Satri House: "Beautiful and Serene"
The Satri House is the perfect hotel to spend a couple of nights in Luang Prabang. Great location to main village and serene environment the pools make it very inviting. Rooms were beautiful Lao decor and the attention to detail was on point. The restaurant menu was good but not much of a selection. We wanted to try the spa but because of a staff shortage they could not accommodate us.Inle Princess Resort: "Wonderful Visit"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Inle Princess. The feel is very rustic; however, the amenities are pure luxury. Wonderful view of the lake and sunsets. I loved the outdoor shower! The staff was very welcoming and attentive as well. It was my birthday during our stay and the staff surprised me with a birthday cake, lovely gift and card to help me celebrate. I was truly touched by their attention to this detail. It made my day! Thank you to the general manager and staff. The lakeside restaurant offered a nice variety and the food was delicious. I am sure you will not be disappointed should you choose this lovely hotel. It was a wonderful experience for my husband and me."Tandjung Sari: "A Lovely Place to Stay"
"The Tandjung Sari at first glance may appear to have been eclipsed by other flashier new hotels along the Sanur Beach. However it is all the things this hotel doesn't tell you on its web page which make it so special. The fantastic collection of Indonesian antiques that adorn this pretty hotel, the attentive staff, the amazing food from the kitchen and the sheer peace and calm would be hard to find anywhere else. The bar is manned by a pair of enthusiastic, fun loving mixologists who are constantly devising new drinks for the guests full of natural fruits (none of your nasty sugar based cordials). The breakfast choices were the finest we had ever had staying anywhere and so generous that you don't want to eat midday. Add to this the gentle patronage of the arts by the hotel's benevolent and kindly managers, which allows local children to practice their traditional dances within one of the bales and to perform for guests and you have a perfect, well priced vacation. This is a vision of old Bali. We will definitely be back. "Dewakan: "Premium quality and services with affordable price"
Came with partner to celebrate my birthday. Very quiet restaurant with limited space - no other diners except for us. Food taste are hit and a little misses. Was not impressed with the appetizers at first, but when the 2nd main came, it was a game changer, albeit a little over seasoned for us. Ends with very delicious desserts. Some may say, good things comes to those who waits. The restaurant manager and his partner has done a very good job explaining the dishes to us. Fully satisfied with their services. Premium quality and services with affordable price.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Dreamy"
"High in the clouds perched on a little mountain near Darjeeling sits the most incredible retreat in all of India. I looked forward to my stay for months, but nothing could have prepared me for just how WONDERFUL this place is. It's probably the closest thing I can imagine to being royalty- such a beautiful example of old colonial splendour, and you are treated like a VIP. I enjoyed the communal dining, where I met lovely people from around the world, and it's pretty special to be able to just go for a guided hike anytime you like- there is always a guide on hand. Though it was mostly cloudy when I stayed, in the mornings the clouds parted and I was lucky enough to get an incredible glimpse of Kachechunga (wow!!) Rates seem expensive, but include so much (transfers, laundry, all food, all hikes, all activities!) that I can't really complain about the price. Everything was of perfect quality. On a side note, I stayed as a solo female, and I felt very comfortable, and my privacy was completely respected. Room Tip: They all have their own charm. Can't go wrong."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Not to be missed"
The greeting at the front door at the beginning of the tour was terrific. The best guide I have ever experienced. The mansion was amazing with its the history the architecture and the family who lived there were well explained by our excellent guide. Looked a wonderful place to stay.. photography allowedSatri House: "Super hôtel"
Great charm and romantic place to stay and visit the beautiful city of Luang Prabang.Personnel very attentive, very good restaurant and intimate well situé.Velo free, but you can also visit any walkVilla Song Saigon: "Luxurious Hotel and Great Chef"
"I've started to miss Villa Song very much. We normally have a weekend there to escape from busy noisy down town, and get relaxing after heavy working days. It was pity that our last asking to stay there on the weekend of 12-13 August was unsuccessful, because ""our"" room 203 was occupied. It made me miss the sunset over the balcony to the river, dinners prepared by Chef Kevin with lots of creative tastes and caring. I really enjoy the room with the big bath room served with nice bathtub, and separate shower, and really comfortable bed under nice temperature. Last of not least, I can tell the foods made by Chef Kevin are the best in town. We can feel his heart on the dishes, his caring for the wine pairing. Kevin and the staff always make us the most warm welcome ambiance. We really feel like home there."Maison Polanka: "Our favourite place ever!"
We have never enjoyed a place to stay - anywhere we have travelled - more than Maison Polanka. This is like staying in someone's home - or the home you might dream about having one day. With large, beautiful gardens and an elegant swimming pool, but only a handful of rooms so it's very peaceful never feels crowded even with other guests around. We also had the best Cambodian food of our trip in their restaurant, which is really just a few tables outside by the pool, but outshone anywhere else we ate. Off menu, they were kind enough to make a special noodle soup (nom banh chok) one day for us for lunch - it was delicious and worth making a special request for (in advance). We stayed in the Khmer House as a treat, and it was beautiful and spacious, though I think anyone would be happy with any of the rooms they have. But the best part of Maison Polanka are the people who work there who are warm, welcoming and willing to help with everything, from tour planning, surprise afternoon cakes by the pool, and a wonderfully memorable trip to the Road 60 night market for a dinner of insects, stuffed frogs and other more familiar foods! Our thanks in particular to Cathy, Chan, and Vong! Don't bother looking anywhere else in Siem Reap, just stay here!David’s Kitchen: "Excellent"
Beautifully appointed decor. Greeted by owner personally, he was extremely attentive. Wait staff was well trained and wonderfully helpful. Food was excellent. In Chaing Mei it is must. Get reservation online before leaving home.
