Everything is excellent: staff, the restaurant (great menu) , rooms, afternoon tea, the decors, ... The staff will give you all sort of info and great advice. Don't forget to visit the Bakery next door: Roti Tugu. Highly recommended! One tip: book your table for dinner.The Village House: "Perfect for those going to the Rainforest Music Festival"
"My husband and stayed here for two nights while attending the rainforest music festival. We are so glad that we found the village house. -Great and friendly service at point of entry -owners were very kind and friendly -Clean great hangout area with pool and hammocks in the courtyard. Perfect for mid afternoon swims before the nighttime performances at the festival - all meals included - fully stocked bar which made it convenient to have a drink - transport provided to and from the cultural village It was a little hard to find, but not impossible. "The resort is beautiful. Each detail has been well thought out. The staff is professional and wonderfully trained. The property is maintained well and offers ""serious"" food - all beautifully presented. My cottage/room was lovely. I enjoyed everything about the property and would highly recommend a visit. There is a great deal to do in the area and they staff have beautifully organized excursions on which you take a picnic lunch. Hair dryer, robe, safe in room, great laundry service, and great service in general - the staff are very sweet, kind, and professional. One of our favourite hotels we have ever been to. The staff are so friendly and sincere and make you feel so welcome. The ambiance is spectacular with all the antiques, open areas, blue ocean, just breathtaking. We recommend the fresh caught fish of the day Indonesian style. Great food! "We visited the Tugu by chance when in search for a different dining experience. Their prefixed course menu is nothing but impressive. It is certain worth the splurge. For me the most valuable was their willingness to accommodate on vegetarian options. It is recommended to book at least a day in advance. If you have a large group, they have rooms available with a rather interesting decor theme of red lights, antique and wooden carvings (picture an imperial room in Shanghai). "Very nice hotel located close to train station (no need taxi). Many antiques collected by owner make hotel deco look unique with many rooms to discover and nice pieces of furniture. They know how to greet guests and make business: 15mn massage offered, very good local pastries with drink offered at tea time. Nice pool for children, good restaurant and cosy colonial bar. "Came here for a meal with overseas friends They don't have set meals, only a la carte. And the menu is short. There were 4 of us, and we ordered 80% of the menu. Almost every dish was spectacular - liver brulee, butter with beef fat, oysters, prawn with cheese, beef, fish etc. Service was friendly and excellent Overall similar to RAW , with slightly less hype and fame Will return"Maison Polanka: "A huge slice of heaven"
"This is the most gorgeous place you could ever stay in your travels. Cathy, Francis and all of the staff are incredible and make you feel like this is your home. From the moment you arrive everything is perfect - the immaculate grounds, the stunning pool, the delicious food, the beautiful rooms, every detail is considered. It's only a 5 minute tuk tuk ride from the town centre but it's far enough away that you're in peace. The staff will help to organise trips, buses, tuk Tuks when you need. Although to be honest you may well want to just stay here! That way you can indulge in as many massages as possible. There's no more building work next door so it's back to a quiet haven again. Stay here! Whatever else you do in Cambodia, stay here!
