Arumdalu: "Great experience"
The best resort on the island, the beach at the back of the resort is totally private, feels like i owned the beach by myself, food at the resort is great, just abit pricey for belitung island... But so far this is the best experience …Villa Song Saigon: "Oasis in Saigon"
The quiet and classic getaway away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms which went from a nice boutique style upscale luxury standard to a luxurious design and feel with beautiful furniture, original artwork, and excellent serviceGolden Buddha Beach Resort: "Pure bliss"
My husband and I stayed at this lovely resort for 5 days at the end of our travels through Thailand and it was an absolute dream! All of the staff were very helpful, welcoming, and instantly made me feel at home. As we rode on the long tail boat to the resort I could start to feel my stress and worries melt away, which continued throughout our time there. The food was absolutely amazing and there was a huge variety. I don't think they offered the same thing twice in the week we were there. The breakfast buffet was heavenly and the best way to start each day. Although I have traveled somewhat extensively, I have never been so sad to leave a resort. I would go back in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all.Maison Polanka: "Perfect."
Wonderful stay in the Yellow Room - quite, well appointed and spacious (much bigger than pictured). The owner cobbled together 6 or more properties to create a couple acre paradise. It's plenty close to downtown Siem Reap and down a sleepy side street so it is private and sees no traffic. Breakfast is quality - latte, fresh local fruit, freshly baked bread, eggs any way you like, etc. Toss in helpful staff (arranged tuk tuk to/from temples and car to PP, booked restaurants, even called airline on our behalf to inquire about changing flights), free bikes to tool around in, good library, and relaxing pool with excellent kitchen, and the choice is easyVilla Mathis: "magnifique établissement"
our last hotel in Bali. We ask reception for a quiet room and the hotel manager tied indicates that we can choose our room as we are the only customers. QUIET in effet..Superbe establishment run by a French garden and épouse.Magnifique Okay entretenu.La room is very large and includes dressing room, indoor and outdoor bathroom plus a large terasse.l'hotel has 4 swimming pools one at the foot of the villa .Very good stayZhiwa Ling: "Beautiful hotel in Paro, Bhutan"
This is a beautiful hotel in the magical and serene Paro valley in Bhutan, a place as faraway as one can imagine and more than a bit like the fictional Shangri La. Constructed in the architectural style of the country, it is a gorgeous property, with lots of open space. Rooms are located in about eight separate buildings, four to six rooms per building, all with balconies facing the nearby river. Our room was spacious and very nicely decorated; it included separate tub and shower, comfortable king size bed, balcony seating area and more than ample closet space. The fitness center is reasonably well equipped and situated in a large, attractive space adjacent to a large indoor swimming pool. The lobby and public meeting spaces are distinctively and comfortably furnished and decorated in the local style. The staff is as gracious and anxious to please as one can find in a hotel anywhere. This is a top tier hotel by any standard.Muang La Lodge: "A truly wonderful hotel"
"A superior hotel that offers a wow factor. At the time of staying we were the only guests and were treated like royalty. The quality of the room was stunning, and the service provided by the staff was second to non, including satisfying an urgent need for clean laundry. We would highly recommend a trek from the hotel, this was a challenging adventure, but highly worthwhile. The location on the banks of the river with accompanying hot springs was spectacular, and we were made to feel very much at home. Food was really rather wonderful. We cannot rate it highly enough, and would love to return one day. Stayed October 2016, traveled as a couple"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A Unique Experience"
"We chose this ""add on"" to our small group Saga tour of India and Nepal. It turned out to be the best possible decision. It is difficult to write about without overdoing the superlatives. So I will attempt to reign myself in. In a way it was the very best kind of late fifties/early sixties time warp. Style, grace and comfort, fine dining without the affectation that can spoil simple first class food. As much as possible was home grown and home made. The jams and marmalades just delicious on freshly baked bread. Nothing was wasted, it was an excellent lesson in green, sustainable tourism. Days ended with sundowners in front of a roaring fire. The chef was also kind enough to show me how to prepare one of the very tasty appetisers we enjoyed with our drinks. As we happened to be the only guests for dinner on our last evening we were treated to a table set in the small dining area in front of a log fire. We had five courses all freshly cooked and prepared right down to the final tiny crispy granola bars with coffee. We did enjoy a short walk to meet some of the locals and a great bird watching lesson from Harri.. I intend to start a new hobby now! There was plenty to do but nothing was forced on us. We were really tired after a strenuous tour and mainly wanted to enjoy the peace reading outside in sunshine, and have wonderful food....with choice between continental or local,,,, then tuck up in an enormous bed with hot water bottles at the end of each perfect day. We had three such days and were very sad to leave. Thank you Marcus and please thank your amazing staff."Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Glorious in every way"
"Well, probably our sixth review of this place over past 10 years and it continues to amaze us, and is better each time. You know already what this place offers, so briefly this time a huge pat on the back for every member of staff; and a warm embrace for Alex who continues to plough his own yoga furrow, teaches beautifully and cocks a snook at modern middle class yoga cultists! Go, before places like this become inaccessible or even slightly over developed. It remains unique. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Glenburn Tea Estate: "Heaven on Earth"
It's a four hour drive from Bagdogra airport and a very bumpy one at that, but the moment you arrive you forget all of that. The tea estate accommodation is amazing. I stayed in the Singalila suite in the bungalow and it was to die for. The interior design was immaculate and the view from my window of Kanchenjunga in the morning heavenly. Food was fantastic. So quiet and peaceful, a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
