Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Another world"

Review by: Stuart J | Source: Trip Advisor
Incredible concept to support the local economy. Wonderful and gracious service in one of the best settings on the lake. Food was plentiful and tasty. One hour boat ride from the jetty but fairly central to attractions on the lake.

Inle Princess Resort: "Nice place to relax"

Review by: GYmusicLover | Source: Trip Advisor
" It was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. We left Yangon (it was boiling hot at 39 C), travelled on the very efficient KBZ Air, a rugged car journey through townships and finally a 30 minutes speedboat ride to get here. We felt relaxed the minute we got off the little speed boat. The place was surprisingly ""cool"" in early April because of the altitude and the heat in the afternoon was quite acceptable. There is nothing to do here but to relax. Leave your work behind, bring a good book and sun tan lotion (and mosquito spray) and enjoy. Unfortunately the wifi works so you are still connected to the outside world."

Villa Song Saigon: "The best hotel I have stayed at"

Review by: Sarah K | Source: Trip Advisor
"I know that sounds like a big wrap but this was a seriously good experience. The hotel is a refurbished mansion (or facsimile of), it's right on the river and has all the charm of old Saigon. The staff are delightful. We were welcomed with a fresh watermelon juice and a smile. We stayed for four nights and had a river view room on the top floor. There are no lifts so if you are not good with stairs make sure you request a lower floor. The room was well appointed to a luxury standard with wide wooden floor boards, a king sized bed and a spacious bathroom. The mini-bar is complementary and there is free wifi. I really appreciated both these features. The pool is about 25 metres and surrounded by comfortable loungers. There is a small gym (but I found it a bit hot for working out). Breakfast everyday is also included and there is a wide selection of European and Vietnamese options to choose from. The staff always greeted you warmly and were very helpful. Villa Song is in District 2 and some way out of the main tourism precinct (District 1) however they provide a free ferry service which takes about 20 minutes several times a day to and from the city centre. It is a terrific way to enjoy the city and means you get to sleep at night! District 1 is so busy all the time it is nice to get away from it and chill near the pool or in the bar. We tried the restaurant for dinner as well and it has a pleasant fusian menu to choose from. There is a spa downstairs which has the usual array of treatments. We had the aromatherapy massage which was very good and set us up nicely for the week. You can book any of the popular tours and they will charge it to your room making organisation a breeze. We were very happy with our choice of hotel. You really do feel at home away from home and that is mostly because of the charming service. We would definitely stay here again."

Maison Polanka: "Awesome stay"

Review by: Laurawoodusa | Source: Trip Advisor
Staff there made our day when we stayed with them. Maison Polanka is a lovely wonderful hotel which we used to encounter in Asia and Europe. Breakfast is great, swimming pool is so charming and inviting us to relax there most of the day.

JL Studio: "Memorable experience"

Review by: Prevlin | Source: Trip Advisor
"We went to JL Studio to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. The booking process took a while because the phone number is used by the restaurant below and there was some kind of miscommunication, however, all was sorted out. Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff, sat down and offered drinks. I'm quite a talker and it was great that the staff were so friendly and easy to talk to. Our waiter explained to us about the meal that we would soon try. The thing that he made very clear to us is that the progression of meals would be like a journey, that was definitely the perfect way to explain it. Over the 8 or 9 courses, the meal progression was perfectly set up, the flavors were well defined and everything was delicious. When the signature dish came out, the vision was explained to us by Chef Jimmy himself. He stayed a few minutes and spoke to us which was a very nice gesture. I told him that one of my favorite Singaporean dishes was chill crab. He told me that upon my next visit, I'd just need to mention it to him and he would prepare it for me, again, the feeling of importance that he gave me was a nice touch. I'll definitely be going back, hopefully for my own birthday this November."

Reverie Siam: "Excellent Hotel"

Review by: CartonKaraoglanoglu | Source: Trip Advisor
Nice hotel in a good location just outside the town and near to the river. The rooms are well appointed with lovely bathroom with roll top baths. Very clean and very nice comfortable bed. The surprise for me was the menu which is Mediterranean was a good selection to choose from.

MesaStila: "Serendipity"

Review by: SmgDave | Source: tripadvisor.com
As soon as you enter you leave the hectic world behind. Beautiful, tranquil, restful; we've never been anywhere quite like this. Would recommend the plantation tour, afternoon tea and playing croquet on the lawns. All-in-all a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

Sea Dance Resort: "Perfect"

Review by: William M | Source: Trip Advisor
I was wondering how to describe Sea Dance ,possibly if you can imagine the comfortable feeling of your home crossed with a five star hotel that is as near as I can get. The accommodation is exactly as described and photographed the staff are excellent Faith Helen and Poh are always mentioned and are great but every one of them are smiling and helpful, I wish I had space to give them all a name check. What ever you needed was arranged without fuss. The food was mouth watering , drinks the same including the complementary 'gin and tonic' ice lolly !!!! The beach is rocky but the pool is fab. I could go on but just to say from airport pick up to airport drop off Sea Dance was unbeatable.
