Mathis Retreat: "Een prachtige plaats met fantastische service"

Review by: gerritv787 | Source: Trip Advisor
What enjoy, good rooms, nice view over the rice fields, excellent service, small, beautiful pool and excellent restaurant. The Belgian manageresse was very helpful, the shuttle service to the city center, 10-15 minutes, very convenient.

MesaStila: "Amazing gem in Central Java"

Review by: Helen M | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We found this gem by pure chance and it lived up to all the reviews we found. It has gorgeous surrounds and so many activities. We had 4 families get away for the long weekend and there was something for everyone. Ask for a room with the mountain view, it will accommodate a family of 4-5 easily. We hired a bus which took us to a waterfall for the afternoon which I highly recommend. The staff are incredibly helpful and will sort out any of your requests. The spa is excellent and the walk through the coffee plantation and rice fields are so wonderful. We wish we could have stayed longer. "

The Island Lodge: "The perfect oasis of calm and relaxation"

Review by: wineguru_12 | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel really is a gem, yes the rooms are lovely, the pool is delightful, and the setting overlooking the Mekong is second to none, but the real quality of the island lodge is in it's staff. The owner personally greets each guest, and the Vietnamese staff, from the manageress to the security guard were all friendly, and incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast is excellent and the lunch and dinner menu is varied. Prices are relatively high for Vietnam, but not for a hotel of this class. If I had one suggestion, it would be to add a snack or sandwich menu to the food options, there are no alternative restaurants nearby, and sometimes we wanted to just eat something light by the pool.

Manda De Laos: "Stunning and delicious!"

"We would recommend this restaurant to everyone! It is in a simply gorgeous location, the is service was brilliant and the food was excellent! MANDA de LAOS Unit 1 Ban That Luang, 10 Norrassan Road, Luang Prabang, Lao PDR Tel. +856 (0)71 253 923 / +856 (0)20 5644 4847 contact@mandadelaos.com MANDA de LAOS features Laotian Family Cuisine specialties from all regions of Laos. Dine under the stars surrounded by a UNESCO classified lily pond, immerse in a tropical ambiance. It is one of the more expensive places we visited but definitely worth it and I would love to return. Maison Polanka: "An oasis indeed"

Review by: zachykings | Source: Trip Advisor
This lovely sweet hotel is indeed an oasis. It's location is so strategically located to give us the best night sleep. Waking up in a garden made us feel at home. Value for the money is backed up by the very professional service. I personally like the service the Khmer staffs rendered to us. Amazing pool too! Try the food they serve. Amazing

Manda De Laos: "Most treasured dinner in Luang Prabang"

Review by: Johan L | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a highlight of any visit to Luang Prabang! We had to cancel our Romantic Menu dinner reservation at the table in the middle of the UNESCO classified Lilly Pond due to unforeseen circumstances, but Manda de Laos was kind enough to move our reservation to the following night, albeit with losing our spot on the island. No problem! They seated us on the open terrace directly adjacent to the pond - an exquisite setting! While the Amuse Bouche was a nice touch, the hors d'oeuvre raised the experience even further: Laab Moo Ping (BBQ pork balls with lemongrass and coriander), Neam Jeun (crispy spring rolls), Ping Kai (BBQ chicken) and Koi Pa (fish salad). While it would have been more of a fine dining experience to received these appetizers individually, it was still delicious. The main course consisted of Or Lam (a Laotian chicken stew with the fascinating ingredient Sakhane, which when bitten into leaves a distinct tingling sensation on the tongue!), Mok Pa (deliciously aromatic fish steamed in banana leaves), Ping Sin (buffalo steak), Ping Dook Moo (spare ribs), Pak (stir-fried vegetables, delicious!) and Khao Khati (crunchy coconut rice). For desert, we had Choux Kuay (a banana cream pie), followed by a delicious coffee. We paired with the house Chardonnay and a Syrah. Manda de Laos also included two cocktails with the menu. It was a thoroughly spectacular evening!"

Mie Cafe: "my number two in Siem Reap"

Review by: HansM1959 | Source: Trip Advisor
nice, small restaurant with friendly staff and good, innovative food. We were very well taken care of and left the restaurant happy. And for all those Swiss who know what a "Röstiraffel" is, watch out for some of the lamps. Very nice and an excellent idea which I will copy at home! I can highly recommend this restaurant and I am happy that the owner of Wat Damrak told us to go there.

Rachamankha: "small and cosy boutique hotel close to the city"

Review by: chbarthels | Source: Trip Advisor
Rachamanka, part of secret retreats, is a very special place in Chiang Mai. You are close to many attractions, but in the moment you 'll pass trough the door you are in a peaceful oasis. The whole hotel is decorated with antics and artworks of the regions. Everything is very tastful and well chosen. The staff is nice and obliging. The pool is a nice place to spend the hot time of the day. The library has many interessting books about Chiang Mai and the entire region and culture. breakfast is served in a cosy courtyard and there is also a small bar for a drink in the evening. We have not eaten in the hotel, so we cannot say anything about the food, breakfast was delicouse and offered a great choice.
