Maison Polanka: "One of our favorite hotels"

Review by: Vxmiran | Source: Trip Advisor
"Maison Polanka is heaven: Wonderful location, close to everything but private and secluded. Four rooms nestled in a gorgeous garden with a fantastic pool, delicious restaurant (don't miss the amok fish and chicken skewers), a cute resident bunny, tea time with yummy baked goods, and a spa with really stellar massages. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. Can't wait to be back!"

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing experience – excellent service"

Review by: bthomas_11 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Visited for one night on our honeymoon. Were greeted by the friendly Dhanu who drove us in the jeep to camp. Stayed in a couples tent. Tent was spacious, fans, proper flush toilet next to the tent, shower under the stars (they offer warm water shower). The lunch provided was the best Sri Lankan meal I have had in our holiday in this country. The flavours and variety was specialist. Trying all the different types of vegetables and spices. After lunch we went on our first game drive. We were so lucky to see Leopard resting on branch of tree. Saj was great at spotting the wildlife and very informative about the park, history, leopards etc etc. Lovely dinner under the stars and Noel was also there for the night which was great to meet him. We were up early for the dawn game drive. Again we were very fortunate to see he bears (one which charged the jeep) and 2 Leopards which we saw mating. Amazing experience and very lucky to have these encounters with the wildlife. Overall we had an amazing time and wish we stayed 2 nights. We were lucky to see that variety in wildlife in just 2 game drives. Highly recommend. Thank you to all staff, your service and hospitality was impeccable"

Mathis Retreat: "Nice stay, good pool and friendly staf"

Review by: Tschoumakers | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed a total of 8 nights in Mathis retreat, locally known as Kenanga. We booked a room/bungalow that was a bit more luxury. It was a very nicely decorated and spacious room with a good bed. The breakfast was nice, especially the baker's selection (croissant, pain au chocolat and toast), but after 8 nights we would have liked to have a bit more choices, especially some healthy options. We had a lunch in the restaurant and it was really nice. The pool is very good, overlooking the rice fields. The last day our flight was in the evening and the manager offered us a late check out for free! Staff is very friendly. They offer a free shuttle to Ubud centre, but we preferred a scooter, which was a bit quicker.

Satri House: "Just wonderful and charming!"

Review by: TripleS-Seoul | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Excellent in every way! Top in quality of the rooms decorated with local and colonial furniture, the staff is helpful, the spa was really agreeable, the restaurant is top even if the staff is still lacking a bit of experience in the way of taking orders. For sure, this will be the place I will go back to next time I am in Luang Prabang."

Inle Princess Resort: "Wish we could have stayed longer"

Review by: freckles99 | Source: Trip Advisor
The leg rowers skillfully guide your long boat into the dock and you are then transported to serene peaceful surroundings. We were welcomed by the local Burmese cats in the lobby. Magnificent creatures and very friendly. Our mountain view room was everything you could want, right down to the free mini bar. The property is gorgeous, the meals in the restaurant are delicious. Unique breakfast additions on the complimentary buffet. We sat on the decking gazing over the water and watched the sunset which was beautiful. Our next day we indulged in massages by two skillful young ladies which were heaven. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone. The only regret we had was not being able to stay a couple more days to really relax and enjoy it.

Rachamankha: "YES! YES! YES! Totally awesome property"

Review by: shendrix | Source: Trip Advisor
I wanted to stay at Tamarind but I could not get the same room for 4 nights, and I am so glad I chose this instead. This hotel is wonderful. A glorious architectural wonder in a quiet Chiang Mai old quarter spot. The rooms-and ours was a standard- are wonderful. I wished I could have seen the upgraded rooms, but if a standard was this great, who needs an upgrade? The only small negative I had overall is that the shower tiles are a bit dated...could use a re-do...other than than that, all was amazing. Awesome staff, beautiful, sumptous breakfast, gorgeous rooms and amenities, lovely pool area. Easy walk to anything and everything. Wonderfully helpful staff with activities and transportation. 5 star all the way.

MesaStila: "Beautiful jungle retreat with excellent service"

Review by: Sarah H | Source: Trip Advisor
" came on a group retreat so my experience might not be the same as a general tourist, but had the most lovely stay with such friendly, attentive and thorough service. Our every need was catered for with such politeness and efficiency. We were in a big group with multiple events throughout our stay and complex logistical needs, and everything was made so easy thanks to the staff. The rooms themselves are very traditional and rustic, but beautifully fitted out. I had a huge four poster bed with a glorious bathroom complete with a big stone bathtub (and fresh rose petals everyday). The property is HUGE and is absolutely beautiful to explore - so much greenery, beautiful mountain views, a stunning infinite pool and comfortable common areas. The wifi is fairly reliable which was quite important for us - it would fall out every now and then but not take long to reconnect. The food on offer was traditional - quite a lot of options and always delicious. My only comment would be that it was generally quite flavoursome and heavy - there were generally options for dietary intolerances but in terms of plain ""clean eating"" it was a bit harder. Similarly, the place has gym facilities but they are very basic. Although when you come to MesaStila there is enough other physical activity to do without equipment - just go for a hike around the property! It's about 2 hours from the airport which was quite a trek, but the seclusion makes it worth it. About an hour from Borobudur but easy to organise transport through the hotel. Would definitely recommend a stay for a secluded, relaxing, retreat style holiday. The one thing that would be worth noting in advance - it is a Muslim area with many mosques surrounding it and at prayer times very early in the morning and again in the evening chanting can be heard quite loudly through amplified speakers. I didn't wake up to it overnight, but a lighter sleeper might need to invest in earplugs. It's part of the cultural immersion though, so we quite enjoyed it."

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Friday dinner"

Review by: PhilipN095 | Source: Trip Advisor
A really exceptional experience - divine location attentive staff and a warm welcome from the proprietors. Each dish was exquisite and was worth the premium prices charged. Atmosphere was also splendid and once the rains end I can imagine the al fresco experience is the best in Yangon as it has a wonderful location on the bank of Inya Lake

Rachamankha: "Quiet and peaceful oasis in Chiang Mai"

Review by: Tami S | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel was incredible. It was so peaceful and quaint and the greenery was beautiful. It was in a perfect location. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly and were always checking to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We spent New Years with them and had a great party!! I would highly recommend this hotel and location.

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Interesting culinary experience"

Review by: London D D | Source: Trip Advisor
"We finally made it to LeDu and were not disappointed. A modern minimalistic designed restaurant and categorizing its cuisine is a bit difficult. It could be defined as Young Creative Cuisine with Thai Roots blended with international flavors You have a choice of a la carte but we went for the tasting menu of 5 courses and loved it. The service staff is very friendly and explain every dish carefully- which sometimes is not easy describing the complex flavor combinations. Its really a unique & interesting dining experience and we will be back"
