Inle Princess Resort: "Perfekt"
"I've been to many other countries in Asia and Europe and stayed in more expensive hotels but CFTM so far, is the best I've been to. The hotel itself is grand and absolutely beautiful with a most interesting and colorful history. The staff was wonderful and performed way beyond expectations. It was my birthday and I found a floral arrangement plus a birthday card when I returned to my hotel in the evening. Within minutes of my return to my room that day, a staff arrived bearing a birthday cake. Then I had problems with my wifi and within minutes, someone arrived with a portable broadband. I expressed admiration for the homemade jams, particularly a certain type and within half an hour a complimentary bottle arrived in my room. Incredibly Wow. Impressive. Awesomest. Everything about CFTM and it's staff is to be expressed in the superlatives. Ps. If you are looking for airconditioned reception, sterile looking hallways, stainless steel and chrome fittings, this is not the place for you. But if you are interested in history and culture, by all means, stay here please. Stayed March 2017, traveled solo"Reverie Siam Pai: "Tropical idyll"
"We stayed here for 3 nights during a bit of a tour of Thailand. The hotel was absolute perfection. Arriving following the 3 hour bus trip from Chiang Mai, we were greeted with a lovely cold juice and shown to our room, which was beautiful. Overlooking the natural looking swimming pool and mountains beyond, the room had a tranquil feel to it with high end furnishings and a roll top bath. Food was fantastic and served in the small restaurant overlooking the gardens. A special mention has to go to the staff; service was second to none, while still relaxed. Being on the outskirts of Pai meant that it was nice and quiet, but the hotel ran a shuttle when you needed it, so it was easy to get in and out. A secluded paradise that we'd happily return to."Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A haven outside Pokhara"
Have stayed in TIger Mountain Pokhara Lodge a couple of times and it will be returned to. It is situated in a high position on the top of a hill affording the most wonderful views of the Annapurna range. The lodge is a place of calm, has beautifully designed rooms, a pool in a stunning setting where you can swim facing the Himalayas and the food provided is consistently the best I have had in the area. Various activities are available or you can read by the wonderful pool.David’s Kitchen: "So good in many ways!"
"Was so happy that I booked David's Kitchen for my mom's birthday. Everything was so great from the amazing menu, the delicious food, the ambiance, and the service. The menu was extensive but everything looked so good on it. I was sad that I was actually suffering from a stomach bug at the time because I wanted to eat everything. The lobster bisque is definitely ON POINT. I was weary to try because they're usually heavy and creamy and it was actually so light and even foamy at the top. A must try. The french onion soup doesn't have much cheese which I welcomed due to my circumstance, but would've preferred more if I was feeling better. The beef cheek is also a must try! Melt in your mouth. David himself also came to great us twice, our names were put on the table, and they also made arrangements for my mom's birthday. He even sent us a followup email afterwards. The attention to detail and personal touch was an appreciated surprise. The decor is also light and comfortable for a 'fancy' restaurant. It never felt stuffy in there and it had a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend. A must go in Chiang Mai!"The River Resort: "Charming Riverside Retreat"
We stayed here for two nights after doing some serious trekking and strenuous outdoor activity the previous several days. It was a perfect retreat for rest and relaxation! We took advantage of the spa and massage services, spent time on our balcony enjoying the view of the Mekong river, and ate several very tasty meals in the restaurant. The rooms are spacious and very nice, and the outdoor (hot!) shower was a real treat! I would definitely stay here again.Inle Princess Resort: "An unmissable place"
This is a wonderful experience. Fabulous setting, very high standard of accommodation with many little extras such as fruit and biscuits in the room, a bird book and binoculars for our use. Charming, helpful staff, good food on a terrace overlooking the lake. We were sad to leave.Mume: "Inventive cuisine at reasonable prices"
Managed to get a 830pm seating here on a trip to Taipei. It's not a fine dining restaurant where you have no option but to take a degustation menu. Instead you get a pretty decent sized menu to choose a la carte options and almost everything we had was really good. Highly recommend the chicken liver, beef tartare, barley porridge. Though the menu might be different next time you go. It's definitely a bit on the higher price range of food options in Taipei but the same quality of food would cost almost double in Singapore or Hong Kong. So overall it was great value for money.Villa Mathis: "La Villa Mathis is the perfect place if you’re looking for a beautifull place and outstanding service"
We stayed one week in Villa Mathis and enjoyed the outstanding service of Chris and his team. The rooms were spotless and the free shuttle to the centre of Seminyak brings you within 10 minutes to the centre. The resort is a very tranquille place and the villas and rooms are beautifull decorated. There are several swimming pools were you can enjoy the silence in the nice gardens. We will surely return here again when we visit Bali. We can highly recommend this place!
Allez y les yeux fermés Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"
