Villa Song Saigon: "A fabulous oasis in this noisy city"
"Saigon (or Ho Chi Minh City to be PC) is a large, noisy, chaotic city. It was a relief, therefore, to find our accommodation was away from the madness, right on the river and the general ambience of the hotel reflected its location. Fabulous food and cocktails, a lovely setting, a stunning pool, very friendly staff... all in all I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in Vietnam. Stayed November 2016, traveled with friends"Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Heritage and cultural luxury"
"Built around 1840 and now providing public accommodation, this is the luxury with character missing in today's 5 (or more) star hotels. From the old fashioned door key to the huge rooms furnished to transport you back in time, the centre open courtyard with photos of those from the past or the 'day beds' along the courtyard wings to relax in, this is 'what's old is new again'. The bathroom and shower facilities are modern 'western' but still set in the decor of yesteryear. Breakfast à la cart can be a little slow but gives time to relax, enjoy the ambience and enjoy the many self serve offerings. Located in the old town area, further history and the delights of Georgetown are just out the gate"The Governor’s House: "Colonial charm"
The Governor's House is perfect for travelers looking for something beyond main stream. This colonial house has a great deal of character and charm. Each room has it's own style with an interesting mix of antiques and contemporary touches whilst the communal areas evoke a bygone era. We enjoyed breakfast in the tranquil garden... I can highly recommend the Eggs Benedict. The garden also has a small pool and relaxing chill area. All the staff are friendly and helpful, especially Yin Yin, who does a great job as GM.Cuca: "Wow!"
A Michelin star must surely be on the way. The food is excellent and served up in a wonderfully playful way (one course came served on a flattened beer bottle!). Impeccable service too.Villa Song Saigon: "Superb and enchanting"
"You have to go to believe how unique it is . The speed boat to downtown Saigon was the icing on the gateau. We arrived mid morning and were offered complimentary breakfast . Our rooms were most exciting . I shall never forget Villa Song . "Talabgaon Castle: "Perfect place to wind down between busy cities"
"To sum it up briefly this place is amazing. It is a very serene, quiet place for relaxing between the hustle bustle of the cities. You'll fall in love with this place. You won't be disappointed. Do not miss the opportunity to stay at this pristine palace. Our one night stay at the castle was exquisitely delightful. The staff greeted us with hot towels and lemon water to drink. As well as beautifully smelling flower necklaces. They showed us to our room which was tidy and supplied with bottled water and biscuits. Then they brought warm tea. We were given a menu to choose our dinner selection and we were astonished by how delicious the food was. They have an organic garden on the grounds from which they get their vegetables and they were spectacular. The chef preparations of the food were so delicious that words cannot capture how much we enjoyed the supper. In the morning we were greeted by a continental breakfast, but then they began to bring out all of the hot selections from omelettes to traditional Indian fixings. I was upset with myself for eating fresh fruit and yogurt because I wished I had more room for all the delicious breakfast selections. When you first arrive you know youre staying in a special place because you notice the castle walls as you are driving through a small village. You pass through a large traditional gate to an open area where the driveway is and there's another smaller traditional gate to enter the grounds where you can see the beautiful 200 year old structure. The grounds and castle itself are beautifully done, clean and modernized. We were provided bottled water in our room and at dinner. The bathroom was marble and glass with no shortage of hot water. The bed was large and luxurious with very clean linens. There was also a big flat screen television. There are many seating rooms and a Polo bar room. There is a large swimming pool behind the main building. We were given the opportunity to participate in a camel cart or jeep safari ride the next morning and we chose the jeep. We were able to see beautiful birds and local friendly people. You drive through these tiny, minuscule towns and the people are so delighted to see you. Because 'guests are gold' in this part of the world we were invited in for tea and Palau. Unfortunately we were not able to accept their request as our guide said we must go as we were on a stringent time schedule to leave for agra. I wish we had stayed for longer and we're able to become more acquainted with these friendly people. This place is a little out of the way, but worth it in every aspect. The food, the staff, the accomdations, the villagers, the history of the facility. You'll not want to leave and you'll be eager to retuen.great place for romantics, adventurers, or those looking for relaxation during a busy trip in india. Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "A total pleasure"
"My wife and I are delighted to add another 5 star review. Apart from the ever friendly staff what makes Inle Heritage so special is their attention to detail. The quality of all the furnishings and fittings, the roses on the pillows at bed time and bathroom facilities. As noted elsewhere the hotel is a non profit organisation, only 6 guest villas and run for the benefit of staff training. An excellent kitchen supplied from their own vegetable gardens. Service was very efficient and a pleasure to drink the local wines.at a reasonable price - imported wines being so expensive in the country. Our two day trips to Kakku and Sankar gave a further opportunity to see more of the lake environment and Buddhist culture. The highlight of our 2 week stay in Myanmar"Misool: "Probably my best Dive Holiday!!!"
"Misool Eco Resort combines the best parts of conservation, sustainability, diving and watersports in a laidback luxury style. The food was always delicious and care is taken to not waste food by preordering meals. Fresh and local ingredients are used. No plastic bottles or packaged products are used on the island and ocean-friendly toiletries are available in the villas. At the same time the attention and friendliness of all staff and the beautiful setup create a 5star experience. The diving sites are some of the best in the world and care is taken that the dive groups stay small and there is never many divers at the same time on one divesite. Sue, Mark and Sabine (the managers and head of watersports) are friendly, fun and very knowledgeable and take time to get to know each guest to ensure everyone can make the most out of their stay! Thanks guys, I had an awesome time!!"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Full of Love"
"As their website states the husband and wife team that owns and operates this restaurant are full of love of everything and it shows in the food that they serve, the ambiance and comfort of the restaurant and the many good causes they support. When I emailed the restaurant to book a reservation here is the response that I received: ""Thank you so much for your reservation. We will set up a nice table for you on terrace. Thank you so much. With best regards, Lin Lin"". Right from the start I had no doubt that I had picked a great place to dine in Yangon. Felix is a Michelin Starred Chef who has worked in many restaurants in Europe and his wife and partner Lucia is a wonderful hostess and manager for the restaurant. Lucia came by our table several times during our dinner to visit with us and we had several amazing conversations with her about their history as husband and wife in the restaurant industry. We learned from Lucia that she and Felix decided that they wanted more than what Europe had to offer and traveled to Malaysia to open a restaurant there and then continued on to Myanmar where they found their dream location. The food that they serve at Seeds is absolutely outstanding, made from very fresh local ingredients and the servings are generous. Between each course we were provided with small snacks that were also amazing. At the end of our dinner we were inundated with incredible desserts even after saying that we could not eat any more food. We took what we could not eat back to our hotel and we had a wonderful treat for the next day. During our conversations with Lucia she explained how much they love supporting the local farmers, the local meat producers, the local people and also the community of Myanmar as a whole. After leaving Yangon my wife and I have talked about Seeds a lot, how wonderful the food was and how wonderful and giving Felix and Lucia are. We hope that everyone who visits Myanmar will include dining at Seeds during their visit for the great food that they serve, the great causes that they support and their love of everything that they do."Villa Song Saigon: "Best staycation"
River view, love garden, boutique pool, and of course must mention the beautiful villa where accommodate 10+ rooms in colonial designs. We stayed in 3 different types of rooms at Villa Song & all have its own uniqueness.
