Villa Mathis: "Everything about this place is just perfect"
Love to travel but most love staying in unique places. Mathis so far is the most incredible place I have ever stayed in. Each villa is unique and represents different parts of Indonesia. Also each villa has its own pool, place to chill, read, meditate or just play around. The service is amazing. The location is great close everywhere which makes is perfect place to stay in.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Well looked after"
Stayed in April. Our lodge was comfortable, food excellent and the staff and owner very friendly. We were well looked after. Highlights included the resident birdlife and the possibility of seeing the leopard who roams the area. Best of all, was the sunrise casting a pink glow over Fishtail mountain and the others in the Annapurna range. This only happened one of the mornings we were there, nevertheless it was awesome.Cuca: "Tasty gastronomical food with okay price"
The place is super nice. This restaurant has enormous outdoor space that kids can play after or before they eat. The staff is also kid friendly and very polite. food wise, it tasted great. We tried the mushroom, fried chicken, soft shell crab and the fried chicken. All of them are tasty. The portion of the appetizer is small but for the chicken and soft shell crab, the size is a normal size portion, not tapas portion.Cuca: "Superb restaurant"
The food style is tapas so you can order as little or as much as you like. The tastes are amazing as is the presentation. It's so good that we went twice while on an 8 day trip in the area.Mathis Retreat: "Lovely boutique hotel – perfect hideaway"
"I stayed here for a week and I miss it everyday! For the first part of the week, it was me and a girlfriend who came to Ubud to get away from the city, do a little exploring and do some yoga. We weren't sure if we wanted to stay in Ubud the whole time or go somewhere else in Bali, but after two nights, we extended our stay. One of our favourite things was having breakfast looking at out the private rice fields every morning, it was so relaxing. The pool had the perfect view. The hotel had a really good balance between a tranquil relaxed vibe, without being sleepy, and had some really good tunes throughout the day by the pool too (I ended up asking them for their playlist). The hotel was just a 10 minute scooter ride into town, which meant everything was really accessible without it being crazy all the time. My friend ended up going home early and I stayed on for an extra 2 days. The staff took such good care of me. And as a solo female traveler, safety is extremely important. They was so lovely and even taught me some Indonesian. The GM was super lovely and very hands on, she would come by and chat with the guests, without being intrusive. It was such a wonderful trip and the hotel was a huge part of it. Seriously, great rooms, great resto (really good food!), great view and great staff. I would definitely come back!"Tugu Bali: "Excellent performance"
"We didn't stay at this hotel. We walked in off the street and were completely drawn in by the decor. It's gorgeous! We walked around, saw the store downstairs, the beautiful swimming pool and grounds, walked around every floor and saw the amazing views. There were lovely air-conditioned rooms with individuals working at their computers so I think this would be a great place for folks with computer work to do. We were told there was a free performance with dinner so we stayed. The performance was 3 different dances with men playing gongs and the gamelan. It was a wonderful evening in a fabulous space. We met an Australian couple who were staying there and chatted with them for a while. They said the rooms were wonderful too. Also a great place to stay or for a special evening for couples. Thank you Hotel Tugu for a wonderful evening and for the photos! Room Tip: Stay for the performance"The Cabochon Hotel: "a Heaven in Bangkok"
"it is no doubt my most favorite hotel in the globe. there are anything in here which I expect for shelter escape from daily hard work, nice and beautiful building by style of old era, the high quality amenity , exotic smell from Lemongrass aromatic oil, charm of china ware , beautiful view of orchid flower ,and many many, but the best point for me, a smile , grace , warm coming from all of hotel staffs, it is friendly keeping polite manner . Cabochon it is my home in Bangkok , staffs also my family in Thailand. Room Tip: every rooms are charming , choose it by occasion ,purpose etc"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A perfectly relaxing idyll with fabulous staff and great food"
We stayed here for 8 days in early January & loved it. The resort is situated on a very quiet beach with golden sands & has amazing views of the sunset every evening. The pool is large & there are plenty of (very comfortable) loungers & the grounds are pretty and well maintained. There are 2 restaurants which offer different & delicious menus each day. The rooms are large, comfortable & immaculate & I really liked the half open bathroom. I had one spa treatment which was reasonably priced & very relaxing - I also appreciated the free ayurvedic consultation beforehand. We also took an evening cruise along the back waters on a houseboat organised by the hotel - we were the only people on a quite large boat so that was lovely. What really makes the resort stand out is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - they were lovely all the way through but particularly on my husband's 50th birthday when they decorated his breakfast table with flowers, presented him with a bouquet, presented him with a personalised birthday cake (& the whole team turned out to sing happy birthday) & wrote happy birthday in flowers on the bed - all of this for free & without my requesting it. It made the day & the holiday so very special - we were really touched & very appreciative.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Amazing and unique hotel"
We loved our six nights and were lucky enough to stay in Escoy - the room with a gold leaf timber Chinese screen. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the Georgetown location fascinating. We also had an excellent meal at the Indigo restaurant.Mume: "The perfect place for dinner"
"I read about Mume just days before a quick trip to Taipei and to my luck the restaurant had availability! I loved the relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere, open kitchen and how the design of the restaurant makes good use of the space. The size of the tables are very comfortable and you are seated at a nice distance from other guests. Cocktails were of course delicious and the food was fantastic. Everything we ordered was perfectly balanced in flavour, texture and appearance. Each dish showed creativity, brought excitement and every bite was wonderful. The waiters and waitresses were very sweet. Thank you to everybody, front of house and kitchen, for the incredible meal!"
