Sandat Glamping Tents: "Incredible"

Review by: Alexandra L | Source: Trip Advisor
I can't recommend Sandat Glamping enough. The atmosphere was relaxing, the hotel was gorgeous, and the service was unparalleled. Absolutely perfect place to stay in Ubud. The hotel staff was very accommodating when helping us plan day-trips and transportation, which was an added bonus.

Reverie Siam Pai: "Absolute Gem"

Review by: AGT1 | Source: Trip Advisor
Decided to come to Pai for a few days and found Reverie through the normal booking agents. Absolutely fantastic. Lovely rooms , gardens, two swimming pools, and great bar! Staff were excellent. Got to say one of my favorite hotels.

David’s Kitchen: "If this were in Europe it would have a waiting list of 3 months"

Review by: in-situLondon | Source: Trip Advisor
"Of course, as the number 1 rated restaurant on Trip Advisor we knew it was going to be good. But we were not prepared for one of the best dining experiences of our whole lives and for the fact that this was going to be much more than just about food. We were greeted by the owner, David, himself, who was entertaining, humble, informative and passionate without being pushy. He made us feel so much at ease and I felt a sense of being at home and being well looked after. This was after a greeter had walked with us to the door shielding us with an umbrella. As we had not booked they had to improvise fast and every table gets a name shield! It is such a nice touch. When you walk into the restaurant area you can feel that the staff love their job. They are all so happy, cannot do enough for you, do not hover, are courteous, smiley and discreet. They exude an aura of people who are well treated. It was more of an extended family atmosphere than anything else. The food was, what I can I say, truly amazing with the best pumpkin soup I have ever tasted in my life and succulent duck with, again, the best mashed potato I have ever eaten, ever. Furthermore, between starter and main course you get served a scoop of sorbet to cleanse your pallet and prior to the soup, a square of watermelon with cottage cheese. Such a delight. We had several chats with David who was floating around, checking that all the diners were happy (amazing that this man is so passionate and committed to his life’s work) and he let us go into the kitchen and meet the chef who was a very unassuming, clearly very talented guy who was also a partner. It was amazing. When we got the bill we laughed as this, in Europe, would have cost 200 Euros at least and we paid 75 Euros (total including all costs and tip) for 3 courses. For fine dining, this is amazing. There is a 10% service charge on top which goes to the staff (we checked) and 7% VAT added but still, we found it amazing value for money for the whole experience you get. As said, if this were in Europe there would be a waiting list of months to come here. When we got home there was an email waiting for us thanking us for our visit. David had remembered everything we talked about and referred to it in his email. We are still raving about our best dining experience in Thailand to date. Service – unbeatable, atmosphere and setting – amazing, food – exquisite, company – out of this world. You MUST come here when you are in Chiang Mai."

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Great location and the service is first class"

Review by: Gordon C | Source: tripadvison.com
"This hotel worked perfectly for us as a final day/night before flying home. It is a high end boutique hotel, at a good price, in a quiet location right by the water's edge. eating out by the water was very relaxing and although the hotel is on the opposite bank from the main tourist area you can have the best of both worlds as their boat service enabled you to easily cross over with the benefit of a free river tour...The rooms are of a very high standard and the icing on the cake was the standard of service. Whoever we talked to from the staff couldn't have been trying harder to help us. Additionally we had a very late flight out in the evening. They tried very hard to accommodate us having a room for an extended period. When this wouldn't work, as they were full, they provided us showers and access to a room to change in. You can't ask for more and if in Ho Chi Minh City again we will definitely be back. Thank you for making the end to our holiday so good. "

Flower Island: "Absolutely Amazing"

Review by: Romatron | Source: Trip Advisor
"My husband and I came to flower island as part of our honeymoon. This is an absolute MUST! It is honestly a once in a life time experience. I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot, especially through Asia, including Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and the Phillippines. I have also stayed in places like Bora Bora. flower island still amazed me and took my breath away. You are on your own secluded island with only a hand full of guests. You stay in a tree house like accommodation- my husband and I felt like Tarzan andJane! You are surrounded by beauty and it is the most relaxing experience. The staff on the island are so friendly. It is very relaxed, and some people may like that 5 star 'being doted on hand and foot' style of service, but this place is so easy going and care free. The service is genuine and kind. Please remember, they lead an island life style, and it is relaxed. There is a bar and a beautiful, earthy restaurant where all your meals are catered for. Nice home cooked meals. I would recommend you get to the dining area as soon as the meal time begins to avoid the food cooling, as it's a buffet style. Also, as my husband and I swam and kayaked all day, we were a little hungry between meals, so we would recommend you bring some of your own snacks. Also, as it's a place that respects and is in touch with nature, expect some small visitors (like bugs etc) to your room, so maybe bring bug spray to deter mosquitos, and I would recommend a torch. I would also recommend a room with air conditioning as it can get a little steamy. We had this style room and it was comfortable. I would also highly recommend the pearl farm tour. Whilst the tour was interesting, the place where they take you to snorkel is amazing and essentially untouched as the area is highly protected. Most of the coral we saw on previously in our el Nido island hopping tours was dead, but this snorkel spot is just breath taking. The best I have ever seen! On the island as well there is a light house, which you can stay in for no extra charge- a great experience for those who are a Little more adventurous! You can walk to the top of the light house and are presented with a 360 degree view! Amazing. Such a wonderful place that offers priceless views and the most relaxing time away. It is worth the slightly expensive transfers in (van and boat ride) but the speed boat ride itself is exciting- we felt like James Bond on our way in! Very classy and a great entrance! One of my favorites spots I have been to so far in all my travels. Such a beauty and one of a kind. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Simply the best"

Review by: Cinthia L | Source: Trip Advisor
Had this short break from work few months ago, and a friend recommended Tugu as we’re familiar with the group’s restaurant in Jakarta. The stay was the highlight after spending time in Gili, meals were surprisingly good although a bit pricy, amazing location, and the service was excellent. Thumbs up for all the staff, so friendly and super helpful. Will definitely comeback next year! YEAYY

Tugu Malang: "Wonderful stay in a slightly eccentric hotel"

Review by: ozone_warrior | Source: Trip Advisor
"What an experience!! This hotel was perfect, get the best room you can afford - it is so worth it. The hotel is an attraction in its own right, make sure you take the tour to see the VIP suites and function rooms., the bizarre collection of furniture and nick nacks courtesy of the owners. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and all of the trips we took originated from their suggestions and with their help. The piece de resistance is the full day tour to Mt Bromo with waterfall included, organised and accompanied by front desk staff (amazing). Malang itself is a wonderful indonesian city with first rate coffee shops, a great bird market and some lovely streets to walk down. PS(the free afternoon tea is a must)"

Locavore: "One of finest meals we have ever had"

Review by: Jim M | Source: Trip Advisor
What a find and we only had lunch. Being from San Francisco, we are food snobs and we enjoyed every part of this meal and atmosphere in the midst of Ubud. Book ahead as truly very special.

Inle Princess Resort: "Nature and quiet"

Review by: AndrzejKatowice | Source: Trip Advisor
"You have to sail in a small canoe for a few minutes before getting there, it's very quiet and beatiful surrranded by nature. We were there in a cold season so at night they make a fireplace in room which keep youwarm all night long. All villas have a huge window and terrase to look at the lake and rest. There are planty of birds around and night is full of ""singing "" frogs! There are mosquitos not too many, that's normal at lake side! Dinner is served in hotel restaurant and it s veru tasty as the breakfast a'la carte. Going to town for food is nonsense. All staff is doing their best to keep you in good mood. PS. Dear Lauren if you are rude maybe the manager is rude too!"

Samanea Beach Resort: "Best kept secret resort in Kep"

Review by: Nathantran | Source: Trip Advisor
One of the first thing that caught our eyes upon our arrival at the resort is how green this place is! Everywhere you can see shaded trees, flowers and tropical plants of all sorts and types-all are well manicured and arranged such that they seem to hug the bungalows in such a harmonious way! The resort itself is located on the side of Kep that's away from the tourist crowds! So here all you can hear and see was the soothing sound of crashing waves, of bird singing, and the evergreen color of the nearby mangroves...You truly felt immersed in nature, at peace with yourself and the environment. The staffs working here were just as friendly and comforting as the environment. They all greeted you with a genuine smile on their face, sometimes a little shy which was in itself charming. One of the managers, Jonathan had gone out of his way to make sure we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay: from recommending the best crab restaurant in town to arranging complimentary transport to pick us up from the border crossing with Vietnam. The bungalow room was very spacious with a cozy living area. However, the most charming feature of the room is the outdoor shower and bath! Very relaxing and romantic to say the least! The resort was only five minutes tuk tuk ride from the crab market and restaurants so going out for dinner or shopping was very convenient.
