The Twelve Hotel: "Très bonne étape"
"Très bon accueil et très bel établissement! Rafraîchissement à l'arrivée, gentillesse et disponibilité en sus! Petit déjeuner extra (baguette, confiture de fruits de la passion et jolie salle) Enjoy"Manukan Island Resort: "Lazy days on the beach"
For the past few days in Sabah we wanted us to relax a bit and chose the nearby island of KK Manukan. Arrival / Room: Already at the pier we were surprised: by private email boat we were taken to the island. Us a cool water was also pressed into his hand the same. On the island you received us very friendly with a cool cloth and a tea / drink. Although we arrived already at 11 am, we moved into our beach villa same. We were told everything and there were apples ready and refrigerate soft drinks and replenished daily free water. Our Beach Villa was the first one up front at the reception and on the way, but the fact that we were on the first floor, the day visitors did not bother us. The room and the bathroom are really very nice, clean and large. It is anything useful present: flip-flops, flip-flops for outdoors, beach towels, shampoo, shower gel, a comb, a toothbrush, etc. The TV has some channels in English. The WiFi does so about 50% of the time works, and if so, then the connection was good. But since I do not know that there is absolutely WiFi, I was pleasantly surprised anyway. Beach: The private beach is very nice, the chairs and umbrellas are great. With us rarely strayed days Visitors on our beach and were usually relatively quickly pointed out by the staff that they are here only allows guests. In the water was only now and then someone Resort stranger. (But was apparently just not much going on). The hammocks were also very comfortable. Unfortunately, on the first two days, a bit much trash on the beach, and although actually some employees were traveling, was not collected the. But from the third day it was all super clean. Convenient to all Villa Beach residents might still be a shower or locker room at the private beach, one could go swimming on the last day even after checking out. but otherwise it is not far to the room, so do not disturb it. Since the seabed is very sandy, the water is not always clear, especially if it is something stormy. However, I found the snorkeling better than expected. You see a lot of fish and a few living coral there still. Restaurant: The breakfast was amazing. One can choose from 6 different dishes as much as you want but until you come to order, you already have fruit, yogurt, milk, cereal, bread, jams are at the table. as we were a few days there, we tried almost everything and it was all very good. The dinner was also very good, but the selection was not quite as big. The live music was not bad, but I found it funny when they are directly at the table, but the Asian tourists found the apparently quite cool. The prices of local I found okay, I had feared worse. The cocktails were not bad either. Other: there are from the infrastructure all it takes, there are two souvenir shops that sell snacks, drinks and ice cream, three restaurants (during the day), and a rental for lifejackets / snorkel / etc, you can book some tours on Downbelow. and the resort also offers a few specials on (dinner on the beach, BBQ, picnic basket, ...) All in all, we liked it really well on Manukan. The day trippers not really bother us, but it is also pretty cool, if you have the island from late afternoon almost alone for themselves. For us it was exactly what we had imagined. We did not want to be so far away from KK, a beautiful beach and a nice room, have to go a little snorkeling and walk a little. Those who place more emphasis on marine life, should perhaps rather long way from KK (eg Mantanani Iceland or, probably best to Semporna). But we have felt very comfortable and special and can highly recommend it. Which is a shame (for which the resort but nothing can), the many garbage which is not only washed ashore from the sea, but is mainly caused by the day trippers. People throw everything away easily or leave it. In addition, an extra is that one should not use plastic bags in the shops but they are used for all sorts of things. The Village House: "Tranquil"
"If you're looking for bright lights, loud music and alcohol till dawn forget the Village House!!!. If on the other hand you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from all the hustle and bustle this is the place. We spent 3 days here and it was amazing. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. Rooms kept spotless and food very very good. Yes its off the beaten track and the beach is different, not that good for swimming and very hot with no shade, but once back in the Village jump in the pool...problem solved!!!! Would we stay here again....most definitely. Thanks to all concerned for making out stay a good one. Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the pool."Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful Property and Elegant Rooms"
"Villa Song is a boutique hotel situated in a quieter part of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) overlooking the Saigon River. We stayed in the Sanctuary Suite, which consisted of three rooms: a sitting area with a fully stocked mini bar, kettle for tea making, a Nespresso machine (unfortunately no decaf pods), and a small couch; a bedroom with a very comfortable bed and fine, soft sheets, and a very large balcony overlooking the outside dining area and the river; an enormous bathroom with two sinks, a shower, and a large soaking tub and a closet with a safe. The floors in the main rooms are a dark wood. Each room, the sitting area and bedroom, has its own air conditioner. The hotel itself is beautiful. It looks very unassuming when you first drive up and walk through the solarium like area to get into the lobby. Once you walk into the lobby you will realize that you've walked into a special place. The hotel is a combination of bright white ceilings and dark wood floors; there's outside and inside dining areas, a pool, a spa and a gym. It's not a large resort like property, it's small and intimate, but has everything you need. Others have mentioned the water shuttle, which we did not use because we had set up some private tours. Given the traffic in Saigon, we would have used it if we weren't touring. The staff is gracious and helpful. Our flight out of Ho Chi Minh City was very early in the morning, and the woman at the desk had the kitchen staff prepare a ""to-go"" breakfast for us. We were grateful for the thoughtfulness. We happened to be there on the weekend. On Saturday night, the property hosted a wedding. The hotel management offered to pay round trip cab fare if you wanted to dine off the property. We chose to order room service, sit on our balcony, and watch the wedding. But their offer for round trip cab fare is a good example of how customer service oriented the hotel is. Breakfast was included in our room charge. They offer the traditional American type breakfasts with eggs, French toast, pancakes etc, along with Asian fare. We ate dinner one night at the hotel; my braised beef ravioli (an appetizer I had as a main course) was very good and the pasta was homemade. I added a pea soup as a starter; the soup was puréed and came with chopped shrimp nestled on the top of the soup. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the water, which I'd recommend. (We were surprised that there were no bugs.) It was fun to sit out there under the palm trees watching the traffic on the river float by. Two drawbacks--there's no elevator, at least I didn't see one, which wasn't a problem for us, but it might be for people who have difficulty climbing stairs, beautiful dark wood staircases, mind you, but stairs nonetheless. (I think the hotel only has three floors.) And the property next door is a bit noisy with karaoke signing in the evening. Our tour guide told us that karaoke is very popular in Viet Nam. While it didn't last past ten p.m., and it's not something under Villa Song's control, it was loud at times. The hotel is expensive, and you get what you pay for--excellent service, elegant rooms, and a top-notch experience."Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "One of our best highlights of our Bangkok trip"
I'm not usually a cruise fan but one of our Thai friends highly recommended this dinner cruise so we took her word for it and man it was beautiful! The only let down was that it raining and it went dark pretty quickly. Despite that we were very well sheltered from the rain on the cruise and could see the famous Wat Arun and The Grand Palace (just to name a few) as there were lights illuminating the buildings. You can expect the meals to be of fine dining level and authentic (it was as memorable as our fine dining at Issaya Siamese Club). Staff were attentive throughout and the crowd were decent. I'd highly recommend this to anyone visiting Bangkok.Supanniga Eating Room: "Amazing traditional Thai cusine"
Here you can find some traditional Thai dishes. I enjoyed the Khao Krieb Nam Jim which is a steamed flat rice noodles with a spicy shrimp dressing. Good cocktails to accompany the great food.Talabgaon Castle: "Nice hotel with AMAZING hospitality"
"Well, it was a long weekend break, and the wife and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to do 2 things - 1. Visit Bhangarh Fort - which is rated the most haunted place in India 2. Unwind and do practically nothing - as our work schedules are quite hectic On our way from Gurgaon, we covered Bhangarh Fort which is little detour off the route to Lalsot, then carried onto our final destination - Talabgaon Heritage Resort. The road till Lalsot Via Manoharpur - Dausa is quite good, with less traffic and we managed to cover the 290 Kms in about 5 hours. However, on the way back we took the Alwar route, road again is very good however the traffic on this road is more, hence took about 6 hours to reach. The resort is well off the grid, so basically nothing to do but relax at the hotel once there. This is made easy by the fact that the property is quite huge, very well maintained, the staff is ever so polite and eager to help, cleanliness is well taken care of and the food is simply AWESOME !! Dinner was by the pool side both nights, which was a nice arrangement with an army of staff standing by to force feed you :) Mr Narindra Mitra, the GM at the hotel, definitely deserves special mention for making sure we have a pleasant stay and managing the entire hotel/staff so well. Will definitely visit here during my next road trip maybe later this year. Couple of things which readers should be aware of while visiting the place - 1. There is no 4G/3G here for sure, so forget your laptop/ iPad at home and maybe tell the Airtel woman to come down here and do her crappy advertisement :) 2. Wi-Fi wasn't working throughout our stay due to some issue 3. Pool isn't really something to write home about and can be best avoided (The Management should make an investment and get this fixed)"Villa Song Saigon: "Elegant hotel on the Saigon River"
"We stayed a couple of nights at this hotel and it is really special. Right on the Saigon River and in District 2 of Ho Chin Minh. The service was really good and the location is perfect. You can catch the hotel boat shuttle directly to the main district 1 if required. The area around the hotel is quiet and we found some really nice restaurants. This hotel is number one on trip advisor for a reason. "Supanniga Eating Room: "Great food with a unique dish"
Ate with a group of work colleagues and was Super impressed. There is deep fried catfish which comes out like popcorn. To die for. Also all the usual great Thai dishes. Well worth it for great local foodSANAK RETREAT BALI: "The Best place I have ever stayed and i travel a lot"
