We stayed at the property in later December 2016 on the night in the middle of a two-day bike trip. After a long morning and part of the afternoon on bikes we were very happy to arrive at this beautiful property. The owner and his staff are very welcoming and the rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathroom is well decorated with pretty rocks in one section of the shower and lovely ceramic mugs near the sink. We had booked ahead to ensure we could each have a massage that afternoon and the spa is small but pretty. There is a large pool and deck area along the river but it was cool enough that we were not interested in sitting out by the pool. We had a cocktail in the bar area which is open on all sides and has a fun decor that incorporates old world items. The restaurant was good but we were not clear at the time of booking that we would be on a set menu. I think we would have preferred to order a la carte. All in all a good stay and we would return if in the area.Villa Song Saigon: "Superb!"
Wow! I don't even know where to start! It was the lap of luxury. It oozed style, chic and elegance. The large French colonial style fans in the rooms and hallways created a wonderful atmosphere. Our room was large and stylish. The swimming pool area was immaculately clean and well attended with constant supplies of ice water. The breakfast was absolutely exceptional. We were looked after by Freddie who put a lot of effort and personal touch into serving us. Regular speed boat free shuttle into the city centre means you are just minutes from the buzz of Ho Chi Minh. My wife and I ate dinner at David’s kitchen and found both the food and service to be world-class. The fois gra was exceptional and my duck with orange sauce was perfect. Both the quality of the ingredients and it’s preparation made the meal memorable. The presence and attention of David was fairly unique given the size of the establishment. I would unconditionally recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves French food.Sea Dance Resort: "Excellent resort."
Sea dance is a beatiful intimate resort. If you want to relax in a nice comfortable cottage away from the noisy tourist areas of Ko Samui this is the place for you. Ideally located, a short drive from the airport and a short drive to the best beaches, shops and nightlife but in a very quiet setting. The ideal place to relax and unwind. The customer service is excellent. All the staff are trying their best to make you feel at home. We will definitely stay there again on a next visit to Samui.Tugu Bali: "Wonderful stay"
"My solo trip to Bali was probably the best trip of my life (this says a lot coming from someone who travels to foreign countries quite often) My stay at Tugu is absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for better treatment from the staff, they always made me feel like they were looking after me in an unobtrusive sort of way. The facilities were authentic Balinese style, treatments at the spa were delightful. I highly recommend Tugu to anyone! You'll love their afternoon tea. This charming restaurant ticks all the boxes. Service is efficient, friendly and knowledgeable, the food is local but with a modern twist, and beautifully presented, and the setting is in a pretty garden. The tonle sap fish salad, and the frozen lime pie were particularly good.Sukoon Houseboat: "Beautiful houseboat on a beautiful lake"
The luxury and service on Sukoon far exceeded any expectations. The lovely carved wood panelling and the comfort of the ensuite bedroom had the feel of a five star hotel. So glad we had opted to stay for five nights to fully enjoy the peace and tranquility of living on board. We were able to sit on the deck where we took delicious meals and where the excellent chef cooked breakfast to our request. The snow capped mountains in the far background completed the scene. The small shikara boats provided a delightful way to explore the lake and take us ashore to explore Srinagar. I cannot recommend Sukoon highly enough over all other houseboats we got to see there. The best resort on the island, the beach at the back of the resort is totally private, feels like i owned the beach by myself, food at the resort is great, just abit pricey for belitung island... But so far this is the best experience …Reverie Siam: "Absolutely charming"
It is difficult to overpraise this hotel. The location, looking up at the mountains behind, is great. My room was spacious, very quiet and showed attention to detail in every respect. It looked out on what seemed to be my own private garden winding into the distance. The free shuttle is not at a fixed schedule, but comes to pick you up when you call. Great service attitude of the staff. The only criticism I could find is that the wifi is a bit weak. Stay here!
