Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Lovely service, imaginative food, and great attention to detail"
"I read an article about Le Du and was intrigued by its promise of elevating Thai style food. I have been in Thailand for several weeks and have enjoyed the food but not been blown away by anything that I have not tried before until tonight. We elected the 6 course tasting menu. This is really a bit more than expected because there is an amuse bouche and a fruit plate that is not listed. Server was Erica who was warm, attentive and knowledgeable. The dishes range from sea bass, river prawn, aged beef, pork jowls and a sustainable fish. Each was presented with a lovely Thai inspired sauce and accompaniment. While all the dishes were terrific in their own way, our favorites were the pork jowls an the sea bass. The lovely staff recognized my husband's celebration of his birthday with an extra dessert. So what would I say could be improved: the beef dish was the weakest in that while flavorful, it was a bit chewy. I did not observe the concerns voiced by other reviewers as a high noise level, or feeling of being rushed. We were dressed in a neat manner and felt welcome. We thought the bill was reasonable for this type of meal. Yes, there is a service charge but the charge is 10% which in our opinion is low for the amount of service and 50% of the expected tip in the US. I did find the reservation system challenging. I made a reservation for one evening, and then realized we would be open earlier in the week and tried to change the reservation. I sent an email, and initially, did not get a response. The hotel clerk called for me and changed the reservation, But I received no confirmation of change. This is partly my fault because the hotel gave the name on my passport which is slightly different ( nickname versus formal first name) that they did not recognize as the same person. We called again, confirmed and a few hours later I received a change of reservation with right day, wrong time. 2 more calls and 3 emails later, it was cleared and confirmed. So lesson learned; choose the time you want on the first try. Also, the location is a little tricky. It is in a a Soi or a little alley. So leave a little time to find it."tugu lombok: "WOW"
"From the moment we stepped out of the cab my mouth dropped! Tradition, yes and then some! Massive, manicured grounds, Infinity Pools everywhere, your eyes feast from one marvel to another! The staff couldn't be friendlier and more accommodating, they all knew my grandchildren's name in one day! If you wanted to have privacy the grounds are so massive you could have a secluded vacation here! Totally restful and awesome time here. "Tugu Lombok: "Amazing"
"My husband and 10 yr daughter visited this hotel for 5 days in April 2016. We arrived by boat on the shores of the hotel's beach. Our first impression was complete joy. The hotel manager was down to meet our boat with in moments. 'Elly', the manager, greeted us with a big smile and gracious welcome. They took our bags and Elly led us to the beautiful pool side restaurant where we enjoyed a complimentary cold drink and cold towells (scented with Jasmin). She told us all about the hotel and gave us a quick orientation. We were quickly taken by the gorgeous artifacts & structures surrounding the hotel grounds. Our room was gorgeous. The ceilings were high. The bathroom was well stocked with everytjing we needed. They had set up a separate, lovely bed for our daughter. The rooms had all the comforts you could require - stocked fridge, mosquito lotion and nets, earplugs for the early morning Muslim prayers ( which I love btw!) The hotel supplied kayaks and snorkeling gear (through we brought our own). The snorkeling was great here. The water was crystal clear and blue. The food here is incredible. Some of the best Indonesian food we've had anywhere. The drinks we all freshly mottled and cold! The art and acitecture of the entire hotel is memorizing. The staff was all very happy and very friendly, and always available. Elly organized an incredible waterfall hike to Mnt Rinjani for us. This was a highlight of our 6 week stay in Indonesia. The hotel's beaches are full of treasures from the sea. I even found an unbroken urchin shell. There are 2 amazing pools. Both very clean and cool. The entire experience of our stay at Tugu in Lombock was nothing short of wonderful. We hope to return there one day. We loved Tugu!!"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "If I never eat out again before I die – I won’t have missed much"
"Early January found us in Yangon and birthdays to celebrate. Being treated to Seeds by our son and daughter-in-law was a gift beyond compare. The setting, the food and wine, the attention to detail all delivered with what appeared to be a comfortably casual air but so obviously wasn't. Felix and Lucia you are to be congratulated not only for your food but for the delightful attitude that you have bestowed upon your staff. Cocktails by the lake is the perfect starter to a truly wonderful dining experience. I would strongly recommend making Seeds a non-negotiable part of any visit to Yangon."Villa Mathis: "Contents"

"Beautiful heritage hotel. Extremely peaceful with helpful friendly staff. Nothing was too much bother. The hotel has recently been refurbished, but retains it's original features. Bedrooms are all en-suite with his and her washbasins and all modern conveniences. On arrival we were met by the owner who was extremely welcoming. There is a substantial pool. Food was well prepared and staff most attentive during a buffet dinner. Room Tip: Rooms are all quiet due to village location. Many first floor rooms look down on a fountained courtya..."Reverie Siam: "Loving it"
"The hotel has a very beautiful ground. Everything were just amazing. Nice restaurant, unique room with jacuzzi, great pools, friendly staffs. Everything was cater to my request. I really feel I was well taken care off. I dare to say that this is probably the best hotel in pai. It's close to town yet far enough to enjoy some quiet moment. The villa 9 I had was located along the pai river. The view is amazing. The rate is high, but surely worth every penny for special occasion. Yes, at night there might be some noises and music from drinking places beyond the bank. But they stop after 10pm. It's not a problem if you close the door. But then you will not enjoy the crisp fresh air during the winter. Some mosquitoes flying in from outside, but strangely, they seem doesn't bite. I am blood type O, and I am doing fine! Haha... not sure if it's because it winter month. For rural area like pai, this is definitely a gem! Stayed February 2017, traveled solo"Tugu Bali: "Amazing Karma Mantra Massage"
"Went for a Karma Mantra (Chakra Awakening) massage and what an amazing experience. Very powerful and beautiful space. One of the best massages ever so I ended up booking a second one 2 days later before I left Bali to experience again. Worth every penny. Powerful ceremony after the massage after which time a plate of fruit is delivered. Nice space to integrate the energies. Must try. Also had lunch at hotel and it was amazing. I loved my time visiting the Inle Heritage House during my stay in Inle Lake. Passionate and talented people doing fantastic work. I enjoyed the cat sanctuary, the architecture and design of the space, the garden and sustainability efforts, and the opportunities for cooking classes... all of this while supporting the local community and hospitality education program. I would recommend a visit to anyone who will be traveling to Myanmar. Please support and enjoy this fantastic organization.
