David’s Kitchen: "Amazing food and friendly staff"

Review by: Bonnie E | Source: Trip Advisor
"Our meal at David's Kitchen was a fantastic experience. David and his staff were very welcoming and David came straight over to introduce himself to us. He told us a little bit about the restaurant and his family and was interested to hear where we had travelled from. The waiters and waitresses were helpful and recommended us options from the menu. The food and wine was absolutely delicious, especially the cheesy gnocchi! Dessert did not disappoint. Although we were full, we couldn't resist the chocolate lava cake and banana crepe! The staff kindly organized us a taxi back to our hotel. We were really glad we made the trip to Davids Kitchen and would highly recommend it when in Chiang Mai! Thank you David and all the staff who made our night so enjoyable!"

Tugu Lombok: "Never been anywhere like this before"

Review by: yourfather | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and I loved it. It was like being welcomed back to the family home that I never grew up in. The delicious food, the quiet pools, the sunrise over the beach. I write from Villa 2 dreading having to check out in 4 hours. We spent three beautiful nights here. Our daughter was treated like royalty, given a crown and sceptre made from leaves. The pools with green tiles are beautiful and luxurious and as we floated together in the tranquil surroundings all thoughts about the rest of the world disappeared. We ate mahi mahi and lobster on a bamboo bed lit by candles and decorated with ketupat. If you can come here, please do. You will remember it forever.

Pindaya Farm House: "Paradise!"

Review by: Marles G | Source: Trip Advisor
Thahara in Pindaya, Myanmar is the most wonderful B&B. The accommodations were spotless, the food excellent, the host and hostess were polite, kind and very attentive. I was very sick for about 24 hours and they made special food for me! Our host picked us up at the airport and provided transportation for our sightseeing. The setting for the B&B is in the country on a farm. Very quiet and peaceful. We are already planning our return trip. I would encourage everyone to consider a trip to this lovely property.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Fantastic Stay"

Review by: n16williams | Source: Trip Advisor
"Four of us stayed at Neeleshwar over the new year period. Staff are amazing and the spa fabulous. The resort does its best to make your stay peaceful. The pool is a very good size and the beach breathtaking. Our cottages were beautiful, clean and in very good condition. We absolutely loved the seafood restaurant on the beach. It is an adult environment so sometimes noisy children can distract from this. The resort probably needs to be MORE clear with parents that only well behaved children and parents who take responsibility for their children should stay here."

Maduzi Hotel: "Sukhumvit gem"

Review by: 344Sarah | Source: Trip Advisor
The rooms at Maduzi are so cleverly designed and laid out - as a previous reviewer said, they feel bigger and more spacious than the square footage would predict. The decor is sleek and zen-like, giving a very restful and calm feel. The staff was lovely, particularly Boon at the front desk -- he went out of his way to help with several special requests. We loved the infinity tub and the super comfortable bed. The wi fi was also very good. The toilet in our room was situated inside a small frosted glass enclosure with a sliding door -- unusual but OK. There are some beautiful design touches in the rooms and the public areas, and the overall vibe is just soothing and nice. I've tried 6 or 8 hotels in the Sukhumvit area and this is the one I'll return to from now on.

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Beautiful decorations"

Review by: Thornton M | Source: Trip Advisor

Sukoon Houseboat: "Harsh1111"

Review by: Marvel | Source: Trip Advisor
"It was my first time in Kashmir so houseboat was one of the top attractions in my mind. Whilst searching online i encountered this beautiful piece of art and realised how beautiful and perfectly suitable it was for family and a comfortable five star houseboat stay. Upon arrival we were greeted by welcome drink kahwa and a very soft scarf. After that thw fun starts. Beautiful rooms, fresh linen, Kama ayurveda toiletries and not to forget a very courteous and supporting staff. Aashiq Bashir Pannnag Bela Rashid These five made our stay an unforgettable experience and stood all our needs within decent time. Sukoon has its own boat that completes too and fro from the boat ghat 19A to the Sukoon houseboat as a complementary service. Wifi is available roand the clock. It is highly recommended to go for Sukoon houseboat in case one is looking for a houseboat experience."

The Twelve Hotel: "Great boutique hotel in Bangkok"

Review by: Chris S | Source: Trip Advisor
The Twelve Hotel is a relatively new boutique hotel in a beautiful residential neighborhood in Bangkok. Away from the hustle and bustle, yet steps from street food, taxis, tuk tuks, and not far from a BTS station, it is a welcome oasis in that crazy wonderful city. I arrived to a very friendly and graceful greeting, and was very pleased at a room upgrade which I had not earned in any way. So speaking of value I will of course rate very highly though I cannot say how the other rooms were. I can only imagine they were as lovely as the one I had, which was spacious and elegant. The staff were incredibly helpful with directions and instructions for my planned travel to other parts of the city. The hotel owners are French, so breakfast had great croissant, baguette, coffee, fruit, and so forth. I usually prefer local breakfasts when traveling but this was a nice respite and well done. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for any stay in Bangkok.

MesaStila: "Beautiful place and very friendly staff"

Review by: L b | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed only for 1night and enjoyed an excellent service. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful and peaceful surrounded by coffee plantation. The club house is a well preserved historic mansion of the dutch colonial era. They offer some activities for free for staying guess. We will definitely come back to stay longer

Maison Polanka: "Maison Polanka: A Sanctuary in a Temple Town"

Review by: tellurideinside | Source: Trip Advisor
Maison Polanka is for those who prefer the serenity of a haven, something authentic and real, intimate and independent. The boutique hotel is just as elegant as the Intercontinental in Danang, as carefully and imaginatively conceived, but way, way smaller, just five rooms to the many villas and suites on Intercontinental’s water-front acreage on Monkey Mountain. Down to the smallest detail, the design and style of the hotel is a reflection of the owners’ life, that is to say, intricately linked to Asian and Cambodian crafts for over 20 years: a private collection of paintngs and photographs from Khmer, Asian, and European artists, the Art Deco and 1950s furniture and objects sourced since 1992, all found their natural home and function in the renovated “Maison” and “Khmer House.” The whole hotel is just two those Cambodian-style – read stilted – teak villas set inside spacious, lush, tropical, and best of all, secret gardens that sit behind a tall wall, which shuts out the hullabaloo that marks the start of high season. If what you are after are the temple adventures Siem Reap has to offer, Angkor Wat the crown jewel, then Maison Polanka is just a short drive from that UNESCO World Heritage Center.Upon your return home you will be tired (very, the wake-up call is generally 4 a.m. so your guide can get you there for sunrise) and sweaty (when it’s not pouring frogs, Cambodia is hot and humid), so a restorative dip in the hotel’s cool, crisp infinity pool will feel great. Or a massage. The spa is a temple within this temple. Is it possible to square serenity? The restaurant sala is next to the pool, its menu, owner Nathalie assured us, features authentic family recipes, largely her own. She also told me an aunt owns a restaurant in Boston and a cousin wrote a Cambodian recipe book. Meals at Maison Polanka are prepared by Pich, a woman who has been the family chef for 20 years. We found the menu choices all so good – a perfect caesar salad, fried spring rolls, steamed rice, stir-fried squid with peppercorns, a Khmer chicken curry, caramelized pork with an egg and rice, stir-fried eggs and veggies for breakfast, beef loc lac– we chose to eschew the many fine options Siem Reap has to offer foodies and instead, have all our meals, including several candlelit dinners, at Maison Polanka next to the pool, which at night is lit by votive candles.
