Blackitch Artisan Kitchen: "Amazing, friendly, creative"

Review by: kbold | Source: Trip Advisor
If you really like great food cooked by passionate and friendly people, this is the restaurant you’re looking for. The food is first and foremost delicious. But it’s everything else that really makes this place shine. They focus on local ingredients, used with a modern sensibility in dishes that are still recognizably Thai. (Even having eaten around Thailand there was plenty we were unfamiliar with.) Each fantastic course comes with a chat with the chef - as brief or extensive as you want. These are people who want to share their love for their food with you. Honestly, as foodies, this is the meal we’d been looking for since we arrived.

Reverie Siam: "Best hotel in Pai – great design. Superb breakfast"

Review by: VillaYar | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is by far the best hotel in Pai. Beautifully designed with quirky touches. The restaurant is voted the best in Pai - but isn't actually very good. However, the breakfast is sublime and staff incredible. The main swimming pool is lovely and relaxing, the 'riverside bar' is a waste of time so just head straight out and explore the unique Pai - it's what you are here for afterall? We had room / bungalow 8 which was gorgeous but a little dark, I would have liked to see another, brighter room. That said, really comfy bed and the bathroom with Jacuzzi is fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel!"

Satri House: "A very special place"

Review by: Tim R | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed here for 3 nights ( A group of 4 in 2 luxury rooms ) The staff were.delightful and could not do enough for us. The rooms were large, spacious, spotless and very comfortable. During 17 nights in Asia, this was definitely our favourite property and we would not hesitate to recommend it to fellow travellers. Room Tip: Choose 2nd floor as noise travels on wood floors"

Tugu Lombok: "Beautiful, relaxing resort"

Review by: Jim R | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I spent three days in an oceanfront villa at the beginning of our vacation here. Hotel Tugu is a beautiful, beachside hotel in north Lombok. It is off the main room and a bit distant from the nearest town or village, so it is a bit isolated. But this is not a problem- the hotel grounds are huge, and stuffed with balinese and Indonesian art. Indeed, it is a truly beautiful hotel, one of the most beautiful I've stayed in, and the beach is absolutely perfect- a huge expanse of sand great for swimming and snorkeling. There are a two restaurants and bars serving a variety of Indonesian and western dishes. The food is excellent, though the drinks are a bit overpriced and weak (but still very tasty!). The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, though I would say that at time I thought they were a bit over the top- there can be too much service. We also had a bit of difficulty booking activities- sometimes it was hard to get someone in the main office who could help us. The rooms, like the property, were beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and clean. I would say that parts of them could have been more functional- the lighting was pretty dim, the bathroom tub didn't work very well, and other small things. But these are minor issues- we really enjoyed our stay. Overall, Hotel Tugu is an excellent hotel and well worth a visit for a more Indonesian experience than offered by other local hotels. If you are looking for the efficiency of a European-standard luxury resort, I might try one of the other nearby resorts, but then you will miss staying in a beautiful and unique property."

Nimmu House: "Wonderfull stay and rest in Nimmu House"

Review by: poppynho | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We had a peaceful, relaxing and perfect experience in Nimmu House. Welcoming staff (Alice is lovely, take care of everything), stunning old house which is still being renovated, tents are all comfort. Perfect place to rest and near not so far from Leh, and from there you can visit western Ladakh monasteries and go for trekking. Food is awesome (the chef works in a French owned restaurant in winter as far as I remember). Best nights we had in two weeks in Ladakh, without any hesitation!"

Talabgaon Castle: "Lovely secluded heritage hotel"

Review by: Jagoda_Buczak-Singh | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stayed for a night at the Talabgaon Castle with my husband. It was intended to be a night stop-over to break our road trip from Ranthambore to Delhi. But, to our surprise, it turned out to be so much more than comfortable beds and clean sheets. Although a little ways off the main highway (a few miles on a narrow village road), it was certainly worth the detour. A beautifully and functionally restored Rajasthani heritage property, the Talabgaon castle has comfortable and well appointed rooms and bathrooms. Large gardens with intimate seating areas (and, the main garden/lawn has a resident emu.....along with a few peacocks passing through), a nice swimming pool with ample sunbeds and a seating area, and a restaurant, offering both indoor and al fresco courtyard dining. Dinner was good with plenty of variety on the menu. The only two letdowns were the very limited choice and and taste of breakfast, and the TV (it was a small box TV with no channels). But, given the location and alternative ways to spend our time, we did not really miss the TV too much. And, are happy to give this property a 5 star rating and a recommendation of ""do visit""."

Le Calao: "One of the better restaurants in town"

Review by: Tor O | Source: Trip Advisor
Visited twice, good food, excellent service, smiling and smart staff. Have tables on several floors and terraces, indoor and outdoor. Situated in an old newly renovated house, well done. Highly recommend.

Reverie Siam: "Pure indulgence"

Review by: andyshez | Source: tripadvisor.com
"My wife and I absolutely lover our stay here. I would go as far to stay it is the nicest hotel/resort we have ever stayed in. We chose the villa with your own private hot tub looking out over the gardens - highly recommended! The pool areas are gorgeous and peaceful. The food is all top class... Highlights for me were the coconut waffles for lunch and the meat tapas board for a late lunch. Also live music every night was a nice touch when enjoying dinner and wine. We hired a motorbike but the hotel have a free shuttle to take you in and out of Pai. Thanks to all the staff for welcoming us, we had a great time :) "

David’s Kitchen: "Faultless"

Review by: Cthonus | Source: Trip Advisor
"If someone had said before we left the UK that we'd be actively seeking a European restaurant in a country reknowned for having an amazing local cuisine I'd probably have laughed at them. The joke would have been on us if we'd missed this place... I'm not one bit surprised this establishment ranks so highly: the food was superb, the service first rate and I can only count on one hand the number of other restaurants where the owner actually comes out to see if everything is up to standard. My only regret is feeling a bit under the weather otherwise I'd have gone straight to the tasting menu. I have a feeling no matter what you choose from the menu it's not going to disappoint. In short I can't commend this place highly enough. If it wasn't 9000km away we'd be back in a shot."
