Reverie Siam: "An experience to remember"
Reverie Siam will always be a very special place for my mother and I. As soon as we arrived we were transported, this place is so much more than a hotel. Every detail has been thought about, the staff were always one step ahead of us. A special thank you to Mr Sabastian for making each night so lovely, we thank you for your talent and experience. To Toffy for your humor and care, we looked forward to seeing you every morning. There is no doubt we will be back to visit you again and will recommend this oasis to all the special people in our lives. Thank you!The Cabochon Hotel: "Bangkok’s Finest Boutique Hotel"
Every time I visit Bangkok, Cabochon is my accommodation choice. In fact, I've stayed there five times. And each time, the experience was better than the last. I love the old world charm, chic colonial decor, delicious breakfast, and warm and sincere service. Its restaurant Thai Lao Yeh serves good Isan inspired cuisine. The shaved ice desserts are to diet for. The location is convenient, just 10 mins walk to Bangkok's newest mall EMQuartier. The very hip Sing Sing Theatre is a stone's throw away. Cabochon is a must stay if you love original non-cookie cutter hotels. I'll definitely be back!Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Unexpected luxury in a remote area of Myanmar"
Mrauk Oo, in Rakhine State, with its interesting pagodas and stupas is slowly becoming a tourist destination. Nevertheless, the tourists you see there are still few and therefore we didn't expect any particularly nice hotel. We where very surprised when arriving at Princess Hotel we discovered a large extension of gardens and small lakes with bungalows hiding under the high trees and a central building with a nice restaurant. We spent 3 nights there with few other tourists and were very happy to be there, it added a lovely experience to the extremely interesting visits of the archeological sites.Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "A small peace of Heaven here in Ko Samui"
"A funny story about this resort. My partner and I were at Ko Samui for the first time 3 yrs ago and found this place – a small piece of heaven here on earth. We were actually the first ones ever to check in to Sea Dance who just had opened. This resort has since been on our favorite list. Now 3 yrs. later we were able to have another stay here and it’s still as amazing as last time. They had since last time added some more bungalows (all hidden behind hedges you can’t even see them) they also had a new reception and a Spa department. It all looks so great. As Scandinavians we love the design of concrete together with wood. We both tried the oil massage and yes, it’s more expensive than the one you get on the beach – but then again, it’s so much better. Coming here I strongly suggest that you try their food in the restaurant. I had their Fish Taco – the best one I ever had. We got to talk to the chef and they even make their tortilla bread themselves – and trust me, you can taste that. As a final request to the reader planning to go there – you have to try their Passion Fruit Mojito (no words needed) Would I go here again, NO DOOUBT. We love this resort and their staff."Supanniga Eating Room: "This is a review of the Supanniga main location on Sathorn 10"
"Supanniga Group has several restaurants over Bangkok and, somehow, all seem to merge (at least as the TripAdvisor is concerned) into one location at Sukhumvit 55. This is unfortunate, since all have their distinct personality. In particular, the main location on Sathorn 10, is a more interesting version of Supanniga and diners are unnecessarily diverted to the Sukhumvit branch. Try Sathorn Soi 10 and you'll not be disappointed. Traditional Thai cuisine at its best served at a very pleasant location in a well hidden but easily accessible small soi near the Chong Nonsi BTS. Food is superb, try it if you want to taste the real Thai food. Also, for tourists/short time visitors, this should be your chance to see Thailand from inside. Avoid the glitter of the main avenues, go deep into side sois and you'll discover an entirely different, and more authentic Thailand."Villa Mathis: "Petit paradis bien situé"
"Super séjour à nouveau à la Villa Mathis. Charme, tranquillité, amabilité... nous avons le virus et revenons chaque année! Très bonne situation, en retrait de l'agitation des grands centres mais suffisamment prêt pour en profiter quand on veut en profiter."Bassac Cruises: "Not too big, not too small, just right for couples – highly recommend"
My wife & I were running out of time and only did a 2 day/1 night but we were glad we did the Bassac Mekong Cruise (we were on Bassac II) . BestPriceTravel organised a lovely guide Annie and we were so very pleased with the boat quality, the crew service and Annie's informative talks (Annie spent college years in Melbourne - so a good english speaker). The boat looks older but inside it is very modern and although the rooms are small, these are more than enough for a 1 or 2 day cruise as ideally, you will be up on deck watching the interesting Mekong river activities, waiting for an excellent dinner. We stopped of in a village, did a floating markets and a land market and a couple of candy factories. I'd taken several pens and paper 'packs' in ziplock waterproof bags to distribute to young ones and Annie help pick a some candidates that were less fortunate and even convinced the guy driving the boat to pull alongside a floating market trader - the smiles from the children and their mums were worth all the effort of taking and giving. We had based ourselves in Saigon and although the drive to and from the Mekong was a few hours each way the journey was worth it. Great food, educational, and some really interesting sights. The Village House: "Relaxing romantic retreat"
"My boyfriend and I drove down to this getaway after an afternoons walk around Bako park. We found this place through agoda and thought we should give it a shot. Fair warning, the place is very hidden and it does not look like much from the outside. There is no sign at the gate, but since it was google-able, we called the hotel straightaway to get clarifications on the place. Sure enough we found the place! When we arrived, we thought maybe we would be the only ones there, because of how isolated it was... but come dinner time, a few other couples came out of their rooms.. dinner was delicious The staff was polite and kind. However I must commend the service and kindness they gave. We checked out and left for kuching city and had forgotten my shoes behind. One of the staff offered to bring them to town as he was going to the main office. I was sooo thankful for that! Was pretty bummed in the car thinking we had to drive 50mins up to Santubong again and back down to town again. So, thank you very much for bringing my shoes to me! Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"MesaStila: "Fabulous place, staff and food"
"I could not fault this place and enjoyed every minute of my two night stay. Thank you and I will be back one day sooner than later. The meals were superb and I loved the duck...I loved it all. I went to the spa and fell asleep so don't really know what it was like but falling asleep is a pretty good gauge."Villa Song Saigon: "Villa Song"
We really loved this hotel, the location, the staff, the rooms and the food were all fantastic. The regular boat shuttle to the centre of the city along the river was also a real plus. Great stay, would go back and would recommend it to anyone.
