The food was great, but what set the meal apart was the service. David and his wife have trained the staff exceptionally well, and David stops by each table to say hello and check in on everything. What else? People, location, food and giant cosy room + pool are amazing. Everything is within walking distance and you are right in front of the beach, great for sunbathing, swimming and surfing. The Japanese restaurant Ji along with the hotel is absolutely delicious. We stayed three nights in Flower Island in March 2015. We really enjoyed, the staff was very friendly and committed to make your stay like a being in paradise. The snorkeling experience was amazing, best we had in Palawan! Just few meters from our room, with all equipments available for free at the hotel! Nice breakfast with fresh mango every day! Great food with creative and exciting dishes sophisticatedly presented. Perfect if you are fed up with 100% authentic Cambobian food and want to spice it up a bit. Not the best value for money in our opinion but an excellent dining experience.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Perfect!"
"I travellec with a small group of people to Glenburn in October 2015. The location is magical. Yes, it's worth the bumpy ride getting there. Rooms are exquisite. Morning tea in the room was heavenly! All the meals were very good, the Bengali dinner was exceptional. Meals were served at different beautiful locations around the estate, one dinner was under the star lit sky... The staff are exceptionsl - very attentive, very obliging, And we were treated to the majestic beauty of Kanchenjunga on the last day of our stay. The icing on the cake! Can't wait to get back. "Probably our favourite restaurant during our travels in Vietnam and Laos. Beautiful setting, it is as attractive as it looks on the photos! Excellent service and fantastic food. We went for dinner and enjoyed it so much that we returned for our last lunch before embarking on our home ward journey. We had a la carte, great sausage and pork balls for starters and good chicken curry and stir fried buffalo. Also had one of the set tasting menus which was delicious. Interesting cocktails! The greeting at the front door at the beginning of the tour was terrific. The best guide I have ever experienced. The mansion was amazing with its the history the architecture and the family who lived there were well explained by our excellent guide. Looked a wonderful place to stay.. photography allowed
