Summertime Villa: "Grand and amazing at the same time"
"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this slice of heaven is tucked away from civilization whilst being right in middle of it. too many highlights to list! the breathtaking views of the valley, the koi pond, the grand sized villa and it's super sized bedrooms. and the EPIC pool is icing on the cake! the food was on point. Management and staff we very friendly and professional at the same time! A place to simply relax and let the world fade away! Thanks summertime Crew. looking forward to seeing you again! !"Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Perfection"
"This was one of our favorite places that we stayed on our 3 week tour of Thailand. We loved the private beach; the layout of the rooms and the wonderful food and drinks. However, what absolutely made this hotel was the staff. They were so friendly and accommodating and took Thai hospitality to a whole another level. It rained the entire time we were on Koh Samui, flooding even, and we wouldn't have changed a thing because Sea Dance still made our trip perfect! Thank you to Poy, Tum, Chef Toy, David and the rest of our friends at Sea Dance! Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Maduzi Hotel: "Truly a gem"
"Stayed at Maduzi for 5d4n. It was a Breeze to locate from Asok BTS. Take the airport express and stop at the station that links to Sukhumvit station. Since Sukhumvit and Asok are interchange stations, u just need to walk towards Asok and orientate from there. It's a 5 mins walk. Bear in mind that the entrance is along Ratchadaprisek Rd, main rd right at the start of Soi 16. If u look from Asok station, locate Clover hotel and walk in that direction. The minute we entered, we were greeted by a very sexy lobby, like an A&F boutique. Check in was a Breeze and we were brought to our room. The lift was equally sexy but some may find it too dark cos of the mood lighting. Our room was on Level A, with M being the topmost. The floors are numbered M A D U Z I and lobby. As we entered our room, we were greeted by a pantry with our own coffee machine and a free minibar (light snacks, drinks). The FREE minibar is topped up daily and I loved it. Coconut juice to end each day was godsend. The pantry door slides open to reveal a HUMONGOUS room. I could roll over 3.5 times and still be on the bed. It is HUGE and comfy. I find the pillows too soft for my liking but with 5 pillows on the bed, it's heaven. There's a work table beside the bed, separated by a partition wall so if u need to get work done, you won't bother those who are trying to get some rest. The Bose sound system is amazing! With auxiliary cables provided, u can plug in ur iPod or phones to play your own music. Hidden at the back is the toilet, dressing area, wardrobe and safe, and bath. I love the spacious dressing area. Long counter so u don't have to wrestle for space. Good supply of personal amenities such as toothbrush kit, comb, hair dryer etc. During shower time, you can opt for a stand up shower or the IN ROOM JACUZZI! Since the hotel does not have a pool, the jacuzzi is the best place to soak and relax after a tiring day out. Panpuri toiletries are provided which smells sooooooo good. We also bought bath bombs from the stalls in chatuchak market for added pampering. Breakfast every morning is served at the restaurant at the lobby floor. U are given a choice of 5-6 items, all of which are enough to fuel us for the morning. We also tried room service which was equally delicious and affordable. For those who do not wanna spend about $10-$12 for pad Thai, can just walk across to the 7-11 to grab stuff to eat. Overall, the hotel is conveniently located. Just 5-7mins walk to Terminal 21 and 15mins walk to Healthland Asoke Massage centre. But this hotel is a gem of a find. I will definitely return to stay here again and will recommend it to those who are coming to Bangkok!"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Amazing views, excellent food, friendly staff"
"The views from the property were exceptional and breathtaking. Served a delicious breakfast full of locally produced and cooked ingredients. Beautiful village walk with Hari followed by a superb lunch. Excellent service and generous hospitality. Bvery interesting to hear about the lodges involvement and support of the local community schools. Thank you Marcus and your team. Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"Villa Song Saigon: "Fantastic boutique hotel, plus free speedboat and minibar"
"We absolutely loved this hotel. Beautiful, quaint, great staff, lovely food and wonderful rooms. It's no wonder that this is the top hotel in Saigon on Trip Advisor (at the time of writing). We stayed in a beautiful room overlooking the pool, with a deeply comfy double bed, separate shower room and washing facilities, TV, private balcony and all the usual mod cons included. Their service is second to none. There's a free minibar in all rooms (including beer, water, milk and juice). They serve breakfast at any time of the day (seriously - you could have it at 10pm if you REALLY sleep in), and it's included in the price of the room. And electricity can be left on in your suite when you leave, meaning those devices that keep dying might actually get charged. They have UK plug sockets too. Best of all, as the hotel is not right in the city centre, they put on a speedboat to ferry guests to the main bit of the city, on a first come first served basis. (Although it was never full when we stayed in May). The boat takes approximately 15-20 minutes, but you'd wish it would be longer, because it's brilliant. The last boat is at 6pm, and a taxi back to the hotel should set you back 150,000 VND. If it's more than that, they've got lost! The pool is excellent, as is their restaurant, which is overseen by Kevin the chef from Luxembourg - who will certainly seek you out to say hello, or offer some food and drink recommendations. Food and drink here, incidentally, is a few more pennies by Vietnamese standards, but very fair when compared to the rest of Saigon, and even better when compared to the likes of London. Breakfast, which I briefly mentioned, is very good. The best we had in Vietnam, in fact. And it offers up some really well done variations of Western classics like pancakes or a full English versus your traditional and excellent Pho noodle soup. (If you're really hungry, you can even have both - in fact, it was them who suggested it, which I greedily accepted). Their staff are great, too. When we wanted to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, the front desk organised a speedboat to pick us up from the hotel's own private jetty - and one of the highlights of our trip. If I was to take points off this hotel, and it is being picky, then their airport to hotel transfer service is very expensive in comparison to most hotels we stayed at in Vietnam (all of which have a comparative distance from airport to destination). It was a nice air conditioned private car, but then it was no better than every other hotel provided us. And 1,386,000 VND is a bit steep. Full disclosure: they had quoted this price to me some time before we arrived in Vietnam, and I could have shopped around for cheaper prices, so I can't really blame them for quoting a price to me and then accepting it. But it might be something they could look at in the future! The taxi they booked us for our return to the airport after our stay was much, much cheaper at 300,000 VND. So maybe shop around for your original pick-up. I know there's loads of 'taxi scams' in Vietnam, but you should be able to find a decent service for cheaper transfers if you need. None of that dented out love of Villa Song Saigon, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. I really miss their speedboat..."The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Luxurious Cabochon Hotel"
"My husband and I stayed at the Cabochon Hotel for a week and we enjoyed every moment. The hotel itself is beautiful - well appointed guest rooms with a lot of space, a soft bed, and a living room you can move around in. The hotel is wonderfully filled with curiosities, mementos and art that delighted us at every turn. We made use of the fabulous library, happy hour cocktails, the lounge area, the restaurant, and the roof top pool. All were exemplary. But the most special mention must go to the staff. Each and every person we had the pleasure to talk with was helpful, polite, courteous and went out of their way to assist us. The Cabochon is a special hotel. If you want to be in the heart of Bangkok, but in a quiet street close to excellent shops, restaurants and the BTS, and you are looking for a luxurious, relaxed and quiet stay, then this is the place for you. We recommended this boutique hotel and are already planning our return trip. Special added mention to the Quince restaurant on the same street and the Thann day spa one street over."Supanniga Cruise: "Exquisite dinner and tour on the Chao Phraya !"
A must do and see when in Bangkok, charming cruise that will ride you close by the upmost historical places and monuments.David’s Kitchen: "Great food, wonderful host, fantastic experience"
This was a gem. David greeted us when we arrived and appeared genuinely interested in where we came from. Menu offered a broad range of dishes from local Thai to European fare. If you have guests who have different tastes, this is definitely the place to go. Service was personalized and attentive. Food was tasty and absolutely delightful. Great selection of wine and the bartender was accommodating to my partner's request for a specific drink mix. Chill environment amidst the high energy of old Chiang Mai. Reservations highly recommended.Jing’s Residence: "Wonderful, feel like at home"
"We stay 3 nights in the hotel, in a courtyard room (the romantic one) and everything was wonderfull. Rooms are so beautiful, well-equiped, clean and very quiet ! All the staff speak english and can easily help you. The breakfast is so big, with chinese meal and also european meal (try their pancakes !!!). The restaurant is amazing like all the plates. The chief is very good and you can practice with him during a cooking class ! We really appreaciate our stay and will be happy to come back again in Jing's Residence !"Samanea Beach Resort: "Great location for relaxing break."
Great location, relaxed environment in a quiet seaside town. Crab market and seafront by short tuk tuk ride away. Resort restaurant had very nice food especially the cinamon toast at breakfast. Pool was nice and lovely waterfront views from jetty.
