leopard safaries: "The Best Camp you would die for"
Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris has exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The camping facility is modern and outstanding. The food, wine, and service are absolutely world class. Just imaging you dining under twinkling stars by the table lit with candle lights surrounded with invisible wild creatures and accompanied by old and new friends! Noel and staff at the camp are very knowledgeable and experienced with Safaris. We never disappointed with each trip we took, leopards, elephants, sloth bear, etc we saw them all. We not only saw animals in the wild, we've also learned a lots about the animals and birds, which make us really appreciate the nature. We highly recommend Noel Rodrigo's Leopard Safaris. It's the best value you would receive and an experience you will remember for your life time.Samuay & Sons: "Great and unexpected gem"
"I'm really glad that we stopped in here to get some food. The food is phenomenal, and the preparation and presentation is quite unique. It's a different take on Thai food, and the folks who work there had time to talk to us, and give us an education on how they source the food, from farm-to-table, and have relationships with actual farmers. The head chef even brought us different types of brown rice to show differences. I enjoyed their take on Tom Yam. I think one of the wonderful things they understand is that food IS medicine and it can heal you. I also like that they travel quite a bit, so they have a sophisticated palate, and introduce you to food you've already had, and make it in a new, and creative way. The dessert was also great. It wasn't overwhelming, like it sometimes can be. I ended up taking a lot of photos because they have some of the best presentation around. Thank you, Samuay & Sons!!!!"Satri House: "Absolute oasis of calm and tranquility"
After the hustle of Hanoi we flew into Luang Prabang and spent 3 nights at the Satri House Hotel, it was superb. In easy walking distance from the town centre, fantastic beautifully furnished room and lovely grounds with charming pool. The staff were also first class --- I can't think of a single criticism. We have travelled in Indochina before and use trip advisor regularly but this is the first time I have ben moved to write a review ---it was excellent.Locavore: "good ambience. innovatively tasty"
had the vegetarian option. was bowled over by the like of hibiscus flower and forest ferns. Hadnt expected them to be tasty! Also enjoyed the complimentary pre-main-event "appetizers" which filled me!MesaStila: "Nature and Forrest Conservation"
This is a private villa with very expensive food prices. Perfect for honeymoon or stress relieve. If you are no a hotel guess than your access only to the restaurant. So the hotel guess will have their privacy. Professional management. Very large area. There are fishing pond. Tennis court. Swimming pool. You can hear the bird singing in the forrest. Very quite and relaxing.David’s Kitchen: "Can’t say enough good things"
My husband and I agree that this is one of, if not the best, restaurants we've ever been to. It's more than comparable to any Michelin star or rated establishment, we were actually really surprised they haven't been properly recognized. Not only was the food high quality, eclectic, delicious, and well portioned, the service was beyond 5 star. We went on a Friday and didn't realize until after our Saturday tour that they aren't open on Sunday or we absolutely would have gone back. We wished we had one more night in chiang mai just so we could go one more time! The employees were so on top of things and David made sure to visit every table for a personable chat. He emailed us the next day and recounted some of what we discussed(which was nice considering we were so jetlag we could barely keep our eyes open past the entrees!) and wished us well on our upcoming relocation. I truly wish David would open another location in NYC, although it wouldn't be the same without the man himself!TIGER MOUNTAIN POKHARA LODGE: "One of my favourite places on Earth"
"We arrived to grey weather and the welcome was as warm as ever! Every single one of the staff here are smiling and welcoming, they treat you like very special guests and the service is wonderful! The chalets each have 2 rooms, so very private...the ""wake ip call"" come with a person serving you tea or coffee as ordered the night before...today was early because the mountains"" are here""... So in order to enjoy the view you get up really early, it is worth it! The food here is scrumptious, be it Nepali or western...one tends to indulge... "Kinabalu Park: "Lovely experience at the lodge"
"Most people will travel on the day to HQ prior to their climb but this year, I decided to stay at HQ so it will not feel so rushed the next day. This turned out to be the best idea. We came as a group of 4 and were given a private room to ourselves. Everything was very clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. Towels were provided and so's bottles of water and added bonus, we have tea/coffee making facility in our room! What a treat. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone thinking of hiking up Mount Kinabalu .... stay a night at the park prior to your climb."Talabgaon Castle: "Hidden Treasure"
A little outside Jaipur this polo retreat is definitely a must visit resort. If you are a group of travellers then your search for perfect escape from city is over. From food to service to privacy this resort has everything that a traveler requires. Rooms are huge with grand bathrooms, Definitely a "Castle" that you should not miss going to.Babe: "Wonderful"
"Probably our favourite restaurant during our travels in Vietnam and Laos. Beautiful setting, it is as attractive as it looks on the photos! Excellent service and fantastic food. We went for dinner and enjoyed it so much that we returned for our last lunch before embarking on our home ward journey. We had a la carte, great sausage and pork balls for starters and good chicken curry and stir fried buffalo. Also had one of the set tasting menus which was delicious. Interesting cocktails! Definitely the best in Luang Prabang. It's a little way from the centre of the town, but well worth the journey."
