Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "The highlight of my trip"
"Noel and Cecile were fantastic hosts and the whole experience at the campsite was wonderful. The staff are really friendly and everyone works so hard to make the experience memorable. The tents are thoughtfully equipped with everything that you need including a torch, mobile phone, fans, electrical sockets and ear plugs for when the jungle gets noisy at night! The food is delicious (best I had in Sri Lanka) and I loved the fact that everyone ate together around a big table so you got to know your fellow campers. The safaris were brilliant and Noel accompanied us on the morning drive and shared his extensive knowledge about the animals and their habitat. It was very exciting getting up at 4:45am and driving off through the semi-dark to the jungle! All in all it was a brilliant experience and I can't speak highly enough of this place. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone else who is thinking of visiting Sri Lanka."Reverie Siam: "As good as the reviews suggest"
"We stayed two nights as part of our trip through Thailand. The food and beverage manager is doing a great job at this hotel. Breakfast a la cart is so much more enjoyable especially when it is prepared to such a high standard..the cocktails were outstanding, comparable with top 5 star hotels in HK. Not much around the hotel but the free shuttle was very reliable. Special thanks to the ladies who served us breakfast and evening drinks/dinner, they were genuinely so friendly and made our stay memorable. Thank you and we hope to return if we pass your way again! Pity the weather was too cold for us to use the two beautiful pools!"Jing’s Residence: "Good place that you just cannot miss.."
Do spend time to sit outside of the room, hotel will help to set tea table with sweet stuffs. This is quite different experience that you couldn't get from other 5 star hotels. The only weakness is not many selection from breakfast menu.Tugu Lombok: "Fantastic stay"
"My wife and I had a wonderful honeymoon at Hotel Tugu Lombok. The environment was quiet and serene, the beach was clean and the water was clear. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. They remembered our names and greeted us by our names. For the meals, they also prepared well wishes written on leaves which made the ambience nice. During the trip, as there were heavy rains, the original suite that we were staying in experienced some water leaking issue from the roof. However, the staff was quick to settle it and provided us a free upgrade to the honeymoon suite. We also had fun visiting the Gili islands. The private dragon boat and private guides gave us the flexibility on when and what we would like to do during the island hopping. The bendi ride (horse cart ride) was also a new experience for us. On the last night of our stay, the staff also prepared us a surprise with nice towel foldings of different animals, like monkey, elephants and bears. Coupled with the candles, the room gave a different ambience altogether. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Tugu Lombok and we recommend it for those who wish to have a quiet and serene stay. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Tugu Bali: "Beauty in Bali"
"We had a lovely stay here in September, sadly of only 2 nights... We were greeted and welcomed so well when we arrived after a long journey and nothing was too much for the staff. This area of Canggu is near to Echo Beach and a part of Bali that we see has not been spoilt yet... We were told that Seminyak was the place to go but I disagee and would strongly advise this area as it is more pure and real Bali than Seminyak. Our Dedari suite room at the hotel was truly beautiful and an outdoor/indoor bathroom with fish pond! Only downside was that we thought the hotel was on the beach but it isn't although just a few steps away..."Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "The best"
We stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. The individual room is beautifully design and has their own little balcony. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The reception has a great library. It is good to know you are supporting the local community as well. One of the drawback is that given it is so ecofriendly, we kept hearing noises from various animal on our roof which disturb our sleep a little bit.Mie Cafe: "Excellent fashionable fusion cuisine"
Great food with creative and exciting dishes sophisticatedly presented. Perfect if you are fed up with 100% authentic Cambobian food and want to spice it up a bit. Not the best value for money in our opinion but an excellent dining experience.Labyrinth: "Revisit"
I love the food here for its creativity and presentation. Unfortunately both times that I came, I was barely satiated and had to look for “proper” food after the meal to fill me up. Always an interesting experience dining here, just wished the portions were bigger.Villa Song Saigon: "Part of my 60th birthday trip to Thailand and Vietnam"
"I have never been to Vietnam before and after spending a week in Thailand we flew to Saigon ( Ho Chi Minh) I had booked the Villa Song hotel whilst in the UK. I like staying near a river or the sea and the hotel looked ideal for us. There were 7 of us incl my wife, her cousin, our 3 children and my eldest sons girlfriend. The hotel was perfect! We arrived and as a surprise some friends of ours who live in Hong Kong had flown in and were at the bar as we arrived. The setting was so good we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner and it was excellent. Great French wines at great prices The chef who also came out to see us was really nice. He was born in Luxembourg and was very helpful. The whole place was excellent - a real original Colonial house that had been renovated into a fabulous boutique hotel. The food, the breakfasts, the cocktails were all superb Great spacious rooms with satellite TV and all the staff could not have been nicer. Above all the prices were sensible and affordable I could not recommend this hotel highly enough - right on the river and just 20 minutes into the centre on a free shuttle bus provided by the hotel You must go!!"The Village House: "A quiet pool of calm; a haven in the jungle. R&R and lovely, friendly staff."
"My boyfriend and I returned to a cold England today after staying at the Village House for five days, after a rather hectic two-week exploration of Brunei and Malaysia. The Village House, and the surrounding area was the ideal relaxing end to our holiday There are plenty of places to explore nearby; two beautiful beaches, local villages where the people are very friendly and day trips further afield to see national parks and nature, or to explore the jungle or local culture. (...) The staff are all incredibly friendly, helpful and eager to please, and we built up a good rapport with them during our stay there. It's clear they have great respect for the place and hope guests feel the same way. The room was VERY clean, with cleaners coming in twice per day, and there is a library and TV room, with wifi, for guests to use, in addition to the beautiful swimming pool and relaxation areas with hammocks, sun loungers etc. We had absolutely no complaints, and would recommend anyone to stay here (...)"
