4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Tranquil Haven"
The most peaceful place with the most friendly staff. A boat trip to the waterfalls a must. Will definitely find an excuse yo go back. We went on family trip and children aged 17,15 and 12 loved every moment.Villa Song Saigon: "away from downtown, along the river"
if you don't want to stay near downtown HCMC Villa Song might be your best choice located along the river, they offer free speed boat ride to the city, which is pretty cool! and if you like beers, they will refill your mini bar with 2 beers overnight for free too!Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Exceptional"
The team at Inle Heritage made my arrival in Myanmar so smooth and welcoming. The team patiently and wonderfully indulged me with all my cultural questions that I bombarded them with. Transfers were super easy and the tour of the lake was nicely curated. I am notoriously picky and there are two hotels that I have been mentioning in the same breath since my return; The Puli in Shanghai and Inle Heritage. Service was exceptional, very detailed and thoughtful. The icing on the cake is that the 6 bungalows and traditional Inthar restaurant are funding the cat + fish breeding, eco farming practices, and scholarships for 40 driven hospitality students each year. Like others have said this is not luxury and there are a little few missteps now and then from the students but it doesn't matter as it is all so personal, detailed and welcoming. From the moment of my booking Ms. Thant Zin Aye, the GM, was helpful and generous over email and in person when I arrived. Ms. Nang Khin May and Ms. Chaw Su Thet Htar were so sweet welcoming. Mr. Htun A Tint is a natural in this hospitality game and will go far! I have recommended this hotel to everyone and I would be there in a heartbeat on my next trip to Myanmar.Mathis Retreat: "No words can explain this place"
"After two nights we've decided to extend our stay! It's a romantic place This place us right in the middle of the rice fields, impressive nature the only noise you get here is from the nature, green all around. We had a really good massage surrounded by nature The service is great and polite, their Terracotta Restaurant is one of the best of this area, we had an amazing dinner here. The management is very helpful, they gave us lot of advices."Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Paradise Found"
"Having spent two crazy weeks exploring Delhi, Varanasi, Agra etc. we flew down for a week in southern India to unwind. I had picked the Neeleshwar Hermitage from a photo of the swimming pool I had seen in The Trailfinders brochure, and it more than lived up to my expectations. The welcome was genuinely warm, and our cottage was just lovely. The discreet but friendly staff were always on hand for anything we needed. We arrived in the dark, and so waking up to the Arabian sea was a real treat. The beach went on for miles and was virtually deserted. The sea was warm and inviting, and the infinity pool was superb. Both restaurants were excellent, and breakfast beside the beach was fantastic. I had a wonderful treatment in the spa, and would recommend a visit. Following 3 nights at the resort we transferred for one night on the houseboat. What a wonderful, fabulous experience that I will always treasure. A perfect end to an amazing holiday. Room Tip: Some of the cottages face the sea, but we had a garden view and it was still lovely."jing: "We still dream about it!!"
Jing's Residence is a chinese gem inside the walled city of Pingyao. The hotel is located into a historic courtyard that was carefully renewed to maintained its original characteristics. By the way, attention to every detail is something you will definitely find during your stay there. The decoration of the common areas, the bar, breakfast and the room, everything is made to make you feel you are in a special place. They serve west and chinese breakfast every morning, try both if you can. If you have the opportunity try the local dishes, the food is absolutely fantastic. We made noodles class and also recommend, they offer other special activities such as origamis classes for adult and children too. We stayed for 3 nights but had a train only in the evening so the offer us a late check out (actually more than late, we left the hotel only at 8pm!) with no extra cost. This made all the difference in our trip. Staff was always more than friendly and helpful. and they also speak good english. It is expensive but worth every penny. We can't praise this hotel enough. #❤️The Island Lodge: "Just Perfect!"
"I stayed 2 nights with my family for a week end away from Saigon. Staff and owners are very nice and friendly. The restaurant provides good French food. The swimming is awesome. Room has a balcony with view to the river, you can see beautiful sunset. Thanks Michel and Françoise, we will come back..."Reverie Siam: "Great Hospitality hotel in Pai"

"MesaStila is truly a gem! It was a great getaway from the city with breathtaking view of Andong n Mt Merapi! Weather was cool as it was up in the mountains! We tried Turkish Hammam & it was an amazing experience! Totally clean n refreshed after the treatment.. Variety of food was reasonable & very delicious.. we were totally pampered by this resort n their staff! One thing- I thought the pillow n bed was a little too soft.. and perhaps, u might want to include cooking lessons for your in-house activities.. more variety would be great for your guests who are staying for a longer period.."MesaStila: "One of a kind experience"
"We stayed at MesaStila from 10/2/17-10/9/17. We had a wonderful experience. The property is truly magical. When we arrived, the coffee trees were blooming white, fragrant flowers. The property is wonderful, mixing reclaimed old Javanese homes with old Dutch colonial buildings. Here are some notes for fellow travelers: Weather: We were worried about the weather (beginning of rainy season). However, apparently, we were lucky with weather for this time of year. We stayed a total of about 7 days. Most days, it was sunny. Some of the days, it only rained for about 10 or 15 minutes at night. One day, it rained in the afternoon. The first few days it was in the 70s Fahrenheit. Other days, it got warmer but not unbearable. Maybe the 80s or low 90s Fahrenheit. It was truly the best weather we could have wanted. Room: We stayed in the Arum Villa. I would totally recommend it. There is a beautiful red dividing wall with carvings. The huge balcony overlooks the coffee trees. The bathroom has a big blue tile tub with doors that you open, so it's kind of like an open-air shower. There was a little walkway with a fountain and trees leading to our room. We were very happy with our villa. It felt private and like we were ""somewhere else."" Excursions: Some days we spent at the resort, which we recommend. At the resort, there is a beautiful pool, yoga classes, gamelan (music) performance, Javanese dance performance, fantastic spa, croquet, and walks through the coffee trees. We also did excursions. Here are some notes on the excursions: First, we went on the Borobodur Temple sunrise tour. We enjoyed it. It was a cloudy morning, which impacted the sunrise. The resort hires a tour guide, which was very helpful in learning about the temple. You also got to see other smaller temples in the area, drink luwak coffee at a local luwak coffee roaster, and visit a local family's traditional home. We also opted for the elephant ride. We enjoyed it, but it didn't make the excursion for us. Second, we did the bicycle ride that takes you through the rice paddies, to royal baths, and an option of a local waterfall. This was my boyfriend's favorite thing that we did in all of Indonesia. You need to be a little bit athletic to enjoy the bicycle ride, because you're literally biking on a few-inch-wide path between rice paddies. The rice paddies were beautifully tiered and green with the volcano/mountains in the background. Third, we went to the Pramaban Temple and Ramayana Ballet. This was my favorite excursion. It's a long drive (about 3 hours), but you get to go to the temple, a really cool, delicious restaurant, and the Ramayana Ballet. The restaurant was this dark lit, exotic restaurant with truly great food. The ballet was performed with the temple in the background and featured traditional dances and costumes. We went on a night with a full moon and it was really cool. Fourth, we went to the local railroad station museum. You get to see old colonial trains and station houses. You also get to go on a train ride through rice paddies on an old train. This was probably our least favorite excursion, but the others were so great that it's more of a perspective issue than anything negative about the old railway station museum. Also, we highly recommend the MesaStila spa. They truly make you feel special. Food/Drinks: From our experience, we basically relied upon MesaStila for our meals. We didn't have a rental car (driving there is craziness) and you're surrounded but very small villages, so MesaStila is the ""only restaurant in town,"" if you will. The breakfast buffet is amazing. We were very happy with cocktails and drinks. You must try the gin and tonic with spices and the mojito with brown sugar. The soups, fried rice, fried noodles, and tuna appetizer were also very good. Service: The staff were very lovely. Thanks so much to Lily (reception) and Deni (driver/tour guide)!!! Central Java Overall: We were enchanted by Indonesia. The people are so friendly. You see volcanoes, mountains, tiered green rice paddies, coconut and banana trees, lizards running everywhere, and ancient temples. Between the people and the landscape, the country is a wonderful way to spend a vacation."
