MesaStila: "Wonderful and different"
"Just left beautiful Mesastila Hotel. In the middle of a coffee plantation surrounded by jungle. We stayed in a typical Javanese villa, like nothing I have stayed in before. It had lovely furniture and antiques and was huge. And as for the terrace-enormous. Fabulous spa and restaurant. The staff couldn't do enough for us. They arranged our trips and were friendly and polite. It is a very different kind of experience at Mesastila. The attention you expect but the buildings, history and immaculate gardens make it an experience you are unlikely to forget. Wonderful."Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "The sort of place where an author could hide away and write a best seller!"
"This is a simply appointed, French influenced, comfortable and very convivial Boutique Hotel with 9 spacious suites just across the road, pier and gardens from the Mekong. Actually, the establishment is more of a restaurant than an hotel because the lower two floors are given over to everyday dining and the rooftop is host to L'Escale, a discreet eatery offering more sophisticated fare. It's also serves Breakfast to guests. Watching early morning activity on the river, we agreed with fellow guests that both breakfast and view were stunning. The two lower restaurants were constantly busy however the sounds of diners having fun did not reach our rooms on the upper floors. You can't please everybody all the time of course and doubtless some will want plushier surroundings, however for us Nambo met key criteria for the Delta: Cool, Quiet, Tasty, Friendly and Reasonable! Internet trouble: no problems; no fuss - Receptionist showed up with a dedicated router - Service with a friendly smile!"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Must-visit restaurant in Siem Reap for affordable price"
First of all the location: this restaurant is in a dark and isolated village in Siem Reap, and it might be difficult even for taxis to reach it. Recommend keeping a map with you (or google maps) in order to find it more or less easily or help the taxi driver to do it. Went there right after Christmas and only had to wait a few minutes to get a seat (no booking, but it's better to have one). The restaurant has two floors, so you can dine downstairs indoor or at their al fresco terrace. They offer a tasting menu of 5 or 6 courses for 24 or 28 USD that changes every 10 days, the food is amazing! Their style is French-Cambodian, and the chef will come visit you at your table at the end of the meal to offer a plate of fresh fruit after the dessert. Must note that the restaurant is open only from Tuesday to Saturday, so it will be a pity to go there when it's closed (also because it's a reeeeeally dark street haha). Enjoy!Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Just Wonderful"
We had the most wonderful taster menu here at such a reasonable price of $31. It was nice to get a choice of 2 taster menus and when I explained that I would like to swap one course with a course from the other taster menu, the chef came out to see me and explain the dish more to help me chose which one to go with. Such a nice touch for the chef to come out. In the end I didn't enjoy the course afterall so the chef as promised sent out the other course I wanted instead. How good customer service is that ? Wish we could have gone again but they were closed for the next few weeks luckily Siem Reap is full of wonderful restaurants so we were spoiled for choice, but none like this place.Rachamankha: "Lovely and serene"
This hotel is a lovely and serene property in the bustle of Chiang Mai, very traditional in style. The pool facility is excellent. Breakfast is excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. However, the door is made of very heavy wood, and the only window fin the room faced a wall, so the room felt a bit like a cell. Service was gracious, if a bit impersonal. The hotel is located on the eastern edge of the Old City. It is a long walk to the daily morning and night markets, but very convenient to the Sunday night walking street.Amata Lanna: "Lovely spot, close enough to the centre but away from the chaos of some other locations"
We had a lovely stay at the Amata Lanna with our family (three young children and three adults). The team at the hotel were so helpful with sorting out ideas for visits and incredibly patient with our children. the rooms were lovely and the breakfast was just right. A really great spot.Muang La Lodge: "Tourisme"

"MesaStila: "Flavour of true and sweet Indonesia"
High level place, perfectly managed, top level food, wonderful garden and atmosphere, a rare sample of kindness from all the staff. All the forniture of the place is really antique. The pool view on the forest is unique.Thank you Mesastila.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "NOT SO EASY TO REACH – BUT HARDER TO LEAVE AND IMPOSSIBLE TO FORGET"
"One of my favourite hotels worldwide. Second time I've stayed here, and, 2 years on, the high standards are still maintained. Also it has become a more affordable option if you shop around on booking sites, making it better value. The service, the food, the uber-glamping ""tents,"" the friendliness of all staff and the unique and unbeatable location are superb - even more so when one considers the challenging logistics entailed in running a luxury boutique resort 30 minutes downriver from the nearest road. This is a place to go to relax. And if that is your intent, that is how you will leave...and then some! Special mention to Piphos on reservations for her rapid and efficient handling of my requests, and Paulo and Luz for their ever friendly and helpful service. My only minor criticism is that the onward taxi transfer prices are noticeably marked up from what you can arrange yourself. I don't readily award ""excellent"" in my reviews - I think the rating is seriously over-abused by TA reviewers. But this one is well deserved. Stayed February 2017, traveled solo"Villa Song Saigon: "What a surprise"
"I spend at least 1/4 of the year on the road and have had my share of good and bad hotels. So I'm a real freak for a comfortable bed, convenience and efficiency when I'm travelling on business. I'm on the go early (4:30am) and need to be able to print, scan, etc and have really good wifi. So it was with trepidation that I booked a stay at last minute with Villa Song. Well, it did not disappoint. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful with everything. The room was very open and comfortable, everything I needed, even for business. The all day breakfast was great as was the food at the restaurant. My only gripe could possibly be the instant coffee packets (for sweet cold coffee I think) in the room - I would have expected something better, may be a small French press. But it worked until the restaurant opened at 6:30 with a real espresso. The location was great, approx 45 min drive through the city from the airport, but at 5am on departure it took less than 25 minutes without traffic. And that business centre for printing? no issue. The staff happily did this at the front desk. They organised a driver who spoke good English for my appointments, and were of great help with suggestions. Always smiling. I look forward to coming back again soon."
