a very secluded bungalows on the south beach. These are accessed by steep steps up and down over the hill. A boat taxi is available at certain tide states. Meals are extremely healthy using lots of local ingredients. I found that for me the strong Indonesian influence was not always to my taste. It is hard to fault Misool! I consider a stay there is A TRIP of a LIFE TIME !!! May Misool go from strength to strength!!!! Stayed February 2017, traveled solo"

Reverie Siam: "Best hotel in Pai – great design. Superb breakfast"

Review by: VillaYar | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is by far the best hotel in Pai. Beautifully designed with quirky touches. The restaurant is voted the best in Pai - but isn't actually very good. However, the breakfast is sublime and staff incredible. The main swimming pool is lovely and relaxing, the 'riverside bar' is a waste of time so just head straight out and explore the unique Pai - it's what you are here for afterall? We had room / bungalow 8 which was gorgeous but a little dark, I would have liked to see another, brighter room. That said, really comfy bed and the bathroom with Jacuzzi is fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel!"
