Maison Polanka: "An oasis in the city"

Review by: maggiekizer | Source: tripadvisor.com
We felt well taken care of by the staff - every time we arrived we were greeted with cold towels and a willingness to help with any details to make our trip more enjoyable. The property is utterly an oasis in the city - tons of greenery and the pool the perfect way to cool off on a hot afternoon. Since there are not many rooms, we felt like we had the place practically to ourselves and the peaceful atmosphere was most welcome.

Muang La Lodge: "Total relaxation – piece of heaven in Laos"

Review by: DerrickJS | Source: Trip Advisor
"Set by the confluence of two small rivers, the Muang La Lodge is a piece of tranquility set in a picturesque location. Comprising of 10 rooms all in pairs of buildings either along the river or in the lush grounds. The river rooms are certainly worth the little extra cost to secure. It is a 5 hour drive up from Luang Prabang through some spectacular scenery but the journey is well worth it. The lodge provides inclusive meals - there is little else in the village near by - but these are excellent. All the staff are local and the chef, who we understand had been there six years, is very talented. There is a five course set menu each evening though they go out of their way to accommodate likes and dislikes ensuring everyone has a wonderful time. The managers whilst we were there were French and on call pretty much 24/7. The lodge also will organise trips out to visit the hill tribes and also treks through the countryside - both very worth doing. There is a bridge linking the lodge to an island in the rivers which has on it an infinity edge swimming pool and a viewing platform to watch the sunset. After dark it can turn cold so fleeces are provided by the lodge and also they will put buckets of hot coals by each dining table - it can get that cold. Really it would be hard to find anything to be picky about here so do go and have a relaxing time. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Great food in a lovely location"

Review by: "Poppygoodwill " | Source: Trip Advisor
A comfortable, modern interior with funky sculptures and lots of light. A gorgeous lake view and terrace to sit and enjoy a pre-dinner drink. Delicious food and knowledgeable, attentive service. The genuine hospitality of Lucia and Felix. And it is truly vegetarian friendly. We let them know beforehand that I am vegetarian and without asking, the amuse bouche and other little extras that came were all vegetarian, which was very much appreciated. A really lovely evening in a special place. Well worth it.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Beautiful retreat, great staff, fabulous food!"

Review by: katyanne26 | Source: Trip Advisor
The Hermitage is that rare perfect mix of relaxation & activities . The spa is second to none, but also be sure to do the free yoga each morning at 8am- and book a package to include meditation and extra yoga if you can. Go to the temple trip one evening and also the plantation walk.

CHAKRABONGSE VILLAS: "A tranquil haven in the middle of Bangkok"

Review by: Gillian13100 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We stayed for the last night of our Asia tour and wished we had booked for longer. The Villa is a beautiful place in lush tropical gardens on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Diner and breakfast were superb and you really cant beat the view from the dining terrace. The staff were super friendly, making it all in all a lovely end to our trip. I hope their literary weekend was a success as they were all very excited to be hosting it and opening their doors to the general public for the 1st time."

Satri House: "Absolutely loved this hotel"

Review by: Julie D | Source: Trip Advisor
"Really enjoyed our stay here. It was tranquil, lush gardens, very professional staff and the loveliest rooms with a morning makeup and evening turndown service, even replacing our towels at both times. We enjoyed the a la carte breakfast. Plenty of choice. Most days we headed out to sight see, which the hotel staff organised without a glitch. Upon returning from each tour, we relaxed poolside. Both pools were lovely, we preferred the smaller more refreshing pool after a hot day out. Be sure to take out one of their bikes to explore this beautiful town. And the French Bakery in town makes the loveliest, croissants, pastries and baguettes. Highly recommend!"

Villa Song Saigon: "How Hotels Should Be"

Review by: Groover1964 | Source: Trip Advisor
"A mini break for 4 nights escaping the winter in Perth, Australia. Villa Song lived up to its #1 ranking on tripadvisor. Villa Song is a world class boutique, luxury hotel experience at less than the cost to stay in a country motel in Australia. From the glorious large river room with tall ceilings and colonial touches to the rain shower and crisp white linen the room delivers everything a weary traveller could possibly want. Fast free wi-fi, check. Free mini-bar, check. Free a la carte cooked breakfast, check. Individual coffee maker in room, check. So called 5 Star hotels could do well to introduce some of these features. The staff were polite, helpful and everyone from the pool to the front desk made us feel like welcome guests. The luxury (free) powerboat shuttle into the city is an absolute stroke of genius. A 20 minute relaxing river journey delivers you into the heart of HCMC and rescues you again when you are ready to return. All the convenience of a city centre hotel with none of the noise and chaos. It's hard to fault this place. The restaurant is good if you don't want to explore the other (many) local options, but not as outstanding as the rest of the hotel. If I were to be picky, there is no lift and if you are staying on the top floor, there is an easy 3 flights to help you exercise off your last meal!. I will stay here again, so should you."

Tugu Malang: "Javanese hospitality at best"

Review by: Resa H | Source: Trip Advisor
"I am truely amazed by the hotel's interior, the service, and the food. If you want to feel what is like to live in a Dutch colonial era of Javanese and Chinese Peranakan culture, then Hotel Tugu is the right place to go. The room is very unique, the service is excellent, you can't ask more from this hotel. The best thing is that the breakfast they serve is literally an ""All you can eat Ala-carte"". You can order anything from their ala-carte menu, literally until your stomach is damn full. You want to find out about Javanese and Chinese Peranakan culture and tradition, then this is the place to visit. "

Les Maisons d’Itac: "Great place to stay"

Review by: MrsFanke | Source: tripadvisor.com
We really enjoyed staying at this resort. We slept at Maison Ulysse and I really enjoyed the interior and . The resort has a lot of details and it very well looked after. It is hard to communicate with the staff as they hardly speak any English. But Bryan (the manager) is most of the time present to help and give you tipps. Due to the fact that this resort is very small, it has a familiar atmosphere which we enjoyed. We also felt very safe, never looked our hut
