Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Final leg of India tour"

Review by: SPhillips64 | Source: Trip Advisor
This eco resort is a gem. We've spent two weeks touring Rajasthan and came here for some r&r at the end of the trip. Our bungalow is gorgeous, iPod dock with Bose speakers so we've listened to a lovely bit of jazz every evening before dinner. Enjoyed sunsets, swimming in the sea, watching fishermen and eating fabulous food. We've found prices here to be very reasonable and the resort has a lovely shop which is very good value. Staff can't do enough to make your stay more enjoyable so have made the effort, for once, to give them an excellent review on Trip advisor.

Maison Polanka: "Ideal base in Siem Reap"

Review by: ozkong | Source: Trip Advisor
"To us, Maison Polanka is the ideal type of place to stay. With only a maximum of 10 guests in luxuriant grounds of 6000 sq m, it provides a tranquil oasis to rest after the jostle of Angor Wat. This creates an intimate atmosphere where one gets the chance to interact with both staff & other guests. The Sala next to the pool is a very pleasant place to have a quiet dinner. Both dinners we had there and also the breakfasts were excellent. We went out to the nearby Marun Restaurant (where marginalized kids are trained to work in hospitality) because we wanted to support the cause."

Rachamankha: "A super oasis of calm in Chiang Mai"

Review by: wendyLondon | Source: Trip Advisor
"A proper oasis in the old town of Chiang Mai. It is really beautiful and immaculately maintained - not a leaf or petal out of place. We had a standard room which was fine - spacious and with a lovely large bed. The shower was walk-in and big enough for my husband to use without complaints. The shower has hot, cold, on or off - it was fantastic and extremely strong! There was plenty of free drinking water and for the staff, nothing was too much trouble, at all. The pool area is lovely and while we were there, they replaced the sun beds which were much better! We ate in the restaurant the first night as we got a bit lost when we wandered out of the hotel. It was great - I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. There is a nice selection of both thai and western dishes on the menu and we went for the Thai ones which were very good. Breakfast was amazing. The white table clothed tables were set up in the courtyard and used the beautiful 'antique' crockery. As ever, the service was impeccable. As well as a small buffet there was the choice of a variety of hot dishes, all included in the price. The only downside was the internet - I know that a lot has been said about this and as one reviewer stated, if you want to get away from it all then great, some of us don't have that luxury and I need to check in (home and work) at least once a day. The internet is deeply frustrating and I almost knocked off a star. If the management are reading this PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE INTERNET! Overall a super hotel that we would not hesitate to return to."

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Great food and service"

Review by: Italian_kilt | Source: Trip Advisor
"We booked this months in advance. We had the 6 course menu at US$28 per person, which was good value for this standard of restaurant. All the courses were beautifully presented and were delicious. Their cocktails were also tasty. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, we sat inside that had air con. Staff were all very professional and attentive, spoke good English. Recommend you visit."

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "4 Safari’s in 2 daya"

Review by: Nickers-original | Source: Trip Advisor
Had a great time on safari at Noel Rodrigo's leopard safari tour - we did 2 morning and 2 evening safaris and stayed in their glamping accommodation complete with shower and proper toilet. When we were not off road chasing down wildlife we enjoyed the amazing home cooked local food at the campsite. Saw lots of animals but our favourite was ending up in the middle of a herd of elephants - amazing experience! The staff were all lovely and knowledgeable - highly recommend it!

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Absolute gem in the Himalayas"

Review by: abbabal | Source: Trip Advisor
"My mum and I spent a wonderful, serene few days at Glenburn and we absolutely loved it. Each (huge) room was quaint and charming in old Colonial style, all with their own unique theme - ours was the Rose Room. We went at the recommendation of two friends, who also stayed at Glenburn together with us, and we even made new friends over the communal dinner table. The staff were helpful with everything from making a cup of the delicious home grown tea to organising hikes and day trips. They prepared three meals a day, of various Indian and western cuisines, and even packed delicious picnics that were brought to us on our hikes. They were also very accommodating with food allergies. The surrounding gardens and tea plantations are absolutely exquisite, and it is definitely worth going on hikes around the area, especially the hikes down to the river through Darjeeling's own plantation, and up through the local village to the neighbouring plantations in Kalimpong. There is free wifi but the signal isn't too strong in the rooms - leave the laptop behind and bring a couple of books to read while soaking in the view on the terrace. Be prepared for an extremely bumpy and windy ride from Bagdogra airport. If you are at all prone to motion sickness then I would strongly recommend bringing a motion sickness armband or tablets, and ask the driver to take the calmer road through Darjeeling town rather than the precarious ""highway"" that passes the Bhutanese border."

Satri House: "Wonderful stay"

This is one of the most beautiful hotel that we've stayed. Wonderful decoration with traditional style and wooden furniture. Room is spacious and clean. Staff is very friendly and attentive with perfect English.

Satri House: "A perfect secret escape"

Review by: Gus S | Source: Trip Advisor
Quaint and quiet. Relaxed and elegant. A feast of art collection from paintings to artifact. Topped by a great and proficient property manager. His attention to detail and refined taste is striking. Well done Jani. A must try for a weekend escape in a gorgeous town.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "5 star gourmet experience"

Review by: Richard W | Source: Trip Advisor
"This restaurant is listed as one of the top 50 Restaurants in Asia, and deservedly so. There are 2 menus per night available in 5 or 6 course variants. I went twice, on my first night in Siem Reap, and then again on my last night in Siem Reap. 6 courses each time and I would not hesitate to go back if I am in Siem Reap again. The menu is updated every 2 weeks. Delicious food but the surprise is the price. 28USD for 6 courses, and you do not leave hungry. The chef greets you at the end of your meal; a lovely touch."

Tugu Bali: "Privileged Experience – this is not a hotel, this is a magnificent passion"

Review by: supermarketers | Source: Trip Advisor
I have just returned from a magnificent adventure at Hotel Tugu. I relucantly handed the GM my sword room key as she waved me out the door. I'm not sure what to say, I have travelled to Bali with my grandparents since I was a kid in the 70's and for me the hotel bought back all those fond memories. Tugu is for connecting to the real Bali and I felt privileged to be able to experience it. This is a not a hotel, this is a special place, built by a special man and run by special people. Architecture, culture and history preserved. I felt like I was leaving my second home..... I cannot thank you all enough.
