Chakrabongse Villas: "A tranquil haven in the middle of Bangkok"
"We stayed for the last night of our Asia tour and wished we had booked for longer. The Villa is a beautiful place in lush tropical gardens on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Diner and breakfast were superb and you really cant beat the view from the dining terrace. The staff were super friendly, making it all in all a lovely end to our trip. I hope their literary weekend was a success as they were all very excited to be hosting it and opening their doors to the general public for the 1st time."Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Supporting the Local Community-True Eco Tourism"
"After spending a week at Golden Buddha, my greatest appreciation of the resort I can't emphasize enough (beyond the seclusion in a mesmerizing natural environment unparalleled in my experiences living in Thailand) is their mission to support the local community with true eco-tourism. I was amazed and overjoyed to learn all of the staff members, from the smiling and friendly faces behind the bar counter to the women working in the kitchen to the maintenance men who wave as you walk by, are all local people from the small fisherman village on the other side of the island. I actually had the opportunity to visit the village, Tey Pey Yoi, through an eco-tour offered by the resort where guests have a chance to learn from local school children the art of batik painting while contributing positively to the community and school as guests. My experience with our tour guide Eak was absolutely AMAZING. His giant genuine smile and his passion and local expertise about the wildlife we saw as we crossed the savannah to reach the village was the highlight of my stay at Golden Buddha (listening to the whistles he knows by heart to communicate with different birds isn't something you easily forget). The village itself is incredibly humble and reflective of a very low standard of living, with stilted one room homes over the water or small concrete houses covered by tin roofs on the sand. While the village way of life is a beautiful culture to witness and set in an awe-inspiring backdrop of local fisherman boats, mangrove trees, and mountains from the mainland, it brings a reality to where Golden Buddha's staff come from, and made even more clear to me the dedication and mission of the resort to train and offer employment opportunities specifically to the inhabitants of the island. They even hire an English intern every season to provide free English language lessons to the staff, an opportunity I can now fully understand after visiting the humble and under-funded school where most of the staff recieved their education. In a competitive tourist industry near places like Phuket and Khao Lak, Golden Buddha is true to the label ""eco-tourism"" by being an integral contributor to the local community. Knowing I am directly helping contribute to the livelihoods of the warm and beaming staff who made my stay so welcome gives me a feeling of pride as a traveler who is intentional about the footprint she leaves behind as a guest in a foreign country."Rahai’i Pangun: "A once in a lifetime experience"
My husband and I took the 3D/2N trip In Tanjung Puting National Park. We found the whole experience to be absolutely incredible. The boat was well equipped and very comfortable, with a spacious deck area fitted with comfortable rattan sofas and chairs. Air conditioned cabins with en-suite facilities made the whole trip very civilised. We ate all meals on board for three days and I was very impressed with the variety of dishes on offer, the quality and the freshness of the ingredients. Freshly squeezed fruit juices were a delight. The food was a good balance of Indonesian and Western dishes (pancakes for breakfast!). Our guide Faisal was very knowledgeable and the entire crew went to great effort to spot wildlife on the banks as we cruised along and stopped the boat so we could get a proper chance to observe at close range. The orangutan feeding stations were busy, but not overly crowded, and the experience of seeing the orangutans swinging in through the trees for their food will stay with me for a very long time. Although this tour is at the higher end of the price range for Tanjung Puting trips I would thoroughly recommend it as great value for money and a wonderfully memorable experience. The personal touch that Gaye puts to make sure clients are happy with their tour shows just what a professionally run company this is.Bali Jiwa Villa: "A dream becomes reality"
"The Bali Jiwa Villas are one of the most beautiful places I ever been. Apart of the beauty of the location - situated in the middle of rice field ( without destroying them ) the Villas are very carefully furnished. The wonderful furnishing taste signs of deep understanding the story of Bali. The charm of this place is simply stunning. Big bathroom ( indoor ad outdoor ), wonderful bed and sheets, enlightened by big windows and the wonderful pool just in front of every villa, very clean and just the way it should be. The staff is amazing and the food is typically balinese - very tasty and home made with a lots of attention. A real place to calm down, to enter in the deep soul of Bali - and a place where service is written in very big big letters.."tugu malang: "Probably The Best Hotel in Malang"
"From the moment we arrive until checking out, this hotel has many touches that makes a guest feel special. They even print a post card with your name on it and put them in the bed before you arrive. One of the best attraction of Tugu Hotel is their art collection. There are so many nice painting, statues and art collection in their gallery. Ia also admire how they select the furniture and design the interior. Tugu Hotel most probably is the best hotel in Malang. They certainly is one of the best in Eastern Java. "Reverie Siam: "Simply the best"
My wife and I drove to pai which was fun and stayed at the reverie for one night and enjoyed it so much we kept extending until we had no choice and had to come home and stayed 4 nights in total. Best hotel I've ever stayed in and can't really find a single negative. Great value and if you waSEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "A sanctuary of Yangon"
If you seek a retreat from the hustles of busy Yangon, Seeds is definitely the place you have to go to. Not only the unique ambience and very friendly & professional staff convinces every visitor, it's the heart that Luzia and Felix invest into every single detail. The chef's creations are beyond wonderful in taste and decoration, Felix's truffle ravioli another heart melting surprise. Don't miss it and enjoy your meal :-)Talabgaon Castle: "Very unique and relaxing"
"My family and I stayed at the castle for three nights and spent Christmas there this year. It was wonderful, and a great place to slow down in between more hectic Indian stops. We entirely enjoyed the brief camel wagon ride to a small and under-visited Indian village. A great stop in between crazy and hectic Jaipur. Breakfast on the terrace and dinner next to the fireplace on the cool December nights were charming. We even had a local music group perform for us on Christmas Eve. It will certainly be a highlight of our time in India. My son even tried the pool even as it was only 50° outside"Inle Princess Resort: "Well-appointed hotel with a sensitivity to its environment"
This hotel manages to provide a high standard of accommodation and service in a simple, rural part of an emerging nation. Our room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable with a gorgeous lake view deck. The hotel's isolated location meant we, unusually, used the restaurant on each of our three night stay and really enjoyed the food. The service in all respects was marvellous. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. The lack of tv and patchy wifi are simply not an issue - the surroundings and potential to tour the lake are what we visited for. It's a beautiful area where tourism is helping a fragile local economy. This hotel tries hard to boost that in a sensitive way.Rachamankha: "Inner city oasis"
"Rachamankha is more than a boutique hotel – it is an architectural master piece and a very comfortable oasis right in the middle of Chiang Mai`s hustle and bustle. The rooms are nicely decorated in a very tasteful mix of antiques from different parts and time periods of the world. Everything has been done in a very comfortable way. Attention to detail is visible all around the grounds. During our 7 night´s stay at the Rachamankha we enjoyed the view to the pool from our room and considering that it is located in the middle of the city it is very quiet during the night. The breakfast at the elegant restaurant consisted of a delicious variety of cooked dishes from the menu and a small buffet. The dinner menu offered a wide range of international and Thai dishes which tasted well but not outstanding. To avoid misunderstandings it would be perfect if the waiters would speak a little bit more English."
