"From the moment we arrived ,we were greeted with the most warmest of smiles. It didn't take long before the staff greeted us by our Christian names. Our room was beautiful and on the bed a welcome post card, a nice touch. Everything about this hotel is amazing, the service the cleanliness, the amenities , and the spa was divine. We took an organised tour through the hotel as it is very much like a museum. So much art and wood carvings, the walk down ""The Love Avenue"" towards the Sahara room was simply beautiful. The food in the Resturant, you just cannot fault, 5 star all the way. Afternoon tea is provided each afternoon with some traditional Javanese sweets. We had booked for 2 nights only but extended another night , just really couldn't leave. If I could give this place 6 star, I would. We had 2 nights here and just wish it had been longer. We were treated royally. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. The room was beautiful. A fridge in room would be good but a minor point. Great place to explore central java, borobudur, prambanan etc. Estate build in colonial times is perfect getaaway from the city. Nice touch with heritage style villas. Coffee plantation tour is fun and informative, get freshly ground coffee as well. Nicely nestled amongs the mountains with spectacular views, infinity pool and a massive spa for those who like to indulge. Food is decent with good mix of western and local food. "I have been to Seeds a couple of times over the past few months. It is great to see and feel how the team is growing in experience and professionalism. The Service is very pleasant and attentive, with a good knowledge of the product they are serving. The dishes presented were very innovative and well presented. Fine-tuned culinary creations of high international standard, at times with a slight local twist in flavor! We stayed here for a total of 3 nights. And it has been awesome. The decor is an old style like stepping back in time. The staff are amazing and are what our stay magical. This is a "late" review, as I lost the name until I found it in my old luggage. We stayed there three nights starting 01/20/2013-01/23/2013, and it was nearly the single most pleasant place we stayed in a three month trip around Thailand and Laos. All rooms face a beautiful central courtyard, and the staff and management are top-notch. The only downside is that the neighborhood outside the walls is a bit rugged, but we had no problems. "We were more than pleasantly surprised by this amazing small luxurious resort in the mountains of North Laos. We felt welcome and special. Top service, very friendly staff and general mananger. Top room with view on the river. The hotel organized for us 2 amazing tours to the mountain tribes. It was a real adventure and we were touch by the people in the small mountian villages. Excellent guides and driver of the 4 x 4. Wonderfull breakfast and really amazing diners ! This is really top food. This resort is in fact too good to share with others. We stayed four nights in a Bhaghavat Gita suite which we would certainly recommend. The suite has its own garden with a large plunge pool and then you're straight onto the wonderful white sand Sire beach. The suite also has a private front garden which includes the semi-outdoor bathroom. Our daughters stayed in a kampong bungalow directly beind our villa which was perfectly adequate and a lot cheaper! You can eat on the beach or in various other places around the site - we chose the roof of the Temple-like spa. Best to book these in advance - there is no where else to eat unless you drive for about 30 mins into Sengigi - we didn't bother as the food was good and varied, with both local and international dishes (mainly Italian). The restaurant is open-sided and overlooks the pool, which was never crowded (don't think all the rooms were full when we were there). We took the dragon boat trip to snorkel at the Gili Isles which was good fun, and we saw a turtle.
