SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Best lunch in Yangon"
I've read about this restaurant in TripAdvisor and went to check out when my boyfriend came to visit me in Yangon. We loved each part of our Sunday lunch. The restaurant is beautiful, clean decoration, very attentive staff, beautiful lake view and very well organized. I am not sure if it is always like that but there were 2 set menu options available, 2 or 3 courses. We went for the 2 courses: starter and main dish. We ordered a rose wine to go along. The meal started with some lovely amuse bouche and they offered bread. My dishes were delicious and so were my boyfriend's. In the end, we were not sure if we had space for the dessert but we were offered a chocolate dish as house courtesy! We were delighted! The meal and drinks were not cheap but it worth each cent that we paid. The food, the ambience, the staff, the quality, the service, all high standard. I do recommend and I hope to return soon. To the Seeds' team, congratulations! It was a lovely meal and service!Inle Princess Resort: "Paradise on Earth"
This resort is paradise and we had a wonderful stay here. Attracted since we saw the photos on the Internet BT when we came here, we were shocked with it's beauty. A peaceful place with river view. Very traditional and beautiful. The room is huge with Oriental decor. I love sitting outside of the balcony and watching the life on the river. Best moment of my life.misool: "DC"
World class diving...the staff was friendly, accommodating, and excited to share any knowledge about marine life or surrounding area. The food was fresh and plentiful while offering a nice variety. Beautiful resort with paddle boards, kayaks, snorkeling, scuba diving, and spa services. Having air condition over the beds at night was comforting and being able to step off your deck to walk, swim or snorkel was lovely. Bring whatever you need with you as this is a remote island. Small refrigerators are in villas. Loved this resort!Summertime Villa: "Amazing and Serene! Best place for a trip with a close bunch of friends"
"I had the best time at this place and it showcased Goa in a new light! Away from parties, just the calmness and beauty of this place will make you wish to stay and not want to leave! 5 of 5 bubblesValue 5 of 5 bubblesComfort 5 of 5 bubblesLocation 5 of 5 bubblesCleanliness 5 of 5 bubblesService"Tugu Bali: "Marvelous"
I and my husband just had an amazing meal at this restaurant. It's a very stylist place with a really lovely ambience. The food is absolutely delicious with alot of choice. Service and setting fantastic. We will return and highly recommended.Samanea Beach Resort: "“Stunning location – pontoon into the sea a great plus”"
"We were only there for one night, but it's a spectacular location - 12 nicely designed bungalows in a green park where you can't see or hear your neighbors. There were two Khmer families shooting their wedding albums - which gives you some idea of how nice it was - and with a 25 mètre pool you don't need to do into the sea - but there is a 59 mètre or so pier which takes you over the initial mud and far enough out that the sea is easy to swim in Food was excellent - although slightly bizarrely they had no fish or crabs. Extremely Eco friendly, and very nice staff Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Sukoon Houseboat: "The best"
Wowww... We booked this houseboat only after thoroughly checking all the reviews. My main concern was the washroom and safety and my personal recommendation will be sukoon houseboat managed by a very reputed family of Kashmir. Try to book the suite as the room size is little bigger compared to other rooms plus a little more private. Good food and thank to the wonderful host Babu. Would definitely come back again soon.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Pearl surrounded by tea bushes"
This hotel doesn't only welcome you at their doorstep, but already at the airport of Bagdogra: the driver offers you a cold drink and wet towels to get you set for the three and a half hours drive to the estate. On the way, you are offered real Glenburn tea, sandwiches (which we really liked) and cake. How English. The trip to the hotel is a long one and the last 45 minutes are like sitting in a blender. But it is all more than worth it: the setting of this hotel is absolutely gorgeous: the tea plantation surrounds the beautiful house and the view on the Himalaya is stunning. We were warmly welcomed by the English couple who manage the hotel on behalf of the Calcutta-based owners and they do an excellent job in making certain the guests are comfortable. We stayed in the old property in a spectacular room with a huge bed, fireplace and small garden room (it was, indeed, the room we requested. In advance they would not confirm the room to us, and to be hones, considering the price this hotel charges, we find it incorrect that they should not accept reservations for specific rooms). All service you could think of is included in the price. We love the 'bed tea': a serving of tea in your room just after you wake up. Also, it was quite a treat that you could ask for tea and cake at all times of the day. The (western) breakfast is good, but the homemade jam was more like a mash than a jam. The specials were delicious and also the homemade muesli (with home made yoghurt). The dinner was served on a large table with all guests (you can opt out, and have a private dinner). Although this sometimes takes a bit getting used to, we enjoyed talking with the various guests. The food was mostly delicious, but there were some misses here and there. The hotel is quite a distance from Darjeeling and Kalimpong, but the hotel can arrange your visit there, too (driver is included in the price). Having said that, the trip is quite long and we were content with visiting only Darjeeling on one day, and we spend the rest of our time reading, touring the tea factory (including tasting: amazing how different all the teas taste), making walks through the tea plantation and to the river (where the hotel organized a pleasant BBQ. Heed their warning to put DEET on. I forgot a spot on my arm and the small flies got me good; it itched for days after!) They have wifi in the hotel, but the connection is terrible. It is typically a location to relax after an exhausting trip through Nepal, Bhutan or India, so we would recommend staying at least three nights; a shorter stay doesn't seem worth the trouble. We would not be surprised if we found ourselves staying here again!Tugu Bali: "Beachside Balinese Bliss"
We wanted to spend sometime on the beach in Bali before heading inland and our stay at Tugu was exactly what we had hoped for and more! Within close reach of nearby cafes and beach clubs for surfing and drinks; the hotel is beautifully decorated, well maintained and has an authentic Balinese style. Canggu is a much quieter beach location than Kuta and Seminyak and the waves are more suitable for beginners. The service was superb, our room was beautiful with a massive comfy bed and the food was amongst the best I have ever eaten. I cannot stress enough how good the breakfast was!! Yum! Whilst the location was a bonus for us, it is important to note that it is in a bustling area and as such you can hear some noise on a weekend. The spa services are on the expensive side and pretty average, but this didn’t bother us too much as the food and everything else was so reasonably priced. The free Balinese dance night was our favourite evening in Bali and the staff were all so friendly and helpful, we would recommend to others and come back in a heartbeat!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Wedding Here – Great Venue"
My good friends had their wedding here and it was full of charm. The place reeks of romance and heritage, Food was so so but the place is wecloming overall.. They have a open patio and some of the guests danced in the rain, when it started pouring!
