Glenburn Tea Estate: "Wonderful place"
"There’s only one downside - a very rough road to get to it. However, it’s only the final 30 minutes of the trip and trust me, it’s worth it! Large, clean and very comfortable bedrooms, amazing views of the hills of Darjeeling, the tea estates and the snow-capped Himalayas, quality breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner and, in between relaxing, some great things to do. A walk down to the river or up to a viewpoint led to cold towels and drinks, followed by amazing picnics. There are cars to take you everywhere if you don’t want to walk. Highlight for us was spending time with the lovely Nilima, a local guide, who was knowledgeable, happy to talk about her life and the local community, and great company as well. Highly recommended."Les Maisons Wat Ko: "“Maison Wat Kor – Peaceful, beautiful, welcoming”"
This is a small, simple hotel, where the emphasis is on the setting, the lake, the garden, the service rather than in-room facilities. The rooms are quite simple, but perfectly comfortable, with all the facilities you reasonably need, and mostly look over a wonderful little lake with waterlilies and all kinds of flowers. There is a small restaurant serving simple but beautifully prepared food, and offering three set breakfasts - all very well judged. The most notable thing, however, is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - they really make you feel as if you were in your own home. We cannot recommend if highly enough - we really didn't want to leave!Maduzi Hotel: "Perfect place"
A great summary of what you can expect in Bangkok - great place, wonderful people! Further the location also couldn't be better if looking for getting easily around in Bangkok. Overall perfect stay and for sure I will come back in due course. The Village House: "Tranquil"
"If you're looking for bright lights, loud music and alcohol till dawn forget the Village House!!!. If on the other hand you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from all the hustle and bustle this is the place. We spent 3 days here and it was amazing. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. Rooms kept spotless and food very very good. Yes its off the beaten track and the beach is different, not that good for swimming and very hot with no shade, but once back in the Village jump in the pool...problem solved!!!! Would we stay here again....most definitely. Thanks to all concerned for making out stay a good one. Room Tip: All rooms have a view of the pool."Manda De Laos: "Best restaurant in town"
The food was amazing and service was great! The decor is beautiful, probably the nicest in Luang Prabang. The Island Lodge: "Relaxing place with lovely staff"
"We stayed here at the beginning of our trip to Vietnam for three nights, with the intention of recovering from jet lag at a leisurely place and pace. One of us had started the trip with a nasty cold and we decided it needed a look from a doctor. The hotel owner, Michel and his assistant Amy were very helpful in arranging this quickly and with a minimum of fuss. Within a couple of hours we had been to the local clinic (with Amy on hand to translate) and returned with appropriate medications. This was above what we would have expected and topped off a very relaxing stay in a well thought out hotel. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Villa Song Saigon: "Absolutely Beautiful"
"We arrived at Villa Song late at night and staff where more than happy to accommodate our request for food and drinks. Situated right on the river this small hotel is amazing Located in district 1 it is about 30 minutes from the airport in peak time. This is a bonus as you like you are a million miles away. Mr Yega Thiyagarajan the General Manager is a wealth of knowledge from places to eat or things to do he is more than happy to help Villa Song is a special place that I know we will visit again and again"Tugu Lombok: "Get pampered"
"We stayed 5 nights in a Swarga Villa immediately after end of ramadan. The photographs of the Villa on the website are not favorable when compared to what it is really. The villa is very nice : terrass with table and chairs, one spacious room including area for desk, generous semi-open air bathroom, patio, and open-air place with two sunbeds and a view on the sea (however, the place is mostly in the shade, you can hardly sunbathe here). Limited privacy on open-air areas. Everything is perfectly working and service is impeccable. For those who would go for an Bhagavat Gita Oceanfront Suite, note that the pool is small (it is a plunge pool) and there is no privacy. Pool is in a garden open to the beach. The service is outstanding, from welcome to good-bye. We would like to drop a special note for Erik at front-desk, Mahmud and Ruslan in the restaurant. They have been excellent making us really feeling at home. What is special to Tugu Lombok is that you can have dinner (and I guess even breakfast) wherever you like : on the beach, on the pool, on the pond, on the spa roof which is like a temple, at your villa.... Food is nice (if not always excellent) and reasonable in price given the standard of the resort. But the choice of wine at an affordable price could be better, including some less expensive wines from Bali for example. Breakfast is generous in every way. We have been less convinced by the spa. Prices are equivalent to 5* in Jakarta but quality level is lower. Whereas quality of massage was quite good, everything else was not luxurious or refined. There are no male therapists. Beach : yes, it is true that there are pieces of coral on the sand. It is however easy to avoid them. In addition, Tugu cleans the beach as much as possible and they have rockshoes available (free). In fact, those coral are more problematic to get into and out of the water, but it did not spoil our pleasure in any way. A big pool, in addition to the nice one in front of the restaurant, is perfect for swimmers (long approx. 30 m, with a smart three-level deep system). Tugu is secluded and very quiet, and this was what we wanted. Fyi, there are no other options for dinner nearby. Bicycles are available (free), local people in the village are very nice and welcoming. Regarding the design, we loved it. But check their website before you book and you can easily see whether you like this style of deco or not. Opinion is given taking into account that the hotel is considered being of very high, ""luxury"" standard (5 stars)."Tugu Malang: "Beautifull java architecture"
"I stayed in Hotel Tugu malang for 2 days in last February, I stayed in one deluxe room in 2nd floor not the cheapest room in the Hotel. The room is very spacious,we had a welcome message and welcome drink also welcome fruit when we are check in,Bath room is very wide Bed is very nice also,I think Hotel Tugu malang is the cheapest Tugu in Indonesia especially if you are compared with Hotel Tugu Lombok or Bali. We also have dinner last night in the Hotel they have so many choices of food,I ordered some duck and my friend ordered sop Buntut Also,Breakfast also nice they have traditionall Indonesian or java food, they provide buffee and alacarte also for the breakfast, for me the Hotel is the best Hotel in Malang. "Rachamankha: "Beautiful boutique hotel"
An oasis in Chiang Mai. Amid the noisy traffic Rachamankha feels secluded. It’s a small property with personal attention. We accidentally booked two nights separately and then discovered that they were different types of rooms, with the second night being an upgrade from the first. The staff seamlessly moved our luggage to the second room. The thing is, I like both rooms equally. While the second has an absolutely fabulous bed, the first had a much larger shower with enough water pressure to feel like I was being power washed. The second has a sofa but the first had plenty of space to move around and organize our belongings. We stay here again on our last night of the vacation and I don’t know which type of room I booked, nor do I care. I will be pleased regardless.
