David’s Kitchen: "The Highlight of our Chiang Mai Visit, Excelled Expectations"
We recently visited Thailand and Singapore for 18 days and this wonderful dinner definitely makes it into our top 3 best restaurant experiences. Firstly the venue is a delight and the elegant and contemporary decor was refined and impressed us greatly. Although the three course meal was exceptional as you would expect, it was the wonderful ambience and vibe of the place that so impressed us, as well as the attention to detail. There was a welcome card on our table (which we were permitted to keep) and from the first moment of greeting the wait staff were impressive and so welcoming, showing an interest in us and our travels. The pianist in the background was first class and really added an element of romance. Perhaps the highlight was meeting David Gordon himself. He was incredibly friendly and down to earth, and gave us the time of day which really resonated with us. He even consented to us taking a photograph together. At the conclusion of the meal I was presented with a beautiful red rose and we were sent out by David and his wife. A DK car was on hand to take us back to the hotel, which was also a welcome and special touch. If you're wondering about the food, the pumpkin soup was perhaps the best I've ever had Simply executed and divine flavour. We both enjoyed the signature beef cheeks, and we had to make room for dessert. I can say if you're after an experience where you feel special and valued, and want to be comfortable and pampered DK is the place to go. We have been to many hatted restaurants in Australia, and we think we are qualified to give David and his team 5 stars. If we're ever back again, this will be our first stop.Tugu Lombok: "Paradise"
"This was our second visit to Tugu and it will not be the last, a really quirky set of rooms and villas are really interesting and well laid out. Pools are fantastic and the beautiful white sand beach is just wonderful. Hotel restaurants are wonderful and food is both well presented and extremely tasty with a fantastic local focus on the menu. Spa is very good with the local massage being our personal favourite, very good value. Our only gripe about this hotel is that there is no ATM machine available so I was unable to tip the wonderful staff what they actually deserved instead of what I had in my wallet, as always the welcome you get in any hotel is reliant on the team that are there to look after you and as previously the team at Tugu shone. Thank you for another wonderful stay and we will see you again soon. Mark + Myra"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Holiday perfection"
"This is our second time visiting here and better than ever. The staff and rooms are amazing. The food is the best I have ever tasted and I love Indian food the stability of the Hotel from the manager to the gardeners is wonderful and doesn't change. Anyone who needs to unwind this is the place to do it if you love the beach and the sea you have it in abundance. Room Tip: Pay a little extra and have a sea view room so tranquil"Tugu Malang: "AMAZING place"
Can't say enough.. this place is heaven on earth... The staff, the food, the rooms, the beds, the mysterious interiour. The restaurant is even open for 24/7. I would recomend everyone to go here. FantasticMie Cafe: "The best in Siem Reap"
We had dinner in Mid Cafe on the last day of our trip. As we had many disappointment in the days before, so we had no expectation but this restaurant surprised us. Every dish there were perfectly cooked and flavoured. The restaurant has very nice setting and excellent service! We highly recommend to book a table at this restaurant during the stay in Siem Reap. We hope to come back again!Tugu Malang: "Superb hotel in every way"
"This city-centre hotel is a complete gem. Beautifully designed around 1990 by a wealthy antiques enthusiast, this is a place with very high standards of staff service and enthusiasm. It is a treasure-trove of fascinating period rooms and spaces, crammed with wonderful artefacts of various periods, which the staff are very eager to take you round and explain. The bedrooms are very well thought out to a high spec, and with good wifi. The pool is a very good size, and beautifully lit at night. The breakfasts are of utter blow-out proportions, with great menu choices, though do allow plenty of time as each person's is individually prepared. You get a lovely complimentary afternoon Indonesian 'high tea' on the terrace. The bar is like a connoisseur's wine cellar. And don't forget the in-house bakery, with breads and cakes of the highest quality open till 11pm. If you take the guided tour, the hotel staff will take you round the top-end luxury suites (if not occupied), even though these are probably beyond the wallets of ordinary mortals. Hard to fault in any way. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"The River Resort: "Great place to stay in South of Laos, close to Vat Phong!"
Wow, this is The place to be in the South of Laos! Along the mighty Mekong, great rooms, very friendly staff, good restaurant with a amazing view on the river. Value for money too! Very close to Vat Phong. Highly recommended.Maduzi Hotel: "Actually 6 Stars"
"I feel that normally tripadvisor contributors are too generous with giving away 5 stars. This hotel however, deserves even 6 stars! Good price, very nice and spacious rooms, fantastic kitchen by Japanese chef. Delicious breakfast with many choices you don't see anywhere else. Very nice and attentive staff. Flexible check in / check out times. Free wifi Free minibar and free coffee/tea room service. You rarely see a hotel like this!"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Fantastic"
Seeds has delivered on the whole dining experience. Food, service and atmosphere are all fantastic. It is undoubtedly the only real fine dining experience in Yangon. if you have the chance to meet the proprietors you will understand ho much care and attention to detail went into this beautiful restaurant.Rachamankha: "Our 4th Stay At Rachamankha"
We keep returning because it is that good. Fine antiques throughout, inside and out. A gracious and attentive staff. They are extremely stealth and quiet. The theme is serenity and quiet. Soft jazz and classical music quietly plays in the background. A bouquet of two dozen fresh roses were in our room. Complimentry breakfast is served on fine bone china. No children under 12.
