Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful, a true gem in Saigon"
"Stayed here for 5 nights and its absolutely wonderful. Excellent friendly service. I would however warn guests to steer clear of room 101 or 102.... dreadful smell in room and low roof which I found difficult being claustrophobic. Loved the breakfast being available when it suits the customer! Would definitely return and stay here but not in the above rooms mentioned!!!"Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Bucket list experience – a must do."
"We recently spend 2 nights at Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safari on the absolute edge of Yala. (The park is across the road) This experience was fantastic from start to finish in every way. Prior to arrival staff were in contact with our driver in Sri Lanka to ensure our meeting point and timing was coordinated with safari staff. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and immediately given a guided tour of the camp. Lunch was served not long after our arrival and it heralded a standard that continued for the 2 days we were there. We had been to 4 different resorts/hotels prior to Leopard safaris and the food here was up there with the best. Fresh, locally produced, plentiful and absolutely delicious. The accommodation was amazing. Definitely glamping. Service was at all times en pointe. The safaris themselves were amazing. Having waited most of my life for an experience like this I was not disappointed. Our guides Sam and Praneeth were enthusiastic, passionate, experienced and very knowledgeable. We were able to see (with luck, patience and their guiding) leopards, sloth bears, incredible bird life, elephants, crocs, mongoose and much more. This was definitely a highlight of our three weeks in Sri Lanka. Many thanks to all staff who made this trip so memorable."Reverie Siam: "Top hotel"
Fabulous rooms. Fabulous staff. Great food. Fun town. We stayed 4 nights and couldn't believe our luck. Sumptuous breakfasts fantastic shuttle to town anytime. Nice swimming pool. Beautiful room and bathroom all with scenic views Reverie is almost certainly the besthotel in Pai4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Tranquil paradise and amazing service!"
We had the pleasure of staying at 4 rivers for 3 nights in January and it was amazing! The location was perfect, so peaceful and calm with interesting day trips nearby. The service from booking to checking out was flawless, Ana was a pleasure to deal with and she has trained her staff to a great standard and they were always at hand to make our stay as perfect as possible. The guys who took us out for the day trips were wonderful and knowledgable we enjoyed both the waterfall and trip to the local school and mangroves. I would highly recommend them whilst you stay there. The room was very spacious and clean and had everything we needed in it, we loved lazing on the loungers at the front watching the river. The food was lovely and the prices reasonable. I would highly recommend booking 4 rivers not only for their service but to help all the great work they Are doing in the area. I would also recommend staying 2 nights or more to make the most of the area and beautiful surroundings. Thanks again for being a wonderful highlight of our trip in Cambodia!Tugu Bali: "Best of Bali"
"We are staying at Tugu Bali at present, and it is beautiful. We visit Bali often for family reasons, have stayed in lots of hotels and villas, but now I think we will look no further than Tugu for future visits. What took us so long?"Mrauk U Princess Resort: "a remote gem of Myanmar"
"This little secret retreat is not easy to find... but the the cruise to access, the service at the property and the discovery around Mrauk U are exceptional. A truly unique destination. I recommend to take the cruise on Mrauk Oo Princess boat, as it is an experience in itself. The lunch on board and the views all the were surprising. The hotel has also a floating swimming pool in the middle of a lotus pond and about 20 bungalows in a vast garden. one suggestion: develop the river side, with a deck (maybe a lounge) to enjoy the river even more"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Second time incredible stay"
"We visited this lodge for the first time in 2012 and were so blown away by it's most loveliest and most competent staff, stunning location, wonderful food and wide range of acticities. In fact, everything was amazing. So, we decided to return. No doubt at all! And this place managed to blow us away again! Even after all the difficulties they faced since the earthquakes of 2015. We especially loved and still love the day hikes with, our now dear friend, Hari Bhandari. His knowledge of local people and culture, birds, plants, flowers, trees, butterflies etc. is impressive. Combine this with his modest, respectful and calm personality and you'll have the perfect guide. We will be back for sure!! Dear Marcus, Hari and all the staff members: thanks a million for another unforgettable stay!! Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Reverie Siam: "Honeymoon"
"My wife and I stayed at this hotel when visiting Pai for 2 nights. The service was brilliant as were the rooms. The facilities were great. 2 nice pool areas and the resteraunt alone is well worth a visit. We ate dinner there one night which was reasonably priced. We went for the tapas which was delicious however on the second night we sampled street food on walking street where there are many food vendors and nice little hippie bars where we sampled drinks and cocktails which were good too. The Main Street in Pai is in walking distance from hotel around 10 mins however the hotel offer free transport in a tuk tuk too and from the hotel. We wouldn't hesitate to use the hotel again if we returned to Pai However there are many stray dogs around Pai but don't be alarmed. They barked a bit but seemed to stay away and let you be "Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "The best"
We stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. The individual room is beautifully design and has their own little balcony. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The reception has a great library. It is good to know you are supporting the local community as well. One of the drawback is that given it is so ecofriendly, we kept hearing noises from various animal on our roof which disturb our sleep a little bit.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A Unique Experience"
"We chose this ""add on"" to our small group Saga tour of India and Nepal. It turned out to be the best possible decision. It is difficult to write about without overdoing the superlatives. So I will attempt to reign myself in. In a way it was the very best kind of late fifties/early sixties time warp. Style, grace and comfort, fine dining without the affectation that can spoil simple first class food. As much as possible was home grown and home made. The jams and marmalades just delicious on freshly baked bread. Nothing was wasted, it was an excellent lesson in green, sustainable tourism. Days ended with sundowners in front of a roaring fire. The chef was also kind enough to show me how to prepare one of the very tasty appetisers we enjoyed with our drinks. As we happened to be the only guests for dinner on our last evening we were treated to a table set in the small dining area in front of a log fire. We had five courses all freshly cooked and prepared right down to the final tiny crispy granola bars with coffee. We did enjoy a short walk to meet some of the locals and a great bird watching lesson from Harri.. I intend to start a new hobby now! There was plenty to do but nothing was forced on us. We were really tired after a strenuous tour and mainly wanted to enjoy the peace reading outside in sunshine, and have wonderful food....with choice between continental or local,,,, then tuck up in an enormous bed with hot water bottles at the end of each perfect day. We had three such days and were very sad to leave. Thank you Marcus and please thank your amazing staff."
