Misool Eco Resort: "Paradise Found"

Review by: CTtraveler06877 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"After learning of Misool almost four years ago, we had a dream come true when we visited in June 2015. Misool is one of the few places on earth where the natural world has largely been untouched by man and is now being protected from any further degradation. It is as close as any of us can come to paradise above and below water. It is worth every minute of the long journey to reach it. This resort is primarily focused on diving because of the unmatched marine diversity in the Raja Ampat islands. But there is excellent snorkeling on the house reef (which is very accessible and teaming with fish) as well as at sites very close by. We were very fortunate to have Bram as our dive master on all dives. He listened carefully and did an excellent job on finding the pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, crabs, giant clams and a wide variety of fish we hoped to see. He was always patient and always very helpful. We were very fortunate to have dived with only the two of us on every dive. In addition, we had to opportunities to snorkel with Herry, Ferry and Daddy in the house reef and other reefs nearby with our non-diver family member and other guests. Each was an excellent guide always attuned to our requests. Among the many positives to this resort is the quality of the Dive Center staff which helped our stay exceed our expectations for our dives and snorkeling excursions. (...) We are very honored to have visited Misool and will always carry great memories of the location and the staff. We hope that we can return to Misool again. It is paradise and is the most peaceful place that we have ever visited."

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Fabulous Stay"

Review by: travellerpete2015 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Visually stunning. Romantic / Family getaway Such an original and beautifully furnished resort clubhouse, set in a parkland of native trees with stunning individual luxury houses. Ours consisted of two traditional stilt houses with interconnecting balconies. Two vast unspoiled beaches. We love the walk along the beach and enjoy beach cleaning - every little bit helps! The resort also has once a week beach cleaning day. We saw plenty of hornbills. Beware of the monkeys. They can be quite entertaining but shut all your doors and windows when you leave the house. Every Saturday, a seafood grill buffet starts off with cocktails on the beach, where you get to meet more of your neighbors which is very nice and the atmosphere is great too. Valeria and her staff pay close attention to detail, which makes for an unforgettable experience. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"

Rachamankha: "Truly Fantastic Hotel"

Review by: KiwiPete1 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"This was our second stay at this wonderful boutique hotel in Chiang Mai. This time we stayed for seven nights and our intention was to rest and relax in this haven in the the old part of the city. The location is fantastic. It is only a quick 15 minute drive from the airport and it is situated down a quiet side street that is an easy walk to shops, bars and restaurants and also to the night walking market. Its location means that is is quiet. If you have an interest or appreciation for great architecture then you will really love the way that this hotel has been designed. The bedrooms are large, beautifully furnished and have very comfortable beds. The lobby and outdoors areas are stunning. The pool area is wonderful. The pool is large and very clean.(..) The Rachamankha has a beautiful dining room and it is here that they serve an a la carte breakfast which is top notch. We also had a number of evening meals here and they were great too. This hotel is stunning. Great facilities, beautiful environment, fantastic location - all topped off by outstanding service which is very attentive without being intrusive. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough"

Inle Princess Resort: "Wow! A magical place to stay"

Review by: heidi g | Source: Trip Advisor
"This amazing lakeside hotel was my favourite hotel during our trip to Burma. The tranquil arrival by boat set the scene for a wonderful couple of nights stay. Hibiscus flowers decorated the bed and the towels in the bathroom. I loved the outdoor shower and nice to have the loungers to relax on to watch the sun set over the lake. The restaurant had a nice selection of Asian and European dishes and the wine list featured some local wines that were from a vineyard only a few miles away. A magical place to stay "

Reverie Siam Pai: "A distinguished retreat amongst the charm of Pai"

Review by: Adam P | Source: Trip Advisor
"An excellently laid out design and interior, which evokes an aristocratic air of elegance. A few friends and I came here mid afternoon after a little sightseeing and were treated with great care and attention by the staff. After feasting over a few shared Chef and Mediterranean Vegetable boards, we all left in the highest of spirits."

Villa Song: "What a wonderful gem of a hotel"

Review by: jeg269 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I stayed in this lovely hotel for three nights and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Let’s start with the property, the Villa is so beautiful and charming. The furnishings are well appointed and the size of the room itself is comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was especially relaxing with everything you would need. The room comes with a complimentary mini-bar that is re-stocked daily and the bed was so comfortable. The grounds are inviting with a super large lap pool and a small but very adequate gym. Start your day with breakfast sitting next to the Saigon River and finish with a cocktail while relaxing next to the river. The staff is superb and very knowledgeable, the manager definitely is of top quality and explains why the staff is the same. They assisted me with booking a tour of the Mekong and I was very satisfied. I will definitely stay at this property on a future visit. If planning a trip to Saigon, definitely stay at the Villa Song as you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you eat as many meals as possible as the it is a gastronomical delight that will leave your palate dancing for days."

Arumdalu Private Resort: "A great escape, yet conserving nature as well!"

Review by: Dio S | Source: Trip Advisor
A large sized room designed with combination of modern-indonesian style. Environment is nice and well preserved. Air temperature is suprisingly quite cool, unlike the other beaches in common. Oh, Don't forget the food, the chef has an ultimate way to satisfy your gastronomic needs! Recommended place to stay.

Inle Princess Resort: "A few suggestions"

Review by: Timothy C | Source: Trip Advisor
"I don't need to say much more about the quality of this hotel or the beauty of its location. Go to Myanmar. Go to Inle Lake. Stay at the Inle Princess. Here, though, are a few tips for those who do follow the directives above: 1. Take advantage of the complimentary shoe shine. 2. There really isn't any charge for the beer in the mini-bar. 3. The hotel leaves earplugs in the room (presumably for those whose sleep might be disturbed by frogs and lizards). You may not need the earplugs during the night, but hold onto them, because they are very useful on the boats, which have very loud outboard motors. 4. The boat tour of the lake is essential. Make sure to include a visit to a local market. The basic boat tour lasts for one day, but it is a very long day (especially if you start with the market), so you should consider splitting the tour and doing it over two days. 5. When you visit the village of the silversmiths, avoid the large shop at the entrance to the village -- the one with the tiny workshop staffed by ""brothers"" who play with their cell phones until a tourist boat arrives and a large showroom stuffed with overpriced silver that must come from China. 6. The artisanal workshops on the village side of the hotel are definitely worth a visit. 7. Eat the Shan noodles for breakfast -- order them the evening before."
