Jings-residence: "Perfect in every way"
Jing's Residence was a perfect experience: a rare combination of a hotel that reaches both the high standards of any world class hotel, combined with the charm, intimacy, and uniqueness of a small operation. It is exactly what a boutique hotel should be. Imam and his staff cared for our every need. The hotel was beautiful and historic, yet modern and comfortable. I cannot recommend Jing's Residence enough.Maduzi Hotel: "Truly a gem"
"Stayed at Maduzi for 5d4n. It was a Breeze to locate from Asok BTS. Take the airport express and stop at the station that links to Sukhumvit station. Since Sukhumvit and Asok are interchange stations, u just need to walk towards Asok and orientate from there. It's a 5 mins walk. Bear in mind that the entrance is along Ratchadaprisek Rd, main rd right at the start of Soi 16. If u look from Asok station, locate Clover hotel and walk in that direction. The minute we entered, we were greeted by a very sexy lobby, like an A&F boutique. Check in was a Breeze and we were brought to our room. The lift was equally sexy but some may find it too dark cos of the mood lighting. Our room was on Level A, with M being the topmost. The floors are numbered M A D U Z I and lobby. As we entered our room, we were greeted by a pantry with our own coffee machine and a free minibar (light snacks, drinks). The FREE minibar is topped up daily and I loved it. Coconut juice to end each day was godsend. The pantry door slides open to reveal a HUMONGOUS room. I could roll over 3.5 times and still be on the bed. It is HUGE and comfy. I find the pillows too soft for my liking but with 5 pillows on the bed, it's heaven. There's a work table beside the bed, separated by a partition wall so if u need to get work done, you won't bother those who are trying to get some rest. The Bose sound system is amazing! With auxiliary cables provided, u can plug in ur iPod or phones to play your own music. Hidden at the back is the toilet, dressing area, wardrobe and safe, and bath. I love the spacious dressing area. Long counter so u don't have to wrestle for space. Good supply of personal amenities such as toothbrush kit, comb, hair dryer etc. During shower time, you can opt for a stand up shower or the IN ROOM JACUZZI! Since the hotel does not have a pool, the jacuzzi is the best place to soak and relax after a tiring day out. Panpuri toiletries are provided which smells sooooooo good. We also bought bath bombs from the stalls in chatuchak market for added pampering. Breakfast every morning is served at the restaurant at the lobby floor. U are given a choice of 5-6 items, all of which are enough to fuel us for the morning. We also tried room service which was equally delicious and affordable. For those who do not wanna spend about $10-$12 for pad Thai, can just walk across to the 7-11 to grab stuff to eat. Overall, the hotel is conveniently located. Just 5-7mins walk to Terminal 21 and 15mins walk to Healthland Asoke Massage centre. But this hotel is a gem of a find. I will definitely return to stay here again and will recommend it to those who are coming to Bangkok!"Tugu Malang: "Exquisite"
"Treat yourself and stay here. The team is professional, the food is excellent, the facilities are first rate, but all that aside.... this hotel is all about the ambiance. Consistent with the Tugu group's Jakarta restaurants, the hotel is completely filled with historical treasures, all in their signature charming-quirky-spooky-fascinating-yet-luxurious way. my only complaint is that I wanted to learn about all the pieces, but there was no way to- i reckon little description cards next to everything there would totally ruin the aesthetic. And if you are going to stay here, i reco you go all the way: We stayed in the Zamrud suite - such a treat to climb UP into your four poster bed after a bath in that gigantic tub (you can't not). and if not occupied, make sure you get a tour of the luxury rooms- they are beautifully and very creatively designed. great location too for Bromo tours and all kinds of city exploring- Malang is a lovely city- enjoy!"The River Resort: "Lovely in Every Way"
"We spent three nights at The River Resort. The resort is 1st. class in a very remote location built along side the Mekong River. The grounds of the property are mostly rice patties. When we were there, the rice plants were about one foot high and a lovely green. The other plants and trees are indigenous. Gardeners work daily keeping the property in pristine condition. Our room had a wall of windows looking out over the Mekong River as well as a patio.. The large room was broken into four sections: bedroom, dressing area, WC and shower. The shower was spacious and had a door that lead to an outdoor shower (Very Nice). The room was very nice and functional. The food service consisted of a large open area dining room with a thatched room for protection from the elements. There were no walls, and the space was cooled only by large ceiling fans. Lunch and dinner utilized the same Asian and Western cuisine menu. Breakfast consisted of a small buffet and hot food cooked-to-order in the kitchen. We enjoyed the cuisine very much. The service was ,friendly and professional. They did their best to accommodate any requests. There are numerous activities that can be scheduled at the resort. However, since we were on a private tour, our guide and activities were all arranged. The River Resort is truly exceptional, especially in Laos. It is a place to truly get away from it all and discover more about the people and places of this remote corner of the world"Maisons Wat Kor: "Charme"
Beautiful little hotel , zen and bucolic. Very clean simple . The staff very kind and helpful . Very quite in the middle of the vegetation. Rooms simple , authentic. I recommend this hotel . Must do the bamboo train good experience to understand what appended during the war for these people trying to escapeSupanniga Eating Room: "Awesome food and service!"
"We went back to Supanigga (Sathorn area of Bangkok) on our return to Bangkok, as it was our favourite restaurant of a two-week holiday. The food is fantastic, the restaurant has a good atmosphere and the service is quick and friendly. Staff also speak good English. The staff even flagged a taxi for us outside the restaurant to Chatuchak market. For people who want tasty, reliable and authentic Thai food at affordable prices, Supanigga takes some beating. Please note there are three Supaniggas in Bangkok and they are well spread out so don’t forget to book the closest one."Tugu Bali: "Excellent service and homely feel"
"Absolutely fantastic service. I have never experienced more genuine and attentive service from our arrival to departure. Simply flawless. Love the maze like garden with canals and fishes. Rooms are good a bit run down, but all is made up by the fantastic staff! Well worth a visit!! World class service in a stunning surrounding. "Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Perfect desert island"
Heavenly escape. Stunning empty beaches and classy set up. Individual beach houses with a central clubhouse which served up delicious and sophisticated menu with a limited but daily changing menu. This is not for folk who like to dress up for dinner in their best clothes. But perfect for anyone looking for a trendy but very relaxed vibe. Each beach hut is owned by individuals so each one different. Huts on beach are lovely. Sea lulls you to sleep.Everything was gorgeous but in an understated way. Travelling with husband and two young adult kids and we all loved it. Spa good and bar had a pool table. Nothing much to do - no shopping or places to go. Just beach, snorkelling, market trips, a boat, yoga and total unwind. Great staff. Perfect if quiet and peaceful is what you're looking for.Misool: "EXISTE PARAISO NA TERRA"
Paraíso perdido no planeta terra.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "residing in a museum"
Perfect place to stay for a few nights, very central to the downtown heritage streets and close to the beach front as well. Service is very attentive and the rooms have all the comfort you need on top of the stylish ambiance and grandeur of a historical mansion.
