Dewakan: "Exquisite"

Review by: stubbyytoes | Source: Trip Advisor
"The 10 course dinner menu is well-crafted and each course successfully tickled different areas of our taste buds. The meal starts with 4 complimentary snacks, followed by 3 appetizers, 4 main courses, 3 desserts & ends with Malaysian-flavored ice pops. These are served over a 3-hour period, which is good timing for me personally - lots of time for good, long conversations! Love the fact that each course is infused with Malaysian flavors, bringing these local ingredients to another level. The restaurant atmosphere was quiet and service was impressive - they were quick to response to our needs. However, there are limited tables and they only entertain reservations made online (check out their website). This restaurant is located in KDU College, Glenmarie - may be quite a distance from KL but convenient for patrons from Shah Alam & Subang Jaya. Overall, we had an enjoyable evening. It was definitely a great fine dining experience."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Neeleshwar Hermitage peaceful and comfortable"

Review by: indefatigable | Source: Trip Advisor
"Do not be put off by the proud boast that Monty Don has been a visitor, this is a very nice hotel indeed. The bungalow style rooms are very nicely appointed, comfortable, and even the cheaper rooms are spacious. When booking, look at the hotel plan on the hotel website and they will try to book you into your selected choice. During our stay the hotel was occupied almost entirely by English couples of a certain age so do not expect a great deal of exited activity, but that is not the point of this hotel. It is quiet, peaceful, and a great place to recover from a journey to the subcontinent and recover from jetlag. The gardens in which the rooms are set are beautifully kept. The staff are a delight, have good english, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is very good; there are two restaurants which is a good effort from a relatively small property. This hotel is highly recommended. There is one quirk. Visitors to Kerala should know that very few hotels have full liquor licences. Neeleshwar Hermitage supply a very limited but entirely satisfactory choice of wines and very cold beer at a fair price for a top Indian hotel. I don't think spirits are available at all, soft drinks like Coca cola are strongly discouraged as their own enormous selection of fresh juices are provided. Try their freshly squeezed orange juice with your contraband duty free gin. There is no fridge in your room. Booking seven months ahead we were not able to incorporate a trip on their boat 'Lotus' so I can't report on this but it is clearly a popular choice. Room Tip: Look at the hotel plan on the hotel website and request it on making your reservation"

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Great food in a lovely location"

Review by: "Poppygoodwill " | Source: Trip Advisor
A comfortable, modern interior with funky sculptures and lots of light. A gorgeous lake view and terrace to sit and enjoy a pre-dinner drink. Delicious food and knowledgeable, attentive service. The genuine hospitality of Lucia and Felix. And it is truly vegetarian friendly. We let them know beforehand that I am vegetarian and without asking, the amuse bouche and other little extras that came were all vegetarian, which was very much appreciated. A really lovely evening in a special place. Well worth it.

Akame: "Must try Taiwanese aboriginal cuisine"

Review by: TaiwanWalker_Ann | Source: Trip Advisor
"Amazing dinner at Akame! A modern Taiwanese aboriginal cuisine restaurant in Pingtung, the two chefs Alex and Sky are both Rukai people, creating new styles of aboriginal grilled cuisine. Grilled quail with black garlic sauce and grilled Taiwanese pork are my most favorite. If they have mullet wine, it's perfect match with grilled meat."

Villa Song Saigon: "Compact Asian Luxury.. Absolutely fantastic hotel"

Review by: Nolan A | Source: Trip Advisor
"We booked the same day we were to arrive given our initial hesitation to have Vietnam as destination for our long weekend escapade. We were amazed at the efficiency by which we were accommodated. The suites were booked for the night but a smaller room was instead alloted for us. It was topnotch from the pristine furnitures and fixtures to the vibrant yet impressively balanced art works. The following day we were transferred to the freed up art villa suite with an astonishing den overlooking the saigon river. The breakfast was eat all you can ala carte and the boutique hotel again exceeded our expectations. Personally this is where we had our best ever coffee experience and you can feel there was passion behind the creation of the food they serve. The hotel helped us book with the river sunset cruise. With the weather getting in the way of seeing the sunset, our guide ""Luke"" took us instead to the floating Pagoda and to a coconut drop off point where we had fresh young coconut juice that tastes even more heavenly than the ones we have in our very own beloved Philippines. This was the highlight of the vietnamese cultural education aspect of our trip having been immersed with our superbly fluent local guide who's versed with of course the country's current issues and its vibrant history. The attentive hot staff were promptly alert and each was attentively catering to our every tiny need. If you're after a compact yet very privately intimate vietnamese atmosphere fused with a strong french structural vibe, then you'd certainly feel like you struck gold with Villa Song. It heartfully made our vietnam trip an unforgettable success."

CABOCHON: "Counting the days until I can go back"

Review by: Silva774 | Source: tripadvison.com
"If you're reading through these reviews then I think you have already made up your mind to stay here. And you are making the right decision!! This has to be the best little boutique hotel to stay in Bangkok. The service is 5 star and the decor of the hotel makes you want to fully unpack and call it your new home. When I go back, I will make sure I stay a whole week. 2 nights was so short that I almost cried leaving. Do not miss the restaurant! I wish we had had more than one dinner there. Absolutely amazing and smaller plates so you can try a lot! Thank you Cabochon! Cheers to the next gin and tonic on the secret garden on the garage rooftop! "

Villa Song Saigon: "Amazing boutique hotel"

Review by: Janssen123 | Source: Trip Advisor
An amazing boutique hotel besides the Saigon river. Normal rooms are a little small but the suites are amazing. My spouse and I stayed in a suite with balcony and we truely loved it. Everything is just great. All staff are most pleasant and Freddie at the terrace restaurant made sure we were well taken care of. For my birthday, flowers with a personal card was delivered to our suite; how attentive!. A private boat takes you from the hotel to the city (district 1) and at specified times, the boat will bring you back. We stayed 4 nights at this wonderful hotel and we enjoyed every minute of it!

Manda De Laos: "Excellent restaurant"

Review by: Silvano1971 | Source: Trip Advisor
Excellent restaurant in a beautiful garden. The food (local Lao food) was excellent and the service was also very good. We ended going there in four of our six nights in Luang Prabang.

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Honeymoon"

Review by: Andrea C | Source: Trip Advisor
Esperienza davvero positiva"

Satri House: "The ideal hotel, faultless in every way"

Review by: jojomartin | Source: Trip Advisor
"We chose Satri House after a bad experience in Chiang Mai and didn't want to take any chances. Our choice was extremely good. Satri House is perfect in almost every way. The architecture, the ambience, the gardens, the stafff all blend into a package that I really cannot fault. There is something so natural, so unassuming and effortless in the professionalism at Satri House that people in every service industry could learn from. We enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay from three to six nights. We arrived and were welcomed and showed into the charming drawing room, where Giovanni introduced himself. We had a junior suite in House 7, which some people here have said might be somewhat louder than elsewhere, but the hotel is situated in a city after all. It was not a problem; on the contrary, the decor and fittings were extremely tasteful. How great was it not to have a flat-screen TV in a hotel room as the default option! The large four-poster bed was very comfortable, the room had both a fan and air-conditioning. We ate at the restaurant once at Satri House on our first evening and would recommend it. The waiting staff, who double up at the bar, are really friendly and, if you want, keen to practise their English and tell you about Lao culture (Thanks Panyit and Peng!) Breakfast consists or either Western choices (baguette, to-die-for-croissants with homemade pineapple, tomato and tamarind jams, egg dishes) or Lao dishes (noodle soups, rice porridge etc). Again, the staff were extremely attentive and unassuming, watched over by a lady restaurant head who could seemingly converse in every possible language. There are two pools, with each lounger sporting towels and a complementary Panama hat. The centre of Satri House is colonial villa which has been added on to in the same style by the present owner. The small gardens blend in to the buildings, joined by bamboo-lined alleys and stairways, decorated tastefully with colonial furniture and statues of Oriental divinities. It's cleverly executed, making the site seem bigger than it is. An odour of lemongrass lingers in the air, pleasant to human noses and repellent for mosquitoes. Satri House is quite simply the best place I have ever stayed in."
