"This is the perfect place to relax during your visit to Myanmar. Settle in for a slower pace and just admire the scenery. The rooms are very large and have an amazing bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and a full tub. We had a room on the water with a lovely view of the marsh. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the mornings and evenings watching the water. The property is a long drive from the airport so be prepared for that but it's a interesting drive. The hotel staff is very helpful and accommodating. Use them to arrange tours of the Inle Lake area for $30-$40 dollars. We visited many of the local attractions- lotus/silk weavers, boat makers, cigar makers, cat monastery. Some have a small tour but nobody was pushy. The restaurant on the property is very good which is great since there are few options for dinner off property due to the fact that it's a bit of a drive to town and I don't think the boats run after dark. The tents are great, they offer good facilities, and all come with an awesome view of the river and the most amazing sunset. It's definitely not cheap but well worth the money! The Island Lodge is a luxury property in a natural location. The ambience is unique in the Mekong Delta. The pool, the food, the rooms, the staff, the welcome, the good-bye, the attention to detail in every regard are nothing short of spectacular. This is a 5-star resort in an otherwise humble Delta surrounding. Although the prices are considerably higher than the local competition, the value is definitely there. If you want to pamper yourself in every way, this is your destination in the Mekong Delta. Everything you need is available on the premises. Idyllic traditional Cambodian house nestled in a stunning garden in the backstreets of Siem Reap. Our two nights at Villa Song provided a relaxing start to our ambitious trip. The hotel is stylish, airy, comfortable and as lovely as it looks in the photos. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the banks of the river -- delicious, hearty Asian or Western options accompanied by an entertaining view of the boat traffic passing by. The hotel staff were exceptionally accommodating and kind (we had a member of our small group with a foot injury and they switched her to a larger room on the first floor at no extra charge). The showers are outstanding, the amenities top notch and they're generous with the bottled water (and the free minibar). This hotel gives a beautiful break from the fast-pace of most areas in India. This place is simply heavenly. The food is very healthy and prepared perfectly. Try the beetroot with coconut soup and the paratha soup. This hotel also offers the opportunity to sail on The Lotus for a few nights and watch the reflection of the sun and moon dance on the water.
