Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "WOW Amazing and Stunning"

"The beautiful amazing and stunning Blue Mansion is a dream come true. It really is a dream location to stay in and a great honour to have been able to reside here for only 1 night (which was not enough). We got there late and was greeted by Shiro. Shiro is a great host and always smiling and happy to help you with everything. She has knowledge of the Mansion and where to go out in the local area. The Mansion is stunning where ever you look you have a view which is jaw dropping! We stayed in the room ""The Old Kitchen"" which still has the old large stove as a centre piece in the room covered in glass to protect it. The room has its own has its own Jacuzzi which is beautifully lit and tiled. The shower here is stunning. Old fashioned but modern and powerful with various settings. The room is large and open planned with amazing woodwork and large shutters. You can imagine Cheong Fatt Tze walking around his mansion. This place still has a very strong presence of him. Breakfast is great and again the setting is just awe inspiring! Thank you to Ms Seng RouHan for your help with our booking. The tour completed the experience. If you have time take the tour which is included for paying guests. I would like to stay here longer in future but I would find it very hard to leave if I stayed too long as this place is just simply heaven. Thank you Blue Mansion. Tugu Malang: "Tempo Doeloe feeling"

The hotel is a mixture of luxury and history. The rooms give a feel of the "good" (only for the Dutch) colonial old times, with the hand hammered baths. And the whole atmosphere is the hotel is friendly and service minded. The for is excellent and the hotel itself has a fantastic mix of antiquities within its walls (Chinese (most), Dutch and Indonesian. It was a pleasure going to the rooms with my 17 year old daughter and see her recognize drawings and pictures of Kublai Kahn and Sun Yat Sen. Great hotel.

Supanniga Eating Room: "Great Thai food, not great street food but delicious nonetheless"

We stop by for dinner every year here and are never disappointed. It’s a nice looking restaurant lively and well designed. Staff is courteous friendly and takes care of the customers. Food is delicious, clean (no msg), served quickly. Prices are ok, plates are small so order a lot. We ordered a crab prik thai dish ( most expensive item on the menu (600 baht)) and it was fantastic. See you next year

Villa Song Saigon: "A Perfect End to a Vacation"

Often at the end of a trip, I return home needing a real vacation. However, after a month of travel from Hanoi to Saigon, a three-day stay at the Villa Song was the ideal way to savor the Vietnam experience. The natural beauty of the surroundings is enhanced by the attention to detail in the selection of furnishings and finishes in the rooms and public spaces. I grudgingly left the domed parlor room on my art suite to enjoy meals at the waterside restaurant. Most important, however, is the air of serenity reinforced by Yega (the manager), whose inherent calm manner and desire to please made this the perfect end to a vacation.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Good food. Nice breezy balcony"

The food and beer was good. It was a spacious getaway from the crowded streets. Get their salads. Sit on the balcony at sunset

The Cabochon Hotel: "Counting the days until I can go back"

If you're reading through these reviews then I think you have already made up your mind to stay here. And you are making the right decision!! This has to be the best little boutique hotel to stay in Bangkok. The service is 5 star and the decor of the hotel makes you want to fully unpack and call it your new home. When I go back, I will make sure I stay a whole week. 2 nights was so short that I almost cried leaving. Do not miss the restaurant! I wish we had had more than one dinner there. Absolutely amazing and smaller plates so you can try a lot! Thank you Cabochon! Cheers to the next gin and tonic on the secret garden on the garage rooftop!

Slow Villas and Spa: "Love This Villa so much"

Staying here for few days before heading back to Yogyakarta with Motorbike. I love this villa so much! ♡ The room is clean ♡ The WiFi is fast ♡ Open Air bathroom with Hot & Cold Water ♡ Small Pool ♡ Good Breakfast

Manda De Laos: "Make a reservation!"

Rarely will I opt for a set menu, but here it was so worth it. So nice to try all the different offerings. Service was wonderful and wine selection was good. Romantic setting but also appropriate for friends who just want to have a nice relaxed setting.

Arumdalu: "Lovely place, environment and food"

Without hesitation, the best place to stay in Belitung. The room is very cozy and beautifully designed. The surroundings also increase the holiday mood, which is really relaxing. Last but not least, they provide excellent food.

Manukan Island Resort: "10 idyllic days in paradise"

"Hillside villas: fantastic, bright, airy, separate bedroom and lounge, satellite tv incl movies, huge bathroom with waterfall tap over bath, good warm showers, lovely little touches like slippers, bathrobes, 2 complimentary waters, 2 cokes, and 2 sprites per day. For cheaper and no steps the beach suites are newly renovated, very nice, a couple of minutes walk from the private beach area, 5 minutes walk max from restaurant, view nice but is on edge of busy public beach. Wi-fi was assigned to each room and worked all the time for me. 27 rooms/villas total now. Beach: We stayed on private beach for 10 days - wow! Gorgeous, soft white sand and lovely warm sea, palm trees full of coconuts, views of the rainforest, sunsets, monitor lizard takes a nightly swim. The beach is cleaned immaculately daily. But the seabed does need to be cleaned more from odd bits of rubbish - we mentioned to Ben, the Manager, who is talking with Sabah Parks about it. It did NOT put us off sea swimming. Facilities: huge varied breakfast outside with fans, we had all meals outside with fans - perfect, even on the beach! 16 choices on the menu but Joey the chef made a different vegetarian menu for me every night, at a very good price, our maximum bills were 65MR pp for huge buffet , most meals were less than this, even with starters. We spent under £300 for the 10 nights on food and drink! A bargain. Alcohol expensive, as per Borneo. This is indicative of the personalised service at Manukan - everything is possible, just ask! Quiet bar, pool area very quiet but nice, small parties come for an evening meal from the mainland some nights. 3 piece acoustic & bass band serenade you every night too. Staff: EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Friendly, not intrusive, really care about all the clients and their happiness. Small and informal with very high standards of cleanliness and service. Thank you Ben, Welther, Joey, Sabre, Frederick, Yazid, Shima, Jessica, the new Mazilla, Nora, the band,.... The monitor lizards are safe and lovely to watch, hardly any spiders at all, but we used lots of deet against the mosquitoes (not too bad) and sand flies. There are mosquito plug-ins in the villa and a coil is lit at the evening turn-down service so you can continue to sit on the balcony at night. Things to do: we went on a day trip to Kota Kinabalu to see the City Mosque and do some shopping in one of the malls. Management and reception will arrange a boat at a good price 65 mr pp return (£13) or you can use the public one, slightly cheaper. It is only 10 minutes. From Manukan - There are watersports - thankfully they go offshore so it is not noisy, the sea-walking looked amazing, trips to other islands, snorkelling trips (there are not many fish jsut off the beach in comparison to the Maldives but other guests said the 3 island trip was good for fish). Cafe and shop run independently too if you need, but Manukan also sells the necessities, toiletries, drinks, crisps, beer in their shop too. A longer stay, 10 nights, allowed us to really appreciate this island. We had been to Sepilok Sanctuaries and also Turtle island before and were glad to have such peace in magical surroundings.
