The Island Lodge: "The perfect place to stay in the Mekong Delta"
Having been to Vietnam before i wasn't looking to explore but it must be said that Island Lodge would be the perfect place to explore the Mekong Delta from, everything is literally on your doorstep when staying here. I was looking for a quiet place to work and relax and it is perfect for this too. Set on an island facing the Mekong, the property has the feel of a grand home with warm, friendly and discreet staff on hand when required. Such a peaceful spot, time seems to slow down here, Ideal to catch up on some work or to just relax with a good friend or a good book. And I never tired of watching the boats on the Mekong from the balcony of my room. The perfect place for a city break, the perfect place to explore the Mekong delta from and the perfect place just to relax and unwind. If you are heading to Saigon make time for a few days here. Thank-you Michel and the team for making us feel so at home. See you again sometime soon I hope.Villa Song: "A must stay"
Welcomed warmly upon arrival after a long flight from the UK. Arrived early and offered a complimentary breakfast whilst waiting for our room to be made ready along with shower facilities to freshen up. We had a lovely room overlooking the river, the bed was divine as was everything actually. The staff could not have been more helpful, we were booked in originally for 2 nights but extended to 3 as we had such a lovely time. A salt water pool at bath temperature, complimentary speed boat shuttle into District 1, fabulous breakfast menu and located in an oasis of calm in the madness that is Ho Chi Minh City. We highly recommend staying here in this beautiful Villa Hotel. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff who made our stay so enjoyable. It was greatly appreciated and we will certainly be telling all of our friends about you.Pindaya Farm House: "Peaceful Place"
We really enjoyed our one-night stay here. It was peaceful, relaxing, and the food was so tasty and fresh! The room was clean (a space heater would have been useful!) and our little balcony gave a great view of the sunset and surrounding hills. Lovely!Rachamankha: "Truly Fantastic Hotel"
"This was our second stay at this wonderful boutique hotel in Chiang Mai. This time we stayed for seven nights and our intention was to rest and relax in this haven in the the old part of the city. The location is fantastic. It is only a quick 15 minute drive from the airport and it is situated down a quiet side street that is an easy walk to shops, bars and restaurants and also to the night walking market. Its location means that is is quiet. If you have an interest or appreciation for great architecture then you will really love the way that this hotel has been designed. The bedrooms are large, beautifully furnished and have very comfortable beds. The lobby and outdoors areas are stunning. The pool area is wonderful. The pool is large and very clean.(..) The Rachamankha has a beautiful dining room and it is here that they serve an a la carte breakfast which is top notch. We also had a number of evening meals here and they were great too. This hotel is stunning. Great facilities, beautiful environment, fantastic location - all topped off by outstanding service which is very attentive without being intrusive. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough"Mie Cafe: "Best meal in Siam Reap"
Siv Pala is a Cambodian chef to watch out for. He trained in Switzerland and has added European technique to Khmer cooking that is fresh and innovative. We tried the highly rated, over rated, very formal Damnak lounge but it pales in comparison. We had both lunch and dinner here the same day because it was so good. We had the gourmet set menu. 5 courses for $24 US but brilliant dishes starting with a shrimp cold starter and the fresh fish soup, then two amazing entrees-a langoustine crepe and an oxtail stew. Both were subtle with rich texture and full of umami. The setting, too, is lovely. Outdoor patio, romantic, opposite of stuffy. Staff were always attentive and the chef, good-ooking per my wife, youngish man of impeccable manners greeted us after dinner. Best meal of our three day stay. Do not miss! The Island Lodge: "Safe Haven"
On arrival, our car dropped us. You have to take a small path to get to the hotel. This lush haven is by the Mekong River. We are greeted with a great "welcome drink". The rooms are beautiful, spacious and decorated tastefully. We are in the midst of lush nature and facing the Mekong. Children have much appreciated the lovely large pool. What happiness!Talabgaon Castle: "Nice hotel with AMAZING hospitality"
"Well, it was a long weekend break, and the wife and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to do 2 things - 1. Visit Bhangarh Fort - which is rated the most haunted place in India 2. Unwind and do practically nothing - as our work schedules are quite hectic On our way from Gurgaon, we covered Bhangarh Fort which is little detour off the route to Lalsot, then carried onto our final destination - Talabgaon Heritage Resort. The road till Lalsot Via Manoharpur - Dausa is quite good, with less traffic and we managed to cover the 290 Kms in about 5 hours. However, on the way back we took the Alwar route, road again is very good however the traffic on this road is more, hence took about 6 hours to reach. The resort is well off the grid, so basically nothing to do but relax at the hotel once there. This is made easy by the fact that the property is quite huge, very well maintained, the staff is ever so polite and eager to help, cleanliness is well taken care of and the food is simply AWESOME !! Dinner was by the pool side both nights, which was a nice arrangement with an army of staff standing by to force feed you :) Mr Narindra Mitra, the GM at the hotel, definitely deserves special mention for making sure we have a pleasant stay and managing the entire hotel/staff so well. Will definitely visit here during my next road trip maybe later this year. Couple of things which readers should be aware of while visiting the place - 1. There is no 4G/3G here for sure, so forget your laptop/ iPad at home and maybe tell the Airtel woman to come down here and do her crappy advertisement :) 2. Wi-Fi wasn't working throughout our stay due to some issue 3. Pool isn't really something to write home about and can be best avoided (The Management should make an investment and get this fixed)"MesaStila: "The best and most RELAXING stay!"
This is my first time to Indonesia, and staying at Mesastilla has been the making of my stay. I have loved every part of the experience, and the best part about it all is that they provided me with guided access to so much of the surrounding areas. The real Java. We rode for miles and walked each day, meeting the locals and exploring the villages and mosques. I just loved the staff and especially the hotel manager and my personal trainer/guide. I also did the Java dance lesson and it was fabulous. Aside from all of that the spa rooms were amazing and I slept, ate and relaxed. I only had three days but it felt like longer. I am leaving tomorrow and will miss it all. I am definitely coming back and bring my friends and family.Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Amazing Hanok"
It was our first time to Seoul and my friend and I decided to spend the first 2 nights in a Hanok. We chose this place based on the pictures and reviews people posted here. It turned out to be the best experience ever. We had lots of fun and al Mr.Kim was a lot of help. He helped pointed us to a great restaurant for buddaejjigae. And also helped us with any questions we had. We would totally recommend this Hanok. They cleaned the room everyday and it was well kept. Thanks again Mr. Kim with all your help and hospitality. "This is a lovely boutique hotel with delicious food served in a beautiful courtyard, pleasant staff and a relaxing, quiet swimming pool lined with comfortable chaise lounges. Rooms are traditional and large, if a bit spartan. The owner's curated Asian art collection adds to the peaceful atmosphere. There is also a gorgeous library containing a mix of beautiful books belonging to the owner and paperbacks left by other visitors; we took advantage of this to swap our finished paperbacks for some left by other readers. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
