Maison Polanka: "Natural luxury"
I recently stayed at Maison Polanka, it was such a welcome change and surprise to what I am used to staying; This Resort really is your home away from home; the staff welcome you like family, the intimacy of this place really has such a warm charm that makes you feel immediately at home; The team headed by General Manager Cathy, were exceptional, they were so attentive, friendly and could do enough to make our stay most memorable; I stayed in the Green room, which had an amazing balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and the perfect retreat to relax, read a book with a gin & Tonic. They made all the arrangements for a private guide to Angkor Wat, where we went for the Sunrise, what a Magical experience, followed by a picnic on the river bank; this truly was one of the most remarkable experiences I have ever had. If you are looking for a relaxing, cosy place to stay I highly recommend Maison Polanka.Tugu Malang: "Awesome boutique hotel experience!"
It's almost like enough cannot be said about this place! It's one of those perfectly restored properties that exudes the charm of a distant past while maintaining luxurious travel experiences that match up to the best in the industry. Awesomely comfortable rooms beautifully decorated with colonial era antiques, amazing old-fashioned service, great food, stunning ambiance, and a great location to boot. Worth the price.Tugu Lombok: "Peaceful destination"
"We spent a wonderful 10 days at Tugu Hotel. We had booked last minute and stayed in a large villa. The villa was nicely decorated and furnished. The villa had a large semi open bathroom and a 7 metre pool in a private garden. There were views across the lawn to the sea. The were 2 outdoor communal pools in the very large gardens fronting the sea. The gardens have been landscaped and there is a super collection of Indonesian artefacts including statues, temples and various other objects. The menu has both Indonesian traditional dishes and western, We ate Indonesian dishes the whole time. The cooking is first class. Breakfast is served all morning and comprises of both local dishes and healthy western options. We visited the spa on a number of occasions and left feeling very relaxed. All the staff were fantastic from the people who cleaned the villa, the gardeners, restaurant staff and management. They could never do enough to make the stay memorable. They were courteous, happy and always had a smile for you. It was a truly wonderful holiday and we look forward to returning soon."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "The Hidden Gem on the River of Tatai Waterfall"
"I rarely reviewed any hotels unless it's an outstanding hotel, but my stay at 4 Rivers last week was unforgettable, such a beautiful resort set on the river Tatai along the Cardamom Mountain, the tents is just a beautiful set up while every is so attentive start from the moment we arrived the check in lounge on mainland, everyone make sure that we are really comfortable during the stay Let mentioned about the responsible of the staff, I went for dinner but when I arrived back at the tent, my bed was made up, they sprayed the mosquito spray also burnt the scent About the resort itself, it like living close to the nature, wake up next to the mountain but inside your own luxury tent I would pay a visit again one time soon to the resort, very highly recommend"RACHAMANKHA: "This place is so blessed and amazing…and more"
"The #1 TripAdvisor hotel at the time of our visit, this was the most unique of our 8 hotels in all of SE Asia. The Chinese influence in the architecture makes this place stupendous! The room! The pool! The common areas! The restaurant! The driveway! The service! I could go on and on... This place is so glorious and fabulous...one day, we would love to go back!"Sukoon Houseboat: "Wonderful relaxing experience"
The Sukoon houseboat is a super luxurious and comfortable houseboat. We had a wonderful time. The staf is super, very helpful and were really taking super good care of us. The breakfast on the sundeck was an absolute highlight. This houseboat is a bit away from the overcrowded part of the lake so you can really enjoy the beatiful view on the lake at sunset and sunrise!Heritage Suites Hotel: "Perfect Place to Spend the Rest of My Life… If only I could."
My sister and I shared a bungalow suite and felt very much like queens. She's used to 5-star service, but I'm still a little awe-struck. The room was large with a sitting room, private outside area, and a large king sized bed, with a sturdy mattress and high quality bedding. The service was wonderful. While all of the staff were friendly and helpful, stand-outs for our stay were Sim and Sippa. They were both very attentive to our needs, and suggested things when we asked questions, and Sippa was able to find several options when we told her we wanted to see an Apsara dance. Breakfast is included and is delicious. The coffee was wonderful, the fruit ripe and tasty and the mini croissants and pain-au-chocolats crafted the French way. We ate at the restaurant for dinner once, and we all loved the food. I'm a vegetarian and the chef made sure I could eat eggs and added one to my rice and veggie dish. Tip- get the passion fruit sorbet. To Die For. The pool was lovely and we had drinks two afternoons in a row sitting by the pool. We also got massages while there- they are excellent for relaxing massages but if you're going in for some kind of sports, technical, injury related massage, my advice is to wait for your regular masseuse and enjoy their relaxing massages, which are very good. We had a wonderful time and hope to return one day. The return flight about killed me, but this place is worth another visit.
Sonst alles top!Cuca: "Amazing culinary experience"
For me this is like michelin restaurant. The chef is smart to combine the material. The food taste is amazing, the presentation is rising your appetite and also the plate/bowl is nice. Perfect place to have kind a michelin food at affordable priceTugu Bali: "Hotel Tugu 11/17"
"What can I say about Hotel Tugu other than it’s the most enchanting friendly and amazing hotel we stayed at while on Bali. From the minute you enter driveway you will be welcomed with a friendly greeting and the first of many incredible historic relics from the island. From the minute we walked in my wife and I felt like family and were always taken well care of…upon leaving we were provided a fruit basket and a gift for staying at the hotel…we stayed at much more costly and higher rated villas during our stay but did not receive any kind of sendoff like we had at Tugu… PROS – You will not stay in another hotel like this in Bali – trust me – we stayed at much higher end hotels and did not have near the experience we had while at Tugu. Free Balinese dance show every Thursday night where dinner is served – can’t miss this if you have the chance. The beach (although a 100 meter walk from the hotel) is filled with plenty of friendly locals and surfers from around the world. If you ever wanted to surf, this is a great place to learn with the easy rolling waves. Finally the town surrounding the hotel is a lot of fun and gives you a chance to get out of the hotel and mingle. CONS – Bed is not very frim – I am used to a really firm mattress so I might just be complaining for no reason – also there is no gym which is quite common in Bali hotels… Honestly there was nothing wrong with this hotel and I promise if you give it a shot, you will not be disappointed. FYI the price for pickup from the airport (246,000) is better than any driver will give you upon arrival…It’s a 45-60 minute ride from Denpasar…"
