Sukoon Houseboat: "Wonderful place but not now"
"This is an idealic place. Wonderful location beautiful scenery, and we were truly spoilt. Sadly you should not visit there for the foreseeable future, because of all the rioting of the local people. You can't go out, no shops open, people off the streets curfews, Internet constantly down and teeming with army and guns. The Sukoon was truly a haven in a very troubled times. Shangloo travel agency should never have brought us to Srinagar, knowing we couldn't do any of his promised tours. This was a very dangerous act."David’s Kitchen: "More than fine dining.. it was an unforgettable experience"
"To start, I NEVER write reviews.. but David, his staff, and the entire experience altogether surpassed our expectations! We were running thirty minutes late because of the taxi.. not even knowing if our reservation was still held (we didn’t bother getting SIM cards so we weren’t able to call.) As we arrived, we were personally greeted by David, himself! The conversation was far from your typical owner/manager greeting. He shared life stories, genuinely asked about our trip, and even gave us recommendations for the following city we were visiting. This, alone, was enough for us to come back if we were ever in the city again. The table was beautifully set with rose petals and a birthday greeting card. David’s “favorite” table definitely served its justice. I definitely felt special, as there were about four other birthdays that same night. The food was PHENOMENAL and boy, did we order a bunch of food/wine! Surf and turf is to die for!! As for the service, we were catered to like kings and queens. We aren’t very needy people at restaurants but let me tell you... one glance up and the waitress was ready to hurry over to our table! As I reread this paragraph, I realized that words really cannot justify to our exceptional experience. By far the best experience I had with ANY company that I’ve been a customer to. I promise you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you, David and staff!"Mume: "Deserved a place in Top50 in Asia!"
A must try when in Taipei, friendly staff and food cooked and presented to perfection! Was impressed on the execution of techniques, blend of flavours and its casual atmosphere.Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Beautiful Boutique hotel in perfect location"
This is a wonderful "boutique" hotel. There are only seven suites and they are essentially one bedroom apartments with excellent views of the town and river. The service was first rate and the breakfast was wonderful. Served on their rooftop restaurant, it was delicious and allowed you to watch the little city wake up. The restaurant on the ground floor has both indoor and outdoor service and the food is very good and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again and strongly recommend it to any travelers.Locavore: "Ecstatic"
"Never thought I'd have to go to Ubud to get the best culinary experience in my life. This restaurant ticks all the boxes for me. Phenomenal food using local ingredients, knowledgeable and friendly staff and a great ambiance. Seemingly endless appetisers, 7 courses with a pre-desert and 3 let's call them post deserts. I was in heaven! I especially liked the squid in black dish and the Bangkok Hitam (pork shoulder). We chose a beverage pairing with each course. These beverages were cleverly crafted cocktails. In my opinion they deserve a Nobel prize for cocktails for their cocktail with bacon! I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who is willing to have their tastebuds titillated. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance!"Villa Mathis: "Le paradis"
Tugu Lombok: "A wonderful place to spend our honeyroom"
I can't say enough about Hotel Tugu and its staff. The property is absolutely beautiful and the staff went out of their way to make our Honeymoon special. Everything — the rooms, the beach, the wonderful activities and spa — was fantastic. They pampered us for 5 days straight! I can't wait to go back.Hotel Tugu Bali: "Heritage meets comfort"
I have been now twice and both were such a relaxing and comfortable stays with the feeling of heritage and historic ambiance and modern comfort at the same time. The staff is very attentive and supported me in my extra demands. I highly recommend (and have to my friends) Hotel Tugu Bali.Villa Song Saigon: "Best customer service EVER"
Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. They have a free breakfast meal which you can eat anytime of the day. And the breakfast includes a wide range of options beyond the obvious breakfast dishes. They have a free refillable mini bar in the room (wine, beer, juice, iced tea). The rooms are quite fabulous, try to stay in one that overlooks the river. The pool is quiet and stunning but right near the main entrance so you'll see visitors coming in and out a lot. If you're using Uber to move in and around the city, you can ask the concierge to help in translation. By far the service at this hotel is par excellence.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "An amazing experience.."
"Firstly, my apologies, as my review comes in very late. We travelled as a family of 5 and had planned a one-night stay at Tiger Mountain in late March. The moment we stepped into the lodge, its location took our breath away. Looking down at the valley below and the clouds in the distance, my family was instantly taken with the property. I, of course, had ulterior motives, Tiger Mountain is renowned to be one of the best birding destinations in Nepal. We were welcomed very warmly by Jhalak, the property's customer service manager who gave us a complete overview of the property. We had arrived at lunchtime, so after taking our lunch (all freshly made, the highlight of which was the tomato chutney), we retired to our rooms where the view was equally marvelous if not more. (...)As my family had some specific food requirements, the hotel stage were kind enough us to whip us something when the regular meal choices didn't make sense. At night once the weather had settled, Hari brought me out to listen to the haunting call of the Mountain Scops Owl, and since I had a flashlight, he said I could try my luck to catch the eye shine of a wandering yellow-throated marten (no luck there!). Next morning, I was up again to go with Hari, and after a quick clouded view of the Himalayas, we were off. We saw many more species, including the Khaleej pheasant scurrying away from the owner's bungalow into the forest. Truly a birder's paradise this. Jhalak and all the other staff ensured throughout our stay that we were well looked after (Jhalak, I did mention you to Jitudai at Chitwan, he beamed brightly when he heard yours and Hari's name). All in all, a wonderful stay, cozy, relaxing and for an amateur birder, downright enjoyable :) "
