Inle Princess Resort: "TRADITIONAL AND BEAUTIFUL"
For the more traditional stay this is the place for you. The rooms are adorned in cedar and their is an outdoor shower that is just divine. Tea and coffee making is included and they have great wi fi as long as a storm doesn't interrupt the feed :) . The staff are so courteous and will do anything to make your stay the best possible experience on the lake. The pool is large and the spa is excellent and very reasonable in price.NEELESHWAR HERMITAGE: "Chill-out excellence!"
This was the last venue of a bespoke tour organised by Trailfinders and it was an excellent way to finish a memorable 10 days in Kerala. We stayed 2 days, but 5 would be infinitely preferable! There are two retaurants, one upmarket indoor with a wide menu, but we favoured the beach restaurant, for breakfast and evening meals, specialising in fish and, for our last meal, lobster - fantastic! The service could not be bettered and, even for our short stay, staff recognised and greeted us regularly. We flew from Calicut airport, via Abu Dhaby to UK but its a long drive there. There is a smaller much nearer airport at Mangalore which might be worth looking at. This is a super venue for chilling out with its infinity pool.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "You haven’t lived until you’ve seen this! Absolutely Magical"
"I've traveled on 6 continents, from the South to the North Pole, from luxury cruises to great hotels and guess what: Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris is by far among the very best experiences you can have. The stuff is National Geographic-quality, the food is 100X better than you get in any hotel, and everything is made with love and hard work. You stay in the heart of the jungle, the stars in the sky and torches in the ground guide you through the forest at night, you wake up to the music of tropical birds. This is the place to find your inner peace, your wild heart and remember what life is really about. I will be back soon! See you there!"Tugu Malang: "Classic and Traditional"
"What should I say about my amazing stay in Hotel Tugu Malang? The room was excellent. They even provided us with FREE high tea between 4-6PM and they served very very good Indonesian traditional cakes and desserts. They also gave us 10 minutes complimentary shoulder massage. This hotel is like a monument. They gave us a free tour of the hotel and so we can see different rooms offered. Unfortunately, we stayed only for a night. Definitely recommend this hotel if you go to Malang!! This is the best place to stay."Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "An excellent safari camp near to Sri Lanka’s finest wildlife park"
Outstanding Safari Camp - but please remember this is a CAMP, a safari experience, not a luxury hotel and as such tents in the bush are the order of the day. Nevertheless the camp is well done and maintained. The food was excellent and plentiful, mostly Sri Lankan cuisine. Noel and his partner Cecile are excellent hosts and his team of camp managers, cooks and guides are very professional and accommodating. The safari guides are extremely good, highly knowledgable and ethical in their wildlife policies. The safari vehicles are well appointed, up-to-date 4x4's - all important to me as a professional wildlife photographer. Yala National Park itself is just a short drive away from the camp, (at the time of my visit, camps and lodges are not permitted in the park itself) great wildlife encounters are frequent and the varied landscapes are stunning. Noel Rodrigo's is perhaps a little more expensive than the other camps, hotels and wildlife tours I saw out there, but for the personal attention, quality of the camp, vehicles, guides, food and service.... it is certainly worth it.David’s Kitchen: "A True Chiang Mai Treasure"
"On our first night in Chiang Mai, we wanted to start our stay here with a nice dinner, and after reading all of the wonderful reviews, we decided there would be no better place than David's Kitchen. Our experience not only met our expectations, but exceeded them. When we first sat down, David came to our table and was more than kind and welcoming. The staff paid such close attention to detail and with their superb service, it made our dining experience unforgettable. There was never a moment we were left unattended. The pumpkin soup and the raw salmon with cucumber salad was absolutely delicious and I definitely recommend those as starters. Then, I ordered the Beef Cheek as my main course and it was magical; a true culinary experience for anyone who has a passion and appreciation for food. You could feel the chef's heart and soul in every dish. Then, as if it couldn't get any better, we were talking to David again, telling him how much I love to cook and that's when he invited my whole family to the kitchen to meet Chef O. The Chef and his team gave us a warm welcome and took a picture with my family. Overall, the experience we had here was an utter treat and one we will never forget. Thank you David and Co. for an amazing night filled with impeccable service and food. Anyone who is staying in Chiang Mai should not leave without getting the pleasure of visiting this Chiang Mai treasure. Sincerely, Alina Aslanian & Family"Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Safari"
We were at the camp sit for a night in a tent and we had a safari. It was a greath journey. The hole set up was amazing and the guides really know a lot about wildlife. The food is delicious and the nature is wonderful.Sandat Glamping Tents: "Loved it!"
My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves and try glamping. We absolutely loved it! We stayed in a rice hut (Barong) and it was amazing. Staff were really friendly and always happy to help. Although the location is a little far out, the shuttle service acted like a personal driver for us! The road leading to Sandat was a little bumpy, but not a big issue at all. Breakfast was great as well. The whole experience was lovely and the quiet of the surrounding rice fields really made out stay more relaxing. The only drawback would be the wifi which was a little temperamental.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Very educational and interesting"
"Joined one of three conducted tours of the mansion available. The guide, Ben is simply the best I have ever come across. He speaks very well. Very informative and interesting background stories relating to the life of Cheong Fatt Tze and the life of others living in this mansion before it becomes what it is today. Worth every second of the two hours spent there. Could have been even better if more artifacts of the early days are on display. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Kinabalu Park: "A Paradise up in the hills"
My cousin and I stayed at one of the units in Nepenthes Lodges managed by Sutera Sanctuary Lodges. The lodges are located right in the heart of the Unesco World Heritage Site. We had the luxury of a two storey lodge with two bed rooms, a balcony, a nice sitting room with a fire place and a kitchen. The place is well run. I would like to commend the manager, Alvina, who was very concerned about us after we checked in, as it was raining heavily. She made sure that our small requests, including room service, were met with great efficiency. From the lodge, we could see Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Southeast Asia, and misty rain forest around us. It was so relaxing staying in the lodge and taking cool walks to see the flora and fauna in a natural setting. Temperature at this 5,200ft highland was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciate the good service.
