Cheong Fatt Tze - Blue Mansion is an amazing place to stay. The mansion is beautiful, and very well restored. It is fantastic to stay in such an historic building; you feel back in time. Everything you could ever want from a resort like this. Spacious, luxurious rooms, quiet peaceful atmosphere, attentive yet unintrusive staff, on the beach, great food, great tropical cocktails, good selection of well organised, safe, and secure activities arranged with but a word to front desk (we had a particularly good among well informed driver called Danny for our trip to the waterfall), AC rooms, snorkeling lovely coral off the beach, and a wonderful selection of towel animals (you'll see what I mean).4 rivers: "Best floating paradise"
We have just left 4 rivers today and were very sad to leave. We had the most amazing time and everything about the experience was excellent. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. The service is excellent. The setting is beautiful and peaceful and all facilities that you would expect on a floating camp are available. The meals offered are that of a 5 star experience, wonderful food, amazing presentation and served professionally. The day trips and guides were also fantastic. Make sure you go on the fire fly boat trip just 20mins and it's free plus you're back in time for dinner. You MUST visit this camp and experience it yourselves.satri house: "A jewel"
Lovely colonial property with modern facilities. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Interesting rooms and common areas with beautiful antiques. "Seadance Resort manages that very special skill of enhancing a naturally beautiful area with its presence. The layout of the resort takes full advantage of the tropical greenery both inside and outside the buildings and whilst the grounds are well tended it is not manicured and artificial but a natural infinity and flow that brings you down to the ocean's edge. When you meet Poy who established Sea Dance it all makes sense. His pride and thoughtfulness shine through and new staff like Faith all add something to this very special place. We stayed for 7 days and our normal style is to explore the area and discover places to eat. The fact we only ate out once is testament to the great food and we ate from the Thai menu exclusively. "Boarded the Bassac at Cai Be, a well organised tour, food excellent, the varying scenery of the Mekong terrain makes you wonder how any army (even the USA) would even consider trying to subdue the residents. "The Island Lodge is spectacular. Set in a stunning location on the edge of the Mekong River, the hotel boasts beautiful SE Asian design & decor, plus food & drink to delight even discriminating travelers. The dining and pool area overlook the river with views that are mesmerizing. There is a lovely spa treatment facility and all this, less than 2 hours from Saigon. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and it was the best place we stayed at while in Thailand. It is centrally located to many city attractions and it is within walking distance to several spas, restaurants, etc. The hotel grounds are meticulously maintained and it has a magical feel to it while you stroll through the various buildings. The breakfast is very nicely done and there is a patio so you can enjoy your meal on the terrace. The rooms have more of antique feel with a modern twist - lots of nice amenities including a canopy bed, Molton Brown products, and good A/C. The only challenge I had during my stay in Chiang Main was that I got a lot of bug bites - please note the hotel also provides free bug spray so don't forget to use this religiously if you are prone to bug bites (I made the mistake of going without it for a couple of days). I would highly recommend this hotel to others who go to Chiang Mai...you won't be disappointed!Dewakan: "Great local ingredients Fusion"
I have mistaken the this restaurant with another similar restaurant in Cyberjaya Malaysia. Please do disregard the other restaurant I wrote a review on Al Diwan. The review for this restaurant is great as mentioned the Masterchef Australia judges should try this place of marrying local ingredients to western flavour. Great degustation menu . Great place to visit.
