Rachamankha: "Lovely – definitely unexpected in the city; quiet and peaceful"

Review by: Sonya G | Source: Trip Advisor
Beautiful Thai decor and ambience. It was very hot when we were there but the rooms were beautiful and cool. Drinking water was abundant and we did not have to purchase water whilst we were there. The design of the hotel is a great concept and interesting to read about in the books scattered in the common area - beautiful design; we would have used this area more had it been cooler. The library was amazing - my husband wants one like it! The pool is lovely, though warm later in the day as it is not sheltered - so we went for early morning swims. Close enough to walk to night markets - about 10 minutes.

The Cabochon Hotel: "fantastic atmosphere"

Review by: Emanuela B | Source: Trip Advisor
Me and My Filippo we spent a 4 fantastic days in the Cabochon Hotel, really familiar atmosphere in a very stylish and classy place. As soon as we arrived we feel the particular hot and friendly character of the persons that manage the hotel. thank you and I hope to get there really soon.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Can’t miss in Siem Reap"

Review by: Andrew W | Source: Trip Advisor
"Happened to stumble on this place after wandering around Siem Reap looking for dinner and was able to be seated without a reservation. That was a stroke of good fortune because this restaurant was exceptional. If you're in Siem Reap, do yourself a favor and visit this establishment. It's pricey for SR standards, but great value for the quality, especially if you're coming from an expensive city. And try the Margarita."

Sandat Glamping Tents: "A unique experience"

Review by: jleung531 | Source: Trip Advisor
"After spending five days at boutique resorts around Ubud, we decided to ""rough it"" a bit at Sandat Glamping Tents. We are so glad we did! The entire experience was one of the most enjoyable and unique stays of our trip. We stayed in one of the tents, which was beautifully constructed in both concept and execution. The tents are solidly built, and a lot of thought clearly went into all of the furnishing and design touches. The private pool overlooking the jungle makes you feel like you're swimming in the wilderness. The experience of spending the night separated from nature by only screens and canvas was a delightful change from staying in big hotels. But for those who prefer a bit more of a buffer from nature, they give you the option to seal off the screen sections at night, and even have air conditioning if it gets too hot. All of the staff were professional and very responsive. The amenities were far more than we expected from a glamping experience, with room service available in our tents, massage services (my wife claims it was the best massage she has ever had), and a restaurant serving lunch, dinner and a buffet breakfast. We wish we had stayed for longer, and definitely will the next time we're in Ubud. The only drawback I would mention is the location, which is well off the beaten path. Though it is still close to Ubud center, the roads to get there are narrow (even by Bali standards) and in terrible condition, such that cars have to crawl for most of the last section and back up if they meet any oncoming traffic. They do offer a free on-demand shuttle service, which is good because our cab driver had some trouble finding the place. We were content to spend most of our time luxuriating in our tent and our private pool, but if you plan on going into town frequently the drive could become a hassle."

Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "One of our best highlights of our Bangkok trip"

Review by: Christine L | Source: Trip Advisor
I'm not usually a cruise fan but one of our Thai friends highly recommended this dinner cruise so we took her word for it and man it was beautiful! The only let down was that it raining and it went dark pretty quickly. Despite that we were very well sheltered from the rain on the cruise and could see the famous Wat Arun and The Grand Palace (just to name a few) as there were lights illuminating the buildings. You can expect the meals to be of fine dining level and authentic (it was as memorable as our fine dining at Issaya Siamese Club). Staff were attentive throughout and the crowd were decent. I'd highly recommend this to anyone visiting Bangkok.

Tugu Malang: "The most wonderful hotel in Indonesia"

Review by: CapitaineKiwi | Source: Trip Advisor
We have stayed in Malang city for a week or two almost every year for 44 years & for the past 22 years we have stayed at Tugu Malang. Not only is Tugu Malang the best hotel in Malang but we maintain that it is the best hotel in Indonesia. The atmosphere, the design, the décor, Pak Anhar's wonderful collection of antiques and artifacts displayed about the hotel, the swimming pool, the bridge over the koi pond with the most beautiful koi fish I have ever seen - the experience never ends. The food at the popular & wonderful Melati Restaurant never fails to satisfy. Fabulous menu, always excellent food and the largest range of Nasi Gorengs in Indonesia. Never miss Nasi Goreng Tugu & Nasi Goreng Bang Samin - my mouth is watering at the memory. We always bring friends & guests to eat at the Melati Restaurant and it appears that many of the travellers who stay at other hotels in Malang also prefer to dine there. The best spa and massage facility is without a doubt at Tugu Malang. Most of all, the wonderful, friendly staff are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. We love being spoilt and pampered at Tugu Malang and would never consider staying anywhere else in Malang. See you again next year.

The River Resort: "Great place to stay."

Review by: Prop1947 | Source: Trip Advisor
"The River Resort lived up to our high expectations. At very short notice we requested our stay to be brought forward by one day and the emails were handled speedily and professionally. All our subsequent requests for services were similarly well handled and in a very friendly manner. The property is of a high standard and although we booked one of the cheapest rooms, its size and fittings were perfect for us. The bed was comfy, the a/c was efficient and Wi-Fi worked well over the whole resort. The restaurant comes in for special mention as it is exceptionally well run. It has a varied well priced menu, the food is beautifully prepared and we would particularly like to highlight Kraemer whose service level is impeccable and would not be out of place in a Four Seasons. A good place to spend a few days."

Arumdalu: "Great honeymoon and vacation!"

Review by: fei_hung21 | Source: Trip Advisor
This was our first -and surely not the last- visit to Arumdalu. Private beach was awesome with white sand and great view. Room was very comfortable for couples, no tv means we had the place for ourselves. Strongly recommended for couples who want to refresh themselves. And maybe a good place for a deep thinking too..

Muang La Resort: "We Will Go Back"

Review by: Caroline D | Source: tripadvisor.com
Set by the river and surrounded by beautiful countryside, this is a lovely place to stop for a few days on a trip round Northern Laos. The resort is extremely well maintained and the staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. The rooms are stylish, well equipped and very clean. The bathrooms are excellent. We went on a couple of trips in the local area while we were there, and although the weather was very wet during our stay, our excellent guide made sure we got the best out of them, which wasn't difficult as the scenery in the area is stunning. As others have said, the food at the resort is very good and the staff, rightly, take a lot of pride in it. In spite of this, they were still very tolerant of of our fussy teenagers and were happy to adapt the five course evening meals to suit them. We organised our transport through the resort, from Luang Prabang and onwards to Luang Namtha. It wasn't cheap, but was well worth it as the road from Luang Prabang to Oudomxai is poor in parts and our driver was excellent. All in all, it's hard to fault this resort, in fact it's quite remarkable to find one of such quality in such an isolated area.

Rachamankha: "My favorite"

Review by: sarahpbucker | Source: Trip Advisor
"My second visit to his wonderful hotel. The rooms are simple and roomy and the building feels like a piece of history. Lovely staff and a great bar. Best gin and tonic in Thailand? The local Thai breakfast option was delicious and interesting. Definitely worth a try as it's so different to what we expect from Western breakfast. Pool is quiet. No kids! Great!"
