tugu lombok: "A little bit of paradise”"
"We have just had a 4 night break at this lovely Hotel. It has all of the wow factors and the staff treated us like royalty. It is a wonderful place to have a peaceful break away from the stress of work or city life and highly recommended. A word of warning about travelling to Lombok. Try and get a direct flight. We travelled from Singapore via Jakarta and had to change terminals which was a nightmare. We were given conflicting information about baggage and terminal numbers, which was all very stressful. "Villa Song Saigon: "Personal service"
"This hotel has a small number of rooms compared to big hotels in District 1, so you get personal service. And they do a great job of that. Great spot by the river. Close to the expat area with great restaurants. Stayed March 2017, traveled on business"Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing stay"
"The location is great, the staff is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and the food delicious. We booked a boat trip with a very good driver that although he didn't speak much English, he tailored our trip to avoid those ""shopping houses"" were you feel obliged to buy something. In concluison, Worth the money is you spend!!"Mume: "A great evening, great tastes & ambience"
This is arguably one of Asia's finest restaurants … the a la carte menu is a fusion, at times I felt like at home in Sydney, at times it went to Scandinavia … The ambience is minimalist, dress code casual (loved that aspect), staff friendly and informative; the food we ordered (and most of it shared) was excellent, top marks to the wagyu tartare and ribeye. I read some negative reviews below … I am guessing people were expecting a Chinese banquet for the price. This is quite a different experience, its all about tasting the food, the fresh ingredients and the innovative. We certainly did not leave the restaurant hungry, quite the opposite. If you are a couple like us, choose different starters and mains and try as many as possible. My only objection is the wine list … for a restaurant of this calibre, they should entertain more wines … especially from NZ, Australia (they would go well with the food).Villa Song: "What a wonderful gem of a hotel"
"I stayed in this lovely hotel for three nights and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Let’s start with the property, the Villa is so beautiful and charming. The furnishings are well appointed and the size of the room itself is comfortable and roomy. The bathroom was especially relaxing with everything you would need. The room comes with a complimentary mini-bar that is re-stocked daily and the bed was so comfortable. The grounds are inviting with a super large lap pool and a small but very adequate gym. Start your day with breakfast sitting next to the Saigon River and finish with a cocktail while relaxing next to the river. The staff is superb and very knowledgeable, the manager definitely is of top quality and explains why the staff is the same. They assisted me with booking a tour of the Mekong and I was very satisfied. I will definitely stay at this property on a future visit. If planning a trip to Saigon, definitely stay at the Villa Song as you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you eat as many meals as possible as the it is a gastronomical delight that will leave your palate dancing for days."Reverie Siam: "3rd visit"
We were at the Reverie Siam Resort in November 2014 for the first time, in May 2015 the second time, and now again in October 2015. It is difficult to compare the Reverie Siam Resort with any other of the many hotels in Pai, as this one is so special and different - and it's different to the very good side! The location is great, and so is the environment with a perfect garden and two pools. The real highlight, however, is the Silhouette Bar, it's staff and it's food, and not to forget the wine list which is the most extensive one I have ever seen in Thailand. Although it's only 100 km from our home in Sansai, you drive a felt number of 500 curves, but presently the road is reconstructed, thus in a few months driving there will also be convenient. We will certainly return, hopefully a few more times.....David’s Kitchen: "Another beautiful evening"
The service is spectacular. Table presentation perfect. They could have served anything and one would have been happy. However the food they served was good - very good. Oh - back in Hong Kong planning next tripCuisine Wat Damnak: "Terrific food and lovely service"
"Cuisine Wat Damnak came highly recommended by friends and it truly didn't disappoint! We were fortunate to be warmly greeted by the proprietor chef, Joannès Rivière; a super nice man - and fantastic chef! We had the 6 course tasting menu (there were 2 options) we were able to mix choices from one menu with the other. All dishes, including the amuse bouche, were a great combination of flavours and textures, unquestionably Cambodian in origin but with some subtle execution. Wine list was good and Joannès made a great recommendation of a William Fevre Sauvignon Blanc from Burgundy - highly unusual but a great match to the food. All dishes were top-notch but the Mekong langoustine grilled in cassava leaves were stand out as was the desert; Mango cashew nut crumble, green mango jelly with vanilla and white chocolate cream! Unbelievably great value at US$31 for the 6 course tasting menu, and total bill including the wine and water came to less than $110 , not including optional tip/service. I think a visit to Siem Reap without dining here would be as incomprehensible as coming and not visiting Angkor Wat!"David’s Kitchen: "Best dining in Thailand! One of a kind"
This was by far one of the best meals we ate in Thailand! The cocktails were exceptional, and the food was delicious! More importantly, David was such an interesting man, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet him and hear his story! You will feel special from the moment you step in the place. THIS IS A MUST!Flower Island: "Amazing place"
My boyfriend and I stayed here with two friends for 4 days and it was undoubtedly the most wonderful part of our trip to the Philippines! The staff are so friendly and helpful and the island itself is like paradise. We did some fantastic activities too - a tour of a pearl farm (which was fascinating), snorkelling trips, paddleboarding.. And we saw turtles just off the house beach. The huts are beautiful too and all look out to sea. Truely wonderful - we'd recommend this to anyone either as part of an active holiday or looking to chill out for a few days.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
