De réelles vacances, pas une machine a’ touristes"
"We got bored to go to the vietnamese seaside for 20 years. Jam, crowd, noise,.... I decided to shoot to another direction within close range from HCMC, possibly with another type of landscape. We pinged on My Tho and the Island Lodge Resort. Very narrow road leading to a car parking. Good or bad news, cars cannot reach the resort. An electric golf cart picked us up. They had a room for driver at the car parking for cheap including a meal. We arrived in this green resort and got welcomed by the owner. Lobby and restaurant were nice, spacey and very well ventilated. We never felt too hot. Wind helped too. Decoration was simple but very nice with a family historical touch amd view on the Mekong. We went to our bungalow. Again, simple but very nice. Very green environment. Quite. No noisy tourists. Definitely another class of tourists. Human size. Nice pool, again, simple. Nice staff too. Very caring. And best of the best? The food. For 8USD you get what would be a “bread and butter” Beef carrot dish turned into a delicacy. We will back. No doubt about it. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Very special meal with great food, cocktails and service"
"We weren't impressed by the food in Cambodia with the exception of this meal, which we would love to revisit again and again! Thankfully for the prices (high by cambodian standards but low by international standards) this would actually be feasible!) The food: - Was outstanding, with lots of attention to detail and fresh ingredients! - Everything we ate was unusual and interesting with tons of different components and very involved preparation. Each dish was unique in its own way and delicious! - They have a set menu but it doesn't feel limiting because you can choose between two meal options as well as a vegetarian menu - The cocktails were incredibly delicious and there was a huge variety to choose from! The service: - Was wonderful with very attentive staff who made sure that we were enjoying everything and understood what we were eating and drinking. They brought out very cool little interesting fruits for dessert after our meal which we really enjoyed!"MesaStila Resort and Spa: "Best hotel EVER"
I stayed for three nights at the MesaStila hotel and was blown away! The rooms are breathtaking, large, with enormous bath-tubs and rose petals, beautiful beds, and huge porch overlooking trees and valley. The service is impeccable, with housekeeping stopping by both morning and evening, to add special touches, fruit, etc that make the stay so special. Every single detail of the location is beautiful and made with love. Including the coffee which is grown and roasted on their very own plantation! Truly UNFORGETTABLE. Anyone should visit MesaStila!Mie Cafe: "Best meal of the trip"
"This is a small, fairly unassuming restaurant located in a lovely outdoor garden in the shade of a house in Siem Reap. It is easy walking distance to several large hotels on the outskirts of town. The menu is labeled ""fusion"", meaning that the flavor axis is Cambodian, but presentation styles and cooking techniques seemed to draw from other world cuisines. Nevertheless, the food was fabulous (and I'm picky). Prices were very reasonable. The Khmer curry was incredible. There is an a la carte menu, a fixed menu and a vegan menu."Tandjung Sari: "Perfect for Honeymooners"
My husband an I came to the beautiful place as a gift from my father in law, as he had stayed here before. We were so pleasantly surprised, the place was fantastic. The room was clean and had relaxing day beds inside and out the front of the cottage we even had out own private hut to relax in. The room was very clean and we felt very comfortable, the shower was outdoors. The best part was the beautiful gardens that surrounded us, the restaurant is on the beach, also the day spa at the hotel is the best I have ever been to. We cant wait to return.Rachamankha: "PEACEFUL OASIS"
"We spent 4 nights at the Rachamanka hotel, a small boutique hotel in Chiang Mai. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Our room was large with comfortable beds & quality linens. Bathroom amenities, including a toothbrush/toothpaste & insect repellent, were replaced daily. Breakfast was served in a beautiful courtyard, with a wood burning fire to take the chill off those cool mornings. The grounds are beautifully manicured. Antique Burmese letter chest decorate the walkways. The pool has comfortable chaise lounges with large beach towels. I would definitely stay here again. Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"The Samar: "Perfect gateway to the temples, with the personal touch"
"I came to Siem Reap for a mix between work and leisure and Samar Villa was the perfect fit. First, as I saw in many reviews, Bertrand and his team are always very attentive to our every need. They helped us organize various functions: from meals in unique restaurants, to temples visits and surprising platform rental with full service on Tonle Sap. We and our clients left absolutely delighted by our stay. Apart from this wonderful service, the villa itself is remarkable. The owners have impeccable taste and a beautiful collection of antiques throughout the public areas and rooms. My suite was spacious and homey and spotless, like I've rarely seen. Breakfast and the food in general were very good and generous. All in all, I highly recommend it and look forward to a 2nd visit."Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Bliss"
Nothing like a few days here at the end of a journey through Karnataka. Great setting, attractive cottages, good service and excellent food. Breakfast ,lunch and dinner overlooking the sea what more can you want?Inle Princess Resor: "A longer stay"
"A visit to lake inle was a magical one ,and staying at the inle princess was the icing on the cake .The setting was so peaceful in a quiet backwater ,our room was fabulous we couldn't have asked for more ,it overlooked the lake which had numerous birds flitting about from bushes to reeds what a setting to watch sunrises and sunsets. We had everything we needed for a perfect stay even down to binoculars . The food was excellent and all organic you could taste the difference ,everything was locally produced the hotel had its own area for growing all types of produce . To our surprise the even had 2 cat lodges as they are trying to preserve the Burmese cat breed . Just for the final touch both myself and my husband were given a gift of a traditional Burmese bag Heaven"
