The Cabochon Hotel: "Home away from home"
We loved staying at the hotel, it felt like a home away from home. We were three generations staying there, and we enjoyed it immensely. The staff is professional, accommodating and very welcoming. We will absolutely return.Rachamankha: "A true oasis in the old city"
"A beautiful hotel, going into the hotel grounds means truly leaving the city behind, in a lot of ways it is a world of its own, so peaceful. The pool is wonderful, pictures don't do it justice. The staff are so friendly and provide excellent service. Breakfast was amazing. We had diner at the restaurant one night (we did want to experience something of the outside Chiang Mia on the other nights!) and it was wonderful and excellent value for a restaurant of this quality. I would definitely be wanting to say here again if we get back to Chiang Mia. At first we found it difficult to find our way walking to central Chiang Mia given the entrance is off what seems like a series of lanes. We found the best was to walk across one road and into what is the back entrance of the largest temple in Chiang Mia. Walking through the temple grounds and out the front entrance helped get our bearings for the location of the hotel. The hotel is a fair way from the night markets (about a 30~40 minute walk) although transport is cheap and easy to find if you don't want to walk, of course the hotel can book a taxi, or go the front of the temple or out to the cannel to find a way tuk tuk."The River Resort: "Awesome place"
i loved the place. i can remember thinking while we were out touring that i could not wait to get back to the resort and take one of their outdoor showers. Southern lao is beautiful but a bit dusty. i would definitely go back.Mathis Retreat: "Excellent Rice Paddy Retreat – With the Family"
"We were looking for a secluded spot near Ubud, but not in the heart of the action and that was good for families. We have two small children (infant and 2 year old). The Matthis retreat was perfect for us. It was a quick taxi ride to downtown Ubud OR a long walk. The rooms were excellent for 3 adults and two young children. Pool was nice a cool and deep! My daughter loved to walk out along the rice paddy's and look at the ducks! Room Tip: Our room did not have a view, but there was a section that did."The Cabochon Hotel: "Cute and quiet hideaway in Bangkok"
Super friendly and helpful staff, a gorgeous old style building creaking with history in a peaceful soi just off sukhumvit, the Cabochon gives you all you need for a stay in this hectic city. From its handy location near to the BTS to its deserted rooftop pool this hotel delivers. Breakfast is good (although personally I always like to see some Bircher muesli on offer!). We slept wonderfully here, it's quiet and the beds are comfortable.Slow Villas and Spa: "Worth it for the breakfast alone"
On a small island where there is so much choice it's hard to know where to choose. Slow Villas stood out for us because of the individual service and a taste of luxury they promised. The villas are full of everything you need, the outside/inside bathrooms are decorated to a high standard with stunning features and free toiletries. The pools are small but fine for two people to cool off in and the gardens are clean and well cared for. Breakfast was a real highlight which is served in your villa and was wonderfully fresh, colourful and plenty of choice. I also tried the spa which was extremely relaxing and well worth a visit if you have time! I didn't want to leave and hope I'll be back.Mathis Retreat: "Great views, great staff, great stay"
"Spent 5 nights here with our two kids (aged 2.5 and 9months) and thoroughly recommend it. Spacious rooms, beautiful views overlooking the rice fields, great pool, good food. Far enough away from downtown Ubud, but close enough to get there when needed. Staff couldn't have been nicer, and were more than happy to whisk our kids away to play - allowing us to relax at the end of meals. Thoroughly recommended. "Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "A little slice of heaven in bustling Bangkok"
A small hotel providing 2 and 3 bedroom self catering apartments, appropriate for small families. Very friendly staff and very good service. Located close to shopping facilities and the BTS train services.Tugu Lombok: "Fantastic"
"This has to be one of the best places we have ever been. So relaxing & looked after with great surroundings with also plenty of things to do with the kids. That is what a holiday is all about. The beach is so clear and perfect for kids as is not too deep! The architecture in this resort is breathtaking and the rooms are luxuries. When you walk in you will be amazed! Plus the food is very good, love the breakfast and everything is so fresh! We will be back! Stayed January 2017, traveled with family"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Delicious food and friendly service"
I was only my way to another restaurant but i stopped by and checked it out as i saw this on tripadvisor. While i was looking on my phone on the tripadvisor review, the owner came out and said i shouldnt be standing on the road as its dangerous. He invited me in to look at the menu and i decided to stay for dinner. There were two set menus with 5 or 6 course and they are very delicious and value for money (US 27/31). The duck pancake was particularly delicious. I asked to switch some dishes from the other menu and they were happy to accommodate. Wine was only US 4 per glass. Service was good and the decor was lovely. The owner will also come and present some fruit as well as chatting with you after your meal. Id have to pay more than US 100 a meal like this. Highly recommended.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
